The developers of Path of Exile 2 have revealed their 19 classes and their changes for the upcoming “Legacy of Phrecia” event, and one change is making the community laugh.
What kind of event is this? As in the last year, fans of Path of Exile will receive an event between the seasons. The “Legacy of Phrecia” event replaces the 19 expansion classes in the game with other, wacky versions that are completely different from the usual classes in Path of Exile.
This event first occurred in 2025, and this time the same classes as last year will return. However, compared to the first version, the developers have made some changes this time. The patch notes also bring a smile to the fans.

What does the community find so funny? The new patch notes on PathofExile.com provide insights into the dozens of changes to the expansion classes and general changes, such as the feature that each map has a random modification that enhances it.
However, players are currently laughing about a change affecting the expansion class of the Witch, the Harbinger. In the patch notes, it is mentioned that “The passive ability that the community believes is called ‘Temporal Empowerment’ according to the wiki now has a 55% increased cooldown recovery rate (previously 40%).”
At first glance, it appears that the developers themselves have forgotten what the stat is officially called and then found a name in the wiki that might not be correct. However, the Harbinger stats are not plainly labeled, which is why the developers cannot just say what the stat is really called. They had to find a way to inform the player about what is changing without revealing what the stat is really called.
What are the players saying? Players of Path of Exile are laughing at the developers’ joke and appreciate the discreet message. Reddit user neuby writes: “It looks like they’re trolling, but in reality, they just forgot the node names and had to look them up in the wiki. This happens when you stop teaching Harbinger in schools.”
