It has been relatively quiet about The Division 2 for some time. Recently, there was at least a major update, but aside from that, no one knew how things would proceed. Now, Ubisoft is finally talking about the future.
It went so far that players were worried about the entire franchise and feared that, for example, there would be no The Division 3.
Will there be more of The Division 2? Now, Ubisoft has at least given reassurance regarding The Division 2. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont has confirmed that there will be more of The Division 2 in 2021 and also in 2022.
What will happen with The Division 2? Recently, it was about taking down rogue agents.
The Division 2 until 2022, despite Star Wars
What exactly did the Ubisoft CEO say? During a conference call, Guillemont spoke about the future of The Division 2. Despite the development of a Star Wars title, the Massive studio is big enough to handle it.
The Massive studio is a large studio, and they are also collaborating with many studios around the world (…). You will see more of The Division this year and the year after.
Unfortunately, there were no further details on this. It may continue with new seasons. Recently, you could hunt down your old boss and take revenge in the 4th season . However, a new expansion might also be on the horizon.
So far, developer Massive has not revealed any insights. It remains to be seen what content is planned for The Division 2.
Was there any other interesting information? The Ubisoft CEO also spoke about the development of the Star Wars game. This uses the Snowdrop engine, which is also used in The Division 2. Overall, the game is still in a very early development phase.
What do you think, how will it go on with The Division 2? Are you hoping for a specific type of content, maybe an expansion?
Anime games are becoming increasingly popular in the West and are not without controversy. We at MeinMMO spoke with Crunchyroll, one of the largest publishers of anime content, about their developments, pay-to-win, and censorship.
Who is Crunchyroll? They call themselves “the world’s largest anime collection.” Crunchyroll offers the latest episodes of Japanese animes and hundreds of chapters of mangas. They are also active in gaming with Crunchyroll Games, where they publish various anime games.
Crunchyroll also ensures that anime games from Asia reach the Western world. They act as a publisher and make sure that the games are adapted for the Western market.
Which games does Crunchyroll manage? The publishers manage a variety of anime games, including a selection of mobile games like Princess Connect Re: Dive or MASS FOR THE DEAD. They also have games based on larger anime franchises such as Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes.
Who is speaking here? We at MeinMMO had the opportunity to conduct a written interview with Terry Li. He is the General Manager of Crunchyroll Games. We spoke with him about Crunchyroll’s development in the Western gaming market, their future plans and cloud gaming, as well as gacha mechanics and censorship in their games.
Hope for More Growth in Europe
MeinMMO: Why did you decide to publish only anime games?
Terry Li: In fact, we also publish non-anime games, although we primarily focus on anime and anime-inspired games because that’s where our core audience and expertise lie.
Through the rapid growth of Crunchyroll on the anime streaming side, we have built a huge audience that overlaps significantly with gaming. This audience has shown a great appetite for anime-inspired games, and we have spent the last ten years refining and improving our understanding of this space. For these reasons, we believe we are well-positioned to publish this type of games.
MeinMMO:Which anime that you don’t yet have in your portfolio would you like to release a game for?
Terry Li: That’s a difficult question to answer, as the popularity of animes changes from year to year, and with the right game mechanics and passion for game design, one can create a good game from a large number of anime – far more than there are today.
We are always looking for new game opportunities, especially around tentpole IPs [the major releases from film producers in a year] that have had multiple consecutive anime seasons aired or classic, long-standing titles that have not yet fully transitioned into the gaming space.
MeinMMO:How do you decide which games to publish?
Terry Li: That’s a great question. We go through a pretty comprehensive evaluation process of the strength of the IP, the game mechanics and design, the suitability of the genre for our audience, and the planned live services for the game.
We then assess all these factors in conjunction with our own assessment of our marketing channels, community touchpoints, creative input, and therefore determine our own ability to successfully publish a title.
One of the games by Crunchyroll: Princess Connect Re: Dive.
MeinMMO:Do developers approach you, or do you reach out to them to select your games?
Terry Li: Today, our game pipeline is created through a combination of inbound and outbound initiatives. We proactively reach out to developers and IP owners to seize selected opportunities, and we also receive a whole range of inbound partnership inquiries.
However, we are still relatively new in the game publishing space, so the way we source games is constantly changing over time.
What do inbound and outbound initiatives mean? These refer to the approaches to a customer, in this case, the developer.
Inbound initiatives occur when the developer approaches the company, whereas outbound initiatives involve the company directly reaching out to the developer.
MeinMMO: What are your plans for 2021, and how do you want to grow larger in the European market?
Terry Li: Our goal for 2021 is to pursue multiple global publishing opportunities – meaning we would publish the game ourselves instead of acting as a marketer, and we would prefer games that have a global, worldwide launch (as opposed to a limited launch in the US region).
We definitely want to have a larger presence in the European market. Europe is one of Crunchyroll’s largest growth regions outside of the USA, and it is an important pillar of the anime and anime gaming fandom. We hope to achieve more growth in Europe by striving for worldwide launches and region-specific live actions (like those affecting loot systems).
Gacha Mechanics and Pay2Win in Mobile Games
What are gacha mechanics? These features are often used in Asian games. It is somewhat comparable to loot boxes. Players spend in-game currency or real money to open boxes that contain characters, weapons, or other loot.
The catch is that you often need a lot of luck to get the desired loot. Alternatively, you have to invest a lot of money to improve your chances of getting it.
MeinMMO:Your games utilize gacha mechanics, which are often referred to as pay-to-win in the West. What do you think about that label?
Terry Li: The truth is that monetization is always a sensitive topic, as the value of in-game items or packs is perceived differently by various players. Generally, we know that gacha mechanics are very common in Japanese and Asian games, which means that they carry over to the anime games we bring to the West. Given that so many anime games are indeed based on gacha mechanics, it would be difficult to remove them and still maintain the same gaming experience.
However, we try to be careful in selecting games and work with the original developers to ensure that the gacha mechanic serves to balance gameplay progression and player engagement. Additionally, we are aware that there are restrictions on gacha mechanics in some regions (e.g., in parts of the EU), meaning we would need to consider how to adjust gameplay balance and loot systems if we were to launch there.
MeinMMO:When do you consider a free mobile game to be fair in terms of pay-to-win?
Terry Li: The answer can vary greatly depending on the game, but in my personal opinion, it comes down to accessibility. If purchasable currency primarily serves to speed up progression or the opening of packs, then it helps both new players catch up and seasoned players progress faster – meaning that everything purchasable should also be earnable.
However, if there are specific characters or items that are literally impossible to obtain without paying, meaning that you will never have access with the normal, earnable currency no matter how much you accumulate and play, then that leads to an unfair pay-to-win concept.
MeinMMO:How do you think mobile games will develop in the coming years?
Terry Li: In recent years, we have seen mobile games take on significantly more complexity – from the depth of gameplay mechanics to the length of the narratives. I expect this trend to continue. While people a few years ago viewed mobile gaming as fleeting and less involved than console or PC games, I think this trend will continue to change, and people will increasingly view mobile gaming as a core business.
Furthermore, I expect the live service aspect of mobile games to evolve to the point where the majority of successful mobile games will be inherently built around a live service.
MeinMMO:What role do you want to play in the growing mobile games market?
Terry Li: I don’t believe we will stray too far from the concept of anime-inspired games, as our goal is not necessarily to be a large game publisher but rather to offer a holistic entertainment experience for anime fans worldwide. This means that we will weigh our role in mobile anime games alongside that of anime streaming, commerce, merchandising, etc.
Of course, we will continue to invest heavily in games and strive to bring more fantastic titles to the West. But our efforts are part of a broader goal to support the growth of the anime space as a whole.
Adaptation and Differences in Asian Games
How does adaptation in Asian games work? Games that are initially developed for the Asian market often need to be adjusted in several places when transferring to the West. This is due to the presence of lightly dressed characters that are sometimes perceived as offensive in this country.
MeinMMO:You are experts at bringing Asian games to the West. What differences do you see between the Asian and Western markets?
Terry Li: I think there is a significant difference in the expectations of the player base regarding live operation support, core features, and certain monetization trends. Regarding whether gacha is pay-to-win – that’s a good example of the difference in audience reception – as gacha mechanics are very common and largely accepted in the Asian gaming world, while they often have a more negative connotation in the West and are even banned in certain regions.
There are also differences in the intensity of content within the game and the distribution of core versus casual players, which are quite different in the East vs. the West. All of these factors influence the success of a transferred game.
MeinMMO:For the Western market, Asian games are adapted, and sometimes they are altered. Not every gamer likes that, and some see it as censorship. Why does that happen?
Terry Li: That’s a good question, and the reality is that it is never an easy decision. The core of the decision is a multi-layered process.
First, we have to respect the broad fan base and know where the boundaries lie – especially regarding content perceived as offensive by certain segments, and we want to ensure that we are an all-encompassing publisher. Second, there are specific app store and legal requirements that differ for the Western market. These restrictions often dictate the extent to which we need to ensure the appropriateness of the content we publish.
So it’s a balancing act between adapting to operational requirements and maintaining the authenticity of the original experience.
MeinMMO:Cloud gaming is currently a big trend. Are you also planning a cloud-based solution for your games?
Terry Li: Since the cloud-based solution has so far been more of a development on the developer side, we as publishers with customer contact have not strongly aligned our roadmap with this concept. We will continue to observe the trends, and I am sure this topic will keep coming up as we publish more games.
MeinMMO: Thank you for the interview!
What do you think of Crunchyroll’s statements? Can you understand that gacha mechanics and censorship in anime games are so widespread in the Western market? Let us know in the comments!
If you want to read more about anime games, we recommend our list of the best games in the genre:
In Call of Duty: Cold War, you can now play in the “League Play” mode. However, you will have to forfeit 12 weapons. MeinMMO shows you which ones they are and why they have been locked.
What kind of mode is this? League Play, or in English “League Game,” refers to the ranked matches in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. First, you must complete five placement matches. Based on your performance in these matches, you will be placed into different divisions where opponents have a similar skill rating to you. If your performance improves, you will rank up.
But don’t lock yourselves into your favorite weapons for this mode. The weapon arsenal in League Play has been reduced by a third. Why?
That’s why some weapons are missing in League Play
These are the rules: All game modes in League Play for Cold War are played according to the official rules of the Call of Duty League (CDL). This affects the maps being played, as well as weapons and attachments.
These weapons are banned: The following weapons are listed by the CDL as banned:
All LMGs (Stoner 63, RPD, M60)
All Tactical Rifles (Type 63, M16, AUG, DMR)
All Shotguns (Hauer 77, Gallo SA12)
All Launchers (Cigma 2, RPG-7)
All Special Weapons (M79)
No one can include these 12 listed weapons in their loadout in the League Play of Cold War. There are a total of 31 firearms + 3 melee weapons in Cold War. So about a third was locked.
In the following overview, you can also see which other equipment, attachments, perks, scorestreaks, and wildcards are banned in League Play:
This is standard in CoD: As PCGamer reports, it is normal for a Call of Duty to ban weapons in competitive play and ranked mode. Although one would expect that they could also be balanced.
During the Call of Duty League 2020, over 20 weapons were banned (via gfinityesports). Launchers, shotguns, and DMRs were already in focus for bans. In League Play, players are apparently supposed to focus on mastering the essential weapons.
What do you think of these rules? Do you find it good that there is only a limited selection of weapons in the League Play of Cold War, or should the developers balance it more and unlock all weapons for you? Please share your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss it with other players.

Originally, Blade & Soul 2 was supposed to be released as a mobile MMORPG. However, NCSoft has now decided to release the online role-playing game for PC.
What is Blade & Soul 2? The MMORPG is the sequel to the 2012 (in Germany 2016) released martial arts MMORPG Blade & Soul. In the continuation, you will explore a vast world consisting of two continents. Each continent is divided into several zones.
In these, you can expect many quests and challenges as well as secrets. If you solve these mysteries, a complete picture of the zone gradually emerges, which brings you the story of this zone. Simply exploring the game world is meant to be an adventure.
Combat is at the center of the player experience. There are no classes. Your weapons determine your playstyle. Martial arts are once again the focus. You will be able to jump very high and even fly, which will be incorporated into the battles. This means you can fight while airborne.
It is even important to switch styles, i.e., weapons, during battles to respond to changing situations. You must rise to mastery in more than just one weapon category.
In the trailer, you can see how good Blade & Soul looks:

What is special about the game? PvP plays an important role. You challenge other players to duels or participate in team fights. NCSoft is even already planning large e-sport tournaments for Blade & Soul 2.
Boss fights in dungeons require cooperatively acting groups that must develop tactics together to defeat these bosses. These boss fights are part of international, social challenges. This includes, for example, the world-first kill or that a group is the first to complete a raid.
Blade & Soul 2 is expected to be very large internationally due to these challenges and the PvP.

A former employee of Riot Games (League of Legends) has sued CEO Nicolo Laurent for sexual harassment. His own assistant says: The CEO had allegedly harassed her multiple times over the years, and she was fired when she refused to engage in an affair with him. Riot Games states: The woman was terminated due to a multitude of complaints.
These are the allegations: Sharon O’Donnell is a former employee of Riot Games. She worked for nearly three and a half years as an “Executive Assistant” for Nicolo Laurent.
The former employee filed a lawsuit for sexual harassment on January 7th at a court in LA County (via documentcloud.org). She is seeking damages. The US site Vice has now picked up and made public these allegations.
Among the allegations are:
Laurent allegedly invited O’Donnell to his home while his wife was away – reportedly using the term “cum,” which clearly sexualizes the invitation.
The CEO allegedly discussed the size of her underwear with her.
He allegedly told her that his wife was jealous of beautiful women.
He allegedly complained about her tone and told her to behave “more feminine.”
Laurent allegedly advised female employees to have a child to cope with the stress from Covid better.
Riot Games reportedly has a “male-dominated culture.” Female employees are said to be discriminated against, harassed, and treated as second-class citizens. There are very few female executives at Riot Games.
What was the outcome with the employee at Riot Games? The complaint states: When the employee did not respond to these advances, it allegedly led to her termination. After she refused to “cum” at the boss’s house, her treatment became hostile and aggravating. She was yelled at, had tasks taken from her, and ultimately was fired.
She believes that her termination was wrongful and that it was due to her refusal to engage in an affair with the CEO.
Additionally, she was not paid for all hours worked and was not allowed meal breaks.
The employee states that she is now receiving medical treatment due to the sexual harassment.
Riot Games denies the alleged reason for the termination
This is what Riot Games says: The LoL developers state in a statement to Vice: They are investigating the allegations, but for now, Laurent continues to work as normal. Since the allegations concern the CEO, a special committee is overseeing the investigation being conducted by an external law firm.
The CEO has assured full support and cooperation.
One thing Riot Games can already say: The employee was terminated 7 months ago due to “many well-documented complaints from a variety of people.” Any other claims are simply false.
On her social media channels, O’Donnell shares many articles about women in leadership positions and about sexual harassment.
How does O’Donnell appear publicly?? According to her LinkedIn page, Sharon O’Donnell worked as “Executive Assistant to Chief Executive Officer” at Riot Games from October 2017 to July 2020 (via linkedin). This would be a position that was previously referred to as a chief secretary.
On her Twitter page, she describes herself as “Beautiful, thick-skinned, former Executive Assistant at Riot Games, fired in July 2020 for having a ‘tone’ problem” (via twitter). On Twitter, she shares articles about women in leadership positions and articles about incidents of sexual harassment, especially at Riot Games.
During the time Sharon O’Donnell was at Riot Games, additional allegations were made against the LoL developers. They are said to have created a misogynistic climate:

What is special about the game? The next patch of World of Warcraft will be a “only” a small 0.5 patch, but the update 9.0.5 is significant. PvE players are happy.
Acquiring loot in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is a controversial topic. Although the big treasure chamber in Oribos combats the issue of loot scarcity, many players are dissatisfied. Especially “Mythic+” dungeons often feel not worthwhile, as the loot at the end is way too weak. The next patch brings a solution and allows a resource to return that players have demanded for years: Valor Points.
Upgrading items with Valor Points: The new system of patch 9.0.5 will allow you to gradually upgrade loot you receive in “Mythic+” dungeons. Thus, even an item that may seem useless at first glance with item level 200 can be interesting and be improved to item level 220. This means the loot will almost compete with rewards in the Mythic Castle Nathria, and in some cases may even be equal or better for certain specializations.
You will soon be able to upgrade the loot – because Valor Points are coming back.
How to get Valor Points? Valor Points are a currency that many players might still recognize. In Shadowlands, you will be able to earn them after the release of patch 9.0.5 at the end of Mythic+ dungeons and from the callings. There will be a weekly cap, so you can only farm a certain amount of Valor Points each week.
How far can you upgrade equipment? This depends on an achievement that each character needs. Depending on how well you do in completing “Mythic+” dungeons, you can upgrade items with Valor Points to different extents. The limits are as follows:
Without achievement: Those who have no success can upgrade items from Mythic+ dungeons up to item level 200.
Key Stone Explorer (new achievement): Those who have completed all dungeons at M+5 in time can upgrade items up to item level 207.
Key Stone Conqueror: If you complete all dungeons at M+10 in time, the upgrade cap rises to item level 213.
Key Stone Master: Those who complete all dungeons at M+15 in time can upgrade their items up to item level 220.
It is rare for opinions about a change to evoke so many positive emotions and to have only positive comments dominate. Criticism is virtually nonexistent; PvE players seem to be thoroughly satisfied. In the subreddit, players are currently praising. Here are some excerpts:
This is not coming in patch 9.1. It is coming sooner.
This is already the second time I was pessimistic about a design direction in Shadowlands, and they threw it back in my face and said: ‘Nah, you are wrong.’
As someone who has enjoyed M+ in this expansion more than in previous add-ons, this is really the cherry on top, and I can wish for nothing else. God, the best expansion in a long time.
In Destiny 2 Season 13, the Season of the Chosen, has begun. And traditionally, with the new season come new exotic weapons and armor in the game. MeinMMO shows you which new Exotics are already known, how to get them, and what else might be coming.
This season revolves around another confrontation with the Cabal Empire, during which we will face a new warlord of the space turtles – namely Empress Caiatl, daughter of Emperor Calus himself.
In this context, there are also traditionally fresh toys for the Guardians – including exotics. Below we summarize which new weapon and armor Exotics your Guardians can earn during the Season of the Chosen.
New Exotic Weapons in Season 13
Currently, only one new exotic weapon is officially known. However, there are already concrete hints at another weapon Exotic that is likely to appear during the new season.
The new Solar Bow
Ticuus Divination – Bow
What can this weapon do? The new bow is carried in the special slot and deals Solar damage.
Its exotic perk “Holy Flame” fires multiple tracking projectiles from the hip. Targets marked with these projectiles explode upon death or when hit by another Holy Flame explosion.
The weapon is rounded out by the perk “Causality Arrows”. Arrows fired through the targeting system cause Holy Flames to explode immediately.
How do you get this Exotic? You can obtain Ticuus Divination through the new Season Pass of Season 13.
Buyers of the Season Pass can get the bow at level 1.
Through the free reward branch, the Exo can be obtained at level 35.
How to get the exotic masterwork catalyst: You will receive the corresponding quest from Weapons Master Banshee-44 in the Tower shortly after obtaining the weapon itself. Banshee will then be marked with a blue quest marker. Once you have completed the tasks, you will be given the catalyst. You then need to level it by defeating 700 enemies with it.
As a masterwork, the bow receives the additional perk “Causality Quiver” through the catalyst. Perfectly drawn arrows causing Holy Flames to explode increase arrow damage. When hitting targets not affected by Holy Flame, this refreshes the duration of the Causality arrows.
Scout Rifle by Tex Mechanica
Officially, there is basically nothing known about it yet, but it looks like this season a new weapon Exotic will enhance the Guardians’ arsenal – namely a new scout named “The Dead Man’s Tale”. This is at least suggested by a data find.
Bungie itself has already teased a secret Exo quest in the roadmap for Season 13. This seems to be associated with the manufacturer Tex Mechanica, known for its hefty cowboy guns like The Last Word, Huckleberry, or Chaperone.
The weapon found in the data, or better said its ornament, fits perfectly into the picture.

What can this weapon do? This is currently unknown. All that is known is that it will be a scout rifle. The speculation about the return of “The First Curse”, also a weapon from Tex Mechanica, seems apparently not to be true.
How do you get this Exotic? It seems this new scout rifle will come through its own exotic quest, which is likely to start on March 16, 2021.
On that day, according to the data, the corresponding ornament should become available in the Eververse for the first time. So far, ornaments for corresponding weapons have always been released on the same day when the quest for the weapon itself went live, or on the day when the weapon could first be earned.
New Exotic Armor Pieces in Season 13
So far, 3 new armor Exotics are known – one for each armor class. Currently, there is no indication that more exotic armor pieces will be introduced during Season 13.
How to get the new armor Exos: All 3 following Exotics can be obtained as a random drop from Lost Sectors (at Legend and Master difficulty), when you solo master these activities.
Omnioculus – Hunter Chest Piece
What can this Exotic do? This is aimed at Nightstalker Hunters.
The wearer receives a second smoke bomb charge and has damage resistance when invisible.
If the wearer makes an ally invisible, they gain damage resistance while invisible, and the wearer gains melee energy.
Cloak of Harmonious Combat – Warlock Chest Piece
What can this Exotic do?
This cloak grants you super energy from final blows with weapons that deal damage types matching your focus element.
When your super energy is full, instead you gain a temporary weapon damage bonus that matches your focus element.
This Exo can thus be used by all Sub-Focuses of the Warlocks
Chest of the Falling Star – Titan Chest Piece
What can this Exotic do? This Exo is intended for Arc Titans using the Rocket Code.
The chest piece significantly increases Thundercrash impact damage.
Additionally, as a wearer, you gain an overshield that lasts longer the farther you move before hitting a target.
What do you think of the new Exotics of Season 13? Is there anything you absolutely need and are eager to try out? Or do these Exos leave you completely cold? Let us and other readers at MeinMMO know in the comments.

Blizzard has dug into the treasure chamber and found some almost “antique” images of Warcraft. Interesting how Azeroth was supposed to look in the past.
World of Warcraft has now been around for more than 16 years, making it one of the longest-running and most successful MMORPGs of all time. As Blizzard is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, they have dug a little into the company’s treasure chambers and unearthed some details from a time when World of Warcraft was still in its infancy. The finds were published by the Twitter account of WoW, evoking quite a few nostalgic memories.
First Map of Azeroth
One of the finds is an original map of Azeroth, designed by Chris Metzen in 1999. Metzen was the creative director at Blizzard at the time and played a significant role in shaping the Warcraft universe.

The map largely corresponds to what can still be explored in WoW today. The Eastern Kingdoms, Lordaeron, Quel’Thalas, and Northrend have maintained their approximate positions and are represented as such in the game.
Kalimdor, on the other hand, looks quite different. While some details, such as the location of Hyjal, are still present, many other things have disappeared. The former “Dark Elves” have been renamed Night Elves, and the “Sunken Lands” are likely the Broken Isles, which have also shifted their position somewhat. The point marked “TOS” is, by the way, the Tomb of Sargeras, and the rough position is accurate.
Undermine, a metropolis of goblins, never made it into the game.
A fun detail: Northrend was supposed to be called “Northrond” at one point but was later renamed.
Dwarves Were Even More Compact
Another find is a very early concept drawing of the Dwarves. Even back then, technically savvy, they came with sunglasses and binoculars to detect dangers near their mountains early on. Long beards and large axes were already part of their design.

In terms of body size, the dwarf in the artwork still resembles a gnome; everything seems a bit more compact than in the later implementation of Warcraft III or World of Warcraft.

The most interesting find might be a screenshot from a very early prototype of World of Warcraft. It shows a male human in front of an inn. The model of the humans was significantly revised before the release, as was the entire graphic style. In the shown image, World of Warcraft has almost a more realistic graphic style, which was later replaced by the comic graphic that fans worldwide appreciate today, ensuring that WoW still looks solid after 16 years.
The user interface was also still very minimalistic at that time. There were not many more than a few buttons for spells. The character window also did not provide much information about the precise values.
In Pokémon GO the big Kanto Tour is coming soon. Now the developers have released more details on how the event will unfold.
Here’s what it’s about: The Kanto Tour is a special event in Pokémon GO that starts on February 20. The monsters of the 1st generation are in the spotlight – including their shiny versions. Among other things, 7 new shinies will come to Pokémon GO.
One of the shiny monsters is Mew, which you can obtain through a special research task. Niantic has now revealed that and some other details.
How to get Shiny Mew
This is how the special research works: If you decide to participate in the Kanto Tour with a ticket for 11.99 euros, you can expect a special research event. It focuses on Kanto Pokémon and also features a shiny Ditto. You will receive this once you have completed the special research.
The Kanto Tour brings new shinies – including Mew
Once you have completed the special research, you will unlock another series of tasks: The Masterwork Research. And it is quite a challenge. Among other things, you need to:
Obtain the Platinum Kanto Medal
Reach level 40
Catch 30 Pokémon of all types
Spin 151 different PokéStops
Cover 151 kilometers
These may be quite tough hurdles for some players. But: At the end of the Masterwork Research, you will receive shiny Mew.
Schedule for the Kanto Tour
When does the Kanto Tour take place? The event on February 20 runs from 09:00 to 21:00 and is divided into several time blocks, each featuring different Pokémon. This is somewhat reminiscent of the habitats from GO Fest, except that only Kanto monsters are in focus here.
The blocks are assigned to locations from the original games. The active block will be indicated not only by the spawns but also by the game music: it will vary depending on the block and will be reminiscent of the original games. The schedule looks like this:
Why the schedule is important: During the event, there will be a total of 10 collector challenges. 5 of them are also assigned to the locations, meaning:
Pallet Town
Cerulean City
Vermilion City
Fuchsia City
Pokémon League
You will encounter the necessary monsters in the respective time periods.
Depending on the edition, the spawns differ
In addition, there will be 5 more collector challenges that relate to your style of play. You will catch monsters through:
Raid Battles
Research
Evolution
Red (Trade) or Red (Incense)
Green (Trade) or Green (Incense)
The two edition-specific tasks can only be solved to some extent alone. Depending on whether you choose Red or Green, you will have different spawns in the incense – and may need to trade monsters with other players.
In ARK: Survival Evolved, the “Love Evolved 2” Valentine’s event for 2021 is coming up. Here you will find out what to expect for Valentine’s Day in the Dino survival MMO.
When does the Valentine’s Day event start? Love Evolved 2 begins on Thursday, February 11, and will run until Thursday, February 18, 2021. In ARK: Survival Evolved, Valentine’s Day arrives a bit early and lasts a whole week.
As in the Valentine’s event 2020, ARK has some bonuses to offer that you can secure during the event.
What to expect in Love Evolved 2
These bonuses come with the event: Firstly, you can focus on catching the Coelacanth fish while fishing. It can bring chocolates and candies when you catch it. You can use those, for example, to color your Dinos appropriately for Valentine’s Day.
During the event, there are also 7 new colors that wild creatures can have:
Lavender
Cream
Medium Lavender
Peach
Deep Pink
Light Pink
Dark Red
Additionally, there are the colors Red, Magenta, Light Red, and White.
Moreover, there are various bonuses during the event. On the one hand, the taming rate is increased threefold, just like the XP you can collect. Additionally, dinosaurs breed three times faster and grow more quickly, and the eggs also require a shorter time to hatch.
New Chibis: The event also includes a total of 5 new Chibis. These include:
Crystal Wyvern
Mesopithecus
Otter
Enforcer
Velonasaur
In addition, there are some new skins you can secure. Among other things, you will find Valentine’s-themed shield or sunglasses skins, new clothing, as well as teddy grenades. Items such as the chocolate box and Valentine’s candies are also returning, and there is the “Flirty Emote”.
Blizzard celebrates its 30th birthday. To celebrate this, an emotional trailer was released that showcases the best moments. However, some players are reacting with frustration.
While the trailer on YouTube is quite liked by many, the comments are rather negative. It shows that some players are frustrated about the situation surrounding Blizzard. But first, watch the trailer here:

The trailer is well made, but it doesn’t make everyone happy.
30 Years of Blizzard evokes not only positive memories
How fans are reacting: The video has received around 4600 likes and around 1600 dislikes (as of: 09.2. 18:01) from more than double the viewers positively rated on YouTube, thus it is well received by most players. For many, the trailer evokes numerous beautiful memories, as users clearly express in the YouTube comments:
Byron Vorster writes: “I am proud to have been part of this journey for over 20 years. Thank you, Blizzard, for all the games you have made!”
Johnny Tsunami writes: “Thank you for all the adventures and memories… the world is a better place because of Blizzard.”
However, most comments you come across speak a different language. They consist of numerous angry fans. The criticism is mostly related to the publisher Activision. Many players wish for the “old Blizzard” to return. The name of the trailer is also not well received in the comments.
DiamondDog001 writes: “I hope that Blizzard can find a home away from Activision.”
Old Elhorgus writes: “The last 10 years felt more like a broken house.”
Other comments criticize the layoffs of 800 employees in early 2019. Users like Crazozourus write: “We [Blizzard, note from the editor] sent 800 of our employees home and told them not to come back.”
How will the 30th anniversary be celebrated? As mentioned above, the BlizzCon will take place from February 19 to 20. How exactly it will happen is not yet known. What you can expect is summarized in our special: BlizzCon 2021: What can we expect from our games?
The event is not only a celebration of the anniversary, but also a replacement for the canceled BlizzCon 2020, which was canceled due to the Corona pandemic. The event will be free for all players.
Additionally, Blizzard announced special anniversary collections that bring various in-game items for games like WoW, Overwatch, Diablo 3, and Hearthstone. You can find all the information on this at MeinMMO.de: Blizzard sells the anniversary collection for 60€ – what’s included?

In Destiny 2, the Weekly Reset today, on February 9, 2021, marks the beginning of the new Season 13. We at MeinMMO will tell you what the Season of the Chosen brings and take a look at the weekly tasks.
Don’t be surprised that today’s reset is a bit shorter than usual. That’s because we need to take a closer look at the new seasonal activities and quests.
The most important things to startthe new Season: Season 13 welcomes you with a story about the unyielding Commander Zavala and the Cabal. Until May 11, you’ll mainly be dealing with the turtle aliens and the probably ugliest princess in the universe.
Additionally, you can expect right at the start today:
The seasonal Battleground activity is supposed to be available right at the Weekly Reset. Here you will team up in groups of three (with player search) to battle the Cabal.
Today, you should also be able to start a quest while you continue to improve your nasty Stasis powers and find new fragments.
We already know that two fresh Strikes await you right at the start of the season, which veterans will know from Destiny 1. A completely new Strike will follow later.
You can look forward to a new season pass that needs leveling up and gives paying Guardians a new exotic immediately (Free2Play players unlock it at level 35). What the bow “Ticuus’ Prophecy” has in store for you will be revealed soon on MeinMMO.
Playlist Strikes are available with the following modifiers:
Solar Burn
Momentum
Iron
It should be noted here that the Burn modifier does not change throughout the week. The other modifiers, however, rotate daily.
The S.A.B.E.R wants to make its mark in Destiny 2’s Strikes
Crucible: These playlists and modes can be played in PvP:
Private Match

These are the sources for Powerful Loot in Season 13 of Destiny 2
Next week you will find the sources for powerful loot and top-tier gear here again, which will bring you to the new power level of 1,310.
In the meantime, take a look at the new seasonal challenges. They are meant to guide you through the Season 13 content and replace the weekly bounties:
In Destiny 2 today, on 09.02., Update 3.0.1 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, as well as on PC and Google Stadia kicks off Season 13. The patch brings many revisions, new content and fixes to the game. MeinMMO provides you with an overview.
This is on the agenda: Starting this evening, Guardians can dive into the Season of the Chosen. This is the first new season since the “Beyond Light” expansion (2020), during which Season 12 ran concurrently.
Update 3.0.1 is now live on all platforms. On PS5, it is 4.7 GB.
But before you take on the Cabal and collect new exotics, you must download Update 3.1.0 and also take a mandatory break during the maintenance.
MeinMMO updates this article throughout February 9 to keep you up to date. Additionally, there will be a preview of the numerous changes, fixes, and later the official patch notes.

There may be some inconsistencies in seasonal activities such as the H.E.L.M., the Trial Hammer, or the Battlegrounds. Additionally, you should ensure that you always have a free inventory when collecting rewards. Furthermore, whichever account you log in to first will also receive the season pass – interesting for those who play or plan to play via crossplay.
Maintenance on 09.02. – Everything about the process and server downtime
These are the important times:
17:00 German time, maintenance work begins in the background.
17:45 the Destiny servers go offline. If you are still in the game, you will be removed from all activities and cannot log in anymore.
From 18:00 the Update 3.1.0 goes live on all platforms and in all regions.
Once you have downloaded (and copied) the update, you can log in and play the new Season 13 of Destiny 2.
19:00 the maintenance work should be completed as planned.
Whether we like it or not, we are at war with the Cabal
Please note: In the past, it has taken a bit longer for the servers to actually come back up and for the update to be downloaded.
As always, it also applies: until the maintenance is completely over (19:00), there can be login issues and queues. Third-party applications or the official companion app cannot be used properly during maintenance, and some functions are limited.
What changes today in Destiny 2 with Update 3.1.0
These revisions are coming: At the start of a new season, traditionally nerfs and buffs in Destiny 2 are expected. This time, among other things, rocket launchers are the winners, and swords are the losers. Here you can take a first look at the new weapons and loot from the Season of the Chosen:
What is in the patch notes? Bungie publishes the official patch notes with each update. It includes the complete list of all changes in the respective patch.
Until the German patch notes are published, we have linked the original English change log for you here:
The community manager Dylan “Dmg04” Gaffner noted that a part of the patch notes is still missing and will be added soon.
Are you already excited about Season 13 or are you not really impressed by what has been shown so far? Which change do you find meaningful and where has Bungie gone overboard? Let us know and the other Guardians in the comments.
The MMORPG Black Desert is undergoing a leadership change: Developer Pearl Abyss will soon self-publish the online role-playing game. To ensure clear transparency, the developers are explaining the actions that can lead to permanent bans. Exploiting bugs or real money trading isn’t sufficient for a permanent ban, but one should definitely keep their hands off the servers. Macros can also be dangerous.
Why is something changing at Black Desert right now? The MMORPG Black Desert has been available in Europe since 2016 and is now released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, it has been distributed by Kakao Games all this time – that’s about to change. The development studio Pearl Abyss will take over the publishing starting February 24, then they will assume “service responsibilities.”
The developers have responded immediately, outlining what changes will happen in Black Desert. One aspect is the ban policy. Here, they want to be transparent and clearly tell players what can lead to permanent bans.
Macros and everything related to the servers are dangerous
What leads to permanent bans in Black Desert? Pearl Abyss states: The following offenses can lead to permanent account suspensions. In particularly severe cases, they even threaten with “IP and hardware” bans:
Account theft, payment theft, and identity theft – Stealing accounts or account data will be punished with the harshest penalties. Even if one gains access to someone else’s payment methods, a permanent ban is imminent.
Fiddling with the data – Anyone who tamper with Pearl Abyss’s data in any form will be banned. This also applies to individuals who attempt to extract non-public data.
Attacks on the server or client manipulation – Anyone attacking Pearl Abyss’s servers will receive a permanent ban. Anyone who misbehaves on the servers is liable.
Botting – Anyone using multiple accounts through a system to gain an advantage will be banned. This also applies if the account was part of a bot network.
Crimes – Anything that is legally prohibited can lead to a permanent ban – especially if third parties (such as the police) investigate.
The creation of unauthorized programs and macros – Distributing programs and macros that disrupt server protection or interrupt normal operation can lead to bans. This point is broadly defined: If the company’s systems register that “unauthorized” programs and macros are being used, a permanent suspension of the account is threatened.
Cheating and exploiting result in “only” temporary bans
What are less severe offenses? Pearl Abyss also lists a number of offenses that they apparently don’t find quite as severe and will only penalize with “warnings” and “temporary bans.” These include:
Fraud – For example, pretending to be a Game Master
The trade of real money
Exploiting bugs
Gaining unfair advantages by being in a group or guild with a cheater
Cheating
Boosting
Spreading false information
Gambling
Abnormally using the market to transfer silver from account to account
Price manipulation
or using an inappropriate name, whether it is offensive or pretending to be a Game Master
Pearl Abyss announces that they will use a special program “Pearl Protect” to identify users of macros who go overboard. They aim to bring this to the EU/North America.
Black Desert is an MMORPG notorious for allowing many players to play AFK, as one can progress in-game without actually playing. Players often do this using macros. Some new measures seem to be aimed at combating this.
According to LeagueOfGraphs, his win rate is modest. Even in ranked matches at Platinum and above, he only wins 49% of his games. Therefore, the new champion is not inherently overpowered and is not a guarantee for victories.
Faker narrowly survives 4v3, utilizing several dead champions to his advantage
What can be seen in the clip? Faker fights in the middle with the champion Viego against a Cassiopeia. During the battle, he receives support from his bot lane while Cassiopeia gets help from the top lane and the jungle. This develops into a 3v3, and later even a 4v3.
At the end of the prolonged battle, only Faker and his top laner remain. This was also due to his bot lane being somewhat clumsy in the fight under the tower. You can see the clip here:

How does Faker do it? He first jumps onto Cassiopeia with his “W” and uses his “Q” and ultimate to kill her. After that, he takes over Cassiopeia’s abilities with his passive.
With these abilities, he fights against the top laner Aatrox, who after a teleport kills both of Faker’s teammates and brings him down to low health. However, the pro can save himself by using his ultimate again and jumping away while transforming back into Viego.
After Gnar joined Faker as additional help, he decided to re-enter the fight and attack Aatrox and the enemy Graves.
By defeating Aatrox, he once again took over his abilities and stunned Graves. Finally, he transformed back, avoiding potential damage from the tower.
What does Faker show with the video? The champion Viego has a lot of potential, but many decisions must also be made. After each kill, there is a chance to assume the abilities of the killed champion, thereby bypassing cooldowns and dealing surprising damage.
At the same time, however, you do not gain more health points and must handle them carefully.
Currently, Viego is still banned in competitive League of Legends. New champions are not released there until a few weeks after their debut. However, many indications suggest that Viego will always be played or banned in future tournaments.
In tournaments, junglers are currently generally too strong. This was already demonstrated during the 2020 World Championship. Therefore, the developers are planning an adjustment:
In Pokémon GO there is a first teaser for Shiny Ditto. It gives a first glimpse of the possible catching method of the monster.
This was teased: On Twitter, Niantic published a hint image. It shows the moment when a Pokémon transforms into Ditto. The classic “Oh?” is shown in yellow.
Many trainers see this as a hint towards Shiny Ditto. The Pokémon will be released at the latest during the Kanto Tour, but now there is the first glimpse:

Pokémon GO will publish more information soon. We will keep you updated here on MeinMMO.
Shiny Ditto for the Kanto Tour – How could it be catchable?
This problem exists with Ditto: So far, Shiny Ditto could not be caught in Pokémon GO. Ditto never appears in its form in Pokémon GO, but first appears when you have caught a matching other Pokémon. The other Pokémon then sometimes transforms into Ditto – but not always. The overview of all Pokémon that can transform into Ditto can be found here:
Since you cannot recognize whether the monster will become Ditto when catching it, you also cannot recognize whether you can catch a Shiny Ditto.
Now the question arises: Is the Pokémon that becomes Shiny Ditto also Shiny? Or do you actually only recognize Ditto’s Shiny form when the “Oh?” is in another color?
Ditto is one of the Shinys that will come to the game at least during the Kanto Tour.
This is how Shiny Ditto could enter the game: The first teaser for Shiny Ditto only shows the yellow “Oh?”. This could mean that Shiny Ditto is only recognizable at that moment and otherwise disguises itself as a normal monster, like any other Ditto.
When is Shiny Ditto coming? The shiny version will definitely be available during the Kanto Tour, which runs at the end of February. All Shinys of the 1st generation should be available there – including Ditto. All information about the choice during the Kanto Tour can be found here:
You will have the chance to catch a shiny Ditto by February 20 at the latest. So be sure to pay attention to the “Oh?” when evolving into Ditto. That’s how you can tell whether you caught a Shiny.
Whether the Kanto Tour is worth it for you and whether you should buy a ticket, you can find out here:
Today, on February 9, the Spotlight Hour with Miltank starts in Pokémon GO. We will tell you why this event could be really worth it.
What is a Spotlight Hour? This event takes place every Tuesday in Pokémon GO and highlights a Pokémon for one hour. Additionally, there is a bonus that rounds off the event.
When does the event take place? It starts at 6:00 PM local time. For one hour, the bonuses related to Miltank will be active.
These are the bonuses: In general, the spawns are increased, and almost every spawn will be a Miltank. You will encounter over 200 Pokémon in that hour without any problems.
Additionally, there is double Stardust for catching Pokémon. You will receive at least 200 dust per Pokémon.
Is there Shiny Miltank? Yes, Miltank was recently introduced in its shiny version. So you will also find Shiny Miltank if you’re lucky.
We will embed an image of the shiny version here:
Why is this event so good? There are several reasons:
Miltank has just recently become available as shiny – many will still be missing the shiny form
Additionally, Miltank is incredibly rare outside of events – you will encounter it everywhere for one hour
The bonus is also strong. Stardust is the most important resource in the game and you can never have enough
So you should definitely not miss the hour. You can also play the event with incense from home. This way, you will at least be able to catch some Miltank.
What’s next? February is still full of events. Recently, an event around Valentine’s Day was announced. New monsters are waiting for you, and the pink Pokémon are taking control. Here’s an overview:
The streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins (29) became an absolute star on Twitch in 2017 and 2018 because he mastered the online shooter Fortnite like hardly anyone else and provided his fans with a fantastic show. Today, he can hardly bear to play Fortnite. He calls the community stupid and threatens to quit the game forever. The reason is stream snipers.
What is Ninja actually doing right now? Ninja had pushed himself to the peak of Twitch in 2017 and 2018, not taking a break and streaming Fortnite incessantly. After 2018, Ninja said: he had hardly lived that year, but was a slave to streaming.
Why does he want to quit Fortnite? On February 4 and 5, Ninja played Fortnite again after a long time. But his outing quickly soured.
Ninja felt that a “stream sniper” was out to get him. He was in his last 4 games, Ninja said, as he became extremely upset after being eliminated again.
Stream snipers are players who try to enter a streamer’s lobby to specifically hunt them down and kill them.
Lately, he seems a bit off: Twitch superstar Ninja.
“Fortnite is so hollow – the community is so stupid”
Ninja exploded:
“Get out of my game. Stay away from me. You prove nothing when you enter a game and rush someone who is in a fight and kill them.
The game is so hollow, the community is so stupid. It’s not fun.
These little losers chasing fame don’t get it. They only harm the game because I won’t play it anymore. I won’t stream it anymore and then no one will anymore – I mean, good for you. Get your clips, send them to your friends and then you can say ‘I killed Ninja’ – Man, I haven’t played the game properly in ages and I still kill almost all of you idiots, even though you train 12 hours a day.”
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins
More adventures of Twitch’s blue-haired superstar can be found here:
Are they really stream snipers? A fan then asked Ninja whether those are really stream snipers who are out to get him. They could just be normal players who happen to kill him.
Ninja then snapped at him. The guy should shut up. He has no idea. The stream sniper had been in his game 4 times in a row and either died right in front of Ninja’s eyes or killed him. He doesn’t make this stuff up.
The relevant segment of Ninja’s outburst starts around 3:07 minutes:

Later, Ninja calmed down a bit. He said: Distrust would be justified. Many Twitch streamers complain about stream snipers. You shouldn’t trust them. But fans should definitely trust him. Ninja is never wrong about this.
“Be quietly skeptical. But not towards me! Trust me! I’ve been playing Battle Royale for half a decade. I know what it’s like to be stream sniped. I know the feeling. I can smell them!”
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins
Ninja seems a bit annoyed lately. But he has had many experiences with stream sniping. At the peak of his career, on New Year’s Eve 2018, Ninja streamed his shooter Fortnite at a gigantic event in New York – even then, a stream sniper was after him.
