Among other things, there are now campaigns for the factions that you will encounter in the game. They provide you with equipment and deliver information about the game world.
Additionally, more enemies will be added – or rather: variants of existing foes. Among others, you will encounter new versions of the “Strider”, “Rattler”, “Crusher”, and “Marauder.”

Streamer Asmongold has become a well-known figure on Twitch with World of Warcraft. He was recently crowned the “best MMORPG streamer” at an event. He accepted his award in a cluttered room without showing up in person. Even colleagues find it “authentic” and laugh.
Who is the streamer? Asmongold is the largest MMO streamer on Twitch and even ranks among the Top 10 overall (via sullygnome). He became known for his rather nerdy demeanor and his content related to World of Warcraft.
For some time now, however, he has been streaming various titles, including Final Fantasy XIV and especially Lost Ark. He even broke his viewer record with it and has been playing it almost exclusively when he streams.
Why is he the “best MMORPG streamer”? On March 13, 2022, the Twitch Streamer Awards took place, hosted by streamer QTCinderella. It is an unofficial event, but it attracted over 350,000 viewers simultaneously live.
Asmongold received the most votes and won the award. However, he was not even present for the ceremony, instead accepting the award via video – recorded from a messy room. The speech starts at minute 13:27:

In his clip, he explains why he deserves the award. Not because he plays particularly well or shows up consistently. But because he doesn’t even leave his house when he receives an award. That’s what makes a true MMORPG player.
Of course, this should be taken with a wink. In the background, you can see several soda cans and fast food remnants, which seem to have been intentionally arranged to convey the image of a classic “basement kid.”
This approach apparently resonated well. Even a fellow streamer on Twitch praises Asmongold for his appearance – or rather for the lack of one. Psychiatrist Dr. Alok Kanojia, also known as Dr. K or HealthyGamer_GG on Twitch, said in a stream:
The speeches felt so in line with the people who gave them. It was epic how the person who became the best MMO streamer didn’t show up. […] How cool is it that you don’t even have to be physically present to receive an award?
All of this is highly authentic to what gamers are. Dr. K himself was nominated at the awards in the philanthropic streamer category but lost to JackSepticeye.
Especially Asmongold is known for embodying the stereotype of the gamer who sits at home all day. While it is a role he plays for the stream, it has also contributed to his success.
Many people in the WoW community are particularly interested in his opinion, even if he hardly plays anymore:
Dr Disrespect talked about his “Midnight Society” in a stream. The team is working on a project that aims to fully involve the community – and NFTs also play a role.
What was the stream about? On December 14, 2021, Dr Disrespect announced that he now has his own development studio called “Midnight Society”. Among the team are developers from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Halo Infinite.
However, the announcement contained little information about the project, other than the description that they would be developing a “PvP multiplayer game from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5.” There were hints of a “vertical battle royale,” but nothing confirmed yet.
Now, the Doc went into more detail about the plans.

This is how the presentation went: In the stream, Dr Disrespect generally talked about “Day Zero,” which is today: “I feel great today and I’m very excited about the ‘Day Zero’ within the Midnight Society,” he said.
Basically, the studio is working on a game, but wants to fully involve the community and fan ideas. “This is going to change the industry. You are involved before it has a name,” said the Doc: “The community will be part of all stages of the game’s development process. This will be a very transparent approach to game development. This is what we’re creating here.”
What is certain is that in the end, a multiplayer PvP game is expected to emerge. Much more is not known about the gameplay. He called it “Codename: Project Moon” – but then immediately joked about it.

In the stream, there were generally some designs to see as well as the website of the Midnight Society. And then the Doc spoke extensively about a type of Founders campaign people could participate in. NFTs are supposed to play a role in this.
In the stream and on the website, there is information about the “Day Zero Community,” which is supposed to consist of “Claws” and “Variants,” and access passes that can be purchased. A total of 10,000 such passes are to be issued to players who apply for them, costing $50. If more players apply, it will be evaluated which players appear the most engaged (via midnightsociety.com).
This is how to participate: Anyone who gets such an access pass will rank up from “Claw” to “Variant.” Then they will receive things like custom, tradable designs, early access to game builds and weapon tests, and – importantly – voting rights regarding things like game features.
Additionally, you can now secure a “Series 0 Patch” for free, which will only be available for a limited time. This collectible is an NFT, for which you need a wallet connected to the Midnight Society.
With the Series 0, it won’t stop: There will be more collectibles coming that represent milestones and events in development. These will also be tradable NFTs.
The Doc explains in the stream that he keeps talking about NFTs, but he also clarifies: “You don’t need to have NFTs to play the game. It will not change your experience when it launches. You cannot buy victory. It will stay free to play.”
The next-gen upgrade of GTA Online is live and aims to bring graphics and performance up to date for Xbox Series and PS5. However, many players argue about whether they should find the implementation on the already third console generation good – some love it, while others just laugh about it.

What do players think about it? The upgrade meets with very mixed feelings on its first day. The mega thread on reddit already has over 1,600 comments (15.03.22, 18:30) and they range from:

What is being criticized? Many of the top comments in the thread revolve around the loss of the last-gen character when transferring to the new console.
If you want to play your familiar gangster on PS5 or Xbox Series, you have to transfer your save file completely and the “old” character will be deleted.
Since there is no cross-gen play, you can’t mess around in GTA Online with friends who are still on the old consoles PS4 and Xbox One.
WORMYASH: “Who thought this kind of transfer was a good idea? How am I supposed to play with my friends, for whom it is impossible to get a new console?”
Another point of criticism is that some players hoped for more from the update.
The user “H0vis” asks the group how the improvement of the upgrade is going and gets responses from an Xbox and a PlayStation player:

Another issue is technical glitches after launch, which developer Rockstar is already working on.
Especially a bug with the character transfer unsettled players because there was a black screen and it wasn’t clear whether the character was safe or not. The bug has mostly been fixed by now.
What is being praised? Some players are also coming forward who are completely satisfied with the upgrade. Even if they are clearly in the minority in the mega thread on reddit.
Ziiner writes, for example: “As someone who has spent hundreds of hours in GTA Online but rarely plays, I am glad that it finally has 60 FPS. That was honestly one of my biggest problems with the game.”
Especially players on PS5 are pleased with the upgrade. For the first three months, GTA Online is available for free as an upgrade and the complete game GTA 5 for €9.99. On Xbox, the online upgrade costs €9.99.
LogicGU on reddit: “The game feels much smoother on PS5. It is absolutely worth the upgrade. Never going back to PS4.”
However, there is also backlash, as some players expected the entire upgrade to come for free.
Is the upgrade worth it? There are a lot of players who hoped for more from the upgrade. And these players are noticeably frustrated. Therefore, it highly depends on what you expect from the next-gen upgrade.
If you occasionally check in on GTA and play for a few hours, then the upgrade may be worth it for you as it visually enhances a fun session in between.
However, if you thought there would be much new to do and GTA Online would experience a big resurgence, then you will be disappointed. It remains the old GTA, just a bit prettier.

What happens when you buy a graphics card like a loot box? A YouTuber tried it, and the result was disappointing. MeinMMO explains why you shouldn’t do that.
What is this action about? A seller had offered graphics cards from a loot box on Amazon some time ago. Our colleagues from GameStar reported about these loot boxes with graphics cards. The offer seemed rather unserious to our colleagues:
You pay around 110 Euros for a loot box that contains a graphics card. The problem is that you first don’t know what you are buying. The provider even explained that even modern graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia – for example, a GeForce RTX 3090 – could be in the loot box. However, the likelihood of getting a high-end model from AMD or Nvidia is extremely low.
A YouTuber wanted to try out what he could get for a price of around 100 Euros. In the end, the YouTuber was quite disappointed and said that no one should try this.

Which YouTuber did this? JayzTwoCents belongs to the well-known tech YouTubers and deals with graphics cards, processors, and almost everything related to hardware. He has 3.6 million subscribers (as of March 15, 2022) and typically gets between 300,000 to 500,000 viewers per video.
What did he get? In his video, he showed that he bought one of those strange loot boxes. He jokes with his colleague behind the camera about what one could possibly get for 100 Euros.
When he finally opens the package, he can hardly believe his eyes: A pretty small graphics card with a yellow fan comes out. At first glance, the YouTuber knows that this graphics card is certainly not worth 100 Euros. Because even during unpacking, it is noticeable that the graphics card does not offer a DisplayPort or an HDMI port.
This graphics card is what the YouTuber got for 100 Euros.
After several attempts, he manages to get the graphics card to output an image, and he can finally see on the PC what kind of graphics card he actually bought. It turns out to be an ATI Radeon HD 3450. This is a 14-year-old graphics card that originally celebrated its release in 2007. With this graphics card, you can’t play modern games.

What is the YouTuber’s conclusion? The YouTuber clearly states that no one should buy these loot boxes on the internet. The offer not only looked bad but also turned out to be a scam in the experiment. The graphics card is definitely not worth 100 Euros. Even if you currently have little chance of getting a good graphics card, the money is not worth it.
Also, you would theoretically have to invest thousands of Euros if you really want to get a good graphics card from these loot boxes.
