When is the release of 1.0?
The release for 1.0 is set for July 10, 2026.
I played Palworld in Early Access, do I get the update for free?
Yes, you do not have to pay extra for the new contents if you already own the game. Only the update on your platform needs to be downloaded, and that is free.
Will the price of Palworld increase after 1.0?
This is very likely. According to the FAQ on Steam, it says that the price could increase shortly before or after the official release. So if you want to purchase a strong game quickly at a “good” price, you should definitely act before the release of 1.0. Currently, the game costs on the respective platforms as follows:
- Steam: 28,99 €
- Xbox Store: 29,99 € (“free” through Game Pass Premium)
- PlayStation Store: 28,99 €
Palworld 1.0: Info on the roadmap and new features
Is there a concise roadmap?
There is no roadmap where you can immediately see all the new features. Many fans already got a brief glimpse of the upcoming contents through the last trailer shown at the Summer Game Fest. Additionally, community manager John “Bucky” Buckley has also mentioned details on X that you can expect soon.
What new features will 1.0 bring?
The developers have worked hard and created new contents that should lure you back into the game. These include:
- New Pals will come into the game that you can catch
- There will still be no evolutions like you know from Pokémon – the developers have denied this
- New regions, including access to the World Tree.
- You will soon be able to reach and explore the tree that all players have seen from a distance for months. A new enormous island with new places will be implemented in Palworld.
- Story and progression system have been adjusted
- A story will now be implemented that lets you dive deeper into the world of Pals. Additionally, the speed in the early and mid-game will be adjusted. This is to make the gaming experience smoother and feel better.
- Many “Quality of Life” adjustments
- The team has worked on the servers as well as the overall connection. The notorious rubberbanding issue should no longer be so persistent thanks to optimized solutions. Also, further adjustments have been made, but these are not yet known.

Palworld 1.0: Server Wipe and GamePass
Is there a server wipe and will I lose my save after 1.0?
No! You will still be able to keep your progress as well as your built bases. There will be no server wipe. However, the developers recommend creating a new save file just for the gaming experience and because of the new contents. This way you can experience all the contents better.
I want to buy Palworld on Steam, but I played it via Game Pass before – is there a way to import the save to Steam?
Yes, there is a way, but it is a bit complicated. You will need the XGP Save Extractor from GitHub. This is a script for Python that you can run. It will generate many zip files with the saved games it supports, including Palworld, after a short search through your Xbox directory. To accomplish this, you need to proceed as follows:
- Activate the .exe file of the XGP Save Extractor and let the process run.
- Now search in your directory where you downloaded the extractor for the files you need – in this case, a .zip file of Palworld.
- Now go to Steam and add these to the folder where your world is located
- You should have logged into Palworld beforehand so that Steam can create the folder structure.
Now you should own your old Palworld world, which was previously only in the Xbox cloud. This way you can continue where you left off.
