An American and Twitch streamer has sued the company behind the MMORPG Runescape because they muted him. He claims this violates his civil rights as muting restricts his freedom of speech and discriminates against him.
This is the accusation: A man from Pennsylvania, Amro Elansari, was muted by the company Jagex in a “not specified” game in March 2019. There’s strong evidence that this game is the MMORPG “Old Runescape.”
Those muted in Runescape can continue to play and trade with other players, but they can no longer use chat.
The man states that this muting restricts his civil right to free speech. He claims he has “invested” 2000 hours into the game and that Jagex dismissed his complaint about the muting without telling him why exactly.
He is now asking the court for damages in an amount deemed appropriate by the jury and for them to lift the muting.
Runescape is currently a very successful MMORPG, especially on mobile.
This is how the courts decided: A first court ruled that the man could file his case but then rejected it. The right to free speech restricts state institutions in their actions, but not private companies or individuals.
The plaintiff then tried again with another angle. Now he claimed that Jagex was discriminating against him. According to his logic, he was treated “unequally” by the muting because everyone else was not muted.
However, the 2nd court ruled that nothing in Jagex’s behavior constitutes a disregard for anti-discrimination rights. Because they protect against discrimination based on race, color, religion, or nationality. The plaintiff did not state that he lost access to Jagex’s game for any of these reasons.
Who is the man? As reported by an online site from Pennsylvania, Amro Elansari is known as a serial litigant. In the last one and a half years alone, the man has filed 10 lawsuits, 4 of which were in July 2019, including the lawsuit against Jagex.
For example, in 2016, Elansari filed an appeal after being arrested for lighting a joint at a university in front of some police officers. On Twitter, Elansari advocates for the legalization of marijuana in the state of Pennsylvania.
As PCGamesN reports, Amro Elansari is also the Twitch streamer “The420Streamer”. He has 3,380 followers on Twitch and primarily plays Runescape there. Last year, he spent 1405 hours in the game, averaging 17 viewers (via sullygnome).
This is the conclusion: Ultimately, what remains is: One can be muted in a video game without it violating civil rights.
Runescape has been on the rise again for several years, especially on mobile.
In Pokémon GO the “Lunar New Year” event is now active in January 2020. This brings some bonuses, Shinys like Magmar, and more highlights. We show you what is happening now.
This is the event: The “Lunar New Year” event started in Pokémon GO on the evening of January 24, 2020. Niantic announced this content a few days ago, and there is a lot for you to gain.
What? The Lunar New Year event 2020 in Pokémon GO How long? From January 24 at 10:00 PM to February 3 at 10:00 PM. What bonuses? Red Pokémon are found more often, wild Gyarados, red Pokémon from eggs, Flampion newly available, more chances for special candy, higher probability of lucky friends and lucky Pokémon
The highlights of the event in January 2020
We show you here what makes the event so special and why it is worth playing Pokémon GO for you now.
Increased chance of lucky friends: Niantic has already announced that the chance of lucky friends will be increased for the event. It should also be more likely to get lucky Pokémon when you trade with other players.
Trainers reported shortly after the start of the event that the increased chance was noticeable and that by opening gifts they could quickly get a lucky friend . However, it is still too early to set a value for these chances. But it is worth it for you now to open gifts and interact with other trainers.
Shiny Gyarados in the wild: On Reddit , some trainers are already reporting what monsters they can find now in the wild. There are reports of increased occurrences of red Pokémon – this was already announced by Niantic.
What many trainers might be happy about is that Shiny Gyarados is also catchable in the wild. Although it is not the strongest water attacker in Pokémon GO, Shiny Gyarados looks great. Trainer CoolestMonkeyLuL shared a screenshot of his encounter in the wild on Reddit.

Shiny Magmar: Another Shiny that you can now find in the wild is Magmar. Players on Reddit report that they were able to catch it. There is hope that these changes will remain and that these Shinys can still be encountered in the wild after the event. However, these are currently just hopes of trainers.

In addition, you can now find the Pokémon Flampion in Pokémon GO, which you should definitely get.
Legends of Runeterra begins its Open Beta and many players are still figuring out how and what they want to play. The game offers dozens of cards for countless decks. We present to you three decks that you should take a look at at the beginning.
What kind of decks are these? Legends of Runeterra has been in closed beta for some time now. Here, players already had the opportunity to create decks and try out the game. Our editor Alex already finds LoR better than Hearthstone.
The decks presented here come from famous streamers and Hearthstone professionals who already have a lot of experience with card games of this kind.
DisguisedToast is one of the players from whom these decks come.
They have only been adjusted after some beta patches. Their advantage is that you can craft most cards early and use the decks early on.
Tip: Choose a deck from our list that interests you the most and build this one first. This way, you save shards and wildcards and have a strong deck at hand even earlier.
Top Decks for the Beta
How to use the information: For each deck, we have listed the most important cards and the gameplay (or “win condition”). To make it easier for you to copy the decks, we also provide you with the deck code.
How do I use the codes? To adopt a deck, simply copy the deck code. Then select “Collection” in the game under the menu point “Decks” and click on “Import Deck” at the top left.
You can do this at any time, even if you do not own the cards. Because Legends of Runeterra treats the deck as a kind of blueprint.
Then you can see under “Edit Deck” which cards you are still missing and craft them directly with a right-click on the cards on the left in the list.
Deck 1: Aggro/Face
(Ionia/Noxus)
Who created the deck? This deck was created by former Hearthstone pro and streamer David “dog” Caero. Dog won the Masters Tour in Las Vegas in 2019 and placed fifth at the GrandMasters 2019 (Season 1) in America.
These champions are used in the deck:
Zed (1x)
Draven (2x)
Katarina (3x)
These are other important cards:
Intimidating Roar
Faerie Bladesinger
House Spider
The complete card list. Image source: invenglobal.
How does the deck work? This aggro deck works on the same principle as any face/rush deck you know from games like Magic or Hearthstone. The goal is to defeat the opponent as quickly as possible.
To do this, you rely on strong and cheap units with which you flood the board and wear down your opponent before they can defend themselves. Some combos, like with the Faerie Bladesinger, give you some stronger units for the midgame (if it comes to that).
Control cards like Intimidating Roar help you defeat opposing defenders and then finish off the opponent.
Intimidating Roar is extremely helpful when rushing.
What should I watch out for? The deck is based on you being fast. You will have problems against players who can prevent or block your attacks with spells. Especially control decks can be a challenge for you.
If you encounter such a deck, try to get into the midgame somehow and draw your opponent’s strongest control cards from their deck. However, if you haven’t won by turn 7 or so, it will be difficult.
Here is the deck code: CEBACAIDFIDQCAQGBAIRULBRHEBAEAICAILAGAIDBQKBWAQBAEBASBIBAMMSGKZWG4
Deck 2: Fioras Show
(Demacia/Ionia)
Who created the deck? This particular deck comes from famous Hearthstone streamer Jeremy “DisguisedToast” Wang. DisguisedToast is not a strong tournament pro, but is considered a strong player in the Hearthstone community.
These champions are used in the deck:
Fiora (x3)
Shen (x3)
These are other important cards:
Judgment
Counter
Prismatic Barrier
Single Combat
Swift
The complete card list. Image source: invenglobal.
How does the deck work? The deck has a completely different win condition than other decks in Legends of Runeterra or most card games. You are not trying to destroy the opponent’s Nexus, but rather level up Fiora.
Fiora’s special ability is that she simply wins the game. If one of her copies reaches level 2 and then kills 4 opponents by herself, you win the round, no matter how many health points the two Nexuses have.
To do this, the entire deck is built to protect Fiora and enable her kills.
With this ability, you win.
What should I watch out for? Fiora is your win condition in this deck. You probably do not have enough damage output to win without her effect and simply destroy the opponent’s Nexus.
You need to play all the barriers and duel cards in the deck correctly. Always strengthen Fiora so that she can eliminate an opponent as effectively and quickly as possible. Protect her from damage.
If the opponent manages to destroy a leveled-up Fiora copy, you have practically lost.
Here is the deck code: CEBAIAICCMQDOOIFAEAAGCJAEUWQEAQBAADRUAYBAIGBEMIBAMAQADY5GQ
Who created the deck? Our last starter deck comes from e-sports professional George “Hyped” Maganzini. Hyped has placed several second to eighth places in Hearthstone tournaments in 2015 and has won several Overwatch majors in 2016 and 2017.
These champions are used in the deck:
Teemo (3x)
Zed (3x)
These are other important cards:
Puffcap Merchant
Ups and Downs
Swarm of Bats
Kinkou Wayfinder
The complete card list. Image source: invenglobal.
How does the deck work? With this deck, you try to conceal as many Poison Puffcaps in the opponent’s deck as possible. This is Teemo’s special ability. The mushrooms are attached to cards and explode for damage (per mushroom) on the nexus when the card is drawn.
Teemo brings five mushrooms into the opponent’s deck when he deals damage to the nexus. The Puffcap Merchant brings three more when he is played, and the Mushroom Cloud (both Teemo’s spell and a card that creates a swarm of bats) adds another five.
The special thing is that you can summon more Teemos onto the field through the Kinkou Wayfinder. It summons a 1-mana unit, and since Teemo is the only 1-mana unit in the deck, he gets summoned.
Typically you can only play one champion at a time. However, the Kinkou Wayfinder enables double summoning. If Teemo then reaches level 2 (after placing 15 mushrooms), he doubles the mushrooms in the opponent’s deck with each nexus attack.
With Teemo’s ability, you can deal significant damage to the opponent.
What should I watch out for? Teemo is your win condition in this context, and you have hardly any other way to win. He is “untouchable,” meaning he can only be blocked by other “untouchable” units, but he also only has one health point.
Therefore, make sure to either deflect kill spells from him with “Deny” or quickly enough bring a sufficient number of mushrooms into the opponent’s deck so that you can survive and wait.
Here is the deck code: CEBAGAIEBAMTKCABAIDASCYMDQYTEOIBAMAQEAQYFYAQCAICCI
Note on Deck Building
What you should pay attention to: Our recommendations in this article focus solely on three decks that you can create early and try out. Legends of Runeterra offers many more options for building decks.
If you need more tips on cards, decks, keywords, and more, also check out our beginner’s guide for Legends of Runeterra. There we explain more about how the cards and the game work.
Best to experiment a lot yourself as soon as you become familiar with the mechanics. Use our decks as a starting point or inspiration, but do not let them stop you from building your own top decks.
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, numerous changes were made to the game with update 1.13, but not all of them were communicated. A hidden adjustment on the popular map Crash now makes it fairer.
However, there was also a change for the popular multiplayer map Crash, which came into the game with the Season 1. At first glance, this may have escaped many players. The change is indeed very small and was not communicated in the patch notes. However, this small secret adjustment now ensures more fairness on the cult map.
What exactly has changed now? Basically, not much. Only the height of a specific crate at the southern end of the map has been modified.
This position was frequently used to oversee a heavily trafficked area of the map near the crash site with the helicopter wreck.
Here is a before-after comparison:
Source: Reddit user Lumenprotoplasma
This small change leads to more fairness: This small change has significant impacts on the gameplay of the map. It fixes a popular but unfair hiding spot. This position had previously been favored for a specific reason – it is known as a Head Glitch Safe Spot.
Due to the previous height of the crate, only a small part of the head was visible from the other side. If one was on the crate, one could easily shoot at anything in the line of sight from a safe cover. However, one could hardly be hit, as very little of one’s character was visible. Often, it was only visible via the kill cam who or what got one there.
Now, it has changed. While it is still a good position to oversee the crash site, if one is now on the crate, much more of one’s character is visible. Therefore, there is now a chance to take down the enemy on the crate with some precise shots. This was hardly possible before. Therefore, things are significantly fairer on Crash now.
In FIFA 20, the Headliners event is moving to the next round and today, on January 24th, brings fresh special cards again. Which players are in the 2nd Headliners team, you can find out here.
After the first Headliners team was released last week, we are now expecting the 2nd team with new special cards in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team today.
What are Headliner cards? EA awards Headliner cards to players who have delivered strong performances in real football, especially in the first half of the season, and have often been in the headlines.
Example Headliner card Lewandowski
In addition, Headliner cards are dynamic special cards that improve like OTW cards as soon as the respective player makes it into a Team of the Week. Additionally, the cards receive an extra upgrade when the player’s team wins 4 consecutive games.
There is a lot of improvement potential in the Headliner cards.
Here are the new Headliner special cards
These are the strongest cards: The second Headliners team features some really strong cards. The special cards with the highest overall ratings are: Reus (90) and Sterling (90).
But also Aubameyang (89), Thiago Silva (89), Ilicic (88), Wijnaldum (87), and Werner (87) receive solid Headliner cards.
This is the second Headliners team:
Reus (90)
Aubameyang (89)
Sterling (90)
Thiago Silva (89)
Wijnaldum (87)
Delaney (86)
Ilicic (88)
Tagliafico (87)
Maddison (86)
Digne (86)
Capa (84)
Werner (87)
How to get Headliner cards
From Packs: With a lot of luck, you can find the new special cards in these sets:
On the Transfer Market: If you don’t want to rely on luck, it’s better to buy the new special cards on the transfer market. However, compare the prices before purchasing and wait a few days, as prices usually drop a bit.
Via Objectives and SBCs: Certain Headliner cards can also be unlocked through SBCs and Objectives.
What do you think about the Headliner event? Do you think there are too many special cards? Let us know in our Facebook group.

Fortnite has now announced an official date for the start of Season 2 Chapter 2. We will show you when the season starts and what will change.
When does Season 2 start? The official date for the start of Season 2 has been confirmed by Epic. The next season will start on Thursday, February 20, 2020, with update 11.50.
With the new season, there will also be some changes in the game.
With Season 2, Fortnite changes the engine
Fortnite changes engine: Fortnite is switching to the “Chaos” physics engine of Unreal Engine with update 11.50 (start of the next season).
This new technology is supposed to hold a lot of potential for Fortnite. However, they want to start testing with a small group of players first, as there may be problems during the initial implementation.
What new content is there?
Epic does not want to reveal the surprise of what to expect in Season 2 just yet.
What is certain is that there will be bonus challenges. They aim to bring new challenges and a new two-week event before the end of the current season.
Unfortunately, it is not yet known what event we can expect. According to Epic, we should keep an eye on the Fortnite channels on social media for more information.
Leak has been confirmed
The data miner FireMonkey had seen in the data that the end date was changed to February 20, 2020. This was previously just a leak, and the date could still have changed. However, this date has now been officially confirmed.
This means we still have about 4 weeks to wait for Season 2.
There are various reactions from players to the extension of Season 1 Chapter 2. While most seem outraged by the extension, there are also a few opinions showing understanding for Epic.
A Bungie designer has released her cool concept arts for Destiny 2. The extremely detailed images provide interesting insights into the creation of the virtual world.
What is happening in Destiny 2? Destiny 2 has a new direction. It is moving towards a constantly evolving game world. At the start of this new conceptual phase, there were a few setbacks.
The reason for the discontent was not the construct itself, but the fact that the consequences of the build simply did not match the raised expectations.
This is what makes the images special: In the recently released concept drawings, we see that very Vex portal. It is not just a mundane sketch. No, with meticulous attention to detail, the weekly progress of the construction is documented.
The interested viewer witnesses how a bare lattice structure gradually evolves into a massive, futuristic construct. While cranes transport steel beams, one can see construction workers planning or taking a (well-deserved) break.
This gives Destiny players a glimpse behind the scenes of the creation processes of Bungie’s game. Once again, it shows that the visuals of the loot shooter are beyond any doubt.
Who is responsible for the artworks? The artist Eve Campbell shared the designs via Twitter. She works as a Senior World Artist at Bungie. She notes that she does not work alone on such projects.
This is what the community says about it: The viewers have consistently positive reactions for the talented designer. Even the famous Destiny historian My name is Byf asks if he can use the artist’s work for his lore videos.

In GTA 5 Online, there was a money glitch active that flooded players’ accounts with millions of GTA dollars. They used the treasure hunt for the golden revolver for this.
This is the situation: Players in GTA 5 Online are constantly looking for new glitches that can provide them with as much money as possible with minimal effort. Such a glitch is currently THE topic in the glitching community.
On January 22, a thread appeared on Reddit and received a lot of attention right away. The promise: Unlimited money and RP!
This is how the glitch worked: The execution was quite simple. After a few preparation steps, one participated in the treasure hunt for the golden revolver, which we will show you here.
At the same time, one took on a VIP job. A problem occurred, allowing one to continuously claim the corresponding reward of a white note from the treasure hunt. There were consistently 2,000 RP and 5,000 GTA dollars – about every 3 seconds. “That’s about 800,000 RP and 2,000,000 GTA dollars every 20 minutes,” writes the creator on Reddit.
We refrain from providing a detailed guide here on MeinMMO. Exploiting such glitches puts your account at risk. You could be punished by Rockstar Games for this. We advise against using such methods.
The whole thing was even possible if you had already completed the treasure hunt on your main character. You simply used a secondary character and carried out the steps with that. Since the characters share the bank account, the loot was presumably also found on the main character.
For the players, it was a feast, as the contents of GTA Online are expensive. Usually, you have to grind a lot to afford expensive supercars like the Krieger.
Can it still be used? Probably not. Today, on January 24, players report that the glitch has been patched. Rockstar Games has likely found and sealed the corresponding security loophole. Now, it remains to be seen whether this glitch can reappear in another form.
Yet other players report that the glitch still works in their lobby. It’s quite possible that the changes only take effect in a new lobby.
What do the players say? Many are surprised that it took so long for Rockstar to solve the problem. One writes that he earned 30 million with it and jumped 400 levels.
Even without the glitch, GTA Online is really worth it this week. Check out this gift:
In Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (MHW), the celebrations for the 2nd anniversary started last night. The package of many old and new events is called “Grand Appreciation Fest”. Our author Larissa reveals to you which rewards are at the top of her farming list.
There is a lot going on in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne right now. This is not only due to the recent release for PC but also to the large number of event quests currently available. Now is the perfect time to dive back into Iceborne.
You can expect the Festival of Gratitude from last year and the new Astral Festival until February 14th. Additionally, many new and old event quests for Low, High, and Master rank, so let’s get to it!
I will also be playing a lot again for the next three weeks. There are several rewards that are of high interest to me. I prefer to collect decorative armors for myself and armor for my Palico. Additionally, charms for the weapons. I love Fashion-Hunting.
A screenshot from my Iceborne story
A decorative armor like from outer space
At the top of my wish list is of course the armor from the Astral Festival. You can obtain it if you diligently collect event tickets. As a login bonus or for dailies, you will receive Astral Tickets. With those, you can craft the Astral α+. Also the armor for your Palico and a first charm for the weapon.
For the decorative armor I desire, you need special tickets. The best way to get these 5 VIP Astral Tickets is to help out. You will join low-level quests via emergency signals. You will get VIP Tickets even faster if you craft the Astral α+ beforehand. This increases your chance of getting the special tickets. The set effect is available from 3 pieces, and it increases again at 5 pieces.
A screenshot of the Astral Armor on PS4
You will need the following materials for the Astral α+:
5x Astral Ticket
3x Gracium
5x Monster Strong Bones
2x Pure Crystal
The Astral α+ is not the best armor but requires little and is more than sufficient for Low rank. In addition to the important set bonus, it brings the following skills:
2x Critical Boost
2x Divine Blessing
3x Effective Area
2x Unfazed
2x Weakness Exploit
A pair of Wyverian ears against the cold
Your character will also look great with the Wyverian ears that can be farmed during the Astral Festival. For that, you need to embark on the quest “Flora Frostbite”.
A screenshot of the Wyverian ears on PS4
In that quest, you will collect 10 frost flowers from frozen foliage. You can best find these plants in area 15 and 7, where you also fought Velkhana.
For the Wyverian ears, you only need one Wyverian Ticket from the aforementioned quest and three large bones. Unfortunately, the ears are hardly useful for a fight with “Mycology” and “Survival Expert”. I find them extremely stylish nonetheless.
A screenshot of the Pearl Source set on PS4
A screenshot of the Crash Penguin mask on PS4
Through the event quests “Pearl Snapper” and “Crash Up”, there are even more beautiful hats to be collected. On one hand, the Pearl Source set with “Recovery Up” and the Crash Penguin mask with “Invulnerability”.
Transform your Palico into an alien
My Palico shouldn’t miss out either. I like to change its gear and colors. During the Astral Festival, you can transform your companion into an alien, and it looks super cool.
A screenshot of the Astral set for the Palico on PS4
For your Palico armor and weapon, you need the following materials:
3x Astral Ticket
3x Pure Crystal
Of course, you can change the color of the gear. In my case, it is set to black. The weapon consists of astral insects and small Palicos flying through the air.
Absolutely all new charms
This may sound crazy and meticulous, but I will again try to farm as many charms for my weapon as possible. By the way, my favorite is the talking tofu with a hat and knife from the Resident Evil crossover.
A screenshot of my favorite tofu on PS4
The Astral ornaments, as they are called during the Astral Festival, come in various versions. And I want them to match the color of my weapon.
A screenshot of an Astral ornament on PS4
New decorative armors from High-Rank
With the new event came a wave of new decorative armors. All from High-Rank. You can choose between Alpha, Beta, and even Gamma. This gives you even more possibilities to unleash in Monster Hunter World. The Vaal Hazak Gamma is very appealing to me.
A screenshot of the Vaal-Hazak decoration on PS4
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne keeps getting more decorative armors. There is great hope that equipment from the Master Rank will also be available soon. This brings us very close to our wish for a free choice of armor.
And what about Safi’jiiva?
Some of you might be thinking that I have forgotten the siege surrounding Safi’jiiva. The reason for this is that I will not be farming him. My main weapons are the bow and the light bowgun. I already have everything I wanted from both.
What kind of mission is this? However, since it is an important highlight of the event, I want to say a few words about it. As with Kulve Taroth, Safi’jiiva is a siege mission. You will fight him in 4-person teams within a session of up to 16 people.
So 4 groups can fight the red dragon at the same time. You all work together towards your progress. You can learn more about Safi’jiiva’s strengths and weaknesses in our Monster List from Iceborne.
A screenshot of Safi’jiiva from his video on PS4
What rewards are there for this quest? For completing the siege, there are Safi weapons. You can further upgrade them and equip them with various skills. For example, you can add affinity increase or attack increase.
The most interesting aspect of the Safi weapons is the essences. You can only equip one per weapon. The essences are named after monsters and bring a part of the set bonus of the respective beast with them. So if you have “Lunastra Essence” on your weapon, you need one less armor piece to achieve the Lunastra set bonus.
This gives you more flexibility in your equipment. You are no longer dependent on as many armor pieces for your set and can choose more sensible skills.
This weekend, the legendary Pokémon Latias and Latios return to Pokémon GO. We provide you with an overview of the best counters, their usability, and the Shinies.
When are Latias and Latios coming? The duo appears tonight, on January 24th, at 10 PM in the arenas. Here in Germany, that’s already too late for raids, which is why we start on Saturday. Until Monday evening, January 27th at 10 PM, the Pokémon will remain available.
To prepare you in the best possible way for the raid weekend, we will show you the best counters and provide further information about the event.
This is how the raid weekend with Latias and Latios works
This is how a raid weekend works: Such events have taken place in the past, last with Lugia and Ho-Oh.
During this time, legendary raids will appear more frequently, but not everywhere, unlike during raid hour. In addition to Latias and Latios, Heatran will also continue to be available in level 5 raids.
Latias and Latios are returning to Pokémon GO.
Use these tips: If you are still looking for shiny Latias or Latios, you should coordinate with other players. We give you some tips on how to make the most of the event:
Prepare effective battle teams before the raids, so you don’t have to do it quickly in the lobby.
Coordinate with other players who might want to raid the same Pokémon as you. Then form a team.
Try to report every raid in your community. This way, enough players can get involved, and the raids can happen. If you’re still looking for players in the area, check out our Facebook group for Pokémon GO.
The best counters against Latias and Latios
Use these types: Both Pokémon are of Psychic and Dragon type. The effective types are Ice, Dragon, Fairy, Dark, Ghost, and Bug. So you can set up broad counter teams.
Rayquaza is the top counter against Latias and Latios
Use these counters: The counters against the two Pokémon look quite similar. Therefore, we show you the 10 best counters that are useful against both monsters:
Rayquaza with Dragon Tail and Outrage
Dialga with Fire Fang and Draco Meteor
Palkia with Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor
Salamence with Dragon Tail and Outrage
Garchomp with Dragon Tail and Dragon Claw
Feraligatr with Dragon Tail and Outrage
Dragonite with Dragon Tail and Outrage
Darkrai with Snarl and Dark Pulse
Giratina (Altered Form) with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
Snorunt with Snarl and Avalanche
Dragon Pokémon are the best against Latias and Latios. The other types are not bad either and only slightly weaker.
How many players are needed? You can only defeat Latias with three players. Even with weather boost, Latias cannot be beaten in duo. To make it particularly quick, we recommend a group size of 4 to 6 players.
Latios, on the other hand, can be defeated in duo if windy weather exists. Without the weather bonus, the duo is also not possible. Again, a group size of 4 to 6 players is the best.
Shiny Latias and Latios – All info
Are the two Shinies available? Since the last return of the duo, they can also be caught as Shiny. So you can catch 3 different Shinies in the legendary raids, as Heatran is also available.
The two Shinies differ significantly from the normal Pokémon.
How good is Latias: Raids of Latias will not be very interesting except for Shinies. The stats of the Pokémon are not very good, and Latias is nothing more than a weaker alternative.
Latias is not really worth it, but Latios will be really good
How good is Latios: This is one of the best Dragon attackers in the game. While it is not as good as Rayquaza or Dialga, it has a faster attack with Dragon Claw.
The fast attack is mainly interesting for trainer battles and against Team GO Rocket. Having a good Latios in your team is therefore not a bad idea.
Along with Latias and Latios, the Lunar New Year event is also starting. We will show you all the bonuses:
Note: In an earlier version of the article, it was stated that legendary raids do not occur more frequently. This was incorrect information, and we have corrected it.
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
The LoL card game Legends of Runeterra has begun its open beta. Our author Alexander Leitsch took a closer look at the new online card game set in the world of League of Legends: He surprisingly had a lot of fun with it.
What is Legends of Runeterra? Legends of Runeterra is a card game set in the universe of League of Legends, which was announced along with 5 other titles in October 2019. In the card game, two players compete against each other, taking turns attacking or defending their Nexus.
The player who reduces the opponent’s health points to 0 wins. Decks consisting of 40 cards are used for this, with a total of over 300 cards from 6 different factions available to choose from.
Who played Legends of Runeterra for MeinMMO? Our author Alexander Leitsch enjoys playing Hearthstone on the side and follows some well-known YouTubers from the scene.
Even before the open beta of Legends of Runeterra on January 24, he closely followed the card game. Now he had the chance to try it out himself, and after a few rounds, he is fully convinced.
How was the entry into LoR? The entry into Legends of Runeterra is beginner-friendly. Even if you’ve never played a card game on the PC, you’ll find it easy to get started. Every single move is explained in detail in the tutorial.
For me, the first missions were correspondingly simple, where you have to learn the basics:
In each round, both players take turns. An action is always conducted, after which the opponent is allowed to react.
In a round, one player is always the attacker while the other can defend against the attack.
Mana points are needed to play cards, which recharge and increase with each turn. Additionally, there are up to 3 “spell mana,” which is reserved from the remaining mana.
There are different types of cards: Creatures, Champions, and Spells. Especially the powerful Champions, which consist of well-known LoL characters, impress by leveling up during combat and improving themselves.
From the very beginning, I like that Legends of Runeterra feels significantly more dynamic than, for example, Hearthstone, where you cannot react during the opponent’s turn. Although the first victories against the AI are still very constructed, they still have a certain fun factor.
After completing the first tutorial missions, I have the option to better familiarize myself with the game in AI battles or jump straight into fights with other players.
I would recommend beginners to really take advantage of all the AI matches since even special mechanics of the cards like Overwhelm, Challenger, or Tough are explained. Additionally, you will already get to know many of the Champions and cards.
You also receive many new cards as rewards, from which decks can be built.
The first battle against other players
How did my first battles go? For the first duels with other players, I used the pre-made decks. There are three available to choose from:
A deck consisting of cards from the factions Freljord and Demacia
A deck consisting of cards from Ionia and Piltover&Zhaun
A deck with cards from Noxus and the Shadow Isles
They also directly teach me an important mechanic: Decks can only contain cards from two factions of Runeterra. Additionally, I can include a maximum of 6 Champions in one deck.
In my first two rounds, I play Freljord and Demacia. And it goes really well.
Game 1: In my first match, I get the Champion Braum early in my hand and manage to level him up. He only needs to take 10 damage from the opponent.
The cool thing about it is that Braum’s ability is “Recovery.” He regenerates all his health points at the end of the turn. When leveled up, he summons a 3/3 Poro every time he takes damage. With that, I overwhelm my first opponent.
Game 2: In my second round of LoR, I win thanks to the card “For Demacia.” This grants all my allies +3/+3 for this turn. Throughout the entire match, I consistently had more creatures on the field than the opponent.
Accordingly, I simply overwhelm him with the buff, bringing his Nexus from 14 to 0 health points in one turn.
What happened next? Inspired by my victories, I switch the deck and play the first round with Ionia and Piltover/Zhaun. After all, my favorite champions Caitlyn and Jinx from LoL come from there.
Even though I have to do without Caitlyn since she is not yet part of LoR, I start optimistically in the first match. However, this time I suffer two consecutive defeats, in part because I was overwhelmed by the card “For Demacia.”
After that, I start my first experiments with my own decks.
A card selection that can be overwhelming at first
How do you build a deck? In Legends of Runeterra, everything revolves around building your own card decks. At the start, around 100 cards are directly available to me. This has to be, after all, I start directly with 3 decks of 40 cards each.
While I was initially overwhelmed by the quantity of cards, that quickly became easier. After all, I can only compose cards from two factions.
I can earn new cards in various ways:
The first new cards are obtained through a reward path. This can be completed through the tutorial or matches against other players.
Additionally, there are chests in the vault once a week, which may also contain cards.
In-game currency “Shards” can be used to craft cards directly.
If you want a specific card, you can buy it for real money. Unlike other card games, you don’t buy packs, but a wildcard directly. This can be exchanged for any card of the corresponding rarity.
My first own deck: Since I learned in the first matches that speed is crucial in Legends of Runeterra, I decide to build something like a “rush deck”: as many low-cost creatures as possible to quickly eliminate the opponent. For this, I choose Ionia and Piltover&Zhaun.
I won the first match, but lost the second. Now, I am unsure whether my deck really works or not. But I still have plenty of time to figure that out and try out new decks.
I haven’t looked into Expeditions yet. They are similar to the Arena in Hearthstone, where you have to build your deck from randomly offered cards. The entrance, however, costs either real money or 3,000 shards. I haven’t quite earned that yet.
Perfect mix of Hearthstone and Magic
What is my conclusion on LoR? After the first hours in Legends of Runeterra, I’ve concluded that I will definitely spend a lot of time on this card game.
It offers a lot of fun and dynamism through its gameplay:
You always play alternately and don’t wait a whole turn.
You can react to opponents with quick spells.
You play tactically different when you are the attacker or defender.
Champions can level up during a match, drastically changing the course of the game.
Thus, Legends of Runeterra is clearly ahead of Hearthstone for me.
However, the game is far less complex and extensive than Magic: The Gathering. That has always kept me from that card game. I don’t want to spend ages getting into it; I use card games as a fun pastime.
That’s why I never warmed up to Magic.
Legends of Runeterra is the perfect mix of both games for me:
It is easy to learn
feels dynamic
but you also have to invest time to master it in the end.
Additionally, I have the positive factor that I am a fan of League of Legends. While LoL rounds are often too long for me in between, I have now found my game with Legends of Runeterra.
How can I join Legends of Runeterra? On the official website, you can register, and starting January 24 at 8:00 PM, you can even play without an invitation.
The card game is Free2Play and is set to be released in 2020. Not only a PC version but also a mobile version is planned.
Not everyone is as convinced of Legends of Runeterra as our author:
The probably best game of 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2, was only released for PC in 2019 with significant delay. This time, the Epic Games Store seemingly could not benefit from their early access to Red Dead Redemption 2 before Steam. Apparently, several hundred thousand Steam players could wait.
That was the situation: The handling of the PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2 was strange.
For a long time, Rockstar kept PC players in the dark about whether their game would even be released for PC. When it was finally announced, the popular platform Steam was left out in the rain, as the cowboy epic would not be available there until a month later.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is only available when it’s cold.
These are the release dates:
Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on October 26, 2018, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Then there was a long silence, and there was uncertainty whether the 2018 mega hit would even come to PC
These were the results in November: According to reports from market researchers Superdata, the sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 in November on the Epic Games Store were rather weak.
Allegedly, Red Dead Redemption 2 sold only 408,000 units in the release month of November on the Epic Games Store, significantly less than Borderlands 3, which had sold 1.78 million units in its first month (via hexus.net).
RDR2 performs well since it’s on Steam
According to new reports, the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 in December on Steam has now led to an increase in sales. Sales reportedly more than doubled in December.
Since the game has been available on Steam, 1 million units were sold in December, Superdata now reports (via superdataresearch).
#5 on PC – a remarkable success.
The game ranked 5th in December 2019 among titles with the highest global digital revenues on PC, ahead of hits like Roblox or Call of Duty Modern Warfare. In November 2019, Red Dead Redemption 2 was not in the top 10 charts of Superdata.
On Steam, Red Dead Redemption 2 had an average of about 28,000 players and peaked at 55,000.
It is clear that apparently some players held out and waited an extra month to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam.
About 28,000 people were online at the same time on average.
This is what’s behind it: Some publishers currently prefer other stores to the digital sales platform Steam because they have to give away a higher share on Steam. Other stores, like the Epic Games Store, take significantly less percentage.
There is competition between the Epic Games Store and Steam for exclusive titles. This is often harshly criticized by players. Many players want to play new games on Steam because they appreciate the store and its features, and they already have their game collection there.
Moreover, the Epic Games Store is criticized for offering fewer features.
Therefore, players often announce that they will “only buy the game when it is on Steam”. However, these announcements are not always followed by action.
Tim Sweeney, the head of Epic Games, is a red flag for many Steam fans.
Normally, Epic likes to keep new titles exclusive for half a year. It seems harder for Steam fans to wait.
In the case of Red Dead Redemption 2, there was a special situation:
Epic only had a one-month advantage over Steam
the game was also available on many other platforms
players had already waited a year for Red Dead Redemption 2
It is also clear that Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 and Xbox One in 2018 was a much bigger deal that generated a lot more attention than now in 2019 with the “aftershock” on PC.
In Destiny 2, many players often find it difficult to follow the confusingly told story – or to recognize a narrative. The Destiny historian Byf describes what fascinates him about the story.
Destiny has no story? Every Destiny player knows the tiresome discussion that the loot shooter lacks a story. And objectively, even the biggest Destiny supporter must agree that the story sometimes stumbles, especially when there is no time for explanations or Bungie itself admits: “We have no idea what the Darkness is about.”
Had “no time for explanations” in part 1, the Exo Stranger.
The story of the Destiny universe is often well hidden. It is told in story fragments, item descriptions, or even outside the game. Moreover, the individual plotlines simply refuse to connect meaningfully.
Often it seems as though an exciting story is just starting to gain momentum … and Bungie hits the brakes!
YouTuber My name is Byf is the lore guru of Destiny
This is the lore expert: James Byford is well known in the Destiny community. Under the name My name is Byf, the YouTuber has established himself as “the” lore expert for Bungie’s shooter.
Here on MeinMMO.de, we have often referenced his work. He is known for untangling many of the confusingly presented pieces of lore or narrative fragments. Yes, literally untangling and presenting it to the interested Guardian in an engaging way.
In an interview with Vice, the full-time historian with the distinctive voice revealed what fascinates him about the story of Destiny.
James Byford is affectionately called “Lore Daddy”
Of dragons and misleading lore texts
This is what fascinates the expert about the story of Destiny: Byf describes his relationship with Destiny as a kind of “love at first sight”. He immediately immersed himself in the new universe. For example, in Destiny there isn’t one enemy race, but many entirely different peoples. Each brought its own background story or unique facet with it – and Byf wanted to explore them all.
The world of Destiny is like a puzzle. Solving it and discovering all the small revelations, these incredible stories – that’s what makes Destiny’s lore fans so obsessed.
James Byford via Vice.com
For the lore expert, Destiny became a “blank canvas” on which he could let loose. When you listen to Byf, it sounds as though he is going on a treasure hunt.
Only he isn’t searching for powerful weapons but for a key that opens a new door in a convoluted story. Thus, Destiny reveals more of its seemingly endless narrative riches piece by piece, with each lore fragment.

Byf’s complete summary of the Destiny story takes a solid 4 hours.
Telesto hints at the Forsaken story
These story fragments he finds particularly cool: The weapon Telesto came to Destiny 2 with the Osiris DLC in 2018. At first glance, the lore text of the exotic weapon Telesto appears quite normal.
Contingency reserves overdrawn. We underestimated nobility troth reparations. Uldren suggests that we open reintegration talks. Have you discussed endowment support? If Reef endorses support, Paladin Oran will engineer reinforcement.
Only by taking the first letter of each line of the lore text and putting them together could the actual message be deciphered.
The hidden message of the Telesto warned of the power-hungry Crow, of Uldren Sov, who at that time had been missing from Destiny for years; the last time Guardians saw Uldren was in 2015 when he disappeared in the expansion The Taken King.
With the 2018 expansion Forsaken, the assumptions of the lore experts came true. As suspected, Prince Uldren returned from the void and was the trigger for a dramatic revenge story.
Could we have prevented Cayde’s fate?
Byf recognizes Ahamkara formula in the dialogue text
During that very revenge epic, it becomes clear that the Crow Prince seems to be controlled by his sister. In the final campaign mission, a weighty statement is made offhand: “Free me, oh my brother.” While this sentence was just one of many for regular players, it made Byf sit up and take notice.
He explains that this phrase (oh…my) is associated with the Ahamkara in Destiny. These are dragons, but not fire-breathing monsters.
The Ahamkara are so-called wish-dragons and possess magical powers. These seductive djinns are actually considered to have been long extinct.
Byf predicted: The story of Forsaken will culminate in the Guardians slaying a dragon. As it turned out, he was right. He concluded his remarks by stating that by killing the Ahamkara, we only set a story in motion that had begun centuries ago and will occupy us for a long time to come.
In “The Last Wish”, we set out to slay a dragon
The examples vividly demonstrate how seemingly loose story scraps form a narrative. With the current season of Dawn, Bungie is opting for a more direct story.
Can you understand the enthusiasm for the story of the Destiny universe? Do you wish Bungie would rather finish one storyline before always starting new ones?Which 10 stories My name is Byf is particularly fond of, you can read here:
A quest line from World of Warcraft has been removed. Especially bitter: it is actually an important part of the current story …
The Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth has not only expanded World of Warcraft with some content but has apparently also removed some content. This has now been noticed by the first players who wanted to relive a popular quest line. The absurd part is that this fairly extensive quest line was only implemented in the game a few months ago. And this, when the mood is already bad.
What is the quest line about? The Quest “On the Trail of the Black Prince” told the search for the black dragon Wrathion. As Spiritwalker Ebonhorn is attacked by the Void in the Heart Chamber, Magni, MOTHER, and the player search for a solution.
You travel back and forth across the world in search of Wrathion, who has installed his agents everywhere. Along the way, you discover new records of the black dragon step by step and even have to go into the catacombs of Karazhan to find a saving potion for Ebonhorn.
Why is the quest line important? The quest connects the current events of the story and explains why Wrathion appears in the Throne Room of the Alliance in Patch 8.3. In addition, the quest line contained a lot of background knowledge about the black dragon, as it was essentially a “scavenger hunt” where you found more and more diary pages from Wrathion and learned more about his motivations and actions.
The quest line forms the basis for Wrathion to currently be able to develop a defense against the Void and the influence of N’Zoth.
Why was the quest removed? There is no exact reason for this, as there was no hint in the patch notes for Patch 8.3, leaving a lot of room for speculation.
Some players suspect that Blizzard removed the quest so that new players could catch up faster and reach the current content more quickly. Another theory is that Blizzard wanted to prevent nasty memes. It would be strange to accept the “Find Wrathion” quest in the Heart Chamber while Wrathion is standing right in that chamber.
Others suspect that the developers had actually planned more with Wrathion but had to abandon those plans to focus entirely on Shadowlands instead.
Wrathion helps us to upgrade the cloak.
Players are angry, vent frustration: This discovery is being wildly discussed in the WoW subreddit. Players are especially dissatisfied.
As vladtheimplierIII says:
I have been taking this expansion slowly, I haven’t stopped, and yet I somehow missed this quest. I’m pretty angry about it. […] It doesn’t make sense to me to remove this quest. Just make it optional. I don’t understand.
Or as Grockr puts it:
Wow. For someone like me who hasn’t played since Patch 8.0 and is just catching up on old stories (like Nazjatar) until I reach the new content, this kills any desire to come back at some point.
Other quests have been removed before: This is not the first time that such an important quest has been removed from the current addon. The quest line where you bring MOTHER to the Heart Forge can no longer be found in the game.
New players and latecomers now have to complete fewer tasks to catch up to the current state of the story – but important story elements are missing. This is especially sad when it comes to quest lines that were even partially voiced.

Place 5: Marvel’s Avengers
Platform: PC, PS4, Xbox One Release: September 4, 2020 Publisher: Square Enix Business Model: Buy2Play with Item Shop Genre: Action with Co-op Mode
What is Marvel’s Avengers? In Marvel’s Avengers, you take on the role of superheroes like Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, and Ms. Marvel.
The story revolves around the fall of the Avengers, who are now trying to save humanity despite the hatred directed at them after a disaster.
In the story mode, you switch between the roles of the superheroes and must defeat enemies in linear sections and try to reach the level end. You use your superpowers in this process. The Hulk smashes everything while Iron Man attacks in flight.
In addition to the story mode, there is the possibility of accepting missions that take you to various locations around the world. You experience these quests together with up to three other players. However, each superhero can only be represented once in the team.
Over time, you unlock new abilities and costumes for your heroes, allowing you to customize them to your playstyle.

What is the development story so far? When Marvel’s Avengers was announced in 2017, many believed it would be a Destiny with superheroes. However, the presentation of the game at E3 last year was somewhat disappointing. There was no trace of Destiny to be seen.
Marvel’s Avengers is much more a game where you experience the story alone and engage in side missions in small groups. But that can still be fun.
Anything could still happen
What is Marvel’s Avengers at best? We could expect an exciting superhero game where, after completing the story, you experience a lot of missions in teams with friends, showcasing how you have developed your Iron Man or Thor.
What is Marvel’s Avengers at worst? The game could fail to resonate with multiplayer fans due to its focus on the single-player story, which may not be enough to keep the title alive for a long time.
The multiplayer mode is essential for the longevity of the game and must therefore convincingly deliver. Unfortunately, interested players have not seen much of this so far. Perhaps the postponement of the release date by 4 months to September 2020 will make Marvel’s Avengers more appealing in the multiplayer sector.

They have done it again! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare brings a new update and doesn’t share all the adjustments with us. Here are 5 changes that were not listed in the patch notes. Two of them weren’t even mentioned.
What’s going on with CoD? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare deployed patch 1.13 on January 22 and published extensive patch notes.
However, as with previous patches, the developers at Infinity Ward fail to inform us correctly about all adjustments. Moreover, some important changes weren’t even mentioned.
Only the deleted blog post, with the update release a few days ago and now this. Is there something wrong with the internal communication at Modern Warfare?
Modern Warfare and the Communication Problems
Although the responsible parties communicate relatively often with the community and are active on social platforms, the patches often come with hidden changes. For a game of this size and relevance, this is a no-go, at least according to the YouTuber and MW expert “TheXclusiveAce”.
What changes were not or incorrectly mentioned in the patch notes? In a current, English video on the topic, “TheXclusiveAce” talks about 5 important adjustments that were either not mentioned at all or were incorrectly listed in the patch notes.
This is in the “secret” patch notes:
The expandable magazine of the RAM-7
The recoil of the FN Scar 17
Changes to specialized ammunition
Adjustment of the Crash map
Overhaul of field upgrades
Significant Changes that Were Not or Incorrectly Mentioned
What’s wrong with the RAM-7 magazine? The change did not occur. The patch notes state that the expandable magazine of the RAM-7 increases the number of bullets to 50 instead of 45. However, you’ll probably have to wait for the buff as the magazine still holds 45 bullets.
What about the recoil of the Scar? The adjustment was much more extensive than the patch notes reveal. Instead of just lowering the horizontal recoil of the first bullets in a burst, the so-called “spray pattern” looks completely different.
A change in horizontal recoil looks different. This seems more like a complete overhaul. Source: TheXclusiveAce
What’s the situation with specialized ammunition? The patch notes stated that the specialized ammunition now increases headshot damage as well. What sounds like a buff turned out to be a nerf.
Two of the best weapons for “Stopping Power” were the assault rifles Oden and FAL. With the field upgrade, these weapons could achieve one-shot kills, but only with hits to the upper chest area. However, 2 headshots were necessary to take down opponents.
It seems that the developers fixed this peculiar status and otherwise made no changes. However, now you need not just one headshot hit, but also 2 torso hits for a kill. A significant nerf that is brazenly sold as a buff.
The height difference has already had an impact. This should have been mentioned in the patch notes. Source: TheXclusiveAce
And what about the field upgrades? These extra gadgets no longer recharge through points earned with mission objectives.
“TheXclusiveAce” is not quite sure if this is an intended change or a bug. Previously, you could charge field upgrades faster by getting kills or completing mission objectives. Now it only runs with kills.
This means a lost advantage for players who focused on reaching the mission objective. This is particularly frustrating, as many players believe that too many soldiers are already prioritizing kills over the objective.
Update Came with a New Weapon and an Annoying Bug
What else did the update bring? In addition to these stealth changes, patch 1.13 came with a new weapon, the crossbow. You can unlock this rather unconventional weapon with a bit of patience easily. We have already looked at the one-shot killer and compiled a guide with setups.
The patch was massive, PC players had to download nearly 50GB and some players were then also confronted with a bug that could delete progress in multiplayer. If you receive an error message on startup, however, there is an easy way to be sure.
What do you think, why could it be that Modern Warfare often withholds some things from us?
The Twitch streamer and Fortnite pro Aydan “Aydan” Conrad (20) surprised his mother and brought her to tears. The Fortnite pro paid off his mother’s debts without telling her in advance.
This is the player: Pro Aydan Conrad is signed with Ghost Gaming and has already participated in several tournaments. He is among the best players in Fortnite who play with a controller.
Gift brings tears
What gift did the streamer give his mother? To give something back to his mother, the Twitch streamer made her a belated Christmas gift that will change her life.
He shared the happy news with her during a live stream on Twitch, via telephone, as she was in school at that moment.
Here you can see the clip where this emotional scene takes place:

The clip begins as Aydan’s mother tells him that she doesn’t need anything. He has already done enough for her. The streamer then said:
“Well, it’s too late for that now, Mom. All your student loans are already paid off.”
The mother seems not to believe it at first. She thinks it is not possible for bureaucratic reasons. However, Aydan explains to her that he spoke to the right people and everything has been settled.
“All the school costs are paid. You don’t have to worry about that anymore.”
When she realizes that her son is serious, she bursts into tears of joy. With a trembling voice, she tells a third person that her son has paid all her student loans.
Hearing his mother like this makes the Twitch streamer emotional himself. He wipes a few tears from his eyes.
Why is this gift so touching?
Twitch streamer Aydan paid for his mother’s education costs. These costs usually amount to huge sums that need to be repaid over years.
With his gift, he lifted a huge burden off his mother’s shoulders. Otherwise, she would likely have been struggling with these costs for many years.
Now she doesn’t have to worry anymore and can simply focus on her graduation.
Where did the player get his money from? Aydan has earned about $170,000 in prize money in Fortnite as a pro player (via esportsearnings).
On the Twitch platform, the Fortnite pro has established himself with 1.4 million followers. He is, therefore, a prominent figure in the Fortnite scene. Aydan also earns money as a content creator through Twitch:
He receives donations there
earns money through advertisements or various sponsor deals
additionally, money comes in through subscriptions. A Twitch subscription costs at least $4.99 per month, of which the streamer receives at least half
In Pokémon GO, there are some attack changes and corrections to the battle system. Additionally, the new attack “Flying Press” lands in the game.
This is changing in the battle system: Pokémon GO is making changes to some battle elements. In addition to corrected display errors, a new action order has also been introduced.
Charging attacks and switching the currently battling Pokémon will now be queued in trainer battles. These actions will now be activated after the end of an executed fast attack. This is to prevent overlaps.
Additionally, there were some changes to attacks as well as the new attack “Flying Press”. What does the attack do?
This is how strong Flying Press will be in Pokémon GO
This is Flying Press: After the attack was already uncovered by dataminers, it is now coming to the game. According to the blog, it will be a charging attack of fighting type. However, which Pokémon can learn it is still unknown.
In the main games, Flying Press is a dual-type attack of fighting and flying types. It is the special move of the fighting/flying Pokémon Resladero from the 6th generation, but it can also be learned by the special wrestler Pikachu.
Pikachu comes in all possible event forms. Is the next one coming soon?
Resladero is currently not in the game yet. It’s possible that a new event Pikachu is coming soon or other Pokémon will be able to learn the attack. Recently, you could catch Pikachu with a party hat.
This is how strong Flying Press will be: Dataminers have noted in the “Gamemaster Update” on Reddit that Flying Press will come into the game with a damage value of 110. “Pokefans.net” lists the attack with damage of 47.83 per second and -50% energy. Thus, Flying Press would be among the strongest attacks in the game. Whether it will change anything about the best attackers will be seen as soon as it is known which Pokémon can learn the attack.
Pokémon GO with even more attack changes
This is also changing with the attacks: Some Pokémon can now learn new attacks that can provide them with new advantages in PvP. These include:
Plusle and Minun learn the charging attack Strauchler
Lanturn learns Spark Jump
Ampharos learns Thunderstrike
Maskeregen can learn Bubble Beam
Honweisel learns Fury Cutter and Air Slash
Honweisel can make better use of its type with the new attacks
Additionally, some Pokémon are getting older attacks back that are quite strong and should make the respective monsters more interesting in PvP:
Raichu: Thunder Shock
Magneton: Thunder Shock and Charge Beam
Omot: Poison Fang
Alpollo: Shadow Ball
Hypno: Shadow Ball
Finally, two attacks have been improved. The Bug-type attack Vielender now causes more damage. The Electric-type move Volt Switch is now activated faster and generates energy faster.
The attacks could help you in the upcoming PvP league. What is behind it, you can find out here:
Happy Birthday Star Trek Online. For the tenth anniversary of the space MMORPG, we conducted an interview with the developers.
In line with the launch of the new series Star Trek: Picard, there is also something to celebrate in Cryptic’s MMORPG Star Trek Online. The game will turn ten years old on February 4th. We spoke with designer Jeremy Randall, among other things, about how the game remains current after all this time.
Mein-MMO: Throughout the story of Star Trek Online, we have experienced guest star appearances from the series. Are you planning more such appearances?
Jeremy Randall: It’s always very exciting when we get to work with real Star Trek actors. We do this whenever possible, and this anniversary is one of those occasions.
We have secured the faces and voices of various actors and are also bringing back some good old friends from the past of Star Trek Online. Keep an eye out for more info!
Mein-MMO: How difficult is it to keep a game fresh and interesting that has been running for ten years?
Jeremy Randall: Honestly, it’s a huge challenge! But it’s a challenge that my team and I gladly take on with every update. It helps tremendously that everyone involved in this project is a Star Trek fan. When you have the opportunity to expand Star Trek with your own creations or create a tribute for someone else’s creations on screen, it keeps excitement high for both developers and players.
This excitement is further fueled by the new Star Trek series of recent times – Discovery, Short Treks, Picard, and many more books and comics. Star Trek is currently enjoying a lot of attention, and being part of this family certainly helps keep our game relevant and popular.
Jeremy Randall is a designer for Star Trek Online at Cryptic Studios.
Classic Version was intended as an April Fool’s joke
Mein-MMO: Do you have any plans for a vanilla or classic version of the MMORPG?
Jeremy Randall: A few years ago, we uploaded a “classic” version of Star Trek Online on our public test server (Tribble) as an April Fool’s joke. Our players were amused, but everyone agreed that the game is now in a much better state than before. I don’t think we have any plans to present the product that we are so proud of in its modern form in an older, lower-quality version.
Mein-MMO: How will you consider the events of the new series Star Trek: Picard?
Jeremy Randall: The short answer is: “As often as we can!” The entire Star Trek Online team watches all new media content produced for Star Trek, and typically we are enthusiastic about implementing these new ideas that others have come up with for this franchise.
However, a lot of it is still in the works, and there are many unanswered questions regarding that. We have a very good working relationship with CBS and have regular discussions about a possible collaboration, but it’s still too early to make the specific details public.

Mein-MMO: There are not many MMORPGs that have been running as long as Star Trek Online. What makes your game so special?
Jeremy Randall: Keeping an MMORPG alive for such a long time is a challenge for everyone in the industry. I believe our strength lies primarily in having a game based on a very well-known franchise that has had fans and support for generations. And our development team respects and appreciates the fan community with the content we create for it.
Over the years, Star Trek Online has developed into a sort of online Star Trek convention that never ends – a space where fans can come together to play and express their love for Star Trek. In my opinion, that’s the magic that keeps an MMORPG alive – the people.
Mein-MMO: When you started Star Trek Online, did you think it would last this long?
Jeremy Randall: When Star Trek Online was first released, I was no more than an enthusiastic player. More than a year later, I joined the team that was busy with the transition to free-to-play.
Even then, I was optimistic that the arrival of a virtual world based on the Star Trek universe could survive for a long time. This is a franchise that has lasted for more than half a century! If fans and players want it, maybe our small part of this universe can also have a positive fate.
Mein-MMO: Are you planning new gameplay features or larger changes to the game that are more in line with modern player experiences?
Jeremy Randall: Expanding an MMORPG into other gameplay forms is a challenging proposal, especially in a game that has an established fan base of a decade. We want to explore new experiences in Star Trek Online, but these concepts must always balance with the expectations of our current players. If we were to make a decision that spoils their enjoyment of the game or is not in their interest, we would risk losing the great community and engaged player base we have built over the years.
Radical gameplay shifts are unlikely, but not completely ruled out. At least in the immediate future, it is much more likely that we will focus on improving the core of our gameplay and making things even more exciting, rewarding, and engaging for players with elements they already enjoy – space combat, character customization, progression – to enhance the overall experience.
Or we look for new ways to improve systems that aren’t performing well or have become outdated, so we can once again be proud to have them in the game and that players will enjoy them again.
