What’s up with the snow? Observant players noticed something new on the spawn island in Fortnite today. Snowflakes were falling from the sky, but it was just very light snowfall and no snow has settled so far.
Nevertheless, a lot could change in the game soon.
Snowballs, Snowboarding, and White Christmas?
This could all change in the game soon: According to a leak from a few weeks ago, there are already assets for snow in the game, including sound files for footsteps in the snow.
Therefore, snowfall in Fortnite is likely to increase soon, and by the start of Season 7 on December 6, 2018, the map might be completely or partially covered in snow.
Many players on Reddit even wish for the entire map to shine in winter white. In addition, there are the following speculations:
Snowballs: Some players hope for snowball fights. At least a snowball action emote is likely to follow the throwable tomatoes in Season 6.
Footprints: When everything is covered in snow, one might be able to see footprints in the snow and track enemies. In the competitor game Darwin Project, this is an essential game element.
Winter Sports: In the teaser image for Season 7, a small figure can be seen snowboarding across the ice. It is likely that there will be opportunities to ski or snowboard in certain areas.
What’s up with the iceberg? The snowfall may be the first sign of the approaching iceberg that is heading towards the Fortnite map. Inside it, there is a frozen castle, where the lights recently turned on.

Many players may still remember Winter Wonderland from previous years. This year, Blizzard is bringing back the winter event. It all starts on December 11.
Winter Wonderland 2018 in Overwatch – What’s inside?
On social media, the Overwatch team announced Winter Wonderland 2018. A short teaser trailer shows that the Blizzard World map transforms into an inviting Christmas setting. And it features a night theme instead of bright sunshine.
How long does the event last? The event starts on December 11 and will be active until January 2. So you have nearly 3 weeks to take advantage of the event bonuses.
What content does the winter event bring? Blizzard has held back details on the event. The community assumes that, as usual, there will be skins, other cosmetic items, and probably a Christmas map. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Is there a new brawl? Another question players are pondering. In a developer update from September 2018, Jeff Kaplan, the Overwatch Director, explains that while Blizzard would continue to create cosmetic items for seasonal events, the seasonal game modes would remain as they are. Instead of creating new ones, the focus would be more on balancing and quality-of-life improvements.
It seems that the popular mode Mei’s Yetijagd will return to Overwatch for these holidays.

In the Fortnite: Battle Royale the 2nd teaser for Season 7 has been released. It showcases two cool new game contents that should shake up the gameplay quite a bit.
What can be seen in the 2nd teaser? After Teaser 1 showed a dark figure, Teaser 2 addresses a small detail from the first teaser. There was a small snowboarder visible. It seems to be one of the new skins, because in the 2nd teaser you see the snowboarder up close.
It is a figure with an animal head on a snowboard. The head has large ears, possibly from a fox, wolf, or cat-like creature. Foxes would certainly fit with the already known character Drift from Season 5.
Zip-Lines and Snowboards
What does the snowboard mean? The snowboard figure is certainly one of the upcoming skins from the Battle Pass of Season 7. The snowboard is a clear hint at a new mode of transportation that you will likely get in Season 7. This should allow you to move quickly across the likely snowy areas of the map.
Zip-lines are also coming: Another detail from the image is a small figure in the background swinging along a zip-line. This is likely to mean that there will be such zip-lines at certain locations in the game. With the zip-lines, quick travels to the other side of the line could be possible.
Players are excited about Season 7
This is how fans are reacting: Players are currently hotly discussing what the zip-lines and snowboards might mean. Many players are particularly looking forward to the winter sports equipment and the speed boost that the game should gain from this.
Some players are also astonished at how audacious Epic would be to “steal” from the battle royale competition Ring of Elysium, since they already had snowboards in play before.
Does the new skin resemble Black Panther or Ninja? One player interprets the first skin as a kind of Black Panther look-alike. Another player claims to have recognized the popular streamer Ninja, who should finally get his skin.
The hint for the 3rd teaser: Another interesting detail is that the teasers seem to zoom one level deeper into the background of the previous image. In Teaser 1, the snowboard figure was in the background; in Teaser 2, it would be the zip-line guy.

Server stability prevented the new update
During the stream, Community Managers Dan Mitre and Jeff Braddock, along with map designer Joe Shackelford and Dev Manager Ben Turner, discussed the postponement of the update and the new features it brings.
Why was the update stopped? It was initially supposed to be released today, December 4th. However, it was halted at the last moment.
The developers stated that server stability was poor and they could not rule out a server crash.
In order for players to fully enjoy the new chapter, the developers withdrew the update and now plan to work on ensuring stability along with the update.
When is the Overture update coming? The developers are working hard to get the update into the game soon. They have already prepared an improved version of the new update and want to test it now.
Developers showcased the new map and improvements
In the nearly two-hour livestream on Twitch, the developers showed viewers what is coming.
New map will be huge: The new map “Tank Storm” is a must for tank fans.
It is the largest map in Battlefield 5 so far and is designed for a massive tank battle. Up to seven tanks per team can fight against each other on the map. Infantry can take out tanks using anti-tank traps.
An insight into the new story: The developers also showed a small preview of the new story “The Last Tiger”. In this, you play as a German soldier trying to defeat American troops with your tank.
Today, on December 4, 2018, the update 1.30 / 2.1.1.1 for Destiny 2 has been released. The servers on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 are back online. In Ashes of Creation, the theme of world-building plays a very important role. Through this system, cities can be built and houses constructed. However, before getting to your own house, one must first collectively develop a location.
The entire world of Ashes of Creation is divided into delineated zones. Each zone has a so-called Node, a central location where cities can be constructed later. Depending on the environment, these Nodes will have different focuses, which we will discuss at the end of the article.
How do I get my own house?
Every activity in a zone, whether questing, gathering, or raiding, influences the development of the Node. Only after a certain period can it be developed into cities.
When does the Node become a city? There are a total of five levels that such a Node can achieve:
With the achievement of the third level, building can start in a Node. However, initially, there are only a few building spots. The further a city develops, the more space there will be in it. It should take many weeks to develop into a large metropolis.

The first own house: The first houses are reserved for only a few players. They can be bought after the development into a village, just like in real life. Players will also be able to sell houses to other players if they wish to move to another Node.
The first houses only have one room and are not particularly luxurious. However, they are located in the open world and are not instanced.
Concept of a larger house in Ashes of Creation
The city continues to develop: The larger the city becomes, the larger the houses will be as well. Already constructed buildings will automatically grow with it. This is intended to reward players who invest early in a small Node.
With the expansion, additional building space will also be made available. Here, players can settle again, though again in the small 1-room houses.
Visually, a city adapts to the faction that controls it. If it belongs to humans, they have a different style than if the city belongs to elves.

What can I do with my house?
Every player can own one house per server and can decorate and furnish it as they wish. There will be furniture available that can be freely placed. An important aspect will also be the social life that one can shift to their own house.
Additionally, one will be able to use their house for their own professions and showcase their achievements. The further the city progresses, the more opportunities there will be with the house.
Can I lose my house? Since Nodes can also be attacked, you can lose your own house again. In an attack, the smaller houses will be destroyed first, and subsequently, the larger ones.
However, your progress is not completely lost. Should your house be destroyed, there is a template system that automatically saves the furnishing and layout of it. You can then set everything up again in a new house.
The Apartment System
Anyone who, like in real life, does not have enough money for their own house can rely on so-called apartments. These are very similar to the basic system of the houses.
What is different about apartments? Apartments do not exist in the open world, but are completely instanced. There is a location from which all players’ apartments can be entered.
They permanently consist of only one room, although the size of the room increases with the expansion of the city. Since you are not dependent on the limited space, which drives up the price, another system is used.
The more apartments a city owns, the more expensive it becomes to buy a new one. Additionally, the apartments will be destroyed before the small houses during an attack. However, the storage system still applies here.

If someone does not want to dream of a house, they can go even further in Ashes of Creation and operate a tavern or a forge. From the so-called “Freeholds”, only one building per account can be constructed.
How do Freeholds work? Freeholds can only be built if one has the appropriate blueprint and the necessary materials. They are intended to be expensive and can be placed by players in Nodes at special locations.
Owners of the buildings can name them, just like with ships. As the cities expand, Freeholds should also contribute to progress. Taverns will unlock new quests for players or provide logging camps for resources.

Who leads a city?
For a city to function properly, it needs a leader. Each Node has a different focus. There are:

Depending on the Node, the leader is determined differently. In divine and scientific Nodes, leaders are elected democratically. In an economic Node, you purchase the leadership. Those wishing to rule in a military Node fight for it in a gladiator arena.

How can I play Ashes of Creation?
There will soon be a PvP spin-off of the game that you can play for free. Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse is primarily a test environment for balancing and server stability.
The main game is still in an alpha phase, which you can currently access only if you purchase a package in the shop for $250.00.

Bethesda has released the patch for Fallout 76 The patch seems very extensive, although its size appears tiny, especially compared to the massive Day 1 patch.
What does the patch bring? The patch increases the size of the storage, fixes some bugs, and adjusts the balance of weapons and enemies. There are also several quality of life improvements.
The next patch for Fallout 76 will be released on December 4th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It will be approximately 36 MB for PC and about 3 GB for PS4 and Xbox One.

This is changing in storage: The size of your personal storage will increase from 400 units to 600 units. This allows you to store one and a half times as many items as before.

This is changing in creatures: Higher-level enemies now give fewer experience points than before. The XP reward has been reduced.

These technical innovations are now available: On PC, the frame rate is no longer limited. Players have long complained that their machines could deliver more graphical performance than Fallout 76 allowed due to the limit.

With its own store for games, Epic aims to attract new PC players. And possibly take them away from Steam – right next to Fortnite. In doing so, they criticize Valve.
This is Epic’s plan: Many of you know Epic as the creator of Fortnite. The free battle royale game is installed on many computers. Epic is now leveraging this reach, this installation base, to launch its own shop for online games.
The advantage: Instead of taking 30% like Valve (Steam), Epic’s store only takes 12% of the revenue per game sold. 88% goes to the developers of the game.
A clear challenge to Steam, which is reiterated in an interview with a jab. They accuse Steam and Valve of demanding too high a share of the revenue.
The Epic Games Store – What is known?
This is what Epic is doing now: Epic is building a new launcher, into which the games store will be integrated.
What does the store do differently? Epic’s store divides the revenue 88% to 12%. 88 to the game’s developers, 12 to Epic for providing the platform.
In contrast to Steam’s 70/30 version, this is a clear advantage for the developers of the distributed games.

Clear challenge to Valve: Too high markup

“In our analysis, the 30% stores markup their costs by around 300 to 400 percent.”
Sweeney believes that a store can be profitable with only 12% – and does not need to demand 30%. A clear jab at Steam and its operator “Valve,” who want 30%. They have calculated the 12%, explains Sweeney.
There is also a graphic comparing games using Unreal Engine with the competing engine Unity on Steam and Epic Games.
In Epic’s store, it doesn’t matter which engine the games use that are distributed there. However, if games use the Unreal Engine, Epic waives the licensing fee.
“We believe that creators (game developers and also content creators) are responsible for the tremendous growth and dynamics of the gaming industry and should receive the lion’s share of the profits from game sales,” Sweeney says to MCV. “Companies offering support services like engines, stores, platforms, and payment processing are only there to help. They should also be paid accordingly.

Anyone who was planning to earn some specialties for their account in World of Warcraft: Classic is out of luck.
There will basically be no “cross-rewards” between the current version of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth and World of Warcraft: Classic. So, if someone finds a nice weapon in the Classic version of WoW, they will not unlock it for their Battle.net account and their collection. WoW: Classic is intended to remain a closed system.
Two separate games: In the official forum, Community Manager Ythisens explained that “Classic” and “Retail” (the current version) are two completely separate games until something else is announced. That is not currently the plan, and the current opinion on this matter is “rock solid”.
Some players are disappointed: For some players, the approach of World of Warcraft: Classic was primarily motivating because they hoped to earn old rewards for the current version of World of Warcraft. They wanted to obtain the T3 sets from Naxxramas, which are no longer available in the current version (or only for several million gold and with much luck in the black market auction house).
Exception for Collector’s Edition pets? It is still under discussion whether players who owned a Collector’s Edition back then would also be granted their special pets again in “Classic”. After all, these pets exist in the Retail version of the game, and the license they acquired back then applies. This topic still needs to be discussed internally.

Screws – where to search?
You are best off searching for the corresponding items in the area. For screws, you need items that are relatively common in the region. So, you should carefully look around while moving through the game world.
While there are no classic farming spots, fans seem to have identified a spot where you can get a lot of screws: Sugar Grove, north of the National Radio Research Centers. Additionally, there should be other useful materials like aluminum.
Sugar Grove is located in the eastern part of the Savage Divide region.
Other players suggest killing Wendigos. Although these are fearsome and almost naked creatures, Wendigos are said to be a good source of screws. They are not the first bosses that drop strange loot.
Where do I find Wendigos? Inside Fort Defiance, a Wendigo awaits you. It should be at level 42. So make sure that your level is high enough. Fort Defiance is located in the eastern part of the Cranberry Bogs and is the former base of a known faction.
A basic tip: No matter what material you are looking for, use the “Tag for Search” function. This will always show you with a magnifying glass whether a certain item contains the sought material.
