In Pokémon GO there will soon be free coins for you again. However, you need to be a bit diligent.
Pokémon GO has been offering the GO Pass every month and during events for some time now. This is a kind of battle pass that is available in both a free and a paid version.
Here you can earn points through various activities, level up, and receive rewards. In May, there is again a very special reward: the coveted Poké Coins.
Running, Catching, Fighting
When does the GO Pass run? The GO Pass for May starts on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM. It will be active until Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
What rewards are there? In the free version of the pass, you can receive a total of 400 coins. Additionally, you will encounter Suicune, receive Stardust, experience points, dynamic particles, and other rewards.
The paid version brings you, in addition to the rewards from the free pass, up to 1,000 additional coins, a Super Incubator, and some extra rewards.
Moreover, there are different ranks that you can achieve in the pass. This unlocks bonuses that remain active until the end of the pass. The bonuses are as follows:
- Rank 1 (Level 25)
- up to 40 gifts can be opened per day (50 with the GO Pass Deluxe)
- up to 125 gifts can be received per day (150 with the GO Pass Deluxe)
- up to 10 additional gifts can be stored in the bag (20 with the GO Pass Deluxe)
- Rank 2 (Level 50)
- double duration for daily adventure incense
- Rank 3 (Level 75)
- hatching eggs yields more Stardust as well as experience points
How do I obtain the coins? The coins can be obtained at different levels of the GO Pass. You won’t get them all at once; instead, you need to diligently level up in the pass.
There are various activities to increase your level. These include catching monsters, hatching eggs, and completing raids. Additionally, there are changing tasks that provide you with extra points. You can find out how many points each activity brings you directly in the game at the GO Pass.
You will also see your daily point limit here. Once you reach this limit, you cannot earn any more points through activities on that day. However, the tasks will still award you points.
From Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12:00 AM until Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM, the limit for points is lifted. During this time, you can earn unlimited points through activities.
