u003cstrongu003eMeinMMO summarizes all important characters from House of the Dragon. This is Team Green:u003c/strongu003e
King Aegon II Targaryen

- Dragon: Sunfire
Aegon II is the oldest son of Alicent and the late King Viserys I. After Viserys’s death, he was crowned instead of Rhaenyra.
After the brutal murder of his son, Aegon recklessly goes to war. In season 2, he is severely burned in an attack by his own brother Aemond and barely survives. He is currently on the run.
Aemond Targaryen

- Dragon: Vhagar
The one-eyed Aemond is the younger and extremely dangerous brother of Aegon. In season 1, he caused the death of Lucerys, the younger son of Rhaenyra.
One season later, he used the battle at Storm’s End to deliberately burn his brother, on whose side he is officially standing. In truth, he himself covets the throne. Since Aegon cannot rule due to his injuries, Aemond is all too willing to take over.
Helaena Targaryen

- Dragon: Dreamfire
Helaena is the only daughter of Alicent and Viserys. She is the sister and now also the wife of King Aegon II.
In season 2, she suffers a terrible trauma when assassins hired by Daemon force her to identify her little son Jaeherys and then behead him. She then completely withdraws and refuses to go to war on her dragon Dreamfire.
Alicent Hightower

Alicent is essentially the key figure on the side of the Greens, even though she is not queen herself. She is the widow of King Viserys and Rhaenyra’s former best friend.
She pushed for the coronation of her own son Aegon, as she misunderstood Viserys’s last words. However, in season 2, she increasingly loses control and is thrown out of the Small Council. Desperately, she travels to Dragonstone to make an arrangement with Rhaenyra and relinquish the city to her.
Ser Otto Hightower (deceased)

Ser Otto Hightower is the father of Alicent and was for a long time the Hand of the King. After the murder of Aegon’s son, he suggests politically leveraging the incident. However, the reckless King Aegon finds this too slow, which is why he fires him as Hand.
Otto leaves the capital and is briefly shown at the end of season 2 in a prison cell at an unknown location.
At the end of episode 2 of season 3, Otto is executed by Rhaenyra.
Ser Criston Cole

Ser Criston is the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. He initially had an affair with Rhaenyra and later with Alicent.
In season 2, he rises to the role of the new “Hand of the King” and leads the troops into war. He is now marching toward the Riverlands. However, after the brutal battle at Storm’s End, he is psychologically severely scarred.
Larys Strong

Larys Strong, called Clubfoot, is the Master of Whisperers on the side of the Greens. He manipulates events from the shadows and serves Aegon II, but primarily pursues his own interests.
He convinces the crippled king to flee the capital, only to later return him as the rightful king and solidify his power position. He is currently on the run with Aegon II.
Ormund Hightower

Ormund is an important lord on the side of the Greens.
Originally, Hobert Hightower, the oldest brother of Otto, was the head of the house and Lord of Oldtown. When Hobert passes away, his oldest son becomes the successor: Ormund. He is thus the cousin of Alicent.
In the first two seasons, Ormund was not yet seen. However, it is known that he leads the vast army of the Hightowers north to aid the Greens.
Daeron Targaryen
- Dragon: Tessarion
Daeron is the youngest son of Alicent and Viserys. He was not seen in the first two seasons but was introduced by name.
He lives in Oldtown, the seat of his family, and rides the blue dragon Tessarion. At the end of season 2, he sets off with Ormund’s army.
Ser Gawan Hightower

Ser Gawan is Alicent’s brother and an arrogantly appearing knight. He joins the army of Ser Criston Cole and proves to be a capable soldier in battle.
Lord Jason Lannister (deceased)

Jason Lannister is the Lord of Casterly Rock and Warden of the West. He supports the Greens with his army and marches with it into the Riverlands.
However, in the first episode of season 3, we see that this does not end well for him. He is overwhelmed by the troops from the North and beheaded.
Ser Tyland Lannister (deceased?)

Ser Tyland is Jason’s twin brother. In season 2, he travels to Essos to negotiate an alliance with the so-called Triarchy, an alliance of three free cities. To win their fleet, he has to engage in a bizarre mud wrestling match with Captain Sharako Lohar, which he wins.
In the naval battle of season 3 episode 1, Sharako Lohar unceremoniously pushes him off the ship. All that is seen is him helplessly sinking to the ground in his heavy armor.
Sharako Lohar (deceased)

Sharako Lohar is an eccentric commander of the Triarchy and commands their massive war fleet. Through the alliance with Tyland Lannister, she is now officially fighting on the side of the Greens.
In season 3 episode 1, we see Lohar taking her ships to war. She particularly has it in for Corlys Velaryon. However, she is killed in battle by Alyn, the illegitimate son of Corlys.
Almost more important than the characters in House of the Dragon, of course, are the dragons. They grant their riders, and thus also the respective rider’s team, immense power. In the list, you could already see which character generally possesses a dragon. However, we have not gone into the dragons themselves. We have already covered that in another list here on MeinMO: House of the Dragon: The 10 most powerful dragons in the power ranking
