What kind of game was it?WildStar was a large MMORPG developed by Carbine Studios. Many former WoW developers worked there. Their goal: To develop a second large MMORPG like WoW. However, the setting was a bizarre sci-fi world where a wicked empire and a band of rebels wanted to colonize a new, unknown planet.
There were many areas of the planet Nexus to explore, with various PvP activities. The highlight of WildStar was the fast-paced action combat system, the humorous story, and the vibrant setting. What was so great about it? WildStar captivated players from the start with its crazy, vibrant appearance. The game never took itself too seriously and had a lot of humor – albeit crude and dark humor.
For instance, there was a quest where a space hamster lying on the grill gives numerous quests but does not want to get off the grill because it’s “done”.

Why did it have to die? Unfortunately, the developers made a crucial mistake and underestimated how quickly players churn through content nowadays. What would have lasted for months during the WoW release time was quickly completed in WildStar’s era, and soon after the release, players wanted more. However, the supply ran dry and did not come in sufficient quantities.
Furthermore, some of the hardcore features were far too harsh for many casual players, and the particularly demanding raids in the endgame were never played by the majority of players.
Additionally, there was a reason why 40-player raids were no longer featured in WoW and other games. It is simply extremely stressful to organize and execute. Only a small minority of players truly wanted that back, and this community alone was not enough to support WildStar.
The great success remained out of reach, and even a switch to free-to-play did not bring a long-term turnaround. Therefore, on November 28, 2018, four years after release, the servers of WildStar were permanently shut down.

The MMORPG Element Quest is a colorful 2D game that somewhat resembles the anime “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. It launched on November 24, 2021, as a free-to-play game on Steam but received mixed reviews. The game has since been taken down from the platform. The developers, however, have hinted at a potential return.
What kind of game was it? Element Quest is a 2D side-scroller and thus reminds one of the successful game MapleStory. The core of the game revolves around the different elements that give the character one of the typical RPG tasks:
Fire focuses on damage
Earth works with control and was a kind of tank
Water takes on the role of healing
Air is the hybrid class that masters damage, some support, and crowd control
Moreover, the developers emphasized that their game focuses on social aspects. With expeditions, there is a kind of dungeon system for groups of 3 to 5 players. However, these adventures are supposed to consist of randomly generated levels and boss fights. In particular, the boss fights with various mechanics are meant to be the heart of the game.

In a battle royale like PUBG: Battlegrounds, there are generally 3 phases of gameplay:

What the professional says: “It all depends on your playstyle! Are you more the players who take it easy or those who like to face the fight?
Let’s take a look at Erangel – large cities like Rozhok, Pochinki, Georgopol, Yasnaya Polyana & the military base offer plenty of loot but are highly contested. A good middle ground can be found in Severny, Mylta, and Primorsk. If you prefer to take it easy, I recommend Gatka, Lipovka, or the many small houses scattered across the map.”

What the professional says: “Every map offers its own possibilities. On Sanhok, you should jump about 1200 meters before the target, on Vikendi about 1000 meters, on Erangel about 950 meters, on Miramar at 900 meters, and on Taego around 950 meters. A hotly debated topic in the PUBG community (especially for newcomers) is the question of TPP or FPP. But what is it, actually? Here’s what the professional says:
“A brief summary: FPP is the perspective through the eyes of the character, and TPP is the perspective over the character’s shoulder. You can see most of your character from behind and have a wider field of view.”
Although TPP offers a broader field of view, the professional sees no correct setting. Instead, it is a choice based on personal preference – whether beginner or pro.
The expert says: “There’s no such thing as ‘FPP is better’ or ‘TPP is better’! Every player has their own playstyle and preferences.”
