When does The Frozen Divide: Nix release? The new expansion of Throne and Liberty goes live on June 25, 2026.
What can I expect in the new region? According to the developers, Nix is the largest region Throne and Liberty has received to date. You can expect a frozen tundra shaped by ancient forces, unstable red fog, and the remnants of civilizations long buried under the ice.
As the adventure codex of the expansion guides you through the new leveling phase to the maximum level of 60, you will uncover the dark plans of the Orders of Sylaveth and the Arkeum Legion, and join the resistance to confront the mysterious forces lurking throughout the region.
In Nix, new open-world activities are expected that reward exploration and lead to spontaneous encounters. You will explore the new region with new movement mechanics: dive from extreme heights with the Aether Suit to glide over vast distances, then ride the Aurora Path that carries you through the skies of Nix.
The new weapon: Gauntlets
What is special about the new weapon? Developed for frontline fighters, the gauntlets introduce a melee combat style that combines survivability, aggression, and mobility into a tank/DPS hybrid play style.
In their heavier combat stance, the gauntlets deliver devastating blows that can overwhelm enemies with raw power and resilience. However, you can also switch to a more aggressive combat state that increases mobility and transforms the blunt gauntlets of the weapon into deadly claw extensions designed for relentless attacks and quick combos.
What does the endgame have to offer? The Frozen Divide: Nix introduces two new cooperative dungeons set in the dangerous landscapes of Nix. Each offers new encounters, mechanics, and rewards – including new gear you need to conquer the toughest challenges of the expansion.
The devs promise a significant evolution of the item systems, giving you more control over how you pursue gear upgrades and progression paths. The “Path of Ascension” system will also receive improvements, along with a broad range of quality of life enhancements aimed at reducing friction points and improving the overall experience.
Roadmap for Throne and Liberty – The Frozen Divide: Nix
As announced for Throne and Liberty, more content will land on the servers in the weeks and months following the launch. The current, still quite rough roadmap looks as follows:
