Palworld: Finding and Farming Bones and Ancient Bones

In Palworld you need bones and Ancient Bones for medicine and other important items. We explain how to get them best.

How can you get bones? To obtain bones, you basically have two different approaches. The first option to get bones is to defeat or catch Pals. The second option is to buy them from wandering traders.

And what about Ancient Bones? Unlike normal bones, you need to specifically mine Ancient Bones. You can find mining sites in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3 in the northeast of the map.

Farming bones through Pals

What are bones needed for? You need bones in Palworld for crafting various items. These include medicine for your Pals, cement for building bases, or the Mega Glider. Therefore, you should ensure to have a decent stock of bones.

Which Pals can I get bones from? If you defeat or catch one of the following Pals, you can get bones:

Loupmoon	Shadow
Maraith	Shadow
Rushoar	Earth
Vanwyrm	Fire/Shadow

It doesn’t matter whether you catch or defeat the Pals to obtain bones. In both cases, you will receive the valuable resource.

When facing the Pals, pay attention to the strengths and weaknesses of the elements in Palworld so that you can defeat them more easily.

Farming bones – best locations for every level

Farming bones at level 10

A good place where you can already farm bones with a low level is around the small settlement where you can also find a trader. Both north and south of the settlement, you will find Rushoar and Vixy, who both have bones for you as soon as you catch or defeat them.

Farming bones from level 15

If you are already at level 15 or higher, there is another good spot for you to obtain bones. For this, travel at night to the waypoint Entrance to the Gorge and follow the paths west from there. There you will encounter the Pals Cawgnito and Loupmoon, which are also good for farming bones.

Buying bones

If you want to buy bones instead, you need to find a wandering trader. However, these can be difficult to spot. You can definitely find one in the small settlement. Here you can spend your gold on bones instead of farming them.

Finding and farming Ancient Bones

If you instead need Ancient Bones, you must mine them specifically, just like ores. Go to Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3 in the northeast of the map:

There you need to look out for large, stone-like bones with your plasma cutter or trusty pickaxes and mine them. You can hardly miss them.

How do you get to the island? There is no fast travel point on the island. Therefore, you must cross with a suitable flying or swimming Pal. It is best to go to the waypoint in the northeast of the gray coast, where the rock juts towards the island. Start from there and you have the shortest route to your farming spots.
