In Pokémon GO the Halloween event is in full swing, but some players are disturbed by certain spawns. There are simply too few spirits from Generation 5 appearing.
Here is the current situation: The Halloween event brings numerous spirits back to Pokémon GO. Among them, Makabaja, a new Pokémon from Generation 5, is now appearing in the wild.
For some players, the spawns of Makabaja, but also of some other Pokémon, are simply too low. But are they right about this?
Too few spirits from Generation 5 – Is that true?
Why is this a problem? Especially the spawns of Makabaja are poor for many players. After all, it is a completely new Pokémon and fits perfectly with the Halloween event. It’s not understood why it is still rarer than other ghost-type Pokémon.
Moreover, it can also be Shiny, and hunting for the Shiny is difficult when it is simply so rare.
The hunt for Shiny Makabaja is difficult
The only other ghost-type Pokémon from Generation 5 that appears in the event is Lichtel (Golbit is only found in the quest and not in the wild in greater numbers). Here too, the spawns are not really good. Some trainers, however, have understanding here, because the evolution Skelabra is a good Pokémon and thus differs significantly from Makabaja.
MarsNeedsFreedomToo: “For a newly released event Pokémon, the spawn rate seems low, about as rare as Lichtel during the event. Will the Shiny rate for Makabaja at least be increased to justify the low spawn rate?”
kyloles: “Niantic says: It’s a new Pokémon, so it must be rare.”
the_kevlar_kid: “I went hunting for 3 hours straight yesterday and […] I caught a Lichtel and 0 Makabaja. I’ve been waiting all year for the Halloween event and I’m already disappointed this year. They gave all the right bonuses, but somehow the fun has been taken out of this week.”
There is also criticism here: Which Pokémon are also missed are the costumed starters. Except for Pikachu, you can only find these Pokémon in raids. However, the 1-star raids of them are quite rare, so you have to look closely for such raids.
Is this criticism justified? You have to take a look at the Halloween event 2018. There, Pokémon like Driftlon or Skunkapuh were introduced. Especially Driftlon was much more common than Makabaja is now. Those who played a lot had good chances for a Shiny.
Of course, it must also be seen that the other ghosts are significantly more frequent. So there are no bad spawns going on. Only the Pokémon from Generation 5 are a bit fewer.
What do you think? Do you find the Halloween spawns good or are there too few Gen-5 ghosts for you?
Since its release in August 2012, Guild Wars 2 has seen many developments. Our colleagues from Gamestar have taken a closer look at the MMORPG and its evolution.
What can you learn from the video? In just under 16 minutes, you’ll learn everything important about Guild Wars 2 and its development over the past years. It starts by discussing the general content of the MMORPG, covering classes, races, and the content at launch.
Subsequently, everything revolves around the expansions of the game. The various seasons of the Living World, as well as the expansions, are highlighted:
The first season of the Living World was only playable for two weeks before the content was removed. This made the game feel alive, but returning players and newcomers missed out on the content.
With Living World Season 2, permanent content and the first new areas were introduced to the game in 2014.
The expansion Heart of Thorns brought the first raids to the game in 2015, leading the community in Guild Wars 2 to more coordination and group play.
The second expansion Path of Fire introduced mounts in 2017.
At the end of the video, the question of where Guild Wars 2 stands today and whether it is worth taking a look at the MMORPG is addressed.

What does GW2 offer to newcomers? Currently, Guild Wars 2 offers you for PvE:
9 different classes
5 playable races
58 story chapters, each with at least 3 missions
8 completely different mounts
7 raids
20 different fractals with 100 difficulty levels
8 dungeons with 4 to 5 paths each
and a huge number of areas in the open world
Additionally, there is Arena PvP with regular seasons and automated 5v5 tournaments, as well as World vs World, where battles take place for towers and fortresses on a large map.
Anyone starting in the MMORPG now has a lot of content to complete in the open world and in instances. Guild Wars 2 is also Buy2Play and only one expansion is needed to access nearly all content of the game.
Where does GW2 struggle? While newcomers can look forward to a huge amount of content, veterans of the game are currently dissatisfied. There are several reasons for this:
The competitive content like PvP or World vs World is currently lacking.
Although regular updates are released for PvE, they are not as substantial as hoped. Moreover, raid instances are released only every 9 months. Hardcore players are not currently being catered to.
In February, there was a wave of layoffs that left some players uncertain about the future.
However, there are also positive signs from the developers toward the community. For instance, Guild Wars 2 wants to bring something exciting for players every month, including events and festivals. The new story episodes are also expected to arrive faster than before.
What is currently happening in Guild Wars 2? In September, the latest story episode “Bound by Blood” was released, which introduces the new season of the Living World. A larger balance patch was also released in early October.
Many players suspect the release of the next story chapter in November, followed by the return of the Wintersday event in December.
Guild Wars 2 – The perfect second MMO
Why is GW2 the perfect second MMO? Guild Wars 2 has no monthly fees. Once purchased, you can revisit anytime. There is also no item treadmill, so old gear never goes out of style, saving you unnecessary grind.
Additionally, it is worth logging in regularly. Every 2 to 3 months, a new story episode is released. If you log in before the next chapter’s release, you unlock it for free and can play it anytime.
So, if you’re looking for something to do during a content drought in your own game, you should give GW2 a chance. Alternatively, Guild Wars 2 can of course also be played as a main MMO.

The developer studio Daybreak has talked about Planetside 3 in a blog post. The online shooter is supposed to be bigger than part 2. The developer studio has just recently laid off a number of employees.
What has Daybreak announced? It was not explicitly stated that work is already being done on Planetside 3. The team only explained that they have a vision for the game. So there are plans to develop Planetside 3, but Daybreak does not say whether the online shooter is really already in the works. However, there have been rumors before that the online shooter is coming.
A gigantic project
What kind of game is Planetside 3 supposed to be? Daybreak’s vision is to develop an even bigger game than Planetside 2. The developers would like to try new things. Planetside 3 is supposed to detach from the planet Auraxis and carry the war into a vast galaxy. Empires will then clash.
You are supposed to colonize planets and fight over these colonies. Whether this includes space battles is still unclear. However, exploring the galaxy also plays a role.
Why does this sound so ambitious? The idea of Planetside 3 sounds very interesting. But Daybreak is apparently currently in crisis. Recently, employees had to be laid off again and it raises the question of how such a gigantic project is supposed to be implemented when the studio has fewer and fewer employees.
Why not just expand Planetside 2? Daybreak explains that the visions of Planetside 2 and 3 differ significantly. Part 2 has a well-functioning concept that the fans like. Changing this so significantly to align with the new vision would completely overhaul the game. However, fundamentally, no one wants that.
An interesting situation
How does Planetside Arena play into this? Daybreak believes that the battle royale shooter Planetside Arena is a kind of stepping stone for Planetside 3. The game is supposed to connect parts 2 and 3 in terms of story as well.
There are even plans to equip Planetside Arena with a new game mode that differs from Battle Royale.
How far along is Planetside 3? The team has not commented on this. It is only said that work continues on part 2 and Planetside Arena, while they push the future of the brand forward. It is unclear whether Planetside 3 is still in the conceptual phase or if work is already really underway.

What does the community think about this? Part of the community finds the situation curious: Employees are being laid off again, and now a huge new game is supposed to be created that is even bigger than Planetside 2?
TheProScout says on Reddit: “A Planetside 3 without the developers of PS2, because they were fired…”
But there are also players who are already looking forward to it and making suggestions:
[KOTV]Errol writes: “It should stay as close to PS2 as possible but offer a modified hex and resource system. A single world where all players fight against each other in two or three factions.”
Destiny 2 has introduced a new power level cap with Shadowkeep and changed the way there. However, it seems that this peak level cannot be reached normally at the moment. You definitely need the help of the seasonal artifact. And if nothing changes, you could end up below the cap at the end of Season 8.
What does leveling look like now? At the start of Season 8 and the Shadowkeep expansion, there were some changes to the leveling system in Destiny 2.
Initially, all players were set to power level 750 on October 1 to ensure everyone starts at the same level.
The soft cap is now at power level 900. This means that items found from 750 to 900 provide a power upgrade and help you on the way up.
From 900 to the hard cap of 950, only Powerful rewards will take you further, the sources of which are limited weekly.
To get from 950 to the peak cap of 960, you depend on so-called pinnacle gear. This gear is even rarer than the powerful items and is only available through very few specific activities.
Additionally, there is the seasonal artifact. This also allows you to level up to the peak cap of 960 and even beyond. However, the additional levels gained through the artifact are only available seasonally (reset at the end of a season) and do not count in the calculation for the power level of your loot.
So if you want to reach and maintain the peak cap regularly at the end of the season, it can only be done through pinnacle gear.
How can you actually reach the new peak cap of 960? Without the help of the seasonal artifact, you rely on pinnacle gear. Only this grants you power upgrades beyond 950.
This gear is currently only available from the following sources:
What is the problem here? The path from 950 to 960 is initially very tedious without the help of the artifact and heavily dependent on luck.
To normally reach a power level beyond 950, you need to have an item with power level 950 for each of the 8 gear slots (3x weapon, 5x armor). You do not need to have it equipped, but at least own it.
Then you need to play activities that drop pinnacle gear as rewards. This gear will drop at a power level above your current level, starting at 951. And only when you have gear with power level 951 for all 8 slots will pinnacle gear with power level 952 start to drop for you.
Moreover, it currently seems that it is not possible to regularly reach 960 during Season 8. The tedious leveling will then continue item by item up to power level 960. Theoretically, you need a total of 80 perfectly matching drops to get a character from 950 to 960.
However, with the sources currently available (5x weekly and a total of 12 from the Iron Banner), you will only reach 62 pinnacle items in a 10-week season (estimated duration of Season 8). Additionally, you need to level up to 950 from the start, which also takes time. Once you reach 950 – I emphasize, normally, i.e., without the artifact – you have only about 7 weeks left and 8 Iron Banner pinnacle drops, which corresponds to 43 pinnacle items.
Furthermore, not every drop will bring the desired missing item, and you can also expect duplicates.
What does this mean for the players? Specifically, this means that if no further pinnacle rewards are added during the season, it will currently not be possible to regularly reach a power level of 960. Even if the artifact may take you far beyond, you will likely end Season 8 below 960 after the reset of the seasonal levels.
However, it is conceivable that Bungie may introduce further sources for pinnacle gear during the season, for example with the new dungeon or raid challenges, to close this gap. Currently, however, there is no official information on this.
How far are you with your regular power level? And how much is the artifact boosting you now?
Just before BlizzCon, leaks and information about upcoming games are pouring in. Overwatch 2 has now received some promising leaks.
Every year, just before BlizzCon, it’s time for speculation, fake leaks, and also some true leaks that leak out before the fair. Besides all the speculation surrounding the next Overwatch game, there is also a leak source that is particularly interesting.
That’s the streamer Metro, who has released some details on Twitter that supposedly come from the project “Overwatch 2”.
Why is Metro credible? Metro has a bit more credibility than other supposed leaks, as he proved his sources last year. He correctly predicted Ashe and the McCree cinematic last year.
Metro knew about Ashe before many others.
What does the leak say? Metro has shared several pieces of information on Twitter in recent days, which he claims to have from a source. Here are the most important pieces of information. Overwatch 2 will:
Be introduced with a short cinematic where many heroes are seen, including Mei, Tracer, Winston, and a younger Genji. Mei will likely be injured and rescued by Genji.
Include PvE and PvP.
Have a story mode.
Feature a leveling system that affects how you can play your hero. However, he didn’t know if this only pertains to PvE or also to PvP.
As an example, he mentioned a modification of Tracer’s Pulse Bomb: When she hits an enemy with it, all nearby enemies will also be affected by a Pulse Bomb.
The game will be a standalone title and not an expansion for Overwatch.

What else does Metro speculate: Besides that, Metro is also speculating a bit and thinks that skins earned in Overwatch might be transferable to Overwatch 2. But that is purely his speculation. Additionally, Metro believes that Overwatch 2 will take place historically in the past, during the height of Overwatch. This would also fit the cinematic.
Genji is expected to play an important role in the cinematic.
No new hero at BlizzCon: Something disappointing for fans might be that BlizzCon, according to Metro, will not present a new Overwatch hero. Apparently, all resources are currently being focused on Overwatch 2, so no new heroes will be released for the time being.

Ultimately, everyone must decide for themselves whether to believe this information. Metro has at least proven in the past that his sources were reliable.
Would you be happy about an “Overwatch 2”? In what form should it take place?
Today (October 21) we will have a live stream of FIFA 20. Our Leya from MeinMMO faces off against Maurice Weber from GameStar – both have no idea about the game.
What have I gotten myself into? It was late at the office and we were brainstorming ideas for our streaming channel. Suddenly, there it was, this idea called “Not My Thing.” Here, games are played that the players don’t really know much about.
For me, this game is FIFA 20. Even in real life, ball sports are not my thing, as my hand-eye coordination could be compared to that of a sack of potatoes. My knowledge of football rules is also quite limited.
Watch the stream here from 5 PM
What will happen in the stream? Since it’s more fun to embarrass ourselves together, Maurice Weber from GameStar has agreed to take on this experiment with me. The main goal is to have fun with something that is unfamiliar to us.
Maurice is especially comfortable when he’s strategizing in real-time strategy games or getting lost in a fantasy RPG. We will compete against each other in FIFA 20. Here is a very sincere symbolic image of what will happen in the stream.
Leya naturally plans to beat Maurice in FIFA.
When is the stream? Today (Monday), October 21.
What time is the stream? The stream runs from 5 PM to 7 PM.
Where can the stream be watched? On our streaming channel Monsters and Explosions (MAX). Below is the streamed embedded:

Whether you have no idea yourselves and guess with us how the game works. Or you might be a FIFA pro and can tell us which teams we should pick or how best to kick. We would be happy if you don’t leave us alone with it.
Until then, you can get informed here about what’s happening in FIFA 20:
The Twitch streamer behind the channel “DansGaming” says he has succeeded in reaching the top on Twitch. But this came at a high price. He cut off all social contacts. His whole life was organized around streaming.
This is what the streamer says: In a Twitch clip, the streamer says he feels lonely and sad. He has lost all social connections to people.
You have to sacrifice a lot if you want to be a streamer. Because you are always on air – day in, day out, all the time.
If you haven’t found a partner before you became a professional streamer, it’s hard to meet someone. You never go out – never go out with friends.

Everything focuses on streaming. Just “Stream, Stream, Stream – Grind, Grind, Grind”, if you want to get ahead. Now he is at the top, but has lost everything along the way.
Conveyor Belt Work on Twitch
What kind of channel is this? The channel “DansGaming” is ranked 133rd on Twitch by followers with about 800,000 people.
It’s a “Variety Gaming” channel. The streamer plays all sorts of things. In the last six months, especially Skyrim, They are Billions, World of Warcraft, Fire Emblem, Days Gone, or Borderlands 3.
Unlike many currently popular streamers who exploded with Fortnite, Dans Gaming has been doing this for a long time.
The tracking site Sullygnome shows that he has been streaming full-time for at least 4 years.

In the meantime, Dan’sGaming had phases where he was on air for 500 hours a month, then again phases where it was “only” 183 hours – but the average is huge.
And that’s just the time “live on air” – for a professional streamer, additional time is needed for:
Accounting and taxes
Negotiations with partners
Fan management
During Dan’s Gaming streams, an average of about 10,000 people watch him over the last six months.
MontanaBlack is extremely successful on Twitch and is usually only on air for between 60 and 90 hours a month.
Insane Time Investment for Streamers Who Have to “Grind”
This is what’s behind it: The Twitch system seduces streamers to self-exploitation. Because it knows no limits.
Those who are very successful have to stream comparatively little because they earn a high hourly wage. Thus, the German streamer, MontanaBlack, is only seen for about 60 to 90 hours a month. He is therefore online 3-4 times less than Dan’s Gaming. But he also has on average 4 times more viewers.
Currently one of the most successful streamers Tfue: Also took a long break in September.
Those with comparatively few viewers have to work and stream many hours to finance their livelihood with Twitch. The everyday “streaming as work” is described as grinding, a treadmill.
Additionally, there is the “It can always be more” effect: Streamers believe they can only grow their channel by working as much as possible and always being on air, otherwise they lose their edge. Viewers forget the channel and turn to competitors in their free time.

After the ban, MontanaBlack can go out on Friday nights.
The “Twitch” system, which leaves streamers completely free, apparently has some downsides. Dan’sGaming’s example shows what people should consider if they plan to go full-time on Twitch themselves.
One week ago, an event about the black hole took place in Fortnite. This caused huge viewer numbers on YouTube and Twitch. However, Fortnite’s long-time top streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, was not streaming on Mixer at all. What was going on?
Why did Twitch explode? Last Sunday, on October 13, an event took place in Fortnite. It had been announced for a long time and a countdown was ticking down.
No one knew at the time: The event turned out to be much bigger than expected and made headlines worldwide.
Epic pulled off a special PR coup: The event made the previous world of Fortnite implode and get sucked into a black hole.
For almost a day and a half, no one could play Fortnite.
But this time, everything was silent. Ninja did not stream the event on Mixer.
Ninja explained to his fans that he preferred to fly with his in-laws and his wife’s brother to a football game. He had access to the field. A private jet flew them there.

That seemed more important to him at the moment. The game took place on Monday evening, and Sunday was a travel day for Ninja. Ninja was born in Detroit and is therefore clearly a fan of the Detroit Lions, while his wife’s family apparently supports Green Bay.
In the end, Ninja was terribly upset about the football game. Because the Green Bay Packers won 23:22.
Ninja accused the referees of having favored his opponent. In protest, Ninja announced that he would never attend a game again.

What’s behind it: The interesting thing here is that Ninja would probably never have missed a Fortnite event during his Twitch days because he was extremely trapped in the “grind” of Twitch, fighting for every viewer and every subscription.
A “live event” in Fortnite was always the highlight of a season and guaranteed attention.
The Twitch Ninja of 2017 and 2018 was dependent on the viewers’ favor and believed he had to be on air every free minute to avoid losing viewers and thus missing out on money.
Because while others criticize Ninja’s switch, Cuban says: The big streamers have no life on Twitch. Ninja made the right decision to switch. One has to consider that Ninja now has to stream much less on Mixer.
The website ZONEofTECH is currently spreading a leaked image of the PlayStation 5. It shows a dev kit of the new console. It features the V-design, which has appeared in earlier concepts.
What does the dev kit look like? The image shows a front view of the PS5 dev kit. Here, we can see the V-design, which is supposed to significantly improve the cooling of the gaming console. Additionally, there are six USB ports at the front, one of which appears to be a 2.0 port (black), while the others presumably have USB 3.0.
On the left, there is the Blu-Ray drive, 7 numbered lights that could represent connected controllers or used CPU cores, and the buttons:
ON/STANDBY
RESET
EJECT
SYSTEM INT
NETWORK INT
On the right, there is also a larger black dot, which could be a camera or the power button.
Dev kits rarely look like finished consoles
Will the finished PS5 look like the dev kit? So far, there are no details on the final appearance of the PlayStation 5, which is set to release in Christmas 2020.
However, the dev kits of previous PlayStation generations have always differed significantly from the final version. The PS4 dev kit was a huge and very unattractive box that had little in common with the finished version:
Could the PS5 be an exception? However, with the PS5, something is different. Behind the design of the dev kit is an idea of how to effectively cool the internal parts of the console. Game developers work with the console and adjust to processor and graphics temperatures. After all, the PS5 is supposed to support 4K and 120 Hz.
It is therefore possible that the PS5 at least retains the basic idea with the V-look. Since there are two small rubber mats on the console to prevent slipping, it might be that you can simply flip the finished console over.
ZONEofTECH also speculates about a similar design for the console, which simply looks a bit rounder and more polished.
Idea for the PS5 design by ZONEofTECH left vs. dev kit right (Source: YouTube)
However, it is also possible that the finished PS5 looks completely different.
What do you think about the possible V-design? Does it appeal to you or not?
Destiny 2 offers a paid level boost to Power Level 900 for your second and third character. But you really don’t need it. We’ll show you how to quickly reach the soft cap with your other guardians.
What’s the deal with the boost? After the release of the Shadowkeep expansion, it has been possible in Destiny 2 since October 15 to boost your second or third characters directly to Power Level 900, saving you the effort of leveling up.
However, the fun costs about 20€ per character and is only available after you have already reached or exceeded the soft cap of 900 with one of your guardians.
Freshly minted guardians might now be tempted to spend money for this shortcut. But is it worth it?
Is the boost worth it? Not really. Save your 20€ instead.
Because the boost only raises you to the soft cap of 900. If your goal is endgame, then the real journey begins here, and the true grind lies ahead.
Also, you can easily and quickly reach Power Level 900 with your other characters by other means – even if you have little time available. We will explain how.
How to quickly raise your other characters to Power Level 900 – completely for free
Essentially, there are 3 methods to quickly raise your second or third chars to 900.
Method 1 – Play the Game: As simple as it sounds, it is in principle also that simple.
The boost only becomes available once you have a character over Power Level 900. Taking the same starting situation and diving into the game with the second or third character, it will take a maximum of 2-3 hours until you reach Power Level 900.
Just grab the weapons with the highest Power Level from your main character and transfer them to the guardian you want to start with (or retrieve them from the vault after the introductory mission as soon as possible if you’re completely new). That alone should give you a significant push in Power Level. The boost is greater the higher the transferred equipment is.
Fight your way through the story and the tasks from Shadowkeep or the Free-to-Play version Destiny 2: New Light and you’ll soon be at 900. Because 900 is also the current soft cap of Destiny 2. This means that pretty much every piece of equipment and weapon you find will take you further in Power Level.
Method 2 – Vanguard or Crucible Tokens: If you are an experienced player or have already accumulated a stockpile of Vanguard or Crucible tokens with your main character, you can also accelerate leveling.
Transfer your strongest weapons to the desired character and head to Lord Shaxx or Commander Zavala, where you can exchange the tokens for reputation-boosting engrams. Given enough tokens, you can easily be at 900 within minutes.
Method 3 – Leveling Equipment from the Collection: The third method works through leveling equipment from the collection as well as (additionally) through the Season Pass.
You will need some glimmer and weapon parts, which should not be a major issue given the progress of your main character. If you want to use the Season Pass, you will need at least level 10, but level 15 is better and level 20 is optimal. Ultimately, level 10 will also suffice.
Again, you should first transfer your strongest weapons to your second or third character – whether with the app or with the help of the vault. Navigate to the game menu, then to the collection. There, select armor and click on LEVELING at the bottom left.
Now acquire blue armor pieces from this collection. The first set will likely be well below your Power Level, but the second complete set will already give you a decent boost towards your average Power Level. Buy set pieces together until you’re no longer receiving higher items and delete excess items from your inventory.
Now you can either assist with one of the two methods above or access the rewards in the Season Pass (this works even with the free reward branch). There are armor pieces to collect every 5 levels. Once you reach level 10, you can now acquire 2 armor pieces from the Pass. But first, just grab one.
Continue leveling armor from the collection until you no longer make progress in power level. Then, get the next armor piece from the pass and repeat this process (up to 4x if you are at level 20).
This should already bring you quite close to 900, if not even higher. If you still lack a bit of power, then use one of the methods above (depending on resources) and you’ll be quickly at 900 – without spending a single extra cent.
What do you think? Is the level boost in Destiny 2 worth it? Or do you see it as a pure waste of money?
In Pokémon GO many players are currently having problems with the raid boss Darkrai. It is simply too difficult to defeat and is causing frustration in many communities.
Here is the problem: Darkrai is classified as a level 6 boss. Normally, such raid bosses are level 5 raids and thus significantly easier to defeat. Instead of 3 players, you now need 4 players and even then, only with good counters.
This creates issues in many communities, as finding 4-5 players quickly is not always easy in many locations. The raid boss for the Halloween event often remains in the gyms and is not raided.
Darkrai is too difficult and causes a lot of frustration
This is criticized by many players: It is mainly the unnecessary step to a level 6 boss that causes a lot of confusion. If Darkrai were a level 5 boss, then it could have even been fought two against one with a strong Machamp team.
The trainers cannot understand why Darkrai is made so unnecessarily difficult. In the end, players are only hindered from doing many raids, as it is just not easy to find enough teammates.
So the trainer “PenutButrJeliTime” looked for reasons for this step but simply could not find any. He and other players say in the comments:
Darkrai is a damn good Pokémon and because of that it can also be harder to defeat, but Rayquaza is similarly good and could even be defeated two against one
People have waited a long time for the Pokémon, but they have at least waited just as long for Shiny Rayquaza and this was also not a level 6 boss
This is also seen as a problem: Trainer Jmulls sees another problem in the organization of raids and shares it on reddit. There are no communication options within the game. You always have to organize externally.
There is no raid organization in the game
The trainer wonders how Niantic wants to promote teamwork while not making organization easier in return.
Is the criticism understandable? Especially players in small towns and with small communities can certainly relate to this criticism. Darkrai could very easily have been a level 5 boss and significantly more raids could have been completed.
Additionally, the weather is getting worse and fewer and fewer players actually come out. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent group for raids.
In return, there have recently also been Mewtwo raids that were at level 6. Here too, 4 players were needed. The criticism was not as great there, because there were enough players for it. The hype around Shiny Mewtwo was huge.
What do you think? Do you understand Niantic’s decision or would you prefer Darkrai to be a level 5 raid?
It looks like Diablo IV is officially confirmed. An error in an advertisement has revealed that the title is in development.
In the lead-up to BlizzCon, leaks and accidental revelations are not uncommon, but I’m sure Blizzard didn’t expect it this way. It seems that Diablo 4 is going to be one of the major announcements at BlizzCon, as an advertisement has inadvertently revealed the title.
What happened? As GameStar reports, an advertisement for a Diablo art book has surfaced that revealed a bit too many details. The book was supposed to come out after BlizzCon (November 1-3), but it has already been advertised. The corresponding ad can be seen in the current GameStar. The advertisement states the following:
Featuring over 500 artworks from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, and Diablo IV, this book showcases numerous remarkable pieces of art created for the iconic action role-playing game from Blizzard Entertainment, which has provided generations of fans with eternal nightmares.
So if an art book is officially advertising artworks for Diablo IV, it seems very likely that this game will be announced very soon.
How likely is that? The likelihood of an announcement for Diablo IV is thus extremely high. However, it was already high before this slip-up. Last year, Blizzard had announced after the “Diablo: Immortal” debacle that they were working on several Diablo projects but weren’t yet ready to talk about them.
When will there be new info? More details will apparently be revealed at BlizzCon 2019, which takes place in just under 2 weeks. We should expect the first images and solid information about the gameplay of the latest installment in the Diablo series.
Are you looking forward to Diablo IV? Or does your heart beat for Diablo: Immortal?
How did the last match of Group C go? At the end of the match day, Fnatic faced the Chinese team Royal Never Give Up. Both had won 3 matches and lost 2. This duel was to decide who would make it to the quarter-finals.
From the start, the European team held nothing back and dominated the proceedings. They managed good trades repeatedly and secured the dragon four times.
After 22 minutes, they had a gold lead of 5,500 and quickly secured the Baron buff. After that, they slowly but surely tore down RNG’s base.
In the end, the winner was Fnatic and Rekkles could not hold back his tears. He struggled with a small trauma related to the opposing AD carry Uzi, against whom he had lost at Worlds 2017 and MSI 2018.
Now, for the first time, it was tears of joy, as many had also expected the European team to be eliminated. That the Worlds are very emotional, is also shown by the casters from Taiwan.
New record for Europe: With Fnatic’s victory, all three European teams managed to advance to the next round:
Splyce secured their advancement already on Thursday
G2 Esports advanced on Friday
All three teams finished in second place, so they cannot meet in the next round.
What about Group D? Today, on October 20, Group D plays its return round. There, the last American team Team Liquid fights for advancement.
Currently, they have a record of 2:1, but Invictus Gaming, winners of Worlds 2018, and DAMWON Gaming have the same result. It will be very exciting there.
For Clutch Gaming, however, it was the last match ever. The organization will be taken over by Dignitas, which secured its place in America for the upcoming season back in summer.
Faker has to concede defeat to Veigar
How did the match against SKT1 go? After the rather mediocre match against Clutch Gaming, many fans and especially the casters expected a loss from Fnatic. But they made a very clever decision.
They allowed Faker Akali for the mid lane, only to counter him in the champion selection. Nemesis of Fnatic picked the wizard Veigar and made Faker look pale multiple times.
The most spectacular scene was an attempted tower dive by Faker. This, however, went terribly wrong:
Nemesis was so strong on Veigar that he ended up with a full Mejai’s Soulstealer. His ultimate destroyed the opposing team. Additionally, he managed several spectacular blocks with the ability Event Horizon (E), which secured Fnatic several towers.
Alongside Nemesis, Bwipo of Fnatic also performed extremely well. The top laner dominated on Gangplank in the early game against Khan on Vladimir.

The European team Fnatic has made it to the quarter-finals of the LoL Worlds 2019. In Group C, which was referred to as the death group, they achieved a smooth winning streak on the last match day. For Europe, this also means a record.
What happened on the last match day? Fnatic had to face every member of Group C on October 19. Among them were the teams SK Telecom T1 with superstar Faker and Royal Never Give Up with the strong AD carry Uzi.
In the first round, Fnatic lost to these two teams. To have a chance for the quarter-finals after the 1:2, they needed victories against these two opponents. And the European team delivered.
In thrilling duels, especially the top laner Bwipo came into top form, although he had faced criticism in the past few days.

Clutch Gaming risked too much with base rush
How did the match against Clutch Gaming go? Fnatic’s first opponent on Saturday was Clutch Gaming. The American team was considered the underdog of Group C and could not succeed against any of the three teams in the first round.
However, the entire match was very chaotic. There were 50 kills, two open bases, and many, many misplays. In the end, Clutch Gaming risked too much with a backdoor attempt and lost the match.
The game against Clutch Gaming was, however, a must-win for Fnatic. The two following matches would decide whether the European team would continue.
Currently, they have a record of 2:1, but Invictus Gaming, winners of Worlds 2018, and DAMWON Gaming have the same result. It will be very exciting there.

The patch 9.21 will be released in the coming week in Teamfight Tactics and it will be the last update of Set 1. Accordingly, the champion that dominated the entire set will be nerfed: Draven.
Which champion dominated Set 1? The AD carry Draven has been a strong champion since the release of TFT and could be used in any meta. Over the months, players repeatedly built new champion combos around Draven, including currently 6 Knights and 4 Imperials.
With patch 9.21, Draven will be adjusted for the first time since the patch in mid-August. At that time, his damage was reduced from 75 to 70. The new update further reduces the attack damage. The changes on the PBE look as follows:
Damage reduced from 70/126/252 to 65/117/234.
Whether this change will completely remove Draven from the meta for the first time is questionable. However, there are some buffs for other classes and champions that could displace Knights and Imperials.
When will patch 9.21 be released? The new update will be available to us during the night of October 22 to 23, 2019. It is also the last update of Set 1.
Who benefits from the upcoming patch 9.21? The new update buffs the origins Rangers and Sorcerers. Sorcerers are already strong and will become even more effective with the update.
On the PBE, the changes look as follows:
Rangers: (2) The chance for double attack speed is increased from 20% to 40%. The bonus for (4) Rangers remains at 70%.
Additionally, damage from the ranger Varus is increased from 50/90/180 to 60/108/216.
Sorcerers: (6) The spell damage of all units is increased from +100% to +120%. (9) The spell damage is increased from +175% to +200%.
Patch 9.21 also brings buffs for another champion and various items that are currently hardly used:
A new glitch involving the exotic weapon Telesto has appeared in Destiny 2. The exploit is so powerful that Bungie is putting the brakes on it and rendering the weapon unusable. The exotic fusion rifle can no longer be used for now – especially since Xur is currently selling the weapon.
What kind of weapon is this? Telesto is an exotic fusion rifle. The weapon was introduced with “The Taken King” in the fall of 2015 and was then reused for Destiny 2. Bungie is known to do this in extremely rare cases, or so the rumors say.
The trick of the weapon is that the projectiles stick to the enemy and explode after a while. These are small fusion mines.
Telesto has always been somewhat of a cult weapon, surrounded by many sayings. One of the most famous is: “Telesto is da besto.” Because Telesto changes the playstyle, it is considered a prime example of a successful weapon exotic.
About a year ago, the weapon was last in the spotlight: Players could complete rounds particularly quickly in the “Blind Well” of Forsaken with Telesto.
Telesto gives players their Super back incredibly quickly
This is now the problem: Someone has found a game-breaking bug that affects Telesto.
With a Telesto, it is possible to fire 4 shots on the ground, effectively placing small fusion mines. After that, you throw a grenade on these mines and blow them up.
The game interprets Telesto’s mines as enemies, and the explosion of the mines is counted as if you had just achieved 4 kills. This fills the Super.
It was therefore possible to continuously charge the Super with the combination of the Iron Banner mod, Telesto, and a grenade. According to Forbes, the Super could be generated every 5 seconds.
What were the impacts? If you look at the usage rate of Telesto on the tracker, its popularity dramatically increased within a day as the glitch seemed to make the rounds in the community.
Telesto had a stable usage rate of about 0.2% since Shadowkeep – on October 18, it rose to 0.3%.
The exploit increase was already noticeable. Source: destinytracker
Until now, only smaller YouTubers had spread this bug – their videos had between 6,000 and 41,000 views. The usual suspects on YouTube with a large reach had apparently not discovered the bug yet.
Surely, the bug would have caused more frustration if people were constantly running around with a full Super in Destiny 2’s PvP.
This is how Bungie reacts: Bungie banned Telesto in all activities last night.

Some images from Anthem might bring tears of nostalgia to Mass Effect fans. It seems that skins of the ME aliens are coming soon! The armor looks so good that it almost hurts how mediocre Anthem is currently performing.
Days ago, data miners posted their findings in the Anthem subreddit, as new armor sets have surfaced in the game files. Especially fans of the Mass Effect series will immediately recognize the armors, as they visually correspond to the appearances of the various alien races from Mass Effect, which one could have in their team in almost all installments of the series.
What is visible in the images? The images show a skin for all four Javelins, namely Interceptor, Storm, Ranger, and Colossus. Depending on the Javelin, there is a different visual adaptation to the respective alien race from Mass Effect.
The Interceptor takes on the appearance of a Quarian. In Mass Effect, this is a race of nomads that must wear protective suits because they quickly become infected with diseases.
The Storm can take on the likeness of an Asari. This is a race that is attractive to all races, purely female, and relies on powerful biotic abilities – similar to how the Storm uses its skills. However, the femininity does not quite come across with this skin.
The Ranger gets the armor of a Turian, a race with a strong sense of justice and numerous specialists. Since Turians are also almost always heavily armored in Mass Effect, the outfit fits almost perfectly.
The Colossus can dress like a Krogan in the future. These aliens are rough, brutal, and were particularly favored as front-line fighters. Since they are also almost always heavily armored in Mass Effect and have a massive head, it fits well with the bulky Colossus.
When are these skins coming? Whether these skins or armor packages will actually come is still unclear. However, a likely date would be November 7th.
This is the “N7 Day” for Mass Effect, named after an elite unit in the game’s universe. This would be almost the perfect time to distribute such a small Mass Effect treat to Anthem fans. However, it is also possible that these armors will simply end up in the shop.
Why do these armors hurt a little? The armors look so good and contain so much love that one wishes more were happening in Anthem at the moment.
The sets remind us of the potential that lies in the “Anthem” brand and in BioWare.
Would you be happy about these armors? Or do the Javelins look too silly with them and don’t fit into Anthem?
With the new Title Update 6 for The Division 2, many new “Named Items” have arrived in the game, which come with unique skins and “Perfect Talents”. Right now, there is an unrelenting hunt for the new pieces – But how can you best get them?
What’s currently happening in The Division 2? Just a few days ago, The Division 2 received its biggest patch so far with Title Update 6. The developers revamped many mechanics with TU6, brought a lot of balancing, and gave agents new toys for their builds.
At the forefront are “Named Items”, which have been overhauled with Title Update 6 and now rank somewhere between Exotic and High-End items.
Named Weapons and Armors for Better Builds
What are “Named Items”? These special items are unique versions of equipment already present in the game and come with a unique appearance, backstory, and “Perfect Talents”.
While the story may not interest all players, the special talents are definitely worth a look, even though the perfect versions are not transferable to other equipment items.
Why does everyone want the “Named Items”? Currently, many agents are on the hunt for the new items and are posting their premiere version on reddit to secure the popular status of being the “first”.
Aside from prestige, there are also some reasonable reasons to hunt for the “Named Items”, after all, the new “Legendarys” offer perfect versions of high-end talents, and the right piece can enhance a build by a few valuable percentage points.
Here are a few examples of the new “Perfect Talents”:
Perfect Vigilance
Increases weapon damage – Buff on incoming damage disabled
Normal: +25% / Perfect: +30%
Perfect Malevolence
Grants weapon damage when a status effect is triggered
Normal: +15% / Perfect +20%
Perfect Ranger
Increases weapon damage based on the distance to the enemy
Normal: 2% / Perfect 3% every 5 meters
The list of known “Named” items continues to grow. Currently, there are over 50 of these coveted pieces in circulation, and users on reddit are actively working to complete the list as quickly as possible.
How do I get my first “Named Items”? Named gear items can also drop at lower levels and will soon become part of the personal loot pool. However, the chances increase with difficulty and are still quite low in the first hours of gameplay.
If you’ve been roaming around Washington for a while, it’s not unlikely that you’ve already gotten one of the pieces. These special versions have been around since the release, and Cassie, the secret arms dealer, regularly had one of the now popular items for sale.
Here’s where you can get your first Named Item
If your stash doesn’t yield anything or you haven’t had any loot luck so far, you can also quite easily get your first “Named Item”. With TU6, the vendors have been revamped, and the level 30 clan vendor you trust is happy to hand over your first piece for a few credits.
You can also draw parts from these sources without loot luck:
Cassie Mendoza
Offers 3 named items every week
Stash Dealer
Has 1 named item each week
Field Research
Sharpshooter & Techniker research unlocks one blueprint for named items each
Invasion Missions with Guaranteed Named Rewards
And where else can you find them? Besides these local sources for named items, there are also good opportunities to snag one of the perfect talents from time to time.
Here are your best chances:
The first completion of the weekly Tidal Basin mission gives a guaranteed named item
The other invasion missions give a guaranteed named item on the heroic difficulty
Bosses at the heroic difficulty can drop a bonus item
This bonus is either named or exotic
Every enemy in the game has a chance to drop named items
The chance increases with difficulty
Any type of equipment crates in the open world
Field expertise containers can also contain named items
In particular, the bosses in the invasion missions on the highest difficulty “Heroic” are a reliable source to score many named items each week.
Even weak enemies have “Named Items”
The fact that even small enemies now drop the coveted items will certainly create some lucky moments in an otherwise quiet city patrol.
What else does TU6 have to offer? The new update comes with many new builds, items, and some new missions; additionally, an additional specialization is now available.
The content DLC “Episode 2” was released for Year-1-Pass holders on October 15 and sends the Division to the Pentagon to stop the nasty “Black Tusk” from stealing dangerous technologies. Without a season pass, the content will be available starting October 22.
Recently, we at MeinMMO wanted to know from you, our readers, how the Shadowkeep expansion for Destiny 2 is received by you some time after its release. And so you voted.
In this context, we started a survey and wanted to know from you what impression Shadowkeep has left on you so far. Now we have evaluated this survey and show you what you think of the new addon.
You voted – here’s how Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is received by you
In total, more than 5,000 MeinMMO readers participated in this survey. You were supposed to rate Shadowkeep on a scale from 1 to 10, where 10 represented the best possible result and 1 the worst.
The majority of you like Shadowkeep: What stands out immediately is that around two thirds, or most of you, rate the Shadowkeep expansion as good or above average. About 69% (3,372) of all votes rated Destiny 2 between 7 and 10 points – and this despite the fact that there were indeed some criticisms.
In detail,
12% of you gave 10 points
13% rated Shadowkeep with 9 points
27% of participants chose 8 points
17% voted with 7 points
31% of all participants rated Destiny with 6 points or worse. The results were as follows:
6% gave 6 points
9% of participants gave 5 points
4% voted with 4 and 3 points each
3% with 2 points
and 5% of participants rated Shadowkeep with only one point
This is how the votes were distributed in the survey
What do our readers say about the Shadowkeep expansion?
How is this result actually reached? What do the Guardians in particular think about Shadowkeep? What do they find particularly good, what is particularly bad? A look at the comments provides a small insight into the voting results of some Guardians.
While much is a matter of taste – what is praised to the skies by one is criticized by another – some key points have definitely crystallized.
This is praised: The numerous changes and innovations, such as Armor 2.0 or the universal ornaments, are praised – even though for some Guardians, the system was only a step in the right direction and there is still room for improvement.
Many Guardians also enjoy the new mods. Additionally, the raid and the moon location (despite recycling) are well-received. The new season pass with the battle pass system is motivating for some Guardians.
Our reader Uldren Sov says: “Objectively speaking, it’s probably an 8.5/10. For me as a Destiny fan, it’s a 10/10 since I find the moon just amazing…”
Jimbo Jones writes: “For me, as always, absolute addictive! Just a super expansion! The new Armor 2.0 and the ability to change the appearance of armor with ornaments is one of the best improvements.”
User ItzOlii says: “For me personally, a clear 9/10. I can understand the criticism regarding the story, but I do not share it…”
And this is how KingFritz feels: “I think it’s great. It’s fun again, especially since I only needed 16 matches to get Luna and the Spider…”
This is criticized: Even though most of you rate the new expansion positively, there is also a lot of criticism. In particular, the story, the general content, and too much content recycling are focal points of criticism.
For many readers, there is simply too little new content (weapons, armors, exotics) and too many reskins in contrast. Additionally, the new activities like the Vex Offensive or the Nightmare Hunt are not well received. Critics find them lacking variety and they quickly become boring. There was also too little love for the Crucible again, according to many PvP enthusiasts.
Our reader No Name writes: “4/10. PvP was nearly ignored. PvE lacks love and feels unfinished. Armor 2.0 is pretty cool.”
Marki Wolle says: “Still 7/10. Just too little of everything compared to Taken King and Forsaken and far too little story.”
Belpherus adds: “So I’m a bit surprised at how thin this addon has been so far, especially since we have a direct comparison to Forsaken….”
Willy Snipes believes: “A few more new exotics or armors would have been nice. A few weapons just don’t cut it for me. If they’re already reintroducing everything from D1 step by step, then please larger steps than 1-2 old exotics per expansion.”
And Mel MacBrody summarizes: “Too short of a story with a massive cliffhanger, hardly any new content that we can play RIGHT NOW (I don’t care what comes in a few weeks), hardly any new weapons, most of which are reskins, and PvP has been massively degraded due to too many nerfs.”
Some have changed their opinion: Over time, the overall impression of some Guardians has also changed.
For example, MrCnzl writes: “I found the first week super as well. Now somewhat disillusioned….”
And vvV AmNesiA Vvv says: “I would like to change my opinion. From an initially euphoric influenced 7 to a somewhat disappointed and mediocre 5 now.”
Did you expect this result? Or are there surprises for you? Has your image perhaps also changed by now? Let us and other readers know in the comments.
In Fortnite Chapter 2, there is a new sound feature designed to help players hear the location of enemies. Especially Twitch streamer DrDisrespect should be happy about this: He has always been bothered by the fact that players couldn’t locate enemies through audio.
Which sound feature is being referred to? After the update 2.10, a change was added to the sound settings of Fortnite. This feature is called: 3D headphones.
It should help players to locate the location of their opponents and chests, and it was difficult to hear where the enemies were. For instance, they can now better hear, for example, from which direction footsteps are coming.
Here you can see the video about the 3D headphones:

This feature should especially please Dr. Disrespect. This way, he might have more fun playing the game and would complain less about Fortnite.
What does the Twitch streamer think about the audio in Fortnite? The streamer DrDisrespect has complained several times about the sound in Fortnite.
He is used to having this feature as standard from other shooters. One of the tricks in shooter games is also to listen to the footsteps of enemies to know where the next attack might come from.
This is why the streamer couldn’t stand the sound: When the Twitch streamer was playing Fortnite, there were major difficulties with the sound as he couldn’t locate his opponents.
He is a champion.
In one situation, he found himself in a house. The enemy was on the roof and destroyed the floor that the streamer had built. He couldn’t hear exactly where the enemy was and realized too late that he was already in the same room.
He was quickly eliminated. The streamer then ironically said: “Great audio!”

Another time, he was just in a build battle and thought the enemy had jumped back to the ground. However, he was up on the high ground the whole time.
He then tried to hide and drink a mini, but the enemy jumped down and killed him with a shot. The Doc shouted: “What’s wrong with this sound? It’s so bad. The audio is terrible. Look at that guy, you can’t even hear him!”

2019 could have been a good year for MMORPG players. Many new games were announced. But hardly any of them made it to release this year. What went wrong?
MMORPGs like Ashes of Creation or Project TL openly announced the previous year that they wanted to launch in 2019. However, such planned release dates should be taken with caution.
Because even this year, some online role-playing games failed to meet their target. In this article, we will examine what happened with MMORPGs in 2019, as well as what the current games in development are struggling with.
Why are release dates rarely met for MMORPGs?
What are the issues with MMORPGs? Players have been waiting for games like Crowfall, Camelot Unchained, or Chronicles of Elyria for up to 7 years. MMORPGs face many challenges during their development, including:
Massive and open game worlds that need to be filled with content.
Varied player populations.
Large server and data volumes.
However, players also contribute to many adjustments with their expectations and requests for changes that were not included in the original plans for the game. Additionally, a game-as-a-service must continue to be maintained after the release, unlike a single-player game.
Why do incorrect release dates keep occurring? We asked the developers of Crowfall why incorrect release dates happen repeatedly for MMORPGs.
Creative Director J. Todd Coleman responded and sees the problems mainly rooted in the need for studios to experiment if they want to stand out from other games:
Game development is iterative, as the question “What is fun?” is elusive. If you copy an existing game, you can be much more accurate with your estimates because you have a detailed roadmap that shows you exactly what you need to build.
But the more unique the idea, the more it deviates from the norm, the more you rely on experimentation, and experimentation is by definition an unpredictable process. Most commercial games can hide this phase because they can be quietly developed during this time of experimentation.
Small studios, primarily supported by players, are constantly in the public eye, as they had to present themselves even before the experimentation phase:
Especially crowdfunded MMOs seem to suffer extremely from the problem of incorrect release dates. I think this can probably be attributed to two things:
First, they MUST be unique visions or they won’t get funded (why would I fund a game I can already buy?). As I outlined above, being unique means experimenting, and that in turn means unpredictability.
Second, the unveiling happens right at the beginning of the process, before you even start experimenting, let alone find the right solution. You don’t have the luxury of suffering in private.
Next, we want to look at the three MMORPGs that mentioned a timeframe for release in 2019 but could not keep it. However, all three are still in development.
What went wrong with Crowfall?
What is Crowfall?Crowfall is an MMORPG that incorporates some strategic elements into the game. It differs from other games in the genre in that it:
Has different worlds referred to as campaigns.
Most of these worlds go through a cycle before hunger comes and consumes them. Only one social world with housing remains permanently.
During the campaign, in which battles between guilds or factions occur, rewards can be earned that can then be used in the social world.
How did 2019 go for Crowfall? This year the MMORPG made many advancements. For example, the first official campaign of the game was launched in January. All testers of the LIVE environment could try it out.
Why was the release of Crowfall delayed? Originally, the MMORPG was supposed to launch in 2017. In a statement in mid-2018, it was said that the release was postponed to 2019. But this year too, Crowfall won’t be released.
Creative Director J. Todd Coleman explained why the development of Crowfall is so difficult:
We are taking a variety of design risks and making a game that is completely different from your “normal” fantasy MMO. We have:
– Procedural worlds – Dynamic seasons and weather – A massive combination of races/classes/skill trees/passive abilities – a player-driven economy – player kingdoms – and of course, we have a strategy game of territorial conquest where a guild can literally “win” an entire MMO server.
These many contents do not come without problems, and the community has other expectations in some areas:
Our players wanted a different and more engaging combat system than we initially proposed and implemented. We worked on that for about 1.5 years before the audience told us that we were on the right track.
We also greatly underestimated the amount of work that arises from live tests around the clock during the entire development. We have to treat the game fundamentally as a live service while still developing it.
Constant communication with your community is fantastic in one respect, but responding to that feedback takes a lot of time.
The MMORPG is expected to involve political duels for the leadership of a city and massive battles for fortresses. Additionally, Ashes of Creation focuses on classic elements such as:
What was planned for 2019? In the original release plan, it was stated that Ashes of Creation should be released before 2020. The first alpha was supposed to start at the beginning of the year:
Why was the release of Ashes of Creation delayed? The alpha 0 was actually supposed to start in December 2018 as Apocalypse. The planned release severely disrupted the studio’s timeline due to many server and overall development issues. Further tests in January and February also showed problems, preventing Apocalypse from being released.
With the delayed release of the PvP game, the subsequent alpha 1 was also postponed. It was supposed to start in early 2019, but at this time, October 19, 2019, it still hasn’t started.

All the issues caused by the server and client can be avoided during the alpha and beta tests. The combat system will also undergo extensive testing in the PvP standalone.
In the coming months, more game modes for Apocalypse are planned, including fortress battles that will also serve to prepare for the MMORPG.
When the currently suspended alpha 1 will start and when a new release timeframe will be targeted is currently unknown. However, a developer letter with new information is expected to follow in October 2019.
What went wrong with Project TL?
What is Project TL? Project TL was originally called Lineage Eternal and was intended as a hybrid game for PC and smartphones. There have since been changes in the development team, the engine, and the direction of the game.
Project TL is now set to become an action MMORPG for PC. It promises:
Unreal Engine 4 with particularly great graphics and dynamic weather
Currently, it seems far from these goals. We hear nothing more about the new MMORPG, and the developer NCSoft has gone quiet on other projects as well.
A release in 2019 is theoretically still possible, practically, however, extremely unlikely.

Why was the release of Project TL delayed? It seems that Project TL is mainly failing due to the fact that mobile games are more lucrative for NCSoft. Much focus is on the hit Lineage M, which has been delivering good results in the latest quarterly figures.
A successor, Lineage 2M, is already ready to launch.
Where do the remaining major western MMORPGs stand in 2019?
While the three MMORPGs shown above had actually announced a release for 2019, there are many other games that are significantly behind their original timeline or have not provided a release timeframe.
We would like to take another look at three of these games, as they are all being developed here in the West.
Camelot Unchained
What is happening currently with Camelot Unchained? Work on Camelot Unchained continued in 2019. However, there were no major headlines, just many minor adjustments that have been summarized for you:
When is a release realistic? While you get the impression that Crowfall is slowly nearing the finish line, Camelot Unchained still has a huge mountain of work ahead.
Currently, it seems that a release in 2020 is unlikely. At least financially, there seems to be no significant pressure.
When is a release realistic? Chronicles of Elyria could be a game that may never release. Currently, neither financially nor in terms of playability does it look good.
A release in 2020 already seems highly unlikely.
New World
What is currently happening with New World? The alpha of New World, the sandbox MMO from Amazon, ended in June 2019. Since then, we haven’t heard much about the game.
In September, however, all videos from the official Youtube channel were surprisingly deleted. In a message to us, Amazon assured that New World is still in development and has not been canceled. At least financially, the game has substantial backing.
