The streamer Forsen likes the new MMO Atlas, but recently advised “Don’t buy it” in the title of his stream. This is an ironic protest against sponsored streams.
This is the biggest stream of Atlas: Sebastian Fors “Forsen” (28) is a veteran on TwitchTV. The Swede has experience with Starcraft 2 and has been active on the streaming platform for many years. In 2015, he made his breakthrough with Hearthstone.
Forsen is known for moderating his community lightly, which is considered sharp-tongued and toxic with many inside jokes. Forsen’s community has, for instance, already made fun of DrDisrespect and drove him to frustration with an emote.
Currently, Forsen enjoys the controversial pirate MMO “Atlas” and is regularly the biggest streamer on Twitch for the game. Despite much criticism of Atlas, there are also people who appreciate the new early access MMO.
This is how his community reacted: The Twitch chat has recently accused Forsen of being “sponsored”, meaning he receives money from the developers to play Atlas.
Because fans know that big streamers had “sponsored streams” for Atlas. There is a rumor that the developers made deals to cleverly push their MMO through streams.

As the site Dexerto reports, this was a humorous moment between Forsen and his stream to prove that he is indeed not “sponsored”.
Meanwhile, Forsen has changed the title of his stream again, but at one point he referred to his action as “Don’t buy Atlas – the new Twitch meta #notsponsored.”

Many appreciate that Forsen addresses the sponsorship issue. He is certainly the streamer who has done the most for Atlas’s popularity without being paid for it.
However, some note that Forsen shouldn’t be celebrated too much here. After all, he was sponsored for a long time by the controversial key seller G2A.
This is what it’s all about: It is ironic that streamers who truly love a game and play it voluntarily do not benefit financially as much as those who are “paid” to check it out.
From the publisher’s perspective, this makes sense; they want to reach a new target audience with their money.
In his own way, Forsen here addresses an issue of “Twitch culture” between publishers, viewers, and streamers. A relationship that is still being negotiated.
