Palworld has been in full version for almost two weeks now. Normally, one observes that player numbers gradually decline after such a period in other games of the same genre. Palworld 1.0 achieves the opposite here.
What do the player numbers look like currently? The full version of Palworld was released on July 10, 2026, but even before that, around 40,000 to 50,000 players were simultaneously playing the game. Since then, the numbers have been rising rapidly, as can be seen on SteamDB.
Especially during the release weekend, there was a drastic increase. At the peak, about 855,000 players were playing simultaneously on the servers of the survival game. However, even after the weekend, Palworld managed to maintain – or even increase – its player numbers.
Currently, over 961,000 players were active in the game within the last 24 hours. It is expected that this number will be surpassed again within the next few days.
In many other games, interest wanes after the release weekend and player numbers begin to stagnate or even decline.
Especially in the case of Palworld, dwindling player numbers would not be surprising, as the game has been in Early Access for many years. However, for many players, Palworld does one thing right.

What do players think the game does right? On Reddit, many fans celebrate that player numbers are still rising days after the release. According to them, it is mainly because of the feeling that you want to accomplish “just one more thing.”
The game constantly distracts you in a rewarding way. For example, you might set out to farm a certain resource, but end up discovering new Pals or building plans.
There is always something to do, but without artificial time pressure. This is also noticeable in the playtime, as a user writes:
When it came out, I played it like crazy. I haven’t played in a long time. I thought about starting it again, but every time I played, I somehow lost 12 hours of my day.
Especially the min-max breeding and collecting Pals are incredibly fun.
