The Pokémon GO Fest is attracting various rewards that players are anticipating. One announcement was so important to a player that he flew all the way to Japan to find the last piece of a collection.
What kind of collection is this? Trainer Tra-ell proudly presents to the Pokémon GO community on Reddit that he has completed a particularly rare collection. He has caught every form of Unown from A to Z, including the “!” and “?” versions, thus registering them in the Pokédex… in their respective shiny forms.
This makes him one of the first and only players in the world, and he might even be the first to be able to prove it. Because this achievement has only recently become possible.
9,600 kilometers in a straight line for a missing Pokémon
What makes the success even more impressive? Collecting all Unowns is already a challenge in itself: There are a total of 23 versions, of which he also caught the still rare shiny variants.
The last shiny Unown that he was missing was the Q. And exactly that debuted in this form at the time of the GO Fest in Japan.
Since the special event Pokémon on-site includes all versions of Unown, the player knew that this was the best opportunity to complete his unique Pokédex.
“I immediately planned and booked everything after the announcement that all shiny Unown would be available,” explains the trainer, who undertook the 9,600 kilometers from England to Tokyo to participate in the GO Fest. He also used this occasion to take a longer vacation and visit some friends in the area, as he clarifies in his thread.
Whether he is actually the first trainer who can boast about this success remains unproven. However, the fact that he was able to find the new shiny Unown in the Q form directly on the first day makes him, along with his other shinies, highly likely one of the first players.
