The streamer and YouTuber Erik “Gronkh” Range talked in a Twitch stream about his bad experiences with a former landlord.
Why did Gronkh live on a construction site for years? In one of his Twitch streams, Gronkh mentioned his former living conditions (cut on YouTube). In his previous residence, there was a flood damage. Gronkh’s former landlord supposedly took advantage of this situation to extensively modernize the entire house over the years, including likely installing a solar panel and a heat pump.
This reportedly led to Gronkh living in a state of chaos with his partner Pandorya. At times, it was so bad, Gronkh recounts, that they had to move to a motel: Then we had to basically go to the hotel after the stream at 5 in the morning
to sleep and then somehow find our way back.

Why did Gronkh sue his former landlord? After the construction work was finished, the former landlord of Gronkh evicted the two for personal use, intending to move in himself. However, Gronkh and Pandorya did not accept this and sued their former landlord due to the long-standing ordeal. In the end, they won in court and received a five-digit sum in rent refunds.
Why did Gronkh get angry? At the handover of keys, there were reportedly some sharp remarks from the former landlord. He allegedly said that Gronkh could complain about the situation again in the stream.
Gronkh comments: Dude, at that moment, I swear, I rarely get very, very angry. In that moment, it really clicked in my head and I was like, I got so angry. I was so close to completely freaking out. […] But Philip thankfully held me back, intervened. Luckily, dude, that happens very, very rarely.

Meanwhile, Gronkh continues, he lives in an apartment where both he and Pandorya feel very comfortable. Additionally, their house is currently being renovated – it was also affected by flood damage – so the two can live there in the future again. Gronkh says he wants to live in both the house and the apartment.
