Jetdragon is one of the most popular Pals in Palworld. A player caught him despite a low chance of 0.09% by using a simple trick – even though he was 10 levels below the dragon.
What trick did the player use? Reddit user Motor-Ad-4577 shares in his post a video showing how he catches the 10-level higher Alpha-Jetdragon with level 60. But not by fighting it fiercely; instead, he takes a different approach.
In his video, he shows how he carefully approaches a sleeping Alpha-Jetdragon – well-equipped with a sphere launcher and around 480 red spheres. He lands, and the spectacle begins:
The poor Jetdragon is ruthlessly bombarded with around 300 spheres and doesn’t even know what’s happening before landing in one of them with a chance of 0.09%. Before that, he had simply let around 299 spheres bounce off of him, which is why he didn’t get a chance to attack his tormentor.
With a big stroke of luck, the dragon is also captured in that sphere and now belongs to Motor-Ad-4577 for all time.
Although luck played a role in this experience, there are good reasons to mimic his approach.
Resource-intensive, but still worthwhile
Why can what the player is doing be worthwhile? Apart from the fact that it is somehow fun to bombard a powerful Pal with balls, like as a child with friends in a ball pit, there are also several advantages to this approach:
- While the sphere consumption is relatively high, low and medium spheres are significantly cheaper to produce than the high-quality ones.
- Thus, following the motto “mass over class”, you can also increase the chance if you have low-value resources left over or are already farming them in your loop.
- By frequently bombarding it, you trigger the Pal’s defensive reaction, so the chance of it being able to attack you is very low.
- So if you want to avoid a fight, it can be worthwhile – especially when the Pal is at a significantly higher level than you and you want to crazy attempt it anyway.
- If you cleverly combine this with Pals like Katriss or use modifications like tracking spheres, you can even perfect this “catching style”.
How do you get the sphere launcher? The multi-sphere launcher is an ancient technology that you can unlock at level 38. For this, you need 5 ancient technology points.
Alternatively, you can always follow an ultimate tip from the community if over-leveled Pals are too boring for you.
