Oil is a precious and almost indispensable resource in Conan Exiles, especially when you need hardened leather. We will show you how to quickly and easily obtain this resource.
In Conan Exiles, you can obtain oil in various ways. However, the most effective tactic is to have an Alchemist at T3 or T4 and then use the following:
- 1 Bark
- You get this from smaller trees in the red forests
- 1 Ichor
- You get this from spiders
From this, you can produce 5 oil with little input and in a short time.
Where can I find such an Alchemist? To find a suitable Alchemist at T3 or T4, it is best to go to the 3 towers east of the Mound of the Dead. Alternatively, you also have good chances to find one in the west at the city of the Relic Hunters. Just take some time and patience, as finding one can take a while.
The effort is worth it if you want to produce large quantities of oil or other alchemy, as Alchemists unlock new recipes and produce faster.
If you are not that far yet or prefer to farm more targetedly, there are also other ways to get oil.
All resources from which you can make oil
To produce oil in other ways, you need a press and some patience. This way, you can either catch fish with fish traps or use various seeds to press them into oil.
You can throw the following items into the press to get 1 oil each:
Fish
- 10 unappetizing fish
- 5 tasty fish
- 1 exotic fish
Seeds
- 15 seeds of any kind
This method, however, takes significantly longer in the long term than if you take the time to find a suitable Alchemist, as you can then get 5 oil from just 2 materials with really little effort and input.
