At GenCon 2027, Wizards of the Coast revealed a lot of news regarding Dungeons & Dragons, including details about the already announced new RPG Warlock. Besides the date when the first gameplay will be shown, another piece of information made MeinMMO editor Caro catch her breath.
What new information was revealed about Warlock? We now know that first gameplay will be shown during the Opening Night Live at gamescom 2026. Hopefully, after the first teaser, we will finally get a better idea of what to expect from this RPG.
Furthermore, the answer to the question of who the patron will be, with whom the Warlock Kaatri has made a pact, has been revealed. It is none other than the powerful sorceress Tasha, who is among the most powerful personalities in the D&D universe. In my opinion, the best possible person has been cast for such an important role, which made me cheer loudly this morning.
I was curious at first, now I’m hyped
Who voices Tasha in Warlock? Maggie Robertson will lend her voice to Tasha in Warlock. A voice actress and motion capture performer, known primarily for her iconic role as Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, but also for her role as Orin in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Through just these two roles, I have become a big fan of her work! She not only brings the necessary authority of a character but also a bit of madness and just a really strong voice to her performance that grabs me from start to finish.
Tasha, as one of the most famous names in Dungeons & Dragons, needs a voice and portrayal that truly befits her. However, Maggie Robertson has proven with her previous work that she is more than equipped for this task.
Just through this announcement, my curiosity about Warlock developed into a (not so) subtle hype, and I look forward to what we will see during the ONL on August 25!
