How much more expensive will the volume be? The next volume of One Piece to be released is number 115. As Oda mentioned in a message that can be read on X, it will cost 20 yen more. This is approximately 11 cents.
He emphasizes, however, that this will be a one-time occurrence. The next issue will return to the normal price of previous volumes.
Why will it be more expensive? Normally, a volume of One Piece includes 10 chapters. In the past, there were instances where 12 chapters were crammed into one volume. This time, Oda even had to squeeze a total of 13 chapters into one volume. This has never happened before.
Due to the continuous story and the pace, which is now being presented towards the end of the manga, this makes sense.
This means that the volume is noticeably thicker and therefore more ink will need to be used to print the volume. That is why the 11 cents are necessary. The author apologizes with this message and hopes that the fans can forgive him.
