A major stir during the beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the absence of the minimap. After much criticism, Infinity Ward is now responding and bringing a modified version of the map.
This is the criticism: This weekend, some PS4 players can test the latest shooter from Call of Duty in a beta. There is a lot of positive feedback about it, but one topic is heating up the discussion.
There is no minimap, even though this feature has been implemented in various CoD titles for years. It was surprisingly removed in Modern Warfare.

When will the minimap come? Today, on September 14, a patch is coming that will bring the minimap into the beta.
This is what the map is supposed to show: The minimap works differently than previous maps. It will not display enemy fire. It is merely a help for you when searching for your teammates.
The map therefore differs significantly from the previous minimaps in the CoD games. It will be a different experience, even though you can still use a map.
How is this proposal received? After a lot of criticism regarding the map at the beginning of the beta, the situation seems to have calmed down a bit. Players are showing themselves to be conciliatory with this proposal.
It is said on Twitter: “Minimap without enemy fire sounds like a fair deal to me, as you can recognize the position of your team.”

There is news about the top Pokémon of generation 5 in Pokémon GO. All attacks are now known, so one can be sure which Pokémon will change the meta.
What did Niantic add? Niantic has taken one of the last steps before the release of new Pokémon. They have added the attacks and additional data for the Pokémon.
The attacks are always crucial, as they ultimately determine whether a Pokémon is useful or not. It doesn’t matter if a Pokémon has great stats if the attacks are poor in the end.
Thanks to this addition, we now know which of the new Pokémon are actually top attackers. It is certain that many changes will occur among attackers due to this generation.
The big winners of generation 5
Meistagrif: Since the first generations, one Pokémon has been unreachable: Machomei. It has always been the best fighting Pokémon, but with Gen 5, it gets its replacement.
Meistagrif learns Counter and Dynamic Punch, making it the best fighting attacks possible. Meistagrif has better stats than Machomei, which is why a new top attacker of the fighting type is emerging.
Ramoth: The Bug and Fire type Pokémon gets really strong attacks in both types. It is the first Bug Pokémon that is actually useful, as Scyther and Pinsir do not have great stats.
This way, Ramoth learns both Bug Bite and Bug Buzz, as well as Flame Burst and Overheat. These are the optimal movesets for both types. Thus, Ramoth is the best Bug Pokémon and ranks highly among Fire Pokémon.
Black Kyurem: This legendary Pokémon casts almost everything in the shadow. It will be the best Dragon Pokémon in the game, as it learns the attacks Dragon Breath and Roar of Time.
Moreover, Kyurem has an attack value of 310, making it the best all-rounder in the game.
Zekrom: Here we have the big winner among Electric Pokémon. The legendary beast learns Charge Beam and Thunderbolt, outshining all other Electric Pokémon.

Farming and mining Eridium
This is how you specifically farm Eridium: In the later stages of the game, you can mine the large, purple crystals scattered across the planet. However, you will need a certain tool for that.

When can I start mining Eridium crystals? As soon as you have opened the first vault during the main campaign. This happens in Chapter 10. The game has a total of 23 chapters.
You must defeat the boss guarding this vault. This will give you a new melee weapon with which you can break the purple crystals. From the crystals, you will then receive Eridium.
Using Eridium – What you need it for
What do I need Eridium for? With this currency, you can buy cool skins as well as special items. The Eridium dealer can be found at your home base, Sanctuary.
At “Crazy Earl”, you can buy black market cosmetics or get special gear at the “Veterans’ Goods”.

Guild Wars 2 is planning many free releases in the coming months instead of a major expansion. In an interview with PCGamesN, Game Director Mike Zadorojny revealed how the teams are structured and what they are currently working on.
What has changed with the teams? For the upcoming Living World Season 5, ArenaNet has created 4 different teams focused on new content.
What are the four teams currently working on? The focus of the content teams is on the upcoming Icebrood Saga. Accordingly, the first three teams are working on the following content:

The fourth team, however, is working on content that Mike does not want to reveal yet.

These tricks are worth it: With our tips, we show you how to easily get gold without much effort. Most of these tips are especially worth it from level 30 to 40, allowing you to easily scrape together the gold for your first mount without much work.
The tips mainly focus on requiring little effort from you and using your Rogue class abilities. You will utilize the advantages of the Rogue class.
These are not the absolute most effective farming methods, which are often more exhausting. If you’re not a Rogue or want to make gold in other ways, you will find 5 tips for farming gold in our guide.
Trick 1: Lockpicking for pocket money
This is how the trick works: As Rogues, you have the exclusive class ability to open the locks of chests and lockboxes. Only blacksmiths can do that with lockpicks, which come with some material costs.
The trick aims at you opening other players’ lockboxes, as they usually don’t have the means to open them themselves. Just stand in front of the auction house in Ironforge or Orgrimmar and offer your services in the general or trade chat.
This bridge in Ironforge is a popular meeting point.
Your advantage: You can ask for a small fee. Most lockboxes contain very valuable items, with which players can still make a profit. It’s best to charge between 5 silver and 1 gold.
How much you can charge depends on the server, your level, and the competition. If you’re the only Rogue, your services are more expensive. If the lockbox is harder to open, its content is more valuable. If the contents can be sold for a high price, players are more willing to pay more.
When is the trick worth it? We recommend starting this trick around level 35. At that point, your maximum lockpicking skill is 175, and you can open steel lockboxes already.
With a skill of 225 (level 45), you can open all currently available lockboxes. From here on out, you can offer your services to any player.
This is how you increase your skill: Lockpicking needs practice. With each level, the maximum skill increases by 5 but must still be trained just like weapon skills or professions. As Rogues, you have several areas available for training:
Redridge Mountains: Alther’s Mill and Lake Everstill (up to about 150)
Westfall: Merchant Coast (up to about 120)
Ashenvale: Zoram Strand (up to about 150)
Stonetalon Mountains: Windshear Cliffs (up to about 50)
Desolace: Sar’theris Strand (up to about 250)
There are more areas where practice boxes are distributed. However, those listed here are quite easy to reach and should be sufficient to get you to 225.
Trick 2: Looting enemies
This is how the trick works: Another exclusive ability of Rogues is pickpocketing. You learn this fairly early, allowing you to loot the pockets of enemies while sneaking around them.
With this ability, you can easily collect copper and silver, items for sale, materials to craft poisons, and loot boxes that you can open for yourself.
Loating individual enemies is not particularly lucrative. However, if you go to an area with many humanoid enemies, you can collect a lot of silver or even gold within minutes.
When is the trick worth it? We recommend a minimum of level 30, preferably level 35-38 for this trick. The higher your level, the harder you are to detect. Enemies from level 30 and up carry significantly more money than those below.
Additionally, the looted enemies have a chance to resist your pickpocketing. If that happens, you will be immediately revealed and usually drawn into combat, which can easily lead to your death without explosive powder and “Vanishing”.
Here pickpocketing is worth it: A particularly lucrative location before level 40 is the Scarlet Monastery, especially the library and armory. The entire complex contains almost exclusively human enemies that you can loot.
The armory is a paradise for pickpockets.
The advantage in the mentioned instances is that the density of enemies is extremely high, allowing you to loot many pockets in a small area. Moreover, the instances are long enough that you can return to the start after emptying the last pocket and start over without having to reset the instance. The bags will have typically refilled in that time.
This is how the trick works: The last trick revolves around your abilities to sneak and your combat skills. Both can be combined to quickly and easily access certain loot chests in dungeons.
You usually only reach these with a group when you are currently running the respective dungeon. And then you have four other players contesting the loot with you.
Easy loot.
As a Rogue, you can simply sneak through the instance and to the next chest, which in many cases is only guarded by smaller groups or single enemies. Use your “Cooldowns” like Escape, Riposte, and Blind to take out the enemies and loot.
Theoretically, Druids could also use this trick. However, many chests are locked and require the skill to pick locks. Additionally, as a Rogue, you have the ability to “Vanishing,” which allows you to survive even when the fight doesn’t go well.
When is the trick worth it? Again, we recommend a minimum of level 35, preferably level 38 or higher, as from there you can fight without major issues, and with reasonably good equipment, two or three elite enemies.
If you know of instances where chests are located in easily cleared areas, lower levels can work as well.
Here a “break-in” is worth it: Even as a burglar, the Scarlet Monastery is your best bet, at least for lower levels. Especially in the graveyard, you will almost always find a chest in a spot guarded by either an elite enemy or a group of weaker enemies.
Here is usually a chest found, protected by only a single enemy. Otherwise, look exactly opposite in the area. If there’s no chest at either place, it is usually located in the crypt of Bloodmage Thalnos.
A second chest is located a bit earlier in the catacombs by Interrogator Vishas. However, there is also a group of four Scarlet Crusaders here, which are difficult to eliminate alone.
The chests contain useful items and equipment that can often be sold for almost one gold piece. Additionally, you have a chance in the graveyard to find rare enemies standing alone that will drop expensive loot.
Once you have looted the chests, you need to leave the instance and “reset all instances.” From that point on, you can simply repeat the trick.
As effective as these methods may be, they fit perfectly into the class fantasy of Rogues. Perhaps this is exactly what makes WoW Classic such a great fantasy world:

In Destiny 2, the Guardians are on the trail of a creepy secret. In the new emblem, which one has to wait for at the moment, there is likely a message.
Which emblem are we talking about? At the beginning of September 2019, the community challenge on Mars ran for a few days. During this event, you were able to complete some tasks together as Guardians – which was not a problem for you – and earn exclusive rewards in Destiny 2.

Where is the emblem? There is currently a small problem with this emblem – so far, no one has it in their possession. Guardians are currently waiting to see when and in what form they will receive it.

And what secret does the emblem hold?
This has been discovered: In the raidsecrets subreddit, where many Destiny secrets have been revealed in the past, the community event emblem was closely examined. Because if you look closely, you can see a pattern of fine lines on it.
Some Guardians suggested that these resemble a spectrogram – that is, a visual representation of the frequency spectrum of a signal. A clever Guardian then ran the pattern on the emblem through a program and actually discovered something. It generates an audio file in which a whisper can be heard.
And the whisper says: “I am in Trouble.”

On reddit, not all Guardians agree whether one actually hears “I am in Trouble” and whether this is really a secret or just some random noises.

This leads many Guardians to conclude: “His presence means that this is of significance!” Because this exaggerated feigned ignorance is a clear indication that the community is onto something.
And other Guardians just write “Creepy!” on this topic.
What is the whisper about?
Who is whispering? We do not know. Who is in trouble here and why this message is hidden on an emblem is purely speculative.

Borderlands 3 is a co-op shooter that you can play together. But how does the co-op actually work?
How many players can play co-op? You can play with a total of 4 players. That’s as many co-op players as there are characters.
If you’re playing Borderlands 3 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you can even grab a second player within reach and pull them to the screen. Borderlands 3 actually offers a split-screen mode.
Is there split-screen for PC? No. You can only play on consoles with split screen.
Can I change the split screen to vertical? No, that is not possible.
The screen is automatically divided horizontally and each player can do whatever they want on their half of the screen – just like you would expect from split-screen titles.

How do I start the split-screen mode? Starting the split screen is easy.
Select “Play” in the menu.
Then select “Add Split-Screen”.
Then you have to confirm the “Split-Screen Join” with Player 2’s controller.
And it can start!
Do I have to buy the game twice for split-screen? No. It is enough if one of you owns Borderlands 3. The second split-screen player can then simply create a character via your game.
Progress in Co-op
How do we level up together in co-op? Everyone receives the same experience points. Just like in single-player, you can only use equipment that corresponds to your level.
The two co-op modes in Borderlands 3
You have the option to choose between two different modes, which also affect your progress.
COOPERATION: The enemies scale to your own level via a level sync and the loot is also individually for you.
With this mode, it is not a problem if your characters have a large level difference. Even vault hunters with a level difference of 20 or more can play together and see an appropriate threat in every enemy. Your progress is according to your levels.
If you don’t want that, you can choose the classic co-op mode of Borderlands 3.
COOPETITION: Level of enemies, loot and experience points are adjusted to the group leader. Loot is the same for everyone, and you can steal it from each other.

What are these values? The reddit user sdarwkcaB-ssA took the effort to look at which hero in Overwatch is actually more difficult to kill. To calculate that, he considered several factors such as:

The data for the hitboxes was taken from user Blue2180, who compiled the hit zones of all available heroes.
This is how the values are calculated: With all these values, sdarwkcaB-ssA calculated how long a hero would withstand fire. To do this, he determined two values: hit points per hitbox and hit points per critical hit zone.

Tanks like Reinhardt and Roadhog have almost 5 times larger hit zones, while D.Va has even over 6 times larger. This is the reason why they are easier to take down according to the table.
How accurate are the values? Several factors make the calculation somewhat imprecise. On the one hand, the values for the hitboxes are not absolutely correct. Blue2180 calculated them from connected points and then matched them against Ana’s hitbox, which can contain natural rounding errors.
On the other hand, abilities, movement, and shields are not taken into account. The table shows values for heroes who are not moving and not defending. Since this is not realistic, they serve more as guidelines rather than for precise determinations.

Mask from Wyvern Wear with +224 skill power, +14% skill haste, and the talent “Empowered,” which grants +10% skill power. The item can be found at the level-30 clan vendor. The stats are average, but it’s suitable for a good entry for a skill build. Skill builds are currently quite popular.

In Borderlands 3 there are several things to consider for players who are new to the franchise, but also for veterans – some things have changed. Our author Leya has compiled 15 tips and tricks for the loot shooter as a quick beginner’s guide for you.
Although the loot shooter has just launched, I was able to thoroughly explore the crazy sci-fi western for the MeinMMO test of Borderlands 3.
Who are these tips for? For everyone who is just starting out in Borderlands 3. Here you will find some useful beginner tips and information that can easily be forgotten or are sometimes not clearly explained during gameplay.

1. Decide wisely how you want to play co-op
Right at the start of the game, you need to decide what conditions you want for group play.
You have the choice between two modes:
COOPERATION – Loot found is only for you and unique. No one can take loot from you. There is level sync and you can play with different levels. The enemies are adjusted to your level.
COOPETITION – These are the classic Borderlands rules, where you all get the same loot in the group. That means you have to agree in advance on who gets what or steal at all costs! There is no level sync here. This means the enemies are at the level of the group leader.
Can I change the co-op mode? The co-op settings can be adjusted at any time in the start screen. On the right in the group menu next to your character are the options. (Thanks to our reader BigFlash88 for this tip.)
You can only choose how you want to play co-op at the beginning of the game.
2. Keep a few weak enemies alive
Why not just kill everything right away? In Borderlands, you don’t die immediately when your health hits zero. You go down and can fight for survival.
If you manage to kill an enemy within a certain time window, you get a second chance and can continue fighting. In the chaos of battle, it can sometimes be difficult to remember to leave a few weak enemies alive – but do try it. It might just save your ass.
Boss enemies like Mouthpiece are not suitable for survival fights.
3. Use the Lost Loot Machine
What is this machine? It’s a machine from which you can retrieve high-quality loot that you may have overlooked during a mission. Just check here after each mission to see if you left behind a cool legendary weapon – the Lost Loot Machine will spit it out!
I would have missed a lot of loot without this handy machine.
Where is the machine located? Once you reach a certain point in the story, you gain access to your home base “Sanctuary”. On the map, all important points of Sanctuary will be displayed when you are in the base.
Get familiar with the Sanctuary map in general.
What else should be noted about the machine? The machine has limited space for loot. Therefore, you should regularly empty it. You can give the Lost Loot Machine an SDU upgrade.
4. Weapons with damage against shields are worth it
Why are shield-damaging weapons good? Many enemies have a shield that you must penetrate first before you can attack their health. Shields are represented by a blue bar.
If you use weapons that deal extra damage to shields, these can even be lower level than the enemies and still be effective. Once you take down the shield, you can switch to another weapon.
In the menu, it is possible to mark your weapons and other items as junk or favorites.
The advantages are: If you mark them as junk, you can sell them to vendors at the same time. If you mark them as a favorite, you won’t accidentally sell them to the vendor and can keep them safely in your inventory.

6. You can fast travel from anywhere
What is taken for granted in other games is actually a novelty in Borderlands 3 – there is fast travel from anywhere! Previously, this was only possible at certain stations in the game.
How to use fast travel: There are individual stations that will be displayed on your map. When you hover over them with the cursor, it will display whether you can use fast travel there.
Especially practical: What I ignored for a long time is fast traveling directly into the vehicle. You can target the car’s white symbol on the map and travel DIRECTLY INTO your vehicle and then drive away from there.
I eventually left my vehicle parked in clever places that I wanted to return to. You get the vehicles as usual from the “Catch-A-Ride” station, which you are automatically guided to relatively early in the main quest.
Your vehicle will be displayed on the map. With fast travel, you can get back in your vehicle from anywhere.
7. There is a practical build planner
Here you can plan your build: On the official Borderlands website, you will find a super practical way to plan your skill trees for the classes – the linked article takes you to the planner.
You can fill in the build for each of the four characters here and experiment with it before you finally allocate your points.
If you are dissatisfied with your build in practice or simply want something different, there is a simple solution.
How to reset points in the skill tree: There is a machine in your base, the Quick Change Station, where you can edit your character. This station is mainly for cosmetic purposes. Here’s what the station looks like:

However, you also have the option to redistribute your skill points. You don’t have to start a new character every time you want to try a new build.
The redistribution of points does cost a few dollars, but it won’t hurt.
By the way, if you do want to start a new character, there is unfortunately no way to skip the intro.
At the bottom of the Quick Change Station you can redistribute your skill points.
9. The side quests are better than ever – Do them
Why are side missions worth it? If you strictly follow the main mission, you’ll miss out on some of the coolest quests. The side missions in Borderlands 3 are much more extensive than they used to be. There is more love in the details of the quests, and they can even take longer than the main quests.
I don’t want to reveal too much about the content here…
What the dinosaur is about, you will only find out through a side quest.
Another advantage of side quests: Completing side missions gives you extra loot and more experience points, of course. Even if you just want to play the main story, pick up a few side quests here and there. This way, the main quest won’t feel too tedious due to chronic “under-leveling”.
10. Increase your maximum ammo
Where can ammo get an upgrade? At the weapon dealer you trust – Marcus. In your home base, Sanctuary, you will find “Marcus’ SDU Counter”. Here you can increase the capacity of your ammo, as well as your backpack, grenades, and player bank, for money.
It is actually obvious that you should do this. It only brings advantages. Nevertheless, one tends to forget these strong upgrades as well.
In Borderlands 3, the upgrades cost dollars and no Eridium anymore, as in previous games.
Here you can choose a weapon type and increase the capacity of your ammo.
11. Tip Mad Moxxi!
Who is Mad Moxxi? This lady is a staple in the Borderlands series and is the head of the saloon in your home base. She has driven many a man (and probably also woman) insane.
Why should you tip her? On her counter, you’ll find a jar with a sign “Insert your Tip” – Here, you can give the lady either 100 dollars or 1,000 dollars.
At least in Borderlands 2, there is an Easter egg where you get a vibrator as a gift from Mad Moxxi. She gives you a weapon that makes your controller vibrate.
You just have to throw a bunch of money into the jar, and eventually, she’ll give you a special weapon that has a sexual innuendo. You’ll find the weapon in your mailbox afterward.
This lady deserves a tip; without her bar, Sanctuary wouldn’t be the same.
12. Choose the right elemental damage in combat
What does elemental damage mean for Borderlands? Enemies and weapons are assigned to different elements. Some elements “win” against others in the “rock-paper-scissors” principle. You should know which element you need to use with your weapons to be effective against a specific enemy.
These elements exist:
Fire
Shock
Corrosion
Cryo
Radiation
Weapons can deal a certain elemental damage – learn which damage is good against which enemies.
Here’s how the elements work:
Fire is effective against flesh – enemies have a red health bar
Shock is effective against shields – enemies have a blue health bar
Corrosion is effective against armor – enemies have a yellow health bar
Cryo and Radiation work differently: These two elements are not specifically effective against a certain enemy type.
Cryo can slow enemies down and gradually freeze them. You can keep enemies at bay this way.
Radiation creates a toxic cloud once the enemies reach the “radiated” status. The cloud also affects surrounding enemies. When a radiated enemy dies, it triggers an explosion that can radiate other surrounding enemies again. Radiation is good against crowds.
There are also weapons that can switch between elements and different fire modes.
13. Use different weapon types
Why is this important? Borderlands 3 sometimes makes your life difficult by running out of ammunition and you can’t get new ones quickly. It’s advantageous to have different weapon types with various ammo on hand, so you’re not left empty-handed. The same applies to elements, so best to have various elemental weapons too.
Even though I particularly like snipers, I always have different weapons in Borderlands to avoid ammo issues.
14. Farming Eridium: Here’s how
Eridiumis an important currency in Borderlands 3, with which you can purchase cosmetics and especially good gear.
How to get Eridium in the early game:

What is the problem here? On PC, Borderlands 3 is still struggling with technical difficulties. The cutscenes cause problems on ultrawide monitors as the DX12 path does not work correctly. So reports pcgameshardware.
This causes long loading times, frame drops, or even crashes in the game. Therefore, this interface is not recommended. Nevertheless, this path is offered, and users who activate the API encounter problems.

What is this dance requirement? The Update 10.30 brought Greasy Grove back, but with a twist. Greasy Grove is no longer home to the Durr-Burger, but to Guaco.
When entering the city, a message appears: “Welcome to Greasy Grove! It’s Taco Time!” About every minute, an event starts where it rains tacos. All players in the zone must then dance and cannot resist. During the dance requirement, no one can shoot or build.

Spiderant: I also had good solo experiences with the Spiderant, as it constantly regenerates your health. That’s very handy when you’re having trouble surviving against certain enemies.
Another advantage of the Skag: When you interact with it, it jumps like a happy puppy – very cute!
This is how I play FL4K solo
With the Beastmaster, I like to stay behind the shooting line and send my pets ahead. If an enemy annoys me particularly, I immediately unleash my loyal companion on it!
As you can see from the build I presented above, I focus completely on survival. Since I played the main campaign for the MeinMMO review of Borderlands 3 particularly quickly, I was sometimes “under-leveled” – but I had good counterplay against the enemies. So if you mainly want to play the campaign, you will do quite well with this.
Quickly, the sniper became my favorite weapon class for this build since it allows me to stay particularly well behind the shooting line. However, there are also some crit damage improvements in FL4K’s talents that would make a sniper even more effective than I am using the build.
If you still wish to pursue FL4K after the campaign, we will now present you with another build.
FL4K Crit Build for Endgame
What is this FL4K build suitable for? This build is primarily designed for Mayhem 3. With it, maximum damage in a short time is possible. Exactly what you need against bosses in the endgame of Borderlands 3.
The skill trees for the build
With these talent trees, FL4K deals substantial damage: The build presented here focuses on the action skill “Fade Away” and your critical hit damage (crit). To skill it, you need talents from all trees:

Of course, you need an action skill for this build as well. You should choose “Fade Away” and add two action skill upgrades, which we will discuss later.
What does “Fade Away” offer you?
You become invisible
You fire 3 shots simultaneously
Your shots are automatically critical hits
Your movement speed and health regeneration are increased
Action Skill Fade Away
These action skill upgrades you should use: As the first upgrade for your action skill, you should choose “Guerillas in the Mist”. This keeps your invisibility even after attacking. This skill gives you 25% more critical hit damage for 6 seconds.
Additionally, you should equip “Cold Stare.” With this action skill upgrade, you further increase FL4K’s critical damage when attacking the same target.

This is the best pet for this build: Since the build is focused on maximizing critical damage, the Weaponized Jabber is the best choice. With this cute little creature, you get a boost to your critical hit damage.
What makes the FL4K Crit Build special
This is how talents and action skills work together: With this skill distribution, you focus on maximum damage during your action skill. In invisibility, you deal 30% more damage from the start. This comes from the talent “Hidden Machine”. Your enemy has almost no target if they cannot see you – clever, right?
Additionally, each shot is a critical hit when “Fade Away” is active. With your talents, you can have a high critical hit damage bonus equipped. This way, you can literally watch the enemies’ health bar shrink during Fade Away.
These weapons give you an additional advantage: If you equip weapons from the brand Jakobs, you can take down bosses even faster. This brand is one of a total of 9 weapon manufacturers in Borderlands 3. It has the peculiarity of refilling your magazine on critical hits. Additionally, Jakobs weapons have a chance to ricochet.

Are there more rewards to grab? For more rewards, you can also spin the Wummenator once per VIP season. There you can get random weapons for Borderlands 3 and earlier titles.
Additionally, there is a Borderlands 3 bonus for which you need to collect at least 8 VIP weapons. If you accomplish that, you will receive a special legendary Maliwan weapon for Borderlands 3.
