A Japanese professional player has apparently made derogatory remarks about men of shorter stature. Although she apologized for the statement, her team has terminated their collaboration nonetheless. There is quite a bit of discussion surrounding her punishment.
Who is the pro gamer? Kana “Tanukana” Tani played the fighting game Tekken professionally. During her active time, she participated in several tournaments, where she mostly performed poorly, but also has some first or second places to her name (via Liquipedia).
Tanukana has appeared in Japanese daily newspapers like the Kobe Shimbun (via YouTube). She played for the Japanese esports team Cyclops Athlete Gaming from Osaka. Cyclops primarily employs teams in games like PUBG, Call of Duty, and Rainbow Six.
What did Tanukana say? According to Kotaku, Tanukana reportedly spoke about the height of men during one of her livestreams. The clip has since been deleted, but roughly she is said to have denied human rights to shorter men.
Those shorter than 1.70 meters are said to have no human rights and should undergo surgery for height increase, it is stated. The comment was classified as hate speech and caused a significant uproar.
After the slip-up, she was shortly thereafter fired by her team – likely also to preserve partnerships. Cyclops Athlete Gaming has major sponsors such as Red Bull and Alienware.
Team terminates the player – Community unsure if it was really meant that way
This is how Tanukana reacts: In a now-deleted tweet, the professional player addresses her statement (via PCGamer). She writes:
My remarks in the stream were unacceptable, and my lack of attention led to this. There is no excuse for having disappointed you on this matter. As a professional esports player and a member of society, I deeply regret and apologize for deceiving you.
However, her fans and other users are not even sure whether the statement was actually meant that way. For the words she used were not unambiguous.
Why is the ban so controversial? In the original, Tanukana speaks of jinken (人権). The Japanese word has two meanings:
On the one hand, it can be translated as “human rights.”
On the other hand, it refers to specific objects in games like Tekken that are considered necessary by professionals.
A discussion arose whether it could have possibly been a misinterpreted and too harshly judged statement by the player. In any case, Tanukana stands by her mistake.
The issue with languages, especially ambiguous words and the Japanese language, has come up before. A player was reportedly banned in the Battle Royale Apex Legends for a Japanese term:
Despite the negative mood, the team behind Battlefield 2042 continues to work on the game. An update is supposed to fix the biggest problems in one of the two main game modes. What it is about in detail, we will tell you here.
For weeks, Battlefield 2042 has been making negative headlines. Sometimes it’s reports that declining player numbers are reaching bizarre proportions; at other times, it’s the cheat providers who are giving up on the game because it’s not going well.
Apparently unfazed by this mood, the developers have now made extensive changes to the shooter. These adjustments are meant to create a better balance in Breakthrough, one of the two main game modes.

Game mode was “neither balanced, nor exciting, nor fair for the opposing team”
In a post in their forumm, DICE presented changes to the game mode Breakthrough. There they say that the attacking team had too many tickets – so they were allowed to respawn too often before losing the game. This was especially a problem in the last sector of a Breakthrough match:
In recent weeks, we have been observing game results and found that the attacking team often started with the maximum number of reinforcements in the last sector, which is neither balanced, nor exciting, nor fair for the opposing team.
DICE developer Adam ‘PartWelsh’ Freeman in the EA Forum
This change is intended to create a more balanced and exciting gaming experience throughout the entire Breakthrough match, especially in the last sectors.
In servers with 128 players, the attacking team now starts with a slightly increased number of tickets but receives fewer tickets per sector.
In matches with 64 players, the attackers receive fewer tickets per sector, but also start with fewer initial tickets, “to close a larger gap in balancing.”
These adjustments are already in the game thanks to a backend update – you do not have to download a patch for this.
How precisely the tickets have changed varies depending on the map. You can find out the exact values here:
Whether these changes will be enough to convince players is debatable. EA and DICE promise improvements over the next months. But statements from an internal meeting leave players doubting that the game’s problems have been properly recognized:
Loading times annoy many users. Now a developer has explained that they are even too short for a certain feature. MeinMMO explains what this is about.
Every user who plays on PC or on the older console generation (PS4/Xbox One) is probably familiar with loading times. You stare at the screen for a few minutes and wait for the console or PC to load the data.
But some developers apparently find the loading times on the PS5 too short now. So short that some developers have intentionally extended the loading times.
Too short loading times leave no tips in the loading screen
What happened now? The developers of Horizon: Forbidden West have explained in a conversation with the magazine Engadgement that while the short loading times are great, a popular feature no longer works. How good Horizon: Forbidden West really is can be read on MeinMMO.
Until now, tips and tricks could always be displayed on the loading screen. This allowed players to prepare for certain opponents or display key combinations. According to internal tests, Guerrilla states that the tips are often liked and used by many users, which is why they wanted to keep them in.
But this is exactly where the PS5 ruined the developers’ plans. The PS5’s loading times are around 5 seconds, leaving no time for these tooltips. And according to developers, it happens so quickly that players can no longer read hints.
This is what the developers did: In the conversation, the developers from Guerrilla explained that they simply extended the loading times:
We had to implement a very simple feature that keeps the loading screen up long enough for players to read at least one hint while it loads.
Do I now have to accept longer loading times with the PS5? Before there are people complaining about the extended loading times: The developers explained at the same time that you can also disable the “feature.”
You can either go to the menu and disable the pause option in the menu or simply press the X button on the loading screen and it continues.
But if you ignore the tips, then you can’t complain if you die more often than you actually wanted.
What else is happening in next-gen? While short loading times are a problem for developers, there is at least a new feature that you must enable on the Xbox to make many multiplayer rounds much more enjoyable:
In FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, the next Bundesliga POTM (Player of the Month) is now known. It is: Thomas Müller. We show you his card and tell you whether you should get it.
What is a POTM card? “POTM” stands for “Player of the Month” – So Player of the Month. It is awarded once a month for different leagues.
This time, Thomas Müller from FC Bayern Munich prevailed in the voting against his competition from the Bundesliga and is now the Player of the Month for January.

The new card is this expensive: To get POTM Müller, you must complete an SBC and submit cards worth about 60,000 coins.
This is the new POTM card of Thomas Müller
After Thomas Müller already received two Inform cards and a Flashback card in FUT 22, a new POTM card is now added, with a strong overall rating of 91. However, although the new card has the highest rating of all Thomas Müller cards on paper, there is one issue: the pace.
This is namely a meager 75 points. While you can use various Chemistry Styles to remedy this area, this POTM card will never get really fast. Here, the unfortunately no longer available Flashback card (with a pace value of 90) is ahead.
But aside from the pace, the card still has a lot to offer. Because POTM Müller has outstanding shooting values, is accurate in passing, and has strong dribbling stats. The advantages of the card are especially evident when compared to his last Inform card (89).
Here are the biggest jumps:
Pace: 71 -> 75
Shooting: 86 -> 88
Passing: 85 -> 87
Dribbling: 83 -> 87
Physical: 74 -> 77
Is the card worth it for your team? That depends. If you care about meta cards, then the new POTM card from Müller is probably not for your team. Unfortunately, the lack of speed cannot be compensated for, and in this area, other CAM cards are simply a bit better, with more pace.
But if you are looking for a decent CAM who can score goals, distribute balls reliably, and is also not too expensive, then you get exactly what you are looking for with Thomas Müller.
What do you think of the new POTM card? Would you have preferred another player? Let us know in the comments!
Otherwise, you can currently get an extremely strong card of Neymar in FIFA 22:
Lost Ark has laid the foundation for new EU servers with today’s update. The new region EU-West will launch tonight. Additionally, new compensation for all players has been announced.
What are these servers? On February 17 at 6:00 PM German time, the servers in the new region Europe West will be launched. This region was introduced this morning with a patch and operates completely independently from Europe Central, the current European servers.
On the new servers, you will start completely from scratch in terms of characters and account level. However, there are a few bonuses that we will discuss throughout the article.
The eight new servers are named:
Rethramis
Tortoyk
Moonkeep
Stonehearth
Shadespire
Tragon
Petrania
Punika
Currently, no server has been “claimed” by the German community.
The developers do not expect the queues to disappear completely with this change, but they hope they will at least reduce.

With Palia a particularly interesting MMO is in development. It forgoes typical combat and focuses on content that is usually secondary, including crafting, housing, and relationships with NPCs. The developers have now revealed details about monetization.
What has Palia announced? The new MMO from former developers of Riot Games and Blizzard will be Free2Play. Everyone will be able to play it for free. There will also be no pre-order packages with early access.
To finance the MMORPG, a shop will be introduced that should adhere to the following rules:
Only cosmetic items will be sold – primarily clothing sets and outfits at the beginning
You will never be able to pay for something that you can also earn in-game
There will be no boosters or buffs – the developers want earned achievements to mean something
There will be no loot boxes with random items
There will be no rotations in the shop, everything will always be available
The developers commit to communicating decisions honestly and openly
The developers emphasize that they want to “win together with the players”. The team is committed to paying good salaries and benefits and therefore needs to make money with Palia. But they do not want to force players to pay for anything. The goal is to find players who “like to spend money”.

Trailer for Palia, one of the most interesting upcoming MMOs
Palia wants to be a social MMO – Reminds of Animal Crossing
What exactly is Palia? Palia wants to be a social MMO where playing together with others is the focus. It relies on various activities that you can experience alone or together with other players:
There is housing with thousands of different items. Your friends should be able to come over and help you decorate.
Activities like fishing, cooking, chopping wood, or building your own farm are part of the core content. These will be accompanied by entertaining mini-games.
You should be able to explore the world and find hidden lore items.
You can constantly change the appearance of your character and give them cool outfits.
You can build friendships and relationships with NPCs in your surroundings.

In Palia there will also be the option to fight against creatures from the environment in special hunting quests, but this is meant to be optional. It will rely on a system of various skills rather than classes.
If you wish, you can completely forgo fighting. There will be no PvP at all. Additionally, dungeons are planned for the future, although it is unclear whether combat or puzzles will take place in them. It could also possibly be a combination of both.
When will Palia be released? The closed alpha for the MMO is set to start in the first half of 2022. You can already register on the official website (via Palia). With a bit of luck, you will be selected for the tests and get to try out one of the interesting MMOs for the coming years.
However, there is still no concrete release date.
What do you think about Palia? Do you find the MMO just as exciting? Or do you always need combat, dungeons, and PvP? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.

In Lost Ark, many different collectible items await you. The total of 1,209 Mokoko Seeds present a particularly large challenge that is worth the effort. We at MeinMMO explain to you why this is the case.
What are Mokoko Seeds? The small, green seeds belong to the 8 different collectible items that you should find in Lost Ark. You can reach an overview of them by pressing Alt+L.
On most maps in Lost Ark, you will encounter these seeds. With a glance at the map (M), you can also see in the top right corner how many Mokoko Seeds are currently waiting for you in the section you’re in.
If you collect the seeds, you will eventually receive rewards for doing so. The more you collect, the more rewards you can call your own.
In total, there are currently 1,209 Mokoko Seeds that are hidden in the world of Lost Ark. Of these, 344 are distributed across islands, and all the others can be found on the main continents, in cities, and dungeons waiting for you in Arkesia.
The only exception is the continent Tortoyk, where the Mokokos come from. Here, there are no seeds to collect, but you can collect your rewards for your efforts.
Almost everywhere in the world you can find Mokoko Seeds
Where do you collect the rewards? Although you can already collect the first Mokoko Seeds in the very first city, Prideholm, it takes a while before you receive a reward for it. You first need to reach Mokoko Village, which is waiting for you on the second continent.
Once you reach Tortoyk, at around level 35, you can talk to Tomoka in the city. If you select the conversation option Mokoko Seeds with him, you can be generously rewarded.
On the continent Tortoyk in Mokoko Village, you can collect your rewards at the marked location
What rewards are there? You receive rewards based on how many Mokoko Seeds you have found in total. You don’t have to spend them to collect the rewards.
You receive an additional reward for every 50 Mokoko Seeds. This includes collectible cards, potions that increase your stats, as well as new crew members for your ship. Additionally, there are titles, transformations, skins, buildings for your island, and even two masterpieces that you can obtain here.
Furthermore, each individual seed you find grants you 180 squad experience, helping you to improve your account further.
For many Mokoko Seeds, there are also many gifts waiting for you
How to Find the Seeds
Where are the Mokoko Seeds hidden? Some of the small collectible items are cleverly hidden in places you would never visit or placed so that you simply walk past them.
It helps to search every nook and cranny of the map. However, if this is too tedious for you, the interactive map from Papunika can help you track down all the Mokoko Seeds. Of course, there is the risk that you might take away some of the fun from the game, but everyone has to decide that for themselves.
Help, I can’t get to these seeds: It should also be noted that you will encounter two Mokoko Seeds in the first zone of Lost Ark that you cannot collect yet. The reason for this is that they are hidden behind a vine wall that simply won’t budge.
During your adventures, you will come across some of those seeds. You will need specific songs in your repertoire to clear the way. Frequently, you will resort to Song of Minuet and Song of Resonance.
What do you think of the Mokoko Seeds? How many do you already own, and have you gathered the songs you need to collect many of the seeds? Or is hunting for such items not for you, and do you prefer to ignore it completely? Feel free to write us in the comments here at MeinMMO.
In February, the MMORPG Guild Wars 2 will receive its new expansion End of Dragons. MyMMO editor Alexander Leitsch was able to take a look at the new content together with the developers.
The Guild Wars franchise has accompanied me for over 16 years, more than half of my life. I have spent over 18,000 hours in the two MMOs combined. Therefore, I was very excited to be one of the press representatives allowed to play the new expansion End of Dragons.
In my session, I was able to sail on ships with the developers, do a little fishing, explore the first areas, complete some world events, and play the first attack mission in just two hours.
The impression of End of Dragons is positive, although at some points it feels a bit too colorful. With good graphics settings, it doesn’t look as garish as some trailers suggested, yet the colors still stand in stark contrast to the last expansion, Path of Fire.
The expansion primarily offers more of the familiar content and no groundbreaking innovations. Nevertheless, fans of Guild Wars and MMORPG fans in general should check out End of Dragons, as the showcased content immediately makes you crave more. I present you with 5 reasons and explain at the end how newcomers can best start with Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars 2: Everything you need to know about the new expansion End of Dragons in under 3 minutes
End of Dragons brings more of the best content: the huge world events
For me, the biggest fascination in Guild Wars 2 lies in the huge world events. Nothing feels quite as good in an MMORPG as defeating a huge boss with dozens of other players or influencing the development of the area by freeing a settlement from enemy hands and unlocking new vendors.
For End of Dragons, we were specifically introduced to an event in the Echo Forest. The entire area is a rather gloomy and almost spooky forest where we encounter the Jade Brotherhood. They are already known from Guild Wars 1, but back then they were more of a harmless street gang.
Now, they have decided to experiment with crazy technologies and combat us with huge jade robots and genetically manipulated animals.
Upon arriving at Fort Espenwald, we had to try to storm the fort known from Guild Wars as a group. A central role is played by the siege turtle, as was already the case in the predecessor.
The Fort Espenwald is now controlled by the Jade Brotherhood. As in Guild Wars 1, we must attack it with siege turtles.
We fought our way through several levels and had to defeat several champions, which would not have been possible without the help of dev tools given our group size of around 20 players. At the end of the event, a special boss awaited: a runaway machine threatening to blow up the entire area.
At the end of the fight, there were several loot chests, as is customary in the meta events. As with other events, it is always a special feeling when you master such a challenge together with a large group.
The developers also promised that there will be several more large events in End of Dragons.
The coolest mount ever is coming
However, the real highlight of the first meta event was the new mount. The siege turtle was needed to destroy shields or fight enemies on high towers. However, this task could only be performed by the second player, as the turtle is a two-player mount:
Player 1 controls the mount and can dodge attacks or even hover in the air. They also need to move a lot to charge the cannons on the turtle’s back.
Player 2, on the other hand, controls the huge siege weapons and has to deal with the destruction of the shields.
The turtle has additional features, including its speed. At first, it moves very slowly and leisurely, but over time it builds up good speed. However, it is so huge that its turning radius is enormous. Braking is also not easy.
The siege turtle is one of the coolest mounts ever.
Fishing is pure relaxation
Among the major new features of End of Dragons are sailing and fishing. Both are directly related, as ships are primarily used to travel to a body of water, find a fishing spot, and anchor there.
A ship, called a skiff in Guild Wars 2, can be used with up to five people. One of the players summons the ship, and the other four can sit on it and use emotes during the journey to provide a speed boost.
The fishing itself is a small mini-game. You cast the bait, wait for the spot where the bait is to start bubbling, and then reel in the line. While doing this, a small green bar moves from right to left. You must catch it at the right moment, which was relatively easy during the six fishing attempts on the test server.

You can fish basically anywhere in Tyria, and you also don’t need a special fishing spot. However, it is particularly worthwhile to fish at these special spots in the waters. In total, there are said to be over 200 different fish species, each of which can only be found in specific locations. This applies to both the base game and the old expansions.
Obtaining a skiff is said to be about as complicated as unlocking a mount in the original version of Path of Fire. Back then, a heart had to be completed, and then the mount had to be purchased with gold.
I was also able to test this, although in the beginning only the Aurene weapons will be available. However, they make a solid impression in the animations.
The new legendary weapons at the start of End of Dragons.
Finally, group challenges again
At the end of the event, the developers led us into the first attack mission. The opponent there was Mai Trin, a pirate who players from Living World Season 1 might know. The instance is designed for 10 players and comes in two different difficulty levels: Normal and Challenge.
We played the boss only in normal mode, where he already had some challenging mechanics, including AoE attacks, a break bar, and regular phase changes, during which several phantoms suddenly appear, each with different mechanics.
In the middle of the fight, there is also an interesting phase change, which we do not want to spoil for you here.
Captain Mai Trin returns in the new expansion.
In general, the new attack missions are meant to serve as a bridge between casual players and raid fans.
The bosses are first introduced in the story. They are designed for solo players and can be easily defeated.
The normal mode is intended to encourage players to engage more deeply with the boss and its mechanics.
Those who want more challenge can then try the Challenge Mode. This is intended to feel like a “real raid boss” in terms of difficulty.
The developers first designed the hard version of the boss and then scaled it down to an easier level. You can find more detailed information here:
Personally, I really like the style of End of Dragons. It takes us back to Cantha, the Asian continent from Guild Wars 1. But it has evolved and now features an interesting mix of Steampunk and Asian aesthetics.
On one side, there is Shing Jea, a traditionally Chinese island where cherry blossom trees grow and everything seems colorful and peaceful.
On the other side, however, are the Jade Brotherhood and technological advancements. Robots, chemical fumes, mutated creatures, massive shields.
This contrast runs throughout the entire continent. Everywhere, jade plays an important role, such as in fuel. However, technological advancement also leads to problems and inequality in society. This has already been seen in the first videos of the Jade Sea and the Echo Forest.
These worlds will likely clash in the capital city of New Kaineng, although we do not know much about it yet.
Huge pipes and flying transports, but at the same time old Asian buildings – that’s the new Cantha.
Entry is also possible as a complete beginner
Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons primarily targets the veterans of the game and, of course, fans of Guild Wars Factions, as it goes to the old areas. However, newcomers can also start quite well with the expansion.
To experience the new content, you first need to purchase the expansion. This can be done either as a standalone for €29.99 or in the Standard Edition for €49.99. This includes the previous expansions Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire.
After that, the first task is to reach level 80. To do this, you can:
Explore areas and follow the story
Level up through professions
Run the old dungeons
Activate the booster included with the purchase of the expansion
However, the booster should only be an option if you really want to jump into the expansion directly with friends. On one hand, you will miss out on the beautiful world of Guild Wars 2, and on the other, you will start completely unprepared and without experience in content that can be quite overwhelming in the first hours.
While it is advisable to catch up on old story content, as this allows you to get to know your group’s characters better, you can generally start directly with level 80 in the content.
Further tips for a successful entry can be found in our beginner guide:
For those who start Lost Ark during primetime, the error 10027 and the message “Due to extreme server load, no connection could be established” will repeatedly pop up. But what does that mean exactly and what can be done about it?
When does the error occur? The error 10027 occurs whenever the Lost Ark servers are too overloaded. This usually happens during peak hours in Europe, around 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Many players want to log in at the same time during this period.
What can I do about it? There are two options:
First, you can restart the client and hope that the message does not appear next time. This actually works because players log off from time to time and people move up in the queue. You need to catch that short moment.
Alternatively, you can switch the server region, for example to America and the upcoming EU-West servers. However, you will not have access to your characters and account progress in a different region.
However, there is an obstacle with option two, as the error message itself prevents access to the server regions. We will explain further down how you can change the region without being online.
How to change the region in Lost Ark when you are offline
How can I change the region? If you cannot go online but want to play on American servers, you can also change the region offline. To do this, you need to find the XML file named “User Option”.
It is located in your Steam folder under Lost ArkEFGameConfig. Scroll down to the bottom and change the entry for “RegionID” to the desired region, i.e., “CE” (Central Europe), “EA” (East Coast), or “WA” (West Coast).

Since the error does not occur on American servers, you can play there without interruption. This trick will likely also work when the new EU-West servers come. We will then appropriately add the abbreviation.

As soon as Savathun, the main character from the latest DLC in Destiny 2, is free, she is already getting cheeky. Right after her escape, the Witch Queen takes over the Bungie Twitter account and announces that she is ready for a new form. The Guardians find it cool and engage in a literal exchange of words with the cheeky witch.
Who is the new Twitter queen? The latest expansion of Destiny 2 revolves around Savathun. She is one of the three Wyrm Gods and aims to understand the deepest secrets of the universe. She gains her power from the deception and confusion of those who try to understand her unfathomable plans. This also seems to apply to Twitter.
However, she now regrets her former pact with the Worm Gods. She wanted to be free again, and for that, she was willing to use any means, even a pact with her former enemies.
Until recently, Savathun was still trapped in a crystal.
On Tuesday, Destiny 2 held the finale of Season 15. In a new mission, the Guardians had to protect the two queens while Mara Sov removed the worm from Savathun. However, this did not go as planned, and unfortunately, the Witch Queen managed to escape. Shortly thereafter, Bungie’s Twitter messages changed. Savathun herself took over the official Bungie account and cheekily announced in a reply:
So many of you blinked at the ceiling! Should I have said ‘Watch out’?
Savathun is cunning and cheeky: It seems that nothing has changed about her cunning nature since the ‘Worm Exorcism.’ Savathun continues to hit the right spot with her sharp tongue and makes it clear that she should not be underestimated for a second. Anyway, the Witch Queen seems to have a ‘real lulu of a plan’.
The Guardian RogertheBackman takes it in humor and counters: ‘I would say about a third of us looked up…’ referencing the Titan class.
The community is enthusiastically involved: The community finds it great and seizes the opportunity for a direct exchange with the enemy – or friend?
The account Twitter-Gaming wanted to know if the exorcised queen was doing well. To which she replied: ‘Better than ever!’. In a later reply to stonesandsnakes, she further cheekily and somewhat disparagingly adds, about Osiris, whom she used as a vessel:
I left nothing valuable behind, just a few rags shaped like a man… but I’m sure you will put him back together.
Other players even made a bizarre offer to protect the worm-free queen, like the player TheNazgul.
However, the Witch Queen seems to have no interest in that and replies: ‘I have worked so hard to free myself from my worm. I’m looking for no replacement.’ and indirectly refers to the Guardian as a worm in her typically sardonic manner.
But the Witch Queen is not only cheeky, but apparently also thinks of herself as perfectly flawless, as she herself states: ‘Being flawless is only difficult if you have flaws yourself.’
Even now, the Witch Queen continues tweeting away and clearly enjoys challenging the Guardians. It almost seems like she is quite confident. Griffin Bennett, the social lead at Bungie, has already stated that they are working to get the studio’s Twitter account back.
If you want to ask her anything, you should quickly stop by Twitter and demand an audience with the eloquent queen.
The Witch Queen invites for tea on Twitter.
Is the Witch Queen sending secret messages on Twitter?
Besides the entertaining exchange, some Guardians in the raidsecret subreddit have noticed a few other details of this paracausal Twitter corruption. Not only messages are going through the account. The biography of the account has also been adjusted.
It is quite possible that we will receive more cryptic messages from a Witch Queen who enjoys her new freedom in every way until next Tuesday, and that she will give no answers easily. At least the Guardians now have a rough idea of what to expect. Or do they not, Savathun?
They all said you knew what would happen. How does it feel to be so clever?
Have you had the pleasure of engaging with the worm-free queen on Twitter? Or were you perhaps one of the Titans who looked up when Savathun made her escape? Let us know in the comments what you would like to tell Savathun.
By the way, Savathun is not the first beautiful lady in Destiny 2 who likes to tweet:
The big and well-known Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys posted a tweet with her bare face and a sarcastic message to her haters. She wanted to take the wind out of their sails, but the tweet only made things worse. MeinMMO reports what’s going on.
This is the backstory to the “Pokimane and JiDion” drama:
Pokimane was raided by streamer JiDion, but not with nice words as is usually the case, but with a hate message: “L+Ratio”. Pokimane’s chat was spammed with the message, which means loud booing.
The streamer and her colleagues were shocked by this. Fans and streamers caused such an uproar over the raid, that JiDion was permanently banned from Twitch after he had only been temporarily banned from the platform.
After the hate raid, JiDion and many of his viewers took Pokimane’s bare face as a profile picture to get back at her.
Even the huge streamer Ninja and his wife were involved in the whole scandal, as they claimed that Pokimane spread false information about Ninja and his support for JiDion. They threatened to sue Pokimane.
How did the tweet come about? Pokimane herself didn’t come up with the tweet, but her hate raider JiDion. The streamer actually met with him while the two were filmed by a camera. The two seem to have come to terms, and JiDion posted the video on February 16 on his YouTube channel.
While they were joking at the table and eating, JiDion had the idea that Pokimane should write this tweet. Just to show the haters: This is me, I stand by it, and this is how I look.
Haters took the picture as a profile picture to say: “This is Pokimane? Does she simp for herself? Look how ugly she looks without makeup!” The tweet was supposed to counter this statement.
However, the tweet had the opposite effect.
After Pokimane’s tweet, more haters emerged
Why were there more haters? For many readers, the tweet seemed completely out of context. They said Pokimane was pretentious and shouldn’t boast about her wealth, it was totally weird.
Others still insulted her bare face and claimed that she only earns money while wearing makeup and never streams without it. Pokimane should try streaming without makeup and see how consistently her good numbers hold up.
What does Pokimane say about the hate after the tweet? The Twitch streamer was surprised; she didn’t expect the number of haters, she says in a stream. It must be because the tweet went viral, and most people didn’t catch what the actual meaning and context were.
Furthermore, Pokimane addresses the haters who mock her bare face and says: “If you want to discredit the achievements of the woman you’re mocking for her bare face, screw you, and she says: You haven’t achieved anything in your life.”

Streamer and friend Valkyrae speaks up: During a stream, Valkyrae saw the tweet from her friend Pokimane and supported it (via YouTube). “She is so hot for this,” tweeted Valkyrae right underneath and continued saying, “I mean, she’s not wrong.”
She was extremely upset about the reactions from the people who insulted Pokimane.
However, before she completely freaked out, she stopped herself: “I will chill…”
Others also spoke up under the photo tweet with positive feedback:
QuarterJade: “I live for this attitude.”
5up: “TELL THEM HOW IT IS!”
TL Nocturnal: “Yes, this is certified queen shit.”
Bella Poarch: “Can I get permission to kiss that face?”
It is definitely clear that hate raid sender JiDion and streamer Pokimane have made up and get along well. Whether the haters will soon leave the Twitch streamer alone is questionable. Pokimane has added plenty of fuel to the hate fire with her sarcastic tweet, but she also has some people backing her up.

In Apex Legends, a Twitch streamer found himself in serious trouble and cried out desperately for help. This was misinterpreted, and suddenly the police were there. However, they responded quite nicely. Read the whole story here on MeinMMO.
Why was there such loud shouting? The Canadian streamer Vuzby was playing Apex Legends and streaming it live on Twitch. In the game on the newly redesigned Map Olympus in Season 12, he found himself in serious trouble. Vuzby apparently panicked and shouted loudly in the voice chat for help.
Help did come, but not in the way Vuzby probably expected. Suddenly, uniformed officers were knocking at his window, and shortly thereafter, a police patrol stood in his streaming room, looking over his shoulder at the camera.
Who is Vuzby?Vuzby is an emerging streamer from Canada. His preferred game is Apex Legends. Although he only has 3,898 followers (as of February 17, 2022), his clip of the police incident has already received over 100,000 views.
Why did the police come? The officers asked calmly and politely whether he was currently streaming and had possibly shouted for help loudly recently.
Vuzby then said that this could very well have been the case. He was doing it for “content” and had been quite startled when the police suddenly appeared.

How did the situation end? The officers took it with amusement and explained to Vuzby that apparently, passersby had taken his desperate screams for a real threat and had subsequently informed the patrol. He was asked to please close the window so that this wouldn’t happen again.

As a farewell, the officer looked into the camera and wished Vuzby many viewers in his stream. According to Vuzby, the officer even asked for his channel name. Perhaps there might be a future collaboration, Vuzby cheekily suggested at the end.
Thus, the situation ended unexpectedly well. As nice and friendly as this situation was handled, some confrontations between streamers and the police have ended tragically in the past.
Asmongold’s channel is currently one of the largest on Twitch, and he owes this to the new MMORPG Lost Ark. Now the streamer draws a first conclusion and compares the game among other things with Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft.
Who is the streamer?
Asmongold is known as the largest MMORPG streamer on Twitch. He gained fame primarily with World of Warcraft, but switched to Final Fantasy XIV and other MMOs some time ago.
What is this feature? In his video, Asmongold praises especially the combat system of Lost Ark. He compares it to that of Diablo 3. You play Lost Ark with an isometric perspective, so “diagonally from above” and in action combat.
Typically, you face larger groups of enemies and crush them with your powerful abilities. Less often, you also fight stronger bosses alone. Control is done with the mouse, and you activate abilities like in Diablo on the PC using the keys around WASD.
You usually have 8 different abilities available with which you can charge various special skills depending on your class. For an efficient fight, you need to chain the abilities together and use your “Ultimate” at the right moment.
What makes the combat so good? For the streamer, the combat system of Lost Ark is “phenomenal”. He praises that it attracts players and can keep them engaged at the same time because it is based on proven successful systems. Asmongold says:
The combat is the main factor that attracts many people […] and keeps them playing. Lost Ark feels to me like Diablo if Diablo were an MMO. […]
The experience you have here is formulaic to a certain extent and therefore better balanced.
There are many small opportunities to customize and improve your character, but only a few with really large effects – unlike in Path of Exile, as Asmongold says. You make quick progress and do not have to cope with only a few abilities for hours like in Diablo.
According to Asmongold, the entire system feels simply round. It is innovative, and you can operate it “instinctively”. That is precisely what makes it so gripping: You understand the system immediately and can get started right away. The video with his full opinion is embedded here:

Lost Ark tries to be like Diablo and WoW, but does it better
In the video, Asmongold also discusses games like World of Warcraft or New World. The story and character customizations of Lost Ark are better than those of Shadowlands. Particularly, WoW disappointed many fans with the current expansion.
However, Lost Ark also tries to adapt the special features of games like WoW. Asmongold explains: WoW can be played in countless different ways:
Someone can log in and be a balding guy farming mounts. Or they can be Mythic raiders. Or they log in and are PvP players. Or they log in and are role-players. And these 4 ways of playing are just so radically different that their only commonality is the game they play.
Lost Ark tries to emulate this, for example, with the fortress system with housing. However, the most important factor for success is the player base. Fans could already see through the success of Lost Ark in Korea and Russia that the game works.

Everything you need to know about Lost Ark’s endgame – in the video
Moreover, it is growing according to Asmongold. He says many gamers play MMOs to show off their achievements to others, and when a game grows, that is simply easier. It is already stronger than New World at the same time and will get even bigger.
In fact, much of the content that will come in the future is already known. For example, new classes are approaching that are already playable in Korea but are still missing in Europe:
Initially, EA planned not to release the upcoming DLC “My Wedding Stories” for The Sims 4 in Russia due to the homophobic laws there. However, after protests from the community, they seem to have reconsidered the situation, and now the DLC is set to be released in Russia after all. Read all the details here on MeinMMO!
What kind of DLC is this? A new DLC is planned for the popular life simulation game The Sims 4 by EA. It is called “My Wedding Stories” and focuses entirely on weddings. You can plan and execute weddings to your heart’s content, complete with huge cakes, elaborate ceremonies, and magnificent wedding dresses.
Isn’t it actually a lovely thing that should excite Sims players all over the world?
What is so problematic about it in Russia? The DLC allows – as has long been typical in The Sims – for weddings involving same-sex couples. The entire advertising campaign for the DLC even explicitly features the wedding of Cam(eron) and Dom(inique), a lesbian couple. They even adorn the cover of the DLC.
However, in Russia, a controversial law stands in the way of the grand wedding fun in The Sims 4. Since 2013, so-called “homosexual propaganda” has been prohibited there. This means that it is subject to penalty to show homosexuality positively in the presence of minors. The law has since caused much international uproar and protests from human rights movements (via Süddeutsche).

EA explains change of course and postpones release of My Wedding Stories
This was EA’s initial reaction: Due to the difficult legal situation, the publisher EA initially decided not to release the DLC at all in Russia. While homosexual relationships are indeed possible in the base version of The Sims 4, the game had previously avoided classification in Russia because it is rated for adults only.
However, since the entire marketing for the upcoming wedding DLC revolves around the wedding of the two women, this was apparently too sensitive for EA at first, leading them to decide to scrap the DLC for Russia.
As a justification, EA stated back then that they considered the story of the two women so important that they didn’t want to cut it, and therefore preferred not to release the DLC in regions where love between same-sex individuals is problematic:
For “My Wedding Stories,” we were excited to introduce you to Dom and Cam. Their love story reflects the experiences of so many members of our community and our team.
During our development and storytelling process, we realized that the way we wanted to tell Cam and Dom’s story would not be something we could freely share around the world.
The ability to tell stories – whatever they may be – is at the core of our work at The Sims. Keeping Cam and Dom’s story to ourselves would mean compromising the values by which we live. We are committed to the freedom to be who you are, to love whom you love, and to tell the stories you want to tell.
What does this mean for you, our players? We are determined to uphold this commitment by highlighting and celebrating stories like Dom and Cam’s. That is why we have decided to forgo the release of “My Wedding Stories” wherever our narrative would be subject to changes due to laws.
Unfortunately, this means that members of the Sims community in Russia will not be able to purchase this DLC.
How did the community react? EA’s justification was not well received by various content creators. For instance, streamer Kayla stated via Twitter that EA’s decision makes a statement against the interests of homosexuals. According to Kayla, homosexuals in Russia must feel ignored and irrelevant. Therefore, she stated she would not cover the DLC in her streams until EA responds positively.
Other users on Twitter even called for a boycott of the DLC as long as EA maintains its decision and prevents the DLC in Russia.
This is the current situation: Recently, there has actually been a re-evaluation at EA. In a statement from February 16, it was suddenly revealed that they now intend to release the Wedding Stories in Russia after all. And indeed with the full program, including the wedding of Cam and Dom.
Last week, we published the update below regarding the announced My Wedding Stories gameplay pack. At the time, we believed that our team could not freely tell the story of the same-sex couple Cam and Dom in Russia, and since we wanted to stand up for their story, we decided not to release the pack there.
Since then, we have heard from our community about their wishes and feedback, ranging from support for our decision to sympathy for other members of the community. It is just as important for us to stand by our values, which includes a clear stance against homophobia, and to share such stories with those who wish for them the most and need them the most.
Against this backdrop, we have re-evaluated our options and recognized that we can do more than we originally thought, and we will now also be releasing The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories gameplay pack for our community in Russia – unchanged and with Dom and Cam.

It seems that the massive push from fans for the release of the wedding DLC in Russia made a difference. However, the DLC “My Wedding Stories” will not be released as planned on the 17th, but a week later, on the 23rd of February 2022. One can only hope that The Sims 4 and the DLC do not fall victim to the laws in Russia after all.
Do you really want to participate in the Metaverse? Then a company is now offering you the chance to join for $1,000 (around 900 Euros). The special twist of the company: There are only 1,000 pieces of the ring.
What kind of company is this? The company Venly is a provider that develops technologies and tools. These tools are then made available to companies that want to use blockchain. Partners include NFT trading platforms and blockchain games.
Venly has now introduced a special NFT ring. And according to the company, you need it if you want to participate in the large, unknown Metaverse. However, the number of rings is limited, and it is not cheap either.
What is NFT? NFT stands for “Non-Fungible Token.” It is a protected digital object based on “blockchain” technology. An NFT is like a limited digital collectible. It can be photos, videos, audio files, or any other type of digital data. At MeinMMO, we explain to you in more detail, what NFTs mean for gaming.
The company says: With this ring, you can use all metaverses
What kind of ring is this? The company calls the ring simply “MetaRing” and confidently states that the ring is supposed to place the owner at the center of the Metaverse (“Placing you at the center of the Metaverse.”). What exactly we are supposed to imagine by this is explained by the CEO of Venly, Stefan Colins.
Colins explained in an interview that Venly offers a large network, making the ring particularly useful:
By connecting interoperability with various levels of utility, we provide NFT owners with greater value. We have a team at Venly focused on closing deals with new metaverses and emerging players, meaning that the benefits and value of the MetaRing will only increase in the coming years.
What is Colin talking about? Interoperability sounds very complicated at first, but it simply means that structures seamlessly overlap. This is comparable to the social login that many systems now offer. This way, you can log in to games, apps, and more with the same Google/Facebook account everywhere.
With the ring, according to the manufacturer, you can use the ring at all participating companies and gain certain advantages:
You can participate in special events and games
or invest in digital real estate,
or be given preference in future NFT drops.
However, this only works if the other systems recognize the ring.
The Metaverse ring is expensive and highly limited
How many are there? Venly had stated that there would only be 1,000 Metaverse rings. 100 of those will go to the team and close partners. A handful of rings will be raffled off, and the rest will go on open sale.
For the ring, you will have to pay at least $1,000, which currently equates to around 900 Euros for the virtual ring. If you think that $1,000 for a digital object is a lot, you are mistaken. Because in a new multiplayer game, you could even buy NFT land for 800,000 Euros.
In Destiny 2, many of the new Exotics for Witch Queen were presented in the last TWaB. One Hunter gauntlet stood out in particular. This could soon make the Hunter competitive against the Warlocks, who are already considered the best support class. We will show you the Exo.
What kind of Exo is this? The Exo refers to the new gauntlets “Renewal Grips”. This piece of armor grants a larger effect radius of the Stasis class’s Shatter Grenade. With it, you can cover a larger area and keep more enemies in the icy storm.
On top of that, the grenade weakens enemies in their damage output when they are within the effect radius. This allows enemies to be strategically weakened and frozen. However, if your fireteam needs some damage resistance, Guardians can enter the Ice Dome. This will result in your fireteam taking less damage.
Hunters will become competitive against Warlocks
If the new Exotic can prove itself and also impress in endgame content as a lifesaver, it might even become a real competitor to the support abilities of Warlocks.
These are the Renewal Grips
The Hunter was mainly responsible for generating Light Orbs and making himself invisible in stealth passages. Due to a nerf that the Hunter will receive, one of the most important support roles will be taken from him. However, this Exo could ensure, with its intrinsic perk, that the Hunter can throw compact Titan bubbles that protect you.
With this Exo, Hunters will have greater area control and can therefore dictate the flow of battle. While the Well is stationary and takes a long time to be reused, grenades can be used more often. For that, you just need the right mods and armor.
What does the Exo look like? The arms are made of leather with metal components that protect the arm. You can also see symbols from Braytech and the Black Armory. In the lore description, it could be envisioned as a collaboration between both parties that forged new weapons and equipment. The arms might have been the first prototype.
Where could it be used? Since it is not yet known how significant the damage debuff and the gained resilience will be, it is difficult to estimate whether the Grips are also worth it for endgame.
However, it could be anticipated that in the PvP mode “Control” it might become very annoying. Players who place such a grenade on the zones can thereby dominate the flow of battle. We will have to wait and see how Bungie has adjusted this armor.
What do you think of the armor? Do you think it poses a competition to the Warlocks? Or do you believe that Wells and Ice Grenades can be combined? Let us know in the comments!

In Lost Ark, Chuo is one of the many world bosses that you can find on the large map. We will show you the location of the enemy here.
What kind of enemy is this? Chuo is part of the large selection of world bosses in Lost Ark. You can fight him with a small group of players or, if you have good gear, you can also defeat him solo.
We will show you an overview of the boss’s location and why the kill is worth it for you.
Chuo Location and Loot
Where can you find Chuo? On the following map, we will show you the exact location of Chuo’s spawn. Head to the red-marked spot.
You will find Chuo on the continent Annika at Twilight Mists – Map: Mapgenie.io
You will find Chuo on the continent Anikka. It is best to have access to the ships in Lost Ark to get there. Once you have access to “Twilight Mists”, you can search for Chuo in Cloud Valley. You can find the spawn point on the map we have embedded above.
If you cannot find Chuo right now, he may be in respawn. After killing a world boss, it takes 30 minutes for him to respawn.
Just come back later or change the channel by clicking on the “CH” in the upper right corner of your interface and selecting another channel.
What does the kill bring? When you defeat Chuo, it brings you an entry in the Adventure Folio. You will also earn money and loot, and of course experience points. For your first kill of Chuo, you will receive a first kill reward consisting of a chest containing three epic items waiting for you.
With our guide, you should be able to find Chuo without any problems. Then secure the loot after the fight and grab the Mokoko seeds that you find nearby.

The MMORPG TitanReach aimed to be a modern RuneScape. The developers had already released a playable demo that looked promising. However, the online role-playing game had to be completely discontinued. A YouTuber now claims that the head of TitanReach has gambled away money and allegedly bought himself a Tesla.
How was the development of the game?
Even before the first Kickstarter campaign, the developers of TitanReach presented a playable version. This is more than nearly all MMORPGs on Kickstarter could showcase.
The demo was rudimentary, but it showed some potential, especially in crafting.
Money for MMORPG went to cryptocurrency and Tesla, says YouTuber
What is the head accused of now? The well-known MMORPG YouTuber KiraTV claims that the head of TitanReach, who appeared on Discord as “Unravel”, gambled away $150,000 in cryptocurrency and allegedly used the remaining money to buy himself a Tesla.
The YouTuber supports this with screenshots of private conversations between him and Unravel.
Screenshot from KiraTV’s video.
Where did KiraTV get this information? In a video, the YouTuber explained the entire situation between him and Unravel. Since the Kickstarter campaign in 2020, both have been in close contact. Kira claimed to have had hopes for the new MMORPG. Private matters were also said to have been discussed.
Unravel also told the YouTuber about the investor who rescued the MMORPG at the end of 2021. He is said to have taken care of the entire financing without imposing any conditions on the developers. They could implement their planned MMORPG, which, however, was supposed to become a cryptocurrency game at the head’s own request.
In February, Unravel allegedly stated that he invested $150,000 from the company budget into the cryptocurrency Wonderland/TIME. Most of it is said to have been lost.
After he told the investor about this, the investor stopped payments for TitanReach.
Unravel asked KiraTV not to report on this situation and thereby destroy TitanReach. In return, he promised the YouTuber tokens – and thus money – and a place on his team.
Kira declined the offer, but did not go public with the situation. Until February 14.
What happened then? In several conversations, Kira found out that the head may have embezzled more money than the $150,000. Former developers of TitanReach claim that he bought himself a Tesla with company funds.
Moreover, the head is said to have disclosed the name of the investor to the other developers – Andre Cronje. This allegedly forced Kira to go public with the entire story. He stated that he initially kept it secret because he did not want to ruin a person’s life.
The complete course of events and further screenshots from the conversations can be viewed in this video:

We from MeinMMO tried to contact the founder Unravel. We also requested a statement from investor Andre Cronje regarding this matter.
Switch to crypto-MMORPG did not go well
What else did KiraTV say in the video? Besides the accusations regarding the embezzlement of money, the YouTuber also reported that the idea of turning TitanReach into a crypto game and the sudden end of the development was not well received by many supporters of the MMORPG.
The head of the game is also said to have dealt with threats and doxxing (the publishing of private information such as name or address). This was one of the reasons why the social media around the game were shut down so quickly.
What type of game was TitanReach actually? TitanReach was supposed to be a modern RuneScape. The game does not rely on classes and instead focuses on 3 gameplay styles: melee, ranged, and magic. Accordingly, there were various equipment and attributes that players could improve.
A major focus was on additional skills like fishing, mining, or smithing, which players should be able to improve over several levels. The game also promised varied quests, dungeons, and raids, PvP in certain areas, and a player-controlled economy.
What do you think about the course of development? Would you have liked to see TitanReach as a fully-fledged MMORPG?
Other MMORPGs that were financed through crowdfunding have also faced allegations of fraud, including the game Oath, which was announced in 2019:
Many players are complaining about slow progress in the new Battle Pass of Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone. Even after many hours, some players have made little progress. There seems to be a solution to the problem, but not everyone will like it.
The pass can be purchased for €10 and gives you more than 100 items in exchange for playtime
However, the new Battle Pass stresses players in Warzone: Some have only ketchup-speed progress – the solution likely brings the old CoDs
Is the Battle Pass in Season 2 broken?
On the discussion platform reddit, players are discussing the Battle Pass of Season 2 in a large thread. Within 19 hours, the topic gathered nearly 300 comments.
The thread creator “mutatedllama” chose the headline: “1 hour of playing = 1/3 Battle Pass level” and apparently addressed many CoD colleagues with that.

Dozens of players report in detail how much they have played and what progress has been made. Call of Duty: Vanguard seems to be affected by the problem as well.
Much frustration can be read from this:
As ColdPeasMyGooch writes: “I’M FRUSTRATED TOO! It’s not just Warzone, it’s the same in Vanguard. […] I used a 2XP token just to see some progress.”
Also, Battle Pass veteran tmac416 is sure that something has been changed: “I don’t know what they did. I’ve always completed the Battle Pass since its release, but something is definitely wrong now.”
Other commentators claim that slow progress at the beginning of a season is quite normal. CoD has been doing this for a long time, and one should wait a few weeks until the XP rates return to normal.
However, no one presents evidence for such a theory.
The Battle Pass seems to have some issues in Season 2.
Do all players have the problem? Now it gets a bit curious – because some players in the thread report that they can’t replicate the problem.
nola_mike finds the progress to be okay and says: “Last night I played almost 2 hours of Caldera Collision and moved from level 20 to 26.”
Also, FritsfromHolland can’t see a difference: “Yesterday played a bit of Warzone and Rebirth. Maybe about 5 hours. The Battle Pass is now at level 20 or so. For me, it doesn’t feel like it’s slower.”

How can I bypass the problem now? If you also feel your Battle Pass progress isn’t moving, but you want to level it up quickly, then you apparently need to switch games.
In the older CoD titles, where you can level up the Battle Pass, everything seems to be running as usual. In Cold War and CoD MW 2019, the pass fills up quickly. There are many comments in the reddit thread that confirm this.
However, free-to-play players of Warzone have nothing to gain from this. Feel free to let us know in the comments if you have similar concerns with the Battle Pass.
