In the Anime and Manga of Dragon Ball, there have been numerous characters over the decades. Many of them can be played in Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, but not all of them. A player started a protest.
What has the player set out to do? The YouTuber EL PEJE 2 has been uploading a video every day for 1,036 days, in which he plays the character Nam in one of the video games related to Dragon Ball. The character has appeared in many of the series’ video games, but not in the latest installment Sparking! Zero.
This is partly because he only has appearances in the original Dragon Ball. He is a warrior from a desert town and participates in the great martial arts tournament.
After that, he is only seen in sentimental scenes in Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball GT, where many older, rather forgotten characters are shown.
Accordingly, the story of Dragon Ball is quite irrelevant for this. Yet, there is a player, the YouTuber, who wishes for him to be in Sparking! Zero. For this reason, the YouTuber has set the goal of playing Nam every day until he is finally playable in the latest installment.
You can watch the complete playlist on YouTube. The videos are sometimes only a few minutes long. The main thing is that Nam was played for the day.
The first video was uploaded on June 22, 2023, proving that he has really not missed a day. Such endurance should surely be rewarded, right?
Nam as a playable character in Sparking! Zero
Did it work? In fact, the YouTuber’s video series will soon come to an end. Bandai Namco recently announced the Super Limit Breaking Neo DLC. With this DLC, there will be over 30 new playable characters, and you can guess who among these characters is.
The release for the expansion is planned for summer 2026. Therefore, we do not know exactly until what date the YouTuber still has to upload his videos. But at the latest in a few months, his journey will come to an end, as he can finally play his favorite character Nam in Sparking! Zero.
It is not only the video game developers who have forgotten characters. The creator himself has also forgotten some of his own figures in the past: A character from Dragon Ball was forgotten by the creator, and only a few fans could see them one last time
