Pokémon GO: Choose a path for “Explore, Catch or Battle” – All Differences & Rewards

What is an Evergreen week? In May 2026, Pokémon GO is testing the so-called Evergreen weeks. This is a free, time-limited research that takes place during periods when there are no events in the game. Here you must choose a path. Depending on which one you choose, you will receive different tasks and rewards.

The next evergreen week starts on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM. You have the choice between the paths Explore, Catch, and Fight. You have until Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 8:00 PM to complete the tasks, collect the rewards, and enjoy the bonus.

Explore – Step 1/1

Level reward: If you complete both tasks, you will also receive 3 golden razz Berries and 5 Rare Candies.

Bonus: If you choose this path, you will receive 5 times the amount of experience points for spinning PokéStops until the end of the Evergreen week.

Bonus: In the catching path, you receive 1.5 times the amount of experience points when you catch monsters.

Level reward: The battle path also gives you an additional reward of 3 golden razz Berries and 5 Rare Candies.

Bonus: In this path, you will receive an additional 5,000 EP when you complete raids.

It seems that the bonuses are not the same for all trainers. So, in case of doubt, they may be somewhat different for you.

Daily timed research

Some trainers report daily, limited research that is also part of the current Evergreen week. Here you also need to complete tasks and receive 3 golden Himmihbeeren and 5 special candies. The research should be active for only one day.

• Catch (XP)
• Catch (Candy)
• Battle (Raids)
• Battle (Team GO Rocket)

Since the item rewards in each path are identical, you should consider before choosing the path whether you explore, catch, or battle more to make your decision dependent on the bonus. This way, you can ideally earn some additional experience points.

Even though the next days in Pokémon GO focus on the Evergreen week, there will still be events in the game on the weekend and in the coming days in this month. Raids and dynamax Pokémon are, as usual, part of the month: all events in June 2026 in Pokémon GO.
