A funny bug causes Vulpera in World of Warcraft to sometimes be thrown out of the dungeon without being able to prevent it.
For many players, the highlight of Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth in WoW was not N’Zoth and the associated content, but the introduction of new allied races. Especially the Vulpera are extremely popular. This is not only due to their cute appearance that brings tears of joy to every Furry, but also to the useful and fun racial abilities. However, one of them will bring doom to the Vulpera. Because they leave dungeons without actually wanting to.
What ability is it about? It is about the ability “Return to Camp.” Vulpera are able to set up a camp anywhere in the world and have a sort of second retreat that functions like a Hearthstone.
To return to this location, they use the ability “Return to Camp.” After a casting time of 10 seconds, the character is teleported directly to the location where the camp was set up.
What kind of bug occurs? In many old dungeons (especially the Classic dungeons), bosses and creatures have mind control abilities. This means that affected characters can be controlled by enemies and use the character’s abilities. This also applies to “Return to Camp.”
Again and again, the AI may find it sensible to use exactly this ability on the Vulpera. If the Vulpera is not interrupted – for example, by another player – then what’s expected happens: The Vulpera teleports out of the dungeon and leaves their team behind.
On one hand, it is of course funny, but on the other hand, it’s a bit creepy, because no mob has ever gotten rid of a player so “smartly”.
In “Random Dungeon” groups, this isn’t that big of a deal, because afterwards you can simply teleport back to the dungeon. It might only be annoying for classic groups that travel manually to the dungeon…
It can be expected that Blizzard will fix this bug in a hotfix soon. Until then, you can all grin satisfied when the Vulpera in the group simply ports away.

Third-party providers use various illegal methods to obtain such codes and sell them “cheaply”. Epic apparently wants to curb these actions.
This is what players are reporting now: On reddit and Twitter, confused players are showing pictures that the Ikonik skin and its emote have been removed from their accounts.
The Ikonik skin was an exclusive outfit that could be obtained by purchasing a Samsung S10+.
As a reason, Epic states via an in-game message that something is wrong with the payment.
Players are reporting the methods by which they obtained the skin. It seems that the Ikonik skin has been permanently removed for the affected players.
Reasons for removal still unclear
The reason for the removal of the skin is actually clear: All those who lose the skin obtained it through third-party providers. But it doesn’t seem to be that simple in this case.
Many players are coming forward who supposedly received the Ikonik skin the right way:
They purchased the Samsung device and thus received the code
A friend or relative had the device and gave them the code
However, even some of these seemingly honest players had the exclusive outfit and emote removed from their lockers.
There also seem to be players who bought the exclusive skin from one of the disreputable third-party providers and did not have the skin removed.
This removal of the exclusive skin seems to confuse many. Hopefully, there will be clarification soon, as it seems that no locker is safe from Epic at the moment.

The survival MMO ARK Survival Evolved finally received a release date for the new DLC Genesis. However, this date has been pushed back significantly for content improvements.
When will the DLC Genesis be released? According to the two founders of Studio Wildcard, the first part of the big DLC Genesis is set to be released on February 25, 2020, for all platforms.
This shifts the release by another month. Originally, the update was supposed to come out in December 2019.
For the second part of Genesis, however, Winter 2020 is still mentioned as the release period. Whether this will be met is questionable given the recent delays.
Why is the release being delayed? The additional month will be used to bring together the content of Genesis and make final adjustments to the polish and balance.
The responsible parties regret the delay, but it is necessary to maintain the quality of the game:

Who should check it out again?
Those who really like Anthem and haven’t played for a while can now play it for a few weeks and take advantage of the Winter event. The gameplay is still cool. Others can be advised to wait for the overhaul, “2.0”/”Next”. Then Anthem could gain new momentum, attract new players or bring back old ones.
The big puzzle from Season 9 of Destiny 2 has been solved, but left some Guardians disappointed. The main issue is criticized as unfavorable communication regarding the final reward; many expected something different. Bungie has now commented on it.
What exactly is being criticized? At the center of the criticism was the reward for all the efforts. Essentially, it was not even the reward itself, but the way it was communicated beforehand.
In the end, the Guardians received an exotic item, which in turn launched an exotic quest. The problem was: Both the quest and the Exotic waiting at the end were already known – essentially since the beginning of Season 9.
The exotic fusion rifle Bastion had already been presented on the roadmap and on the official Bungie site, and was originally planned for January 28.
However, since such puzzles normally came with unknown rewards and the Bastion was listed with a different start date, many had the expectation that this time there would be something completely new. Something that does not appear on the roadmap. But instead, they received a weapon that was already known. At the end of the exciting unknown, something well-known was waiting. And that spoiled the finale of the otherwise praised puzzle for many players.
Many then said: If they had not communicated the Bastion so extensively in advance with a different date, but just listed “Exotic” or a question mark in January without a fixed date on the roadmap, then most people would be absolutely satisfied with the reward now.
This is what Bungie says: Bungie has now also commented on this topic. In a conversation with a disappointed fan on Twitter, the Community Manager dmg04 specifically addressed this issue and explained Bungie’s perspective.
The fan initially explained that he was tired of disappointments, such as the Immortal Ghost from Season 8. He thought the team would have learned from it. He was really engrossed in the puzzle, only to find out in the end that he was rewarded with a roadmap item. In the end, he asked if there was no one working on this content who could take a step back and think about the possibility that the community might be upset.
In response, dmg04 initially asked a counter-question: “Do you find it disappointing due to the time invested, the reward, or for other reasons when the community comes together to unlock a new unique Exotic early? Would you have preferred clear expectations for the mysterious?”
Then the Community Manager went on to explain the studio’s approach in this case: “When we design a roadmap, we aim to set expectations regarding the value (of the content). Or: What is the scope of content associated with the season pass? This allows players to justify a purchase compared to previous seasons.”
Then dmg04 specifically addressed the new Exotic Bastion: “If we had not listed the Exotic (on the roadmap), it could have led to a discussion about lack of content. Without a roadmap, it could lead to the discussion that we would be ‘obscuring’ the season and not providing enough important information for a prudent purchase.”
Finally, dmg raised the question of what the community would prefer: “In this context – would you prefer to enter a season with less expectations or with more (clear) expectations?”
That is a very narrow and challenging balance to strike. But ultimately, they want to continuously improve Destiny.

On Twitch, a frustrated streamer tried to lecture her viewers. They should donate and subscribe to a paid membership. The clip went viral as an example of a misguided attitude. It was ridiculed by some of the biggest streamers, including Turner “Tfue” Tenney and DrDisrespect.
This was the scene: The Twitch streamer BadBunny has 92,394 followers on Twitch and primarily streams in “Just Chatting”. During a stream, she berated her viewers, saying she had given a speech about needing subscriptions, yet not a single person subscribed afterward:

There are regular viewers here. 5 DOLLARS A MONTH. How can you have enough time to watch me for hours, yet you don’t even have 5 dollars? What are you doing with your life?

In a second scene, she then states that she hadn’t received a donation or a subscription for an hour. Therefore, she had worked for an hour for free: “What the fuck?”

In the new patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth, a large part of the content takes place in the two areas of Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms. However, after the invasions were repelled, there is little left to do. While there are 4 world quests per area every day, they are not very rewarding, so many players have neglected them.
This is likely to have changed now, as Blizzard has significantly improved these quests and drastically scaled up the rewards – which makes the game even more worthwhile.
What has changed? The daily quests in Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms now offer significantly better rewards. Instead of receiving 50 Manifested Realities per quest, you now get 250 for each quest. This is an increase of a whopping 400% compared to before.
What does this mean for players? With the increased rewards, there are now 250 Manifested Realities from daily quests. This means that you can now earn a total of 2,000 Manifested Realities per day from the daily quests instead of just 400 like before.

Previously, a character needed 25 days, which means nearly one more Horrific Vision per month.

Blizzard has thus ensured that the daily quests are more rewarding and has also responded to the negative feedback that players could participate in Horrific Visions too rarely.

The “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” update 1.13 brought players a few desired bug fixes, a new weapon, but also a big error. If you’re not careful, you might lose part of your multiplayer progress. But there is a solution to the problem.
What is this error? After the Modern Warfare update 1.13, many players received a message that their update was downloaded incorrectly or the data is corrupt.
To fix the problem, a pop-up message suggests deleting all multiplayer progress. However, you don’t have to do that; apparently, there is a simple solution for the error.

How to solve the problem? Do not select either of the two points, do not press “Yes” or “No”. One of the representatives from Infinity Ward responded in the thread on reddit with the following advice:

Also on Twitter, community manager Ashton Williams regularly provided updates about the work on the error. Players experiencing the issue should restart Modern Warfare and check if the error persists.

The community of World of Warcraft has deciphered a new secret. With this, you will become a truly nasty rare mob that can kill players.
Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth has been live in WoW for a little over a week now, and players are slowly beginning to uncover the first secrets and hidden details.
The first big secret of the patch is particularly fun: It turns players into a powerful rare mob that can kill other players. But be warned: Other players can also fight back and claim the loot from the rare enemy.
What has been discovered? The community of the “Secret Finding” Discord server has found a way for players to be transformed into a rare mob. This rare enemy has special abilities and is hostile to all other players. As long as you are the rare enemy, you have a special quest that requires you to kill 10 players.
However, other players can fight back and defeat the rare mob, which grants conquest and corrupted tokens.
This is how you become the rare mob “Void Wraith” in Patch 8.3
We will tell you how to become the rare enemy yourself. To do this, you need to complete several steps. The most important of these has been possible since the launch of Battle for Azeroth.
Step 1 – Obtain the Abyssal Ether: The secret is based on an old item that was introduced in Patch 8.0. You need the Abyssal Ether for that. This is an item dropped by the Abyssal Herald. Step 3 – The transformation: Once you have collected 20 Corruption Shards, you need to find an idol. The location will not be shown to you, which is why you see several positions on the map below:
As soon as you hand in the quest and take the next quest, you will immediately be transformed into a “Void Wraith” and equipped with powerful abilities. But beware: From this moment on, other players will see you as a rare enemy on the map and can attack you as well.

Fortnite Season 1 ends on February 15
This is different now: The current season in Fortnite, Season 1 Chapter 2, started on October 14, 2019: An event devoured the map, and Fortnite was unplayable for a few days.

The season feels longer because Epic has significantly reduced the development pace with the start of the chapter: There are hardly any noticeable updates or changes to the map anymore.
Fortnite has become overall simpler and easier, while the last seasons of Chapter 1 became crazier with constantly new movement items and finesse.
Although there have been “special” events in Fortnite in recent weeks, such as the Star Wars event or the Winter Festival, that barely comforted over the long quiet period, especially since the Star Wars event also introduced some bugs.
Fortnite is catching its breath after a year and a half under pressure
Why is it taking so long this time? Apparently, a number of factors came together at Epic Games here. There was already a longer winter break in 2018, during which the constantly working developers were given a break. This is likely to be the case again:
In 2018, the “December season” also lasted longer than usual, but Season 7 didn’t start until December 6 and not as early as mid-October.
Season 1 is now also lasting longer than planned. However, it started in October, making it actually too early. Epic apparently deemed October a good time for the PR action surrounding the “black hole”.

Daybreak Games is being vague regarding the new projects. Only the Everquest team is clear that the studio will be working on a new game in the Everquest universe. What about H1Z1?
What stands out: There is no word on H1Z1, even though “Z1 Royale” was actually the last major hit from Daybreak Games, the battle royale shooter before PUBG and later Fortnite came along.
Fans of Z1 are now worried about what will happen to their game, especially since Z1 has recently experienced a resurgence on Steam after previously appearing dead.
What’s behind it: The last 5 years have been difficult for Daybreak Games, and it seemed surprisingly good at the beginning of this 5-year period.
Daybreak Games somehow struck gold with H1Z1 and was actually at the height of the battle royale hype. H1Z1 Battle Royale, developed by “PlayerUnknown”, exploded on Steam at its time.
The then head of the studio, John Smedley, had already recognized trends in 2014 that bloomed from 2016 onwards. But Daybreak was unable to maintain this lead. Their game was eclipsed by PUBG and then by Fortnite in 2018.

Live events in Pokémon GO attract thousands of players. There will be some in 2020 as well – Germany is missing from the first announcements.
These events have been announced: In Pokémon GO, the developers have announced some dates for 2020. These include three Safari Zones and another event. The events will take place across three continents.
The Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taichung City (February 6 – February 9)
A Safari Zone in St. Louis, Missouri (March 27 – March 29)
Another Safari Zone in Liverpool (April 17 – April 19)
A third Safari Zone in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (May 8 – May 10)
4 Live Events for Pokémon Trainers
This is what the live events contain: For the three announced Safari Zones, trainers will need a ticket each. When exactly these will be sold has not been disclosed by Niantic yet. However, you will be able to buy them in-game if you want to participate in the Safari Zones. The distances are relatively far, though.
The Lantern Festival event, on the other hand, does not require a ticket. It will simply take place at the same time as the Lantern Festival and include some special and regional Pokémon. Among other things, there will be an Unown with the letter “L”.
The Safari Zones will take place in parks. At all three events, there will be special Pokémon:
In St. Louis, there will be for example the Unown “S” and Chatot
In Liverpool, there will be Unown “V” and Relicanth
For Philadelphia, nothing has been announced yet.
What about an event in Germany? Germany was not included in the first round of events, but the chance is still there. After all, Niantic explicitly talks about the “first events of the year” in the announcement. It is to be expected that there will be more.
Will Dortmund get a GO Fest again?
Currently, the announcement completely lacks data for the “GO Fest”. This event series took place in many cities – including Dortmund. The city is expected to have hopes for an event again this year with its Westfalenpark once again.
