The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

The Rings of Power is a prequel to the Lord of the Rings. The story takes place in the Second Age of Middle-earth, while the first film trilogy took place in the Third Age. After the war against the archvillain Morgoth, peace seems to have returned to Middle-earth, but evil is regrouping in the background.
Since 2024, fans have been waiting for Season 3. There is currently no concrete release date, but in December 2025, it was announced that the filming has been completed. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
- Release: December 12, 2024
The anime film takes place about 200 years before the first film trilogy and focuses on Rohan and the conflict between the realm of Helm Hammerhand and the Dunlender Freca. Childhood friends Héra (the daughter of Hammerhand) and Wolf (son of Freca) clash after Freca is killed.
The film, which explains where Helms Deep got its name, is in anime style and Kenji Kamiyama directed it. He is known for works like Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Blade Runner: Black Lotus. Hunt for Gollum
- Release: December 16, 2027
The upcoming film will focus on the search for Gollum after he learns that Bilbo Baggins has the One Ring in his possession. Aragorn is tasked by Gandalf to find Gollum so that Sauron does not learn where the Ring is located.

Shadows of the Past
- Release: Unknown, production begins after that of Hunt for Gollum
Shadows of the Past is a film that was announced only recently. In it, the Hobbits are supposed to reflect on their journey after Frodo has died. However, a secret comes to light that shows how the war over the Ring nearly failed before the actual journey began.
