Aion 2: Everything about the release, early access, beta, and platforms

When is the release of Aion 2 in the West? On October 5, 2026, Aion 2 will be released globally in the West.

Will there be early access? Yes, and for 5 days before the official release, starting on September 30. You can participate in early access by purchasing one of the founder packages. Read more about it here:

Will there be a beta before that? Yes, there will be a stress test on September 17 and 18, which you can register for via Steam. During these times, you will be able to play:

• September 17, 2026
  • 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM CEST
• September 18, 2026
  • 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM CEST (next day)

You can download the beta version starting on September 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM CEST. Progress will not carry over to the launch. So you will start completely anew.

For which platforms will Aion 2 be released? Aion 2 will initially only be available for PC via Steam and its own launcher. There is a mobile version for the Korean home market, but it is not planned to be released in the West. A console port is in progress but is far from finished. PS5 and Xbox owners will have to show some patience.

When was the release in Asia? Aion 2 has been playable in South Korea and Taiwan since November 19, 2025.
