Geralt of Rivia is definitely the most famous witcher from The Witcher. But he is certainly not the only one. What other witchers are there? And how strong are they compared to the White Wolf? In the ranking, we have sorted the 10 most powerful witchers from the Witcher video games by strength.
How many Witchers are there? As of The Witcher 3, the witchers are virtually extinct. The exact number of them still remaining is not well known, but it is likely not more than a few dozen.
Of the formerly seven different Witcher schools, only the School of the Wolf is essentially left, having found a last refuge in Kaer Morhen. Survivors from the other schools wander the land only rarely.
What was the ranking based on? We base the list solely on the lore of the Witcher games, which differs in some points from the books and series.
Moreover, we only count characters that actually appear as figures in the main games, namely Witcher 1 to 3. Particularly witchers that only appear on Gwent cards are excluded.
Also excluded from the ranking is Ciri. Although she is trained like a witcher and is definitely a true monster hunter at heart, she has never undergone the traditional herb test. Kiyan – The Mad Witcher from the Cat School in “The Witcher”
In 10th place of the most powerful Witchers from the Witcher games is Kiyan.

If you search in Witcher 3 for the armor of the Cat School, you will encounter the Witcher Kiyan. Or rather, what is left of him.
Kiyan was once a normal Witcher of the Cat School. He worked for a prince for a time and then boarded a ship. However, he was overpowered and captured by a cruel magician named Ireneus var Steingard. This magician used Kiyan to extract secret information about the Witchers. He tortured his prisoner for nearly a month and conducted brutal experiments on him.
Through this terrible experience, Kiyan completely lost his mind and transformed into an aggressive shadow of his former self. Geralt eventually finds him in an underground cave system and frees him from his suffering.
