Borderlands 3 reveals more and more details about the game. Here are over 50 weapons visible in the video – some with interesting effects.
In a few weeks it will finally be time, then fans can finally get their hands on Borderlands 3. But until then, developers and publishers are heating up the hype and keep showing small gameplay snippets. Over IGN, short clips have been released in recent days that show individual guns in action.
What can be seen? The YouTuber Hayder Hype has taken the individual clips from IGN and compiled them. He has also sorted them by the respective weapon manufacturers, making it easier to compare weapons and bringing the specifics of each manufacturer into focus.

In Season 10 of Fortnite: Battle Royale, something big will soon change on the map again. This time, the machines for the Rift have appeared at Mega Mall. Is this place soon to be history?
What happened? Anyone who visited the location Mega Mall in Fortnite recently probably noticed the strange machines suddenly standing around there.
What happens next? YouTuber Ali-A, who discovered the anchor and posted it on Twitter, suspects that the days of Mega Mall are now numbered. He saw this coming and suspects that Season 10 is slowly bringing back the futuristic new areas from Season 9 through the Rift anchors.

Others think that Mega Mall will be brought into the future, to a time when it exists as a ruined, empty shell of its current form.
Maybe Mega Mall will even become a sort of western shopping street again.
Additionally, many players agree that Mega Mall will have a special rule:
Some fear that there will be a building ban here as well, as was the case at Tilted last time.
Others speculate a zero-gravity zone where you’ll make enormous jumps.
Others think that there might not be any jumps in the new zone and that you have to stay firmly on the ground.
When will the changes arrive? It is also unclear when it will happen. However, it is suspected that it will be in the next update. This usually happens on Tuesday or Wednesday, but at the latest on Thursday, when the new mission challenges are planned.
Will players have to resort to drastic measures again in the event of a new building ban?
Fortnite: Battle Royale has another reason to hate the new mech. Because with a bizarre glitch, it may be that you automatically win the game without lifting a finger.
What is the glitch? In Fortnite, the new mech is a major nuisance for many players. The stomping battle machines are extremely powerful and difficult to counter. But there is another reason to be mad at them: A glitch enables an exploit that guarantees you win the game.
A YouTuber has explained exactly how it works on his channel. We don’t want to explain an obvious exploit here, as this is clearly not desired and could rightfully lead to a ban. After all, you are ruining the fun for everyone else.
However, when the glitch is properly exploited in duo mode, two players can use a mech and a grenade to self-destruct and somehow convince the game that they are still a living mech with 1,000 hit points.
This then allows you to survive as a bodiless but still present player until the last opponent miserably burns up in the storm. A cowardly and mean way to win that works like a charm if you exploit the complicated glitch.
What happens, however, if 2 teams use this exploit is not known.
Does the glitch finally lead to the mech being removed?
This is how players are reacting: The video about the glitch has already been viewed almost 29,000 times (as of August 10, 2019). While some are excited about the “trick” for an easy victory, others humorously hope that the mech will finally be removed from the game as a measure against this glitch:
“Thanks for doing God’s work here, now hopefully they’ll finally remove the mechs!”
“Thanks for getting rid of the mech for us!”
“Hopefully Epic will finally remove the mech from the game because of the glitch!”
What is being done against the glitch? So far, Epic has not reacted to the glitch and exploit. Since the problem seems to be inherently related to the mech, it could possibly lead to a (temporary) removal of the vehicle from the game.
This is Epic’s response
Update 12.8. 16:33: Sean “MrPopo” Hamilton from Epic has now commented on the glitch (via reddit).
It is stated that Epic can confirm this problem will be fixed with the V10.10 update.
There is no exact date for the update yet, but possible release dates for the patch and thus the fix could be Tuesday, 13.8., or Wednesday, 14.8.
On August 5th, the second Closed Beta for the MMORPG Astellia ended. After this test, many shared their experiences in forums and on Reddit. The conclusion is predominantly positive.
How did the second beta test go? The second beta ran from July 30th to August 8th. For this, the developers of Astellia adjusted some content, which was criticized in the first test.
There was an attempt to reduce the downtime between battles, and the world PvP was given a bit more focus. Players are generally satisfied with the changes, although there are some concerns about the number of players.
Too few testers for the world PvP
What do the players think about Avalon? In the large world PvP, the three factions Ceres, Physe, and Eos compete against each other. For one week, players can join a group, fight for it, and earn rewards.
In the second Closed Beta, this area, which is very similar to the world versus world from Guild Wars 2, was supposed to be tested. However, many players simply couldn’t find opponents, as they reported on Reddit:
Groqstrong: I jumped into the area of Avalon, but it was like a ghost town. Where are the PvP zones?
Idunaz: I used the “Instant Level 50” boost and wandered around Avalon. During that time, I encountered 4-5 opponents in an hour.
Players are concerned about player numbers: User CieI is pessimistic regarding the PvP area. He describes that there were already problems with Avalon in Korea because the Open World PvE simply offers more rewards.
The Reddit user PizzaForever98 goes even further. He fears that Astellia will generally struggle with low player numbers in the West because there has been hardly any media attention for the Asian MMORPG.
What do players think about Astellia? PizzaForever98 does have concerns about player numbers but finds the MMORPG very good:
The game is really fun, but there are still thousands of beta keys unused and you hardly see players in-game. The game lacks a bit of PR.
Many users call it Bless 2.0, but it has nothing in common with Bless, except for the engine. The developers urgently need to create awareness, or the game will die quickly.
Groqstrong: The graphics of the Astels is the only issue I have with the MMORPG. [..] I understand that Astellia doesn’t bring much new, but it also doesn’t advertise itself as a game changer. The game may not be for everyone, but I like it.
DemonicToys666: The game is really fun and it reminds me a lot of Aion. I would love to play it at launch, but I don’t want to invest money because it will probably fail.
What criticism is there? Not all voices on Reddit are positive. Some criticize Astellia for not bringing any unique features or innovations.
Normadie calls the Astel system an overly glorified pet system. It only increases the grind because you have to level both yourself and the pets.
A game released in 2018 with DirectX9 and Unreal Engine 3? An AFK simulator with the only exciting feature being to dodge fields on the ground?
Girls that look like 12-year-olds with big breasts and high heels, setting out to explore the world? [..]
Is this the MMORPG that’s supposed to give players a bit of hope?
Good performance inspires hope for the future
How was the performance of the beta? There are often discussions about performance in MMORPGs. Some games do not reach the desired FPS count, which is why performance is closely monitored during the beta.
However, here too, the positive voices prevail, stating that they had no problems with FPS counts and lags. Again, user Groqstrong again draws the comparison to Bless.
There are said to be worlds of difference in performance between the two games, favoring Astellia.
What’s next for Astellia? Currently, there is no exact information about the future of the Asian MMORPG. What is certain is that a release is still planned for 2019.
When exactly and whether we will have another beta test beforehand is still unknown.
We also took a look at the MMORPG in the first beta and drew a conclusion:

The online shooter Destiny 2 will receive the “Cross-Save” feature in a few days. Players will then be able to switch from PS4 to PC or Xbox One and vice versa, taking almost everything with them to their new home. Well, almost everything. Because the Silver remains on the old platform.
What can you not take with you? First of all, the expansions and games you purchased will be missing. Just because you own the “Forsaken” expansion on PS4 doesn’t mean you can continue playing it on PC. This has been known for a while.
New information is that you also cannot take the real-money currency “Silver” to the other platform. You must spend the Silver on the platform where you purchased it.
You will only possess the Silver associated with a character that you purchased on the current platform and have not yet spent.
This apparently stems from the fact that each platform has its own shop.
Those switching permanently should keep the Silver problem in mind
Who does this affect and how can they solve the problem? If you plan to permanently switch platforms and want to transition from PS4 to PC and burn all bridges behind you, you should consider in the coming days what you want to do with your existing Silver: Specifically, what cosmetic item you might want to acquire.
Because on the new platform, the Guardian will possess the newly purchased item, but not the Silver they had accumulated before.
If you plan to play permanently on two platforms anyway, the lack of Silver might not be an issue. The real annoyance is that you will have to buy Forsaken or the season pass again.
First info is known about the story mode in FIFA 20 Volta. You can play these contents in the story mode of Vilta, that’s how long the game duration is and that’s the story trailer.
This is the story mode in Volta: “Volta” is a comprehensive, new mode in FIFA 20 where you play not on the field, but on small fields in 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5. Street football returns to the FIFA series with Volta.
Volta consists of 4 game modes:
There is a story mode
In the Volta kickoff mode, you play with real teams on small fields
In the Volta Tour, you compete against other community teams in single-player mode
You can see the story mode as a detailed tutorial that gently introduces you to this Volta world.
This content is offered in the story of FIFA 20 Volta
You can play this in the story: In the story mode, you kick against street football legends, professional footballers, and teams generated by the community, according to EA Sports. These are the main features:
You create your own avatar. This is then the main protagonist in the story and the character you will play with in the Volta world. Your avatar is “dynamic” – the better you play, the better the avatar gets. You can freely determine appearance and gender.
You learn how to recruit players. To succeed in street football, you cannot just kick alone. You have to build a team over the course of the story to outplay the opposing teams.
In the story, you learn the basics of how to build and manage a team.
You play against street legends in competitive matches on their home fields.
Additionally, there are mini-skill games where you can, for example, break glass windows. Through these mini-games in FIFA 20 Volta, you can unlock rewards.
What is the story about? Your avatar has a dream: he wants to be invited to the VOLTA WORLD Championships in Buenos Aires and win the “ultimate small field prize.” For that, he now needs to build a team that can help him succeed.
So you will not be a professional footballer like Alex Hunter in The Journey, but a street kicker.
Story trailer for Volta: EA Sports has released a short trailer for the story in FIFA 20 Volta that captures the street atmosphere:

The trailer doesn’t reveal too much yet. But EA promises that the story will be an “immersive experience.”
Is this a sequel to The Journey? The Journey was the story mode from FIFA 17 to FIFA 19. The trilogy about Alex Hunter ended in FIFA 19. The Volta story mode tells a new story with new protagonists.
How long does the story last? When does it end?
So the story mode is supposed to last: According to the developers, the story is about 5 to 6 hours long. That is significantly shorter than the story of The Journey.
The war mode in World of Warcraft is a great thing. Especially Cortyn is happy about it, because it brings significant advantages – without any danger.
Since Battle for Azeroth, there has been the war mode in World of Warcraft, which is supposed to entice players to PvP. On all realms, players must actively choose to participate in this mode in order to be attackable by the other faction. This is rewarded with different bonuses, such as additional quests and rewards, which then result in more gold or extra reputation points. Actually, the war mode should also pose some danger, but that is not the case – at least not on the realm “Die Aldor”, as it is a special case that simply bypasses the system.
The bonus in war mode: In the war mode, there is a varying bonus on received gold, currencies like mana pearls, or experience points during the leveling phase. This bonus ranges from 10% to 30% and depends on how balanced the factions were in the past week within a region (Europe, America, etc.). So if there were many more Horde players than Alliance members in the war mode last week, then there will be a larger bonus for the Alliance in the next week. This is intended to give the previously disadvantaged faction an incentive to still venture into the war mode.
The Aldor is a very special realm
And this is exactly where the “problem” of my realm comes in. The Aldor is not only a role-playing realm but also a quite peculiar one in Blizzard’s realm structure. Unlike almost all other realms, the Aldor is not automatically connected by “cross-realm” with other realms. This means in clear terms: if you play on “Die Aldor”, you only encounter people from that server. The only exception occurs when players from “Die Aldor” open a group and players from other realms join the group.
This is of course a wonderful thing because the Aldor is one of the last RP realms where a lot of RP is still done. Not being disturbed by “server outsiders” who jump in with spells during RP conversations is really relaxing in the RP metropolises and a clear plus point.
As an RP server, the isolation is perfect.
But now we come to the absurdity that a connection of these two systems brings with it. On the Aldor, there is a very unequal distribution of the two factions. About 70% of players play an Alliance character, while there are about 30% for the Horde. The “real” numbers are probably even more unfair and are distorted by the fact that many Alliance players also have one or two characters on the Horde.
Because the Alliance is completely superior, most Alliance characters also play directly in war mode in PvE. Since only players from “Die Aldor” are there, you don’t have to fear attacks from the Horde.
Technically speaking, the realm belongs to the “Europe” area and thus benefits from the war mode bonus that applies to the entire region. Across all of Europe, the Alliance is almost always outnumbered.
Ultimately, this means for my realm that the Alliance permanently enjoys a bonus of 25% or 30% and is still the superior faction that has nothing to fear in the war mode.
Even more bonuses without risk: But the 25% – 30% are not the only bonus you get. Additionally, there are extra quests in Nazjatar or Mechagon, as well as of course the pure advantage of actively using the PvP talents in the open world. This makes farming particularly enjoyable.
Do you remember the “Air Drops”, those loot boxes that land in Nazjatar approximately every 45 minutes? 100% of them go to the Alliance.
By the way, airdrops are also virtually given for free.
I therefore have access to additional rewards and abilities and an almost non-existent risk.
The situation on the Aldor is so absurd that Alliance players in the general channel are sometimes completely outraged when one or two Horde players stray into the war mode and kill someone. Often, there is an uproar in the general channel about it, and some sarcastically ask:
“Horde players in the war mode from Aldor? Isn’t that against the terms of service?”
Cuddle mode instead of war mode – there are hardly any Horde players.
In summary, playing in war mode as an Alliance player on the Aldor feels like cheating. It doesn’t feel fair and also somewhat ruins the sense that the war mode is supposed to convey. Therefore, I would even wish that – at least in war mode – the realm would be connected with other realms.
Because where there is a sunny side, there is also a dark side, and a group of players that I feel sorry for: The Horde side of the Aldor. They have all the disadvantages of the war mode but not a single advantage. Except maybe the certainty of always having enough targets in sight.
The Elder Scrolls Online receives two new dungeons today: the Halls of Maarselok and the Moongrave Temple City. We were able to play through the latter live with the developers. Here are our highlights!
Which dungeon is it about? We were with the developers Rich Lambert (Creative Director), Jeremy Sera (Lead Content Designer), and Mike Finnigan (Lead Designer – Dungeons) in the dungeon “Moongrave Temple City”.
This instance is part of the new ESO DLC Scalebreaker, which is released today, August 12, 2019, for PC. The console versions will follow on August 27.
This is the story behind the dungeon: The Temple City is still in Elsweyr and has long been abandoned by the Khajiit. However, dark vampires from the cat folk can now be found there, who have made the Temple City their hideout.
That would be bad enough, but the vampires have teamed up with a rogue Dragonguard and brought a dragon down from the sky.
The beast is now being held in the center of the Temple City and is intended to serve as a blood bank for the vampires. The blue suckers hope to gain legendary dragon powers by consuming the dragon’s lifeblood.
These are the highlights of the dungeon
This is the most fun in the new dungeon: Like with all DLC dungeons from recent years, the developers have come up with a few special things here as well. In the following paragraphs, you’ll find out what I, Jürgen, found particularly positive in the dungeon.
The cool Khajiit architecture
This is what the dungeon looks like: The developers really put in effort when designing the massive Khajiit buildings in the ESO expansion. The dungeon of the Moongrave Temple City takes it a step further.
The entire site looks like a site abandoned for centuries by a religious cult that built a place far from civilization to serve higher powers. The whole structure resembles a mix of Indian and Thai architecture. However, one quickly notices that they are not on an Asian trip but in Tamriel.
Everywhere there are colossal statues of mystical Khajiit heroes, and all the symbolism is clearly aimed at the mystery cult of the two moons Jone and Jode, which are worshipped by the Khajiit in a cult that is hardly understandable for outsiders.
Furthermore, the entire site is designed so that throughout the traverse one can always look across the central square and recognize the entrance again and again. The level design is certainly impressive and significantly contributes to the atmosphere.
The enemy design
These are the enemies in the dungeon: As mentioned, vampires are the main opponents here. However, they are not the usual pale bloodsuckers you have fought against numerous times in the game. The vampires in the Temple City are all Khajiit. This also applies to the panthers that are sneaking around everywhere, which are also Khajiit subspecies.
In addition, there are unholy parts of the architecture that have been filled with dark rituals of bloodlust. This results in suddenly broken decorations of the temple facade jumping at us, wanting to drink our blood.
However, particularly impressive are the big brothers of the usual vampires. Like all Khajiit, there are also vampiric versions in different forms. The feared giant Khajiit of the Pahmar-Rath type are present as special elite enemies and as a special boss in the dungeon.
To appropriately stage the cat colossal beings, the developers mostly placed them in narrow corridors as patrols. When a three-meter-tall vampire cat person suddenly strolls around the corner, it certainly makes a significant impression on our dungeon team.
The box mechanics
This is what the boxes are about: Like in many new dungeons, there is a special new mechanic here that one uses repeatedly to make puzzles and boss fights more exciting.
In the Moongrave Temple City, these are boxes that you push in the opposite direction through attacks. This is first used to weigh down pressure plates and thus open doors.
This requires teamwork and offers plenty of potential for trolling. For example, if one of the developers always pushes the box somewhere else after I have painstakingly positioned it.
However, at the latest during a special boss fight, the box pushing must be done correctly. A nasty cat gargoyle confronts us on a field from which lava geysers are regularly summoned from cracks.
These must be closed in time with boxes, and if the team does not coordinate optimally here, it can go completely wrong.
The epic final battle
This is what awaits you at the end of the dungeon: As mentioned at the beginning, the goal in the Temple City is to stop the vampires before they can drain the captive dragon.
Unfortunately, we can no longer prevent that. In an epic scene, we first beat the head vampire, but then he jumps over to the dragon, which is buried under rubble.
Filled with dragon power, the vampire becomes a significantly stronger enemy that hits us hard. But the dragon has finally had enough of being a blood bank. Therefore, he randomly intervenes in the fight with his fire breath and supports us in the battle against the bloodsucker.
We can finally take down the vampire together with the excellently animated dragon and have a final conversation with the dragon monster before it succumbs to its injuries.
“It’s a shame that the dragon is dead,” I note. “It would have been cool if we had become friends.” To this, one of the developers replies, “No, that can’t happen. Dragons hate you. This one just hated the vampire even more and liked you a little less now.”
Jürgen’s conclusion: A successful addition to Elsweyr
I had fun in the Temple City. The dungeon is well-designed and exploring an abandoned old temple complex is simply enjoyable. Especially the final battle, where the dragon breathes massive fire streams into the fray, is one of the coolest boss fights I’ve had so far in ESO.
Additionally, the scenario fits well with the Elsweyr story. While there you deal directly with the dragons and their machinations, in this dungeon you see what side plots emerge with the return of the dragons and that the danger does not only come from the dragons themselves.
The sandbox MMORPG Life is Feudal MMO actually looked quite interesting, but so far success has eluded it. According to players, it is far too slow and targets a hardcore niche.
What is Life is Feudal? “Difficult and realistic, LiF: MMO portrays medieval life on a grand scale.” This is how the MMORPG is advertised on Steam. The sandbox is meant to present players with a significant challenge and is not supposed to be a walk in the park.
You create a hero and are thrown into a harsh world
It is your task to survive
Like in survival games, you gather resources to craft tools, weapons, and equipment
PvP is the central factor of the MMORPG. You can be attacked and even enslaved anywhere and anytime
Massive siege battles and guild wars occur
Hardcore is not always well received
Why is the game considered “hardcore”? The developers want players to face challenges. The high difficulty level is supposed to be the hallmark of Life is Feudal. It takes a very long time to build something up. You are constantly at risk from other players and wild NPC tribes, and it is possible to lose everything.
How is the MMORPG currently received? The reviews on Steam show 28 percent for the past 30 days, which is considered “mostly negative.”
According to Steamcharts, around 730 simultaneous players have played in the last 30 days. At peak times, it was 1,628.
What is the opinion on the game? As the reviews on Steam show, the MMORPG is not particularly well received by most.
There is a general consensus that this title only appeals to those who have a lot of time, a great deal of patience, and wish to play in large guilds.
You can achieve nothing alone in Life is Feudal. At least ten players are needed for a guild, and only in a large guild do you have the chance to gradually build something up. You also need to be very tolerant of frustration, as everything you have built up over months can be lost in a battle or raid.
Furthermore, the tutorial reveals hardly anything about the actual game, and there are many reports of bugs and lags.
All this currently appeals to only a small portion of the MMORPG community. It is clear that momentarily popular are more casual online role-playing games, in which you can achieve results faster.

Which games are currently doing it better? The hardcore approach of Life is Feudal currently targets only a niche of players. Most players simply want titles that are easier to play. These include:
As you can see, MMORPGs remain popular. Just those online role-playing games that do not pursue a heavy hardcore approach and can be played “easier” – and even in between – and promise faster achievements.
Life is Feudal MMO barely aligns with what MMORPG fans currently seem to want. And that is why the game remains unsuccessful at present. A similar fate has befallen the MMORPG Wildstar, which was considered a hardcore MMORPG.
Why is that so curious? It is an interesting situation as many players often call for more “hardcore” and “casual MMORPGs” are frequently criticized. Players demand great challenges and do not want to be hand-held.
However, when such a game appears, success does not follow, as can be seen with Wildstar and now with Life is Feudal. Is it just a loud minority that demands hardcore MMORPGs? The success of online role-playing games that are more “casual” seems to support this thesis.
Even the director of Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida, has recognized the problem. Therefore, the MMORPG also offers smaller, easily digestible bites of content for players who have less time. Overall, Yoshida sees the problem with MMORPGs being the “time,” as these games compete with other leisure activities of the players and become more problematic the more time-consuming an online game is.
Thus, the discrepancy between what some players demand (hardcore) and what actually succeeds (casual) becomes apparent.
Since Friday, the Open Beta for the MMORPG Black Desert Online has been running on the PS4. Players have now expressed their opinions on the implementation, and many of them are not satisfied.
However, criticism has also come from Americans regarding the beta. Some have experienced performance issues or even crashes.
How long will the beta run? Those who want to see Black Desert on PlayStation must hurry. It will run until August 13 at 11:00 AM.
As a reward for participating in the beta, you will receive a special pet and a 10% discount voucher for the full version.
FPS Issues and Region Lock
How is the performance on the PS4? During the beta test for Black Desert, there seem to have been some performance issues. Many users have complained about it on Reddit:
Shadowmnn02: BDO doesn’t even reach 30 FPS. It hurts my eyes to play this game.
HereComesTiny: The PS4 port is a disgrace, and Pearl Abyss should be ashamed. It’s poorly optimized, plays terribly, and looks bad as well.
GamePlayHeaven: The performance on the PS4 is awful, the worst I’ve seen on PlayStation.
Badprawn: The biggest issue I’ve noticed is that damage is not registered instantly. First, nothing happens, and 10 seconds later, the enemies die instantly.
What else is bothering the players? Besides performance, there is criticism as well. It seems that some cutscenes appeared without audio, and the user cjwatts111 is complaining that the controller controls are not optimally resolved.
Another point of criticism in the beta was the region lock, which prevented European players from playing with friends overseas. However, this restriction is expected to be removed in the release version.
What do players praise? The beta’s performance has received much criticism, especially due to the significant issues in Europe.
However, some players have spoken out who are very excited about the porting to PlayStation. Many find the MMORPG itself successful, but the implementation must also be right.
The user llShenll wants to give BDO another chance because of the PS4:
I played the PC version, but stopped after a few months because there were many cheaters and bots. I want to give Black Desert another chance with the PS4 version.
Can Pearl Abyss fix the issues in time? The release of Black Desert on the PS4 is scheduled for August 22. Until then, the developers have time to address the issues.
Some players, however, are also taking the situation calmly. Since Black Desert runs smoothly on Xbox One, they hope that Pearl Abyss will also optimize the PS4 version.
PS4 Version Lags Behind PC and Xbox
What can you experience on the PS4? The PlayStation version of Black Desert Online will start significantly behind the PC version, similar to the Xbox.
The first major difference lies already in the classes. On the PS4, you can only choose one of the six base classes. The PC already has the Shai as the 18th class.
The Xbox version also started in March of this year with the same six classes. However, you can now choose from twelve different classes.
When are the first expansions planned? Shortly after the release for Xbox One, there were plenty of updates. Similar hopes are held for the PlayStation.
At the Gamescom, there could be further information on this. A community manager apparently announced during the beta that a roadmap for Black Desert on PS4 would be presented there.
The aim should be to align the game versions of PS4 and Xbox One as quickly as possible.
The studio behind Black Desert recently announced a new MMORPG:
Due to your successes in research, you have unlocked the Raid Day with Suicune in Pokémon GO. We will show you all the info from counters to shiny that you need to know for the event.
When is the Suicune Day? On August 17, 2019, the Raid Day with Suicune will take place. That is the upcoming Saturday. The event will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM, giving you three hours to battle the beast in raids.
What to expect on Raid Day with Suicune
What bonuses are there? As seen in past Raid Day events, the corresponding Pokémon will be available in raids during the event time. So you will see plenty of raids with Suicune in many gyms.
To encourage you to actively participate in these raids, there are free raid passes available for you. You can obtain up to 5 free passes from gyms during the event time.
As a special highlight, Suicune will also be available in its shiny form. We will embed a comparison image here, showing the normal form and the shiny form of the Pokémon.
How to counter Suicune: About 3-5 players are needed for the battle against Suicune. Electric attackers are a good choice against Suicune. Bring the following attackers to perform well in the raids:
Raikou with Thunder Shock and Charge Beam
Zapdos with Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt
Magnezone with Spark and Charge Beam
Luxray with Spark and Charge Beam
Electivire with Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt
Roserade with Razor Leaf and Grass Knot
Why is there the event? During the GO Fest in Yokohama, players were encouraged to research a lot in Pokémon GO. Completing this task rewards you with stardust bonuses on catches, raids, and egg hatches. Also, star pieces last longer.
Since all teams completed the global challenge, the Raid Day with Suicune will begin soon. This will unlock all bonuses for Blanche’s global challenge.
This is how trainers react: The Raid Day with Suicune is being actively discussed on social media. On Twitter, player @FischMaster3001 states that Suicune is not worth any premium passes and he will only use the free raids.

On Reddit user UltraGasi writes: “Wow, 5 free raids and then I’m going home. Still a bad Pokémon.”
Another user replies that the shiny form of Suicune looks cool. He also mentions that there is 3,000 stardust per raid. “With a star piece, that’s 4,500 stardust. The star pieces also last for an hour. Although the Pokémon is useless, there are many incentives for this Raid Day.”
Do you like the reward or would you have preferred a different Pokémon as a reward?
At the annual World Cosplay Summit in Japan, 77 cosplayers competed against each other this year. The winners were monstrous outfits from Monster Hunter World.
What happened at the World Cosplay Summit? Since 2003, the World Cosplay Summit has existed as a friendly international competition around Japanese pop culture.
In 2019, 77 teams from a total of 40 countries competed against each other and demonstrated their sewing and crafting talents on the stages in Tokyo and Nagoya.
A total of 8 teams made it to the finals, and the cosplays from Monster Hunter World were crowned winners.
Which armor won? The first prize was awarded to the two cosplayers from Australia. Their glowing Monster Hunter armors overshadowed the competition.
On their social media accounts, the cosplayers Wirru and K Cosplay thanked for the many kind words and reiterated that creating such cosplays involves many months of hard work.
Which cosplays were also there? You can watch a video of all the cosplays here

The 100 mini-boss kills for the Solstice armor are currently driving many Guardians crazy in Destiny 2. However, player criticism has not gone unheard. Bungie is responding and is about to make the most annoying grind of the Solstice event more bearable.
Many Guardians are trying to upgrade their Solstice armor in this context. At some point, every player has to defeat 100 mini-bosses in the ELZ, a special event area on Earth. And it is exactly this step that has frustrated many players; many have expressed criticism on Reddit and other discussion platforms and demanded changes.
Now there is good news. Even though hardly anyone expected it – Bungie has actually announced changes that should make many players happy, especially those who still have this step ahead of them.
This is what Bungie wants to change: After the massive criticism, the developers have now reacted. As announced in the current “This Week at Bungie” blog, Bungie has acknowledged that they may have overdone it with the requirements at this step.
Therefore, these requirements will soon be lowered. Instead of 100, you will now only need to defeat 50 mini-bosses in the ELZ for your Majestic Event armor. Currently, it is still 100.
If you also defeat the final boss of an ELZ run, you will receive 5 additional points credited to your progress. If you have already earned points for this step, they will remain after the changes.
When will the changes go live? You won’t have to wait long. The hotfix 2.5.2.1 for Destiny 2 will be released next Tuesday, August 13th. This will also bring the nerf to the annoying grind into the game.
What exactly is the problem with this step? Many players criticize that the task is very time-consuming and involves enormous grinding – especially when you are playing without a fixed team. Only kills that you personally contribute to the mini-boss count towards progress.
In one run, a random group can manage about 7 mini-bosses, of which you can deal damage to 4 or 5. This amounts to nearly 20 matches, which can take hours. It is already annoying with one character. If you want to earn the event armor for all three Guardians, the frustration factor can increase even more.
This leads to many teammates leaving after the mini-boss phase to start a new run directly. Unfortunately, this is currently an efficient method to get the necessary kills – the final boss currently does not count towards progress. This has made the grind even harder.
As a result, it often happens that you join a running match or directly into the boss phase of a run without a team, as players are already missing there, which means you can only achieve a few or even no mini-boss kills.
This is how the Guardians are reacting: This announcement is very well received by many Guardians. In a popular Reddit thread, players are mass thanking Bungie for listening to feedback and alleviating this annoying step.
Players without fixed teams, with little time, or multiple characters are now hopeful that they can still grab the armor in time.
Some even couldn’t believe it. There are multiple questions on whether this announcement is actually real or confirmed.
However, there are also some fans who do not like the announcement at all. These are usually Guardians who have already completed the annoying grind, sometimes multiple times. They are now upset that their achievement is devalued or that they had to do more work than many other Guardians will have to do starting Tuesday.
What do you think about this step? Is it the right decision or a slap in the face for all those who have already completed it?By the way, until the change is active, the following method might help you with this step:
Starting August 13, the expeditions in The Division 2 will not be playable for the time being. They are expected to return at a later date. They were just introduced with Episode 1 of the shooter. We want to know what you think about this time limitation of the content.
What are the expeditions all about? Less than a month ago, the expeditions were introduced as the centerpiece of the “Episode 1” DLC in the game:
On July 23, Year 1 Pass holders received access to this new content. However, only the first wing opened on that day.
Since July 30, all owners of The Division 2 have been able to take part in this new activity. This is when the second wing went live.
The third wing has only been open since August 6.
These expeditions are a bit more extensive than the regular story missions in The Division 2.
The expeditions are a type of puzzle activity set in the grounds of Kenly College outside Washington D.C.. There, players must complete various tasks in three sections that went live at staggered times, in order to find friendly survivors and uncover the fate of a lost military convoy. Your exploration, puzzle, and combat skills will be put to the test.
This surprised many agents: What many agents did not know is that the expeditions are apparently subject to a cycle. This means that they will not be available to players continuously.
And as the developers at Massive recently communicated, the first cycle will end on Tuesday, August 13. They will not be available to you anymore for the time being.
When will the expeditions return exactly? This is not known, and there was no exact date provided. Massive only explained that the activity will return with the next cycle later this year. It doesn’t sound like players will be able to return to Kenly College in just two weeks.
You should note: If you still want the new weapon exotic Diamondback and haven’t obtained it yet, you should hurry. It is tied to the expeditions at Kenly College and will disappear for the time being on August 13.
If you haven’t gotten this exotic by August 13, you will have to wait until the return of the expeditions to earn it. If you already own the exotic rifle, it will move into the loot pool of bosses in heroic missions.
What does this mean for the players? If the expeditions are now gone, this essentially means that about half of the new content from Episode 1 disappears – and that after less than a month. Because fundamentally, the highlights of the first DLC for Year 1 are:
2 new story missions
the expeditions
2 new exotics: the BT data gloves and the Diamondback rifle
The expeditions and thus the weapon exotic constitute a significant part of the content. Those who already felt that the new content was rather sparse will soon have even less substance from the new DLC 1.
What if you were just lying on the beach?
What do the fans say? Many cannot understand this decision and feel annoyed or upset – especially players with little time.
Given the already sparse content, removing parts of the new content temporarily and making them available only for a limited time meets with little understanding or support. Agents are also going on holiday in August and do not play The Division 2 as often as in other months. They are annoyed that they missed the expeditions.
The communication on this matter has also left many agents bitter, as it was unclear to many until recently that the expeditions along with the corresponding content are only playable for a limited time.
While many do not see the point behind this decision, there are also a few players who believe that this would at least keep the expeditions special. They would need to tackle this activity more intensively during a certain time period if they want to obtain certain rewards. And finally, the expeditions to Kenly College will return, as the special loot is not gone for good.
What do you think of this design decision? In this context, we have prepared a survey and now want to know from you, our readers, what you think of this model.
Do you think it is better for the game in the long run if the expeditions are only limitedly available in cycles and at specific times? Does it make them more exciting? Or do you not understand this decision and think it is wrong? Let us know in the survey and in the comments.
Please note, you have only one answer option. Thank you for participating and your time.

Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins expresses in a video how disappointed he is with Twitch.TV. They unintentionally promoted porn on his Twitch channel after Ninja’s switch to Mixer.
TwitchTV utilized this visitor traffic and revamped Ninja’s channel. They displayed ads for “other popular streams” in the Fortnite category. These are shown with thumbnail on Ninja’s Twitch channel. This is how cleverly Twitch implemented it.
This is what Ninja is now angry about: Ninja released a video on August 11, stating that he is disgusted and apologizes. Because an ad for a stream displaying porn was shown on his Twitch channel.

With Remnant: From the Ashes an interesting coop shooter is coming soon, but somehow many seem to not have the game on their radar. It is surprisingly quiet around the title from Perfect World before its release on August 20 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
What is Remnant: From the Ashes? The dark “Seed” has invaded and devastated the Earth. Brave heroes are trying to find a way to stop the invaders. To do this, they travel to other dimensions to find a means to destroy the creatures.
What does the game remind us of? Looking at the trailers and screenshots and reading the description, it seems we can expect a game that could be somewhat in the direction of The Secret World. Additionally, parallels to Hellgate: London cannot be completely ruled out.
Why is the hype around the coop shooter so low? Actually, Remnant sounds pretty good. Fast shooter action in a post-apocalyptic scenario and teamwork seem to hit the mark. Moreover, the game is also coming for PS4 and Xbox One and at a time when everyone is waiting for new games.
And yet the game is hardly a topic in the multiplayer community. What could be the reasons for this?
Remnant is a new brand and does not belong to a well-known and established game series
So far, there has simply been too little shown from the game and too little talked about
Players seem a bit confused about whether it is a story-driven game or if grinding is at the forefront
The game will only be released digitally. Some interpret this as it being a “smaller” title and not a big AAA project
Some are simply skeptical about a new title and want to wait for reviews and opinions from other players
There are still too many questions left unanswered, such as regarding the controls and why there are only three players in a group
What do you think about Remnant: From the Ashes? Are you interested in the game? Did you even have it on your radar?
The developers of Dead by Daylight have announced that they will finally address one of the most annoying issues with the game. The grind is set to be reduced.
Since the rework of Freddy, there has been a lot going on in Dead by Daylight, but many of the community’s wishes have still not been heard. Players are still waiting for dedicated servers and, especially for newcomers, the game is a huge grind at the beginning just to get to the perks they want.
In a “Developer Update” post, the developers have now addressed that many of the issues will finally be tackled.
Those who want all perks need time and many, many blood points.
What is the problem with the grind? Anyone who wants a good selection of perks in Dead by Daylight has to farm extremely hard. Not only do they need to bring numerous characters close to the maximum level to unlock their teachable perks (so that other characters can learn them), but then a lot of farming still needs to be done.
Because each blood web (i.e., each level-up) contains a maximum of 2 perks to choose from, and only one of them can be selected. Those just starting with Dead by Daylight have to farm dozens of millions of blood points to have the desired perks on their favorite character. This corresponds to a playtime of several hundred hours, even for skilled players.
What is going to change? Although the developers haven’t mentioned any concrete measures yet, they have already stated their goal. More perks should be offered per blood web (currently a maximum of 2), so that players can unlock exactly the perks they want faster.
At the same time, the maximum number of blood webs needed to unlock all perks should also be drastically reduced. This will probably only be achievable if players can select more than one perk simultaneously per blood web.
When will these changes take place? However, the developers have not yet given a specific date. These changes are to happen “over the next few months.” But from the developers of Dead by Daylight, this is quite a vague statement, as between the announcement of a “soon” rework of Freddy and the actual implementation there were nearly 15 months. One can only hope that the improvements to the blood web won’t take that long to arrive.
How do you feel about the grind in Dead by Daylight? Is it too exhausting? Or is it just a part of the game and has it motivated you so far?
In late 2015, the first raids in Guild Wars 2 were released. However, currently, there is frustration among the hardcore fans. A ray of hope is the community-organized raid tournament, which may be held for the last time.
Why are players dissatisfied? The latest raids in Guild Wars 2 seem too rare to the fans. While the first raid wings were released every three to four months, there was only one new raid throughout 2018 and it was too easy for the players.
2019 doesn’t look any better either. The new raid was released in May, but within less than three hours, the first guilds had completed it. Already, many find it boring and burnt out.
The future of raids? Currently, it seems likely that no further raids will be released in 2019. The developers have repeatedly promised to release new raids faster, but they have yet to fulfill this promise.
What are players doing between new raids? In the months without a new raid, guilds usually try speedruns or low-man kills, where fewer than the possible 10 people are required.
Once a year, however, the Elitist Raiding Party takes place. This is a community event where the best raid guilds compete against each other.
What sort of event is this? On August 24 and 25, the third edition of the Elitist Raiding Party will take place. The organizer is streamer MightyTeapot, who will also shoutcast the tournament.
The six registered guilds must complete the raids under special conditions. Only nine instead of the ten possible players are allowed to be used.
All bosses will be played in challenge mode. Additionally, players forfeit the downstate. If a player is downed, they must immediately kill themselves and cannot be revived.
In the end, the guild that completes the raids the fastest under these conditions live on stream will win.

What can players win? The community in Guild Wars 2 actively supports the event. So, participants can look forward to:
More than 3,100 dollars in prize money
More than 30,000 gems (approximately another 350 dollars)
More than 150,000 gold in-game currency
Currently, further donations are still being collected, so the prize money could increase.
How successful is the Elitist Raiding Party? Currently, the community event is the biggest attraction in the Guild Wars 2 area on Twitch.
The last edition reached an average of nearly 5,000 viewers. Since the major PvP tournaments in 2014 and 2015, aside from the announcement of Path of Fire and an event from the Yogscast, no one has reached such numbers on Twitch.
Could this be the last edition of the tournament? The third edition of the raid tournament could also be the last. The organizer is currently so frustrated with Guild Wars 2 that he wants to focus on WoW Classic in the near future.
Whether another streamer will continue the project is uncertain. For the raid community, which is already complaining about a lack of new talent, this would be another setback.
How is Guild Wars 2 doing financially? The new quarterly report reveals:
Bugha, the world champion in Fortnite: Battle Royale has not only fans. Someone who wished him harm performed swatting against him and sent an armed task force that interrupted him live on stream. Fortunately, the situation ended well.
However, the 16-year-old boy does not only have fans. Malicious individuals sent an armed police task force against him in a case of so-called swatting.
The police officers surprised Bugha during a live stream on Twitch. Bugha’s father came in the middle of the game and said that armed police officers were at the door. Shortly after, Bugha suddenly disappeared and his avatar in the game burst into flames in the storm. His teammates were accordingly confused: “Did he just leave in the middle of the game?”
How did the swatting end? Bugha was gone for about 10 minutes to clarify the situation. Fortunately for him, the clarification was quite quick, as one of the officers present lives in Bugha’s neighborhood and recognized the boy.
It was therefore quickly clear that no violent crime was taking place in Bugha’s house and that it was a bad joke.

This is how Bugha reacted: After the incident, Bugha came back online and his two teammates Bizzle and Dubs, who had actually won the match without him, wanted to know what had happened: “I was swatted,” Bugha said, still visibly shaken. “They just come in with weapons. They actually showed up, holy shit!”

Why swatting is a big problem: Fortunately, the situation with Bugha ended well. However, swatting is a serious problem. The responding forces do not know that it is a cruel fake. They assume that violent crimes or hostage situations are imminent. They show up armed and are consequently tense. They expect that their own lives are in danger when they arrive at the supposed crime scene.
There has already been a case where an innocent person was shot by the police because they believed he was an armed criminal. But even without such drastic consequences, swatting is a problem.
Because a task force responding to such a fake call may be missing when a real crime is taking place nearby, and the officers may not be available at a critical moment because they are pulling a harmless Twitch streamer off the screen.
Moreover, not everyone affected reacts as calmly as Bugha. For many who have been swatted, it was a traumatic experience where they had to worry about their safety and that of their loved ones.
