The new adventure incense in Pokémon GO can attract rare Pokémon. However, due to the World Cup event that runs until tomorrow, using it is even more worthwhile than usual.
What kind of incense is this? In addition to the “regular” incense, Niantic activated a new type of this item, the adventure incense, weeks ago. The item lasts only 15 minutes, but if you move while using it, you may encounter rare creatures like Galar Articuno.
This makes the incense generally good. However, along with the World Cup event, one trainer noticed that you can secure certain moves.
That’s why you should use the adventure incense now
The trainer shows: On reddit, user deanz3 writes, “Rhyperior learned Rock Wrecker from the Daily Adventure Incense”. Deanz3 also published two screenshots, before and right after the catch, which prove his statement. You can see the screenshots here on reddit .
Why is this good? Due to the active World Cup event, some Pokémon can currently learn moves that they can only learn on special occasions such as Community Days. An event like this rarely occurs, and it should be taken advantage of. Rhyperior is a very popular attacker in raids. With a moveset consisting of Smack Down (Fast Move) and Rock Wrecker (Charged Move), this Pokémon deals particularly high damage. Thus, Rhyperior becomes the best Rock attacker in Pokémon GO.
The fact that you can get Rhyperior with Rock Wrecker from the Daily Adventure Incense is therefore quite strong. It should also be noted that the other Pokémon that can now learn special moves during the World Cup event will also know these moves when caught. Rhyperior is not an isolated case, but an example.
A trainer writes in the comments that he caught a wild Gyarados and it knew the move Aqua Tail. In general, it is worthwhile to be on the hunt for these Pokémon.
How long does this last? You can find these special moves in the evolved Pokémon until the end of the World Cup event. It runs until Tuesday, August 23, at 8:00 PM local time. So it is worthwhile for you to walk around with the adventure incense today and tomorrow and pay attention to the spawns. Maybe you’ll also find some strong Pokémon along the way.
Today, on August 22, the latest chapter in Elder Scrolls Online is released. It is called Lost Depths and continues the main story of the game. MeinMMO author Mark Sellner had the opportunity to play one of the new dungeons in Lost Depths with the developers and had to be careful not to let an undead steal his soul.
What have I played? Practically for the first time The Elder Scrolls Online. Even before the MMORPG was released, I played the beta a bit. After the release, I played for at most a few weeks. After that, I left ESO behind personally, at least until I knew I would be allowed to play the latest dungeon from Lost Depths with the developers.
So I dusted off the old account, played the tutorial at least once more to have the basics down and not to embarrass myself completely, and I was ready. By the way, I was given a character at maximum level with the best equipment for the dungeon, and one of the developers always made sure that I didn’t lose too much health.
I can’t say much about the actual difficulty level of the dungeon. However, I can say how much fun I had on this outing.
Here you can see the trailer for Lost Depths:

ESO shows gameplay trailer for Lost Depths – “I cannot understand why this is not getting more attention”
Lost Depths comes with two new dungeons. One is the Earthroot Enclave, which tells the story of the Bretons’ legacy. The other is the Core Depths, where a somehow magical ex-pirate invites us to explore why all ships sink in a reef.
The decision of which dungeon to play was left to me. Not surprisingly, I immediately jumped onto the ship, which shortly thereafter, just as unsurprisingly, sank and left us, along with the pirate Dhulef, stranded on an island. The start of the Core Depths dungeon.
The first boss is waiting before we really get started
How does it start? The magician-pirate Dhulef has a plan despite the minor shipwreck, so my group and I follow him across the island. Already in the first minutes, I encounter various monsters that challenge us. By the way, also completely new enemies that look a bit like raptors with oversized heads.
During our trip across the island, the developers explain to me that there are many secret passages in the Core Depths. Unfortunately, we don’t explore any of them together, but I repeatedly spot paths on the island that obviously do not lead to the objective. A delight for those who like to explore, because there are plenty of these branches throughout the dungeon.
The Core Depths feature a total of three bosses. The first guards the gate to the underwater world on the island. There I realize that there are not only new monsters but also new mechanics.
Successful boss fights: Just before the first boss starts, I need to have his new mechanic down. A random member of the group receives a debuff that shortly thereafter explodes around the player. This explosion must be directed toward one of the glowing earth holes on the ground, or it hurts.
Once this is completed three times, the boss starts. For me as a total ESO newbie, the mechanic is easy to grasp, but not always easy to implement in the chaos of battle. I initially lacked overview, but quite quickly I even placed the fields correctly.
The other boss fights in the dungeon are also very well executed and pleasantly challenging, at least for me as a newbie. The pattern of mechanics, which are easy to understand but relatively hard to implement, runs through the entire dungeon. I personally find this particularly successful. In this way, noobs like me and experienced players can be challenged equally.
Of course, there are also challenge modes for the bosses in the Core Depths. Given my overwhelming lack of experience in ESO, we opted to keep these disabled. However, anyone looking for a greater challenge will definitely find it.
One of the coolest underwater levels ever
Attention to detail impresses: As soon as it goes hundreds of meters down from the island, the dungeon becomes truly impressive. We enter an underwater fortress built by dwarves. The mixture of the ancient ruins, the technically appearing structures, and the undead slithering through the corridors immediately draws me deep into the story.
Besides undead opponents in the ruins, there are friendly ghosts around every corner. They belong to the ships that sank over the years and must now spend their existence here. I keep seeing tragic individual stories when I look out the window of the underwater fortress.
Ghosts trying to pull a deceased friend from beneath a shipwreck, weeping ghost women standing before the corpse of their husbands. All of this in an impressive ocean, where fish, corals, and various wreckage create a great atmosphere.
This love for detail runs throughout the entire underwater world and captivates me. I keep making the developers wait for me because I stop in front of one of the windows, marveling at what I can see. However, they are pleased to see me excited.
Also not annoying outside the walls: Most underwater levels are a bit annoying, as every gamer who has ever played Super Mario knows. So I was a little skeptical when we actually went into the open ocean from the underwater ruins.
But here, ESO surprises me with my personal highlight of the dungeon. As soon as we enter the treacherous sea, Dhulef envelops us in large bubbles, with which we can overcome the distance to the next room.
In the overall course of the Core Depths, this section takes up at most a few seconds. But it’s just incredibly cool to have the freedom to dash pretty much boundlessly through the ocean in a bubble and see all the aforementioned details up close.
Because the actual goal of this bubble section is just “run from A to B”, which I found incredibly difficult because I wanted to explore and observe. The details here are also impressive and leave a lasting impression on me. The Core Depths are definitely one of the coolest underwater levels I have ever played.
My soul leaves my body
The combat highlight: At this point, I really don’t want to spoil too much, but a combat highlight for me was the final boss of the dungeon. This boss has various mechanics to watch out for, but one particularly stuck in my mind.
The evil final boss tries to steal my soul from me during the fight. Although I managed to evade it for a long time, it eventually got me. And I’m glad I was hit. Because the following mechanic was the best part of the whole fight.
If the boss hits me with this attack, my soul leaves my character’s body and is transported to a kind of limbo. Here I am left to fend for myself, my team must manage without me, and I without my team.
In this limbo, I continuously lose health points and must try to capture my soul as quickly as possible. To buy myself some time, I can also absorb the souls of poor ghosts, which regenerates a bit of HP. In sheer panic, I try to find my soul while also trying to understand the mechanic.
Some nostalgia: At the same time, the fight reminded me a lot of the raid boss Dhuum from Guild Wars 2. Here too, I lose my soul and have to win it back under time pressure, otherwise my team has massive problems and I die.
Even Dhuum was one of the coolest boss fights in my MMORPG career due to this mechanic, and the final boss of the Core Depths can also convince. In the end, I don’t survive the soul loss. Nevertheless, it was a lot of fun to try.
In general, this applies to a large part of the dungeon. As a complete noob, I simply didn’t understand much of what happened on the sidelines and in the fight. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun and, thanks to the mechanics of the bosses, could still be a help to my team and not a burden.
The new dungeon convinces me. I can’t compare it to other ESO dungeons, but I have played many MMORPGs that featured many dungeons. The Core Depths are definitely among those I won’t forget.
If you still have an ESO account, I can only recommend getting it back out. Lost Depths and the Core Depths are definitely worth it. At least if you want to see a really cool underwater dungeon.
All classes of Diablo Immortal in the tier list. Which is the best? Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Monk, Wizard, Necromancer, and Crusader in the ranking.
What do we show in the ranking? We show you the tier list of all classes at the launch of Diablo Immortal. Additionally, the various applications such as PvP, PvE, speed farming, or solo play.
We will regularly update this list for you, as balance changes and new builds can lead to a redistribution especially in the first weeks. Current status as of August 22, 2022.
Last update: Since the release, much has changed in Diablo Immortal. For many experts, especially one class is considered “the best”, while the others are significantly weaker. We have adjusted the tier list accordingly for you.
What is the basis of the tier list? The above ranking shows a general assessment of the classes. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Being good in PvP does not necessarily mean being good in raids. For the assessment, we looked at several tier lists from websites such as WoWHead and experts like DM: Diablo Immortal (via YouTube) and compared them. Our own experience also plays into this ranking.
This tier list applies not only to challenge rifts, but also represents a general assessment of the classes.
Next, we would like to discuss each of the classes and clarify their advantages and disadvantages for you. Keep in mind that our tier list and recommended skills primarily target players at level 60. However, they can also be used while leveling.
Demon Hunter – Builds and Rankings
Rankings in various applications:
Solo: 3/3 points
Group Dungeons: 3/3 points
PvP: 1/3 points
Noob Friendliness: 2/3 points
Which builds are good? For solo players, it is advisable to take the skills Crossbow Shot, Revenge, Vengeful Shot, Multishot, and Bold Swing. This way, you are quite fast in PvP as a solo player and deal high damage to single targets.
With its skills, the Demon Hunter is suitable for solo players, but also in groups. Even without group buffs, the class is well-received in multiplayer content thanks to high mobility, multishot, and high single-target damage. Due to the relatively easy handling of the skills, the Demon Hunter is well-suited for “noobs” who are new to the game.
In the following video, you can see the six classes with gameplay:

Diablo Immortal: All 6 Classes in Brief Overview with Gameplay
Barbarian – Builds and Rankings
Rankings in various applications:
Solo: 3/3 points
Group Dungeons: 2/3 points
PvP: 3/3 points
Noob Friendliness: 1-2/3 points
Which builds are good? Barbarians look very strong at first glance, but they struggle significantly with single-target DPS. For a strong solo build, we recommend the skills Flesh Wound, Sprint, Wrath of the Berserker, Hammer of the Ancients, and, yes, you guessed it, Whirlwind. True to the motto “Spin to Win”, you will shred through opponents.
For group play, it is recommended to use “Demoralize” instead of “Hammer of the Ancients” and “Frenzy” instead of “Flesh Wound”.
In PvP, you are doing well with Immortal Fury and Furious Charge as well as Whirlwind, Frenzy, and Sprint. The Barbarian is considered in Diablo Immortal to be a class that is easy to play but difficult to master.
On the next page, you will find skills and rankings for Crusaders and Monks.

The fans of World of Warcraft are screaming, because the coolest raid is now the worst dungeon. Karazhan hurts. Really hurts.
The current season in World of Warcraft brought a lot of variety, but also a whole range of problems. Especially one of the formerly most popular raids is now a dungeon that many want to avoid. The old tower of the guardian Medivh is so hard that entire hordes (and alliances) of “Mythic+” veterans simply avoid it.
Which dungeon are we talking about? We are referring to Karazhan. It was a raid in “The Burning Crusade,” but was later revamped in “Legion” into a “Mega-Dungeon,” which was then split into two smaller instances.
Now, in season 4, the two dungeons are back and offer strong items as rewards, but also a lot of frustration. Both “Lower Karazhan” and “Upper Karazhan” cause problems and present many groups with insurmountable obstacles.
Numbers back up the problem: In the WoW Subreddit, the community looked at the statistics and listed the number of dungeons completed on time at “+15 or higher” this week, which is based on the data from raider.io:
Dungeon Name
Completion min. M+15 (US)
Lower Karazhan
3,646
Upper Karazhan
11,266
Iron Docks
16,201
Grimrail Depot
16,617
Mechagon: Workshop
17,171
Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit
20,255
Tazavesh: Streets
21,240
Mechagon: Junkyard
24,291
While “Junkyard” and “Tazavesh: Streets” were completed extremely often, the number of successful dungeons drastically decreases in Upper and even more so in Lower Karazhan. Just under 2,000 successful runs occurred in recent days on the American realms.
The “Lower Karazhan” is thus the hardest dungeon that hardly any groups can complete at high difficulty within the time limit, but the “Upper” variant is also unpopular.
Karazhan causes chaos – and fear of the dungeon.
However, one must take into account that the community reaction plays a role in the numbers. After all, the Lower Karazhan has gained a bad reputation, and fewer groups are attempting this dungeon at all. This in turn only reinforces the effect that hardly any group completes the key stone there – it is a vicious circle.
What makes Karazhan so difficult? There are a whole range of problems that come together in Karazhan:
Bosses and mechanics are too hard. There are extremely many “oneshot” mechanics, where a single mistake causes the group to fail immediately.
There are many trash enemies that also have devastating abilities.
Some ground effects (for example, with the Curator) have a much smaller target circle than the actual effect afterwards has on the ground.
New spell effects from current expansions make it difficult to recognize the small effects from enemies that deal significant damage.
Affixes like “Explosive” cause problems. Because many additional enemies summon so many explosions that it’s barely possible to keep up with eliminating them.
This is what the community says: The perception of Karazhan in the community is devastating. For many groups, a keystone above difficulty +10 in Karazhan is an alarm signal that leads to an immediate withdrawal. Currently, Karazhan keystones are seen as a “waste of time.” Here are some opinions from the WoW Subreddit on this matter:
“I have no idea what the hell happened on the PTR, but Lower Karazhan somehow managed to get absolutely overtuned through.”
“My keystone for Lower Karazhan is basically trash. We just can’t do it. This is +15. I play in Europe and we have Westfall story [as a theater event]. That’s clearly way too hard and the only barrier. Honestly, all the theater bosses are terrible.”
“Season 4 made me realize that WoW desperately needs a revamp of its spell effects. So much junk happens that you can only see extremely difficult. Then throw in abilities like the spear from Bastion and it’s literally impossible to see the negative stuff sometimes.”
It seems that only drastic nerfs could still save the dungeons in the community’s perception.
What do you think about the current “Mythic+” season and Karazhan? Is the dungeon just hell or not as bad as everyone thinks?

Guild Wars 2 confirms its Steam release for August 23. The developers announce this in a press release. Additionally, there is a new package for purchase and for the first time Twitch Drops for the MMORPG.
When is GW2 coming to Steam? Many hints already indicated the release, but now it is officially known. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Guild Wars 2, the popular MMORPG will be released on Steam on August 23. There you can download the game for free and play starting at 9:00 AM.
With the release, the developers at ArenaNet are hoping to attract and excite many new players to the world of Guild Wars 2. Accordingly, there is a new package in the Steam shop, specifically aimed at new fans of the MMORPG, but it may also be interesting for veteran players.
What new package is available? Coinciding with the launch on Steam, the “Complete Collection” of the MMORPG will also be available on the platform. For around 100 euros, you can purchase all the expansions that Guild Wars 2 has to offer.
Included in the package are:
The first expansion Heart of Thorns
The second expansion Path of Fire
The latest expansion End of Dragons is also included

First Twitch Drops for Guild Wars 2
What drops are available? On August 23, the support for Twitch Drops in the MMORPG will also begin. You can link your game account with your Twitch account and earn coveted rewards for watching.
From August 23 to 28, the first drops will be available in Guild Wars 2. These include classic skins, EXP boosts and even an exclusive skin that makes your eyes glow purple.
Downside for existing fans: A bit of the mood among fans is still somewhat subdued. Existing accounts, that is, all those who already play Guild Wars 2, will not be able to log in via Steam. Linking these accounts will not be possible, and they will have to continue using the old launcher.
Many in the community had hoped until the end that this would change, but now it is not the case. At least players from Steam and “old” fans can play together, as the servers that Steam players are on are the same.
What do you think about this? Are you already playing Guild Wars 2? Or have you always wanted to check it out and the Steam release offers the perfect opportunity? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
In Pokémon GO, you can secure a new weekly box starting from August 22. We at MeinMMO have looked at which item you can expect in it.
Which box is it about? Every week you can buy a so-called “Weekly Box” for one PokéCoin in the in-game shop of Pokémon GO. While this always provided coveted Remote Raid Passes until the end of the Alola season, there are now other weekly changing items since the start of the Season of GO.
Now the contents of the next box are known. What it brings you and from when you can get it, we have summarized for you below.
You will get this in the weekly box starting August 22
What’s inside? In the past weeks, the Pokéminers, a group of data miners, have accurately predicted the contents of the upcoming boxes. And today, they published the contents of the new box on their Twitter channel, which will be available in the game starting August 22.
Accordingly, you can expect the following item for one PokéCoin:
1x Magnetic Lure Module
Recommended editorial content
At this point you will find external content from Twitter that complements the article.
I consent to external content being displayed to me. Personal data can be transmitted to third party platforms.
Read more about our privacy policy.
For several weeks now, only one item can be found in the 1-coin box. Often, modules have been used. However, since there was a Lucky Egg in the box last week, it seems that Niantic is still testing which items are truly interesting for players.
When will the box be available? The weekly box will be available in your in-game shop starting August 22, 2022, at 06:00 local time. If it is not displayed after this time, it is best to restart the game once. Afterwards, the box should be found next to the other packages in the shop.
How long can you secure the box? As usual, the box will be available for purchase in the in-game shop for an entire week. Please note, however, that you can only redeem it once. After that, you’ll have to wait for the next box. This will appear in your game starting August 29.
How do you like the contents of the new weekly box? Will you secure the Magnetic Lure Module? Or do you already have enough of them and prefer to save the coin? Feel free to share your opinion with us in the comments here on MeinMMO.
Many trainers in Pokémon GO primarily want one thing: to catch tons of Shinies. We’ve summarized which specimens are the favorites of our MeinMMO author Franzi Korittke and where you can get these Shinies in this article.
Which Pokémon are involved? Whether in the wild, in raids, from rewards, or from eggs – there are numerous ways to collect the little pocket monsters. But especially one category has captivated players, the so-called Shinies.
These are special versions of the respective monsters that look visually different from their original forms. And that’s exactly what fascinates trainers, which is why the colorful specimens are eagerly hunted and collected.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Ponyta is a Fire-type Pokémon from the 1st generation and can evolve into Rapidash with the help of 50 candies. It also has a Galar variant.
What do I like about it? I especially like the shiny Kanto form of Ponyta. In my opinion, the pony already makes quite an impression in its normal variant with the flames on its body. In its shiny form, these flames are even more distinct due to their blue color, making it appear particularly special.
This design was also continued with Rapidash. In its shiny form, the flames shine in a light dark blue tone. However, I like the vibrant blue of Ponyta’s flames much better, which is why this monster is one of my absolute favorites and secures the 10th place in my ranking.
Where can you secure it? Ponyta spawns mainly in the wild during sunny and clear weather. With a bit of luck, you might also encounter a shiny specimen there.
Rank 9: Umbreon
Umbreon normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
What kind of Pokémon is this? Umbreon, a Dark-type Pokémon from the 2nd generation, is one of the 8 evolutions of Eevee.
What do I like about it? While shiny Eevee appears quite pale with its light body, Umbreon looks impressive to me. I find the blue accents on its black, cat-like body much more fitting than the yellow ones of the original.
In my view, Umbreon appears much more elegant, making it one of my absolute must-haves, which I also like to show off in a raid.
Where can you secure it? Umbreon can occasionally be found in research tasks, but also in raids. However, it cannot be caught as shiny there. To secure a shiny Umbreon, you must first catch a shiny Eevee and then evolve it. You can find Eevee in the wild, but sometimes also in research and in eggs.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Charizard is a Pokémon from the first generation. This Fire and Flying-type Pokémon is the final evolution of Charmander, which is one of the starter Pokémon of the Kanto region. Charizard also has two temporary Mega Evolutions: Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y.
What do I like about it? While Charmander and Charmeleon barely differ visually in their shiny forms, shiny Charizard stands out color-wise. Its black body immediately catches the eye and looks quite impressive.
Charizard seems much more graceful to me, and I must admit that I generally prefer its shiny form to the normal one. I use it much more often in raid battles or to defend a gym. Additionally, both Mega Evolutions also look good in their shiny forms.
Where can you secure it? You can find Charizard in the game in several ways. You can catch it after a corresponding Mega Raid. However, it also spawns in the wild and can be obtained from various rewards.
Alternatively, you can also catch a shiny Charmander and evolve it. You can also find this in the wild or from rewards.
Rank 7: Psyduck
Psyduck normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
What kind of Pokémon is this? The Water-type Pokémon Psyduck comes from the 1st generation and can evolve into Golduck with the help of 50 candies.
What do I like about it? The blue Psyduck always makes me believe that it has probably been underwater too long and has hardly any oxygen left. And yet, I find this design simply really cool and totally love it. It stands out significantly from its normal form.
And the design has also been maintained with Golduck. However, I find it a shame that it does not differ much visually from the original. Therefore, I can’t get excited about this shiny much. However, with its cute appearance, Psyduck makes up for it and secures my 7th place.
Where can you secure it? You can find Psyduck mainly in the wild during rain, but it also appears in the rewards from research tasks or occasionally with Team GO Rocket.
Rank 6: Rayquaza
Rayquaza normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
What kind of Pokémon is this? Rayquaza is a legendary Dragon and Flying-type Pokémon. It comes from the 3rd generation and has no pre-evolutions or evolutions. You can recognize it by its green, long, dragon-like body.
What do I like about it? The shiny variant of Rayquaza is also significantly different from its normal form. It has a black body covered with red and yellow accents.
While most other legendary Shinies barely differ visually from their normal forms, Rayquaza is one of the few where the difference is clear. This color scheme blends very well with its overall appearance, making it my personal rank 6.
Where can you secure it? You can occasionally find Rayquaza in level 5 raids and from rank 20 in the rewards of the GO Battle League. With a bit of luck, you might also encounter a shiny specimen.
Rank 5: Luxio
Luxio with hat normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
What kind of Pokémon is this? Luxio is an Electric-type Pokémon from the 4th generation. It evolves into Luxray. Luxray can especially be a strong Electric attacker.
What do I like about it? The shiny form of Luxio does justice to its name, as it adorns the Pokémon in a golden-yellow hue, reminiscent of a star. What I particularly like here is that this color is retained throughout its evolutions.
While with other monsters, like Bummelz, the original color of the shiny disappears upon evolution, Luxio and Luxray maintain this design. Therefore, I also like their evolutions accordingly.
One of my absolute favorites is also the Luxio with a hat. It looks quite impressive and is also a bit rarer than the normal Shinies. However, I find it a shame that it cannot be evolved.
Where can you secure it? Luxio is one of the Pokémon in the game that you can’t find on every corner and that only occasionally appears. Outside of special events like Community Day, you are unlikely to find it in the wild. However, it can sometimes be seen in level 1 raids or in eggs.
Rank 4: Clamperl
Clamperl normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
What kind of Pokémon is this? Clamperl is a Water-type Pokémon from the 3rd generation. The small shell can evolve into Huntail and Gorebyss.
What do I like about it? I already really like Clamperl in its normal form. The opened blue shell is just adorable. However, in its shiny form, it also shines with the bright purple shell.
Its evolutions also visually differ from their normal forms and look quite nice in green and yellow. However, out of this evolution line, shiny Clamperl is my absolute favorite, which is why I would only develop the other two Shinies for the Pokédex.
Where can you secure it? You will most likely encounter a wild Clamperl during the rain. Alternatively, you can also lure the Pokémon using a Glacier module. If you want to have shiny Huntail and Gorebyss as well, you need to evolve a shiny Clamperl. You can read what you need to consider in our article:
What kind of Pokémon is this? Horsea is a Water-type Pokémon from the first generation. It evolves into Seadra and then into Kingdra.
What do I like about it? I like the entire evolution line of Horsea. Even though the different evolutions vary in their shiny display and different colors were chosen by the developers, I still find them coherent and fitting for each monster.
Shiny Horsea shines in a strong turquoise color, which stands out significantly from its otherwise delicate blue. Seadra also impresses as shiny with a cool color combination of purple and red, while Kingdra showcases itself elegantly in purple. Each of the monsters therefore appears absolutely unique, which I really like.
Where can you secure it? You can particularly encounter Horsea in the wild during rain. However, if you want to secure shiny Seadra and Kingdra as well, you only have the option of evolving a shiny Horsea.
Rank 2: Gyarados
Gyarados normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
What kind of Pokémon is this? Gyarados is the evolution of Magikarp and belongs to the Water and Flying types. The monster from the 1st generation has a temporary Mega Evolution and is a popular candidate for raids.
What do I like about it? While Gyarados’s normal form already makes quite an impression with its dragon-like blue body, its shiny form looks, in my opinion, primarily intimidating.
In this case, the bright red Gyarados also appears very graceful, which I think suits this Pokémon perfectly. Therefore, it is one of my absolute favorites and secures the 2nd place in my personal ranking.
Where can you secure it? To secure a Gyarados, you can defeat it in Mega Raids and then catch it. With a bit of luck, you might encounter a shiny. Alternatively, you can also catch a shiny Magikarp and then evolve it.
It spawns particularly during windy and rainy weather in the wild. You can also find it in rewards from research tasks or occasionally in eggs or through Team GO Rocket.
Rank 1: Kyogre
Kyogre normal (left) and as Shiny (right)
What kind of Pokémon is this? Kyogre is a legendary Water-type Pokémon from the 3rd generation. The giant whale has no pre-evolutions or evolutions, but it can impress with its strong stats, making it one of the best Water attackers in Pokémon GO.
What do I like about it? Even though many may be wondering, “Who needs a pink whale?”, Kyogre is by far my favorite shiny. I have simply fallen head over heels for this pink monster.
Even though I’m often told that the color does not suit such a legendary Pokémon at all, I think Kyogre looks very graceful as a shiny. The pink is, in my opinion, the perfect counterpart to the blue of its normal form, which I also find very pretty.
Where can you secure it? Kyogre can occasionally be found in level 5 raids. There you might also encounter a shiny specimen with a bit of luck. At the same time, you can also find it in the rewards of the GO Battle League starting from rank 20.
Yes, in addition to my personal top 10, I also really like other Shinies in Pokémon GO. I particularly enjoy designs where the shiny specimen significantly differs from its normal form. This includes, in my opinion, the following monsters:
Furnifraß
Feelinara
Barrikadax
Pottrott
Glibunkel
Traumato
Moterpel
Kryppuk
But I also really like Bummelz and Dratini. However, it’s a shame that the evolution line hasn’t continued in a similar style. I don’t find these at all appealing.
Additionally, there are also many Shinies that are not yet catchable in the game. I’m sure that in the future, one or another will end up on my favorites list.
Which shiny Pokémon are your favorites? Why do you particularly like them? And which new Shinies would you like to see soon in Pokémon GO? Feel free to share your opinion with us here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss with other trainers about it.

Attention is important: Rainbow Six Siege is currently unique because the shooter is different from all others in many ways. You must shed all habits from CoD, Battlefield, and others to be successful in this extensive title. Wandering aimlessly around the map and engaging in every fight does not work just like listening to loud Dubstep and running straight into the enemies. Being attentive is the be-all and end-all.
You must pay attention to your surroundings; otherwise, you might overlook a booby trap in the doorframe or the hidden camera that reveals your position. In any case, you definitely want to avoid one thing in Rainbow Six Siege: the enemies knowing exactly where you are.
Once your position is known, you must prepare for a quick operator to flank you or a nitro cell with remote ignition to send you to oblivion, which clever defenders placed under the wooden floor beneath your feet and detonated.
If you have never seen the launch trailer for Rainbow: Six Siege, you can catch up on that now:

The gameplay of Rainbow Six: Siege
What is Rainbow Six Siege about? In Rainbow Six: Siege, everything revolves around the siege of a building. The PvP shooter divides players into two competing teams, each consisting of 5 operators. The defenders must protect various objectives against the attackers.
The defenders have the unique abilities of their characters as well as gadgets like barbed wire and mobile shields at their disposal. They spawn in the building and prepare it for the attack of the enemies. They can reinforce up to 10 walls with metal, barricade doors and windows, close holes in walls and floors, and occupy various positions and rooms within the building.
The attackers must capture the objectives within a timer and can also access the unique abilities of their characters. Additionally, they have gadgets like fragmentation and flashbang grenades or breaching charges to destroy walls and floors. They spawn outside the building and can use a rope to access the roof or enter a room through a window – the floor does not matter.
The winner of a round is the team that either eliminates all 5 opposing players or captures the objective or, in the case of defense, protects it until the timer runs out. Which objective you must capture depends on the game mode played. If you are playing the competitive “Ranked” mode, you must always defuse one of two bombs. In the more casual mode “Quick Match,” you can also enable the subcategories “Hostage” and “Secure Area,” allowing for hostage rescue or the securing of a biohazard container.
In “Secure Area,” your objective is a biohazard container in the middle of the roomIn “Bomb,” you must defuse one of two bombs or prevent the defuseIn “Hostage,” you need to defend or evacuate a hostage
The chess among shooters
Errors are severely punished: In Ubisoft’s tactical shooter, you must play every single round with brains. Compared to other shooters, Rainbow Six: Siege is roughly the chess of shooters. Every playable character has different abilities and strengths and should be utilized accordingly.
With the right combination of different characters, you force your opponents to act and determine what they should do next based on your strategy. For example, if you are defending a bomb by occupying the room above it and observing the entrances to the bomb room through holes in the floor, your opponents must first drive you out from above before they can defuse the bomb.
Use your abilities wisely: It is also important not to use your abilities recklessly, as that can backfire significantly and leave your own team in checkmate.
The defenders have gadgets that prevent you from blowing up a wall. The EMP grenades from the operator “Thatcher” temporarily disable such operator gadgets. They can become crucial to allow your teammates the tactical opportunity to blow up a wall.
However, if you have already foolishly thrown away the EMP grenades before the disruptive gadgets at the wall to be blown up were removed, this situation won’t arise. This decreases your chances of winning the round since a wall remains intact that could have brought your team victory.
Similarly, a wall where a hole is supposed to be shot can become a disadvantage if it is reinforced with metal. A wall that must be reinforced to provide cover and safety should never be destroyed.
Bandit can prevent the destruction of a hidden wall with his batteriesAn EMP grenade deactivates enemy devicesThe EMP grenades from Thatcher should be used strategically
Operators provide tactical diversity
The operators are the playable characters of the tactical shooter. They all differ fundamentally and have different abilities, weapons, and gadgets like fragmentation grenades and claymores (anti-personnel mines). Currently, there are 64 different operators in Rainbow Six Siege – 32 defenders and 32 attackers.
You can earn a new operator, among other ways, by spending 25,000 renown. This is the in-game currency of the tactical shooter that you get by finishing a match or a challenge.
These are the 32 attackers in Rainbow Six SiegeThese are the 32 defenders in Rainbow Six Siege
At the start of each round, you choose an operator that cannot be played by multiple players at the same time, similar to the champions in League of Legends.
Additionally, you should choose your operator thoughtfully, as your team’s composition significantly affects your chances of winning. The operators form the backbone of the tactical shooter, as each brings a unique playstyle.
Many operators work exceptionally well in collaboration with another. Some situations even require the combined use of different abilities. Thus, it is already important when selecting the character you play to make tactical decisions and think about how you want to proceed.
A creative composition of your team will not only be rewarded with increased chances of winning but also provides a varied gaming experience. With the wide range of different team compositions, it is possible for nearly every played round to feel different – even if you play the same map multiple times in a row. Therefore, you have an influence on how monotonous or varied your playstyle is.
In Rainbow Six: Siege, the composition of your 5-person team is important.
Unmatched destructibility of the map offers tactical finesse
This is the most important tactical element: Besides the operators, Rainbow Six Siege is primarily characterized by one thing: Destruction.
Each map in R6S is designed to creatively attack or defend different rooms. That’s why there are numerous walls that you can completely destroy, thus creating new access points or escape routes. The holes you shoot or blow in a wall can even create interesting angles that might surprise one or the other enemy.
These angles arise especially when it is not just a simple wall, but you blow up the ceiling above your opponent or even the floor beneath them, making a once-secure position quickly become a death trap.
Destruction of the map is also usable by both defenders and attackers. Moreover, not only defenders can set up tricky angles, but attackers can also breach the ceiling above a defender holding an important position. Also, blowing up a wall is an effective way for attackers to completely remove an enemy player’s cover.
The destruction of a map using the example of Consulate: If you want to make the attackers’ lives difficult in Rainbow Six: Siege, you create as many angles as possible with the destructibility of the maps that an attacker must concentrate on.
In the following images, you can see a possible tactical setup. For illustration, we took the map Consulate and edited the top floor, where in this case the bombs are also located.
A tactical hole in a wall not only serves as an angle or to throw gadgets that are supposed to prevent defusing the bomb. It is also a new access to a room, in this case to the bomb spot “Meeting & Consul Office”.
The hole in the wall is an important access point to defend Meeting. The holes create new angles at the windows in the Consul Office.Important rotation paths and angles for defending Meeting & Consul Office
Another practical angle on the map Consulate arises when you shoot holes in the walls between the so-called “Yellow Stairs” and the “Consul Office” with your shotgun.
This way, as a defender, you can see when an attacker takes cover behind the desk or wants to place the defuser. You can also see when your opponents enter the office through the window.
A frequently underestimated angle in R6S:
But the destruction of ceilings and floors also creates angles in R6S that your opponents must pay attention to. A defender can, for example, look through the hole in the floor of “Meeting” at a door in the room below him. The door leads into the lobby and is an important access point for attackers to enter the building.
In R6S, you can create vertical angles on many maps.
However, you should keep in mind that every angle can be used from both sides. Additionally, attentive attackers can conclude from the hole in the ceiling that a defender is sitting there and looking down. The attacker could approach the hole from below in a blind spot and eliminate the defender with a cooked fragmentation grenade through the floor.
If you are now wondering what it looks like from the attacker’s perspective when you blow holes in various walls, we have the answer: It is terrible because you must concentrate on many different angles.
Even if you face this tactical setup as a team, it requires a lot of communication and the use of your gadgets to defuse a bomb there. If there were no holes in the walls, there would only be one angle for attackers to focus on in the Consul Office: the door, at which the visor is also aimed in our picture.
The unfavorable perspective of an attacker in the Consul Office.
A game that continues to evolve
Why is Rainbow Six: Siege still so good in 2022? What Ubisoft definitely deserves credit for concerning Rainbow Six Siege is that they continuously work on the title. Since the game was released almost 7 years ago, it receives an update every three months with new operators and a new map or at least a rework of a map.
Changes to operators and maps constantly change the game’s meta. This means that now different operators and weapons may be strong than they might have been in 3 or 6 months.
This is also reflected in the regularly held e-sport events, which still excite thousands of spectators. If you want to know what is currently strong in Rainbow Six Siege, you can find a professional match to watch nearly anytime, which can reveal interesting strategies and tricks.
However, not only e-sport events and updates with new operators or maps bring fresh wind into the tactical shooter. Ubisoft also organizes regular in-game events that bring fun modes into the game. These can be played for a limited time. The current event is called “M.U.T.E: Flesh and Metal” and is a kind of gun game. The event runs until August 23, 2022.
Year 7 brings important “Quality of Life” adjustments
But Ubisoft is not just bringing fun modes into the game that are meant to entertain for a short time. Especially in the current seventh year, Rainbow Six Siege received two new additions that the community was very excited about: the long-awaited shooting range to test and train weapons and the deathmatch mode for warming up.
Also, the match replay system, which allows you to watch entire matches from the perspective of each individual player afterward, is something that is also desirable in many other shooters like Valorant or Escape from Tarkov.
Pro
Destruction of the maps offers incomparable tactical opportunities
Different combinations of operators allow for varied gameplay
Still receives new content and improvements after 7 years
Simple and intuitive weapon behavior
Active e-sport even in the amateur area
Contra
Large selection of operators and their abilities can be overwhelming at first
Map knowledge is essential, but requires a lot of time
Generally not beginner-friendly
Conclusion: A shooter for tactical lovers
Who is Rainbow Six: Siege interesting for?
Rainbow Six Siege is a shooter that primarily targets fans of strategic gameplay. With the combination of the most diverse operators and the destructibility of maps, the tactical shooter offers countless ways to attack or defend a map. Even professionals discover new ways and tactics that suddenly prove to be extremely strong after almost 7 years.
In no other shooter do you have the opportunity to customize the map through pure destruction and the deployment of various gadgets so individually.
However, if you want to play a shooter where you run mindlessly through the map and turn off your enemies, perhaps while listening to music and having relaxed conversations, then Rainbow Six: Siege may not be for you. But if you want to measure yourself strategically against your opponents while having straightforward weapon behavior, then Ubisoft’s tactical shooter is precisely right for you.

The online shooter Fortnite is known for collaborating with major pop culture brands like Star Wars or Dragon Ball; they bring skins and even game modes from these worlds into the shooter. Now insiders and dataminers report that a collaboration with the shooter Destiny 2 is set for the week starting August 22. Images of 3 skins with a Fortnite look that are supposed to come to Destiny 2 are circulating. The Titan is getting a skin that Fortnite players would do a lot for.
Is this confirmed? No, this is not officially confirmed. However, several insiders, dataminers, and leakers have researched and confirmed it.
The leak originated last night, August 20, at 11:30 PM German time. Ginsor shared the image of 3 skins that are supposed to come to Destiny on Twitter. Since then, these skins have been circulating (via twitter).

From left to right: Titan (Black Knight), Warlock Hunter. Apparently, well-known skins from Fortnite are the template.
The Titan’s skin references a famous skin in Fortnite that was available in Season 2: The “Black Knight” – many Fortnite players would give a lot for this skin.
The other two skins are references to Omega (Hunter) and Drift (Warlock), also iconic skins from Fortnite’s past.
What is the deal with these collaborations? Fortnite is known for collaborating with major pop culture brands. This allows players to walk around in Fortnite as Stormtroopers from Star Wars, as football players, basketball players, or Marvel superheroes.
Sometimes, Fortnite goes a step further and introduces a special mode based on the other game into Fortnite itself: There have already been Star Wars modes or a strong Borderlands influence.
Some consider Fortnite to be an attempt to create the “metaverse”: a place where many culturally significant brands intersect.
What is the question now? Now that we know what the skins are like that are coming to Destiny 2 and bring the Fortnite flair, the question has arisen: Which skins are coming to Fortnite? Destiny 2 doesn’t really have a main character – that is actually the player. Are they bringing Cayde-6 or Zavala?
Additionally, the idea is circulating that Destiny 2 might come to the Epic Game Store.
How is this being discussed? Players of Destiny 2 view players of Fortnite critically. On Twitter, one person says they find it terrible that people walk around in Fortnite with a character like Cayde-6 without having any idea who that is.
Generally, however, Destiny players find the new skins quite impressive.

Fortnite and Destiny don’t have much to do with each other, but on a meta level, their paths crossed in 2018:
Almost every MMORPG has the dungeon finder feature, but not everyone likes it. What is your opinion about it?
This is the Dungeon Finder: The feature is a group search tool for players who want to enter instanced content like dungeons or raids in MMORPGs. While in “old-school” MMORPGs players had to search for others manually and ask in chat, the dungeon finder does this automatically.
Over the years, the feature has spread within the genre, and hardly any modern MMORPG that offers instanced content is released today without the dungeon finder. However, it is not popular with all players, as highlighted by the heated debate about the feature in WoW Classic: Wrath of the Lich King.
Proponents of the Dungeon Finder argue that the feature saves them a lot of time. You don’t have to search manually for a group and wait forever for everyone to be ready, but are automatically placed in a suitable group.
Opponents of the Dungeon Finder believe that the feature removes a large part of the social interaction from the game. Without it, you have to interact with other players and actually play together, which is one of the most important aspects of an MMORPG.
Both sides provide arguments in discussions for their side and against the other, but a resolution is rare. Often, players like and dislike different things about the dungeon finder and set different priorities when playing.
This is how you can vote: You can express your opinion on the dungeon finder in the survey tool below. Everyone has one vote, and the choice cannot be undone.

Tell us your opinion about the dungeon finder: Is it a practical feature, or has it killed social interaction in MMORPGs? Is it more important for you to find dungeons quickly and efficiently, or do you prefer the old system with more interaction? Let us know in the comments.
On the PC platform Steam, the person behind the gladiator simulation “Domina” uses the patch notes to spread his political views. This has negative consequences for him: alongside poor reviews from disgruntled players, he has now also been banned from the Steam forum for his own game. Valve has clearly threatened to throw him and his game off Steam.
What kind of game is this?
Domina is a €20 gladiator management simulation on Steam, released on April 3, 2017.
The reviews are actually “mostly positive” (78% positive). Critics also acknowledge that the game was developed with dedication.
Recently, however, many critical reviews have been coming in because the man behind the game is behaving toxic and aggressively. He uses the patch notes to spread controversial views.
The GameStar even calls the game “grandiose”:
Suddenly, patch notes are about OnlyFans, wasted semen, and masks
What messages does “Domina” spread in the patch notes?
As the site PC Gamer writes, it began to get strange in May 2022. In the patch notes for version 1.2.89 Beta, the developer wrote in a footnote (via steam):
Some men do not want to fight. They are weak. […] Strong moral fortitude is hard to attain. You earn it through hard work and sacrifice; it does not come through OnlyFans or Pornhub. No. Those damn things are demonic obsessions waiting to show you succubus breasts, hoping that you waste your semen, […]
In the patch notes for v 1.3.18, alongside some lines about how the game has been improved, there was also a statement about masks (via steam):
Take off the damn masks! Next time you are in a grocery store, try showing a woman your face. Be confident, fearless against THE LIES.
Conflict with Steam escalates
How has this escalated now? The controversial messages in the patch notes trigger a backlash. The game, which was previously well-reviewed on Steam, now has a “mostly negative” rating (only 33% positive) in the “Recent Reviews” section.
The reviews mainly revolve around statements made in the patch notes. The developer does not want to let this stand.
This apparently leads to an escalating conflict:
He writes these messages in the patch notes
Users write negative Steam reviews for Domina
The developer marks these reviews as fraudulent
Steam moderators later retract this marking
This enrages the developer greatly
In a post on August 6, the developer furiously announced about Steam’s treatment of him: It is “doubtful” whether Domina will receive further updates via Steam. If this bothers people, they should contact Gabe Newell (via steam).
His ship would sink, and “he would not give a shit about that”.
Some people support the developer in his views—especially the criticism of masks is well received by some. Others openly mock the man.
Steam bans developer, clearly threatens to remove from Steam
This is the escalation now: As the developer behind Domina himself writes, he has now been banned from the hub of his own game. He has violated the community guidelines for the second time, specifically, he has “flamed another user”.
Additionally, he is “abusing” people whom he bans from his hub. If he continues to violate the rules, it could “jeopardize our business relationship,” Valve writes to him.
In general, he should stop reversing decisions made by Steam moderators.
The Steam moderators are therefore threatening him quite clearly with the removal of him and his game from Steam.
This is how the developer reacts: He calls the people from Steam “Stupid Fucks”. They should confront him in a “man-to-man” fight.
They are: losers, clowns, garbage. The developer apparently has no desire for de-escalation.
It looks like it is only a matter of time before “Domina”‘s time on Steam is up.
Indie developers can sometimes be peculiar. A significantly better way of dealing with “a big corporation” was found last year by the developer of the Steam hit “Terraria” when Google crossed him:
Night elf fans in World of Warcraft are howling incessantly – at least that’s what Cortyn from MeinMMO thinks and wants to analyze.
The story of World of Warcraft is often a big topic. Not everyone likes where the story is heading; some would rather see their own vision of the story realized in WoW. But especially one group seems to have become very sensitive in recent months and years: hardcore night elf fans.
What’s going on with the night elves? The night elf nation has been under quite a lot of pressure in recent expansions. With the destruction of Teldrassil at the beginning of “Battle for Azeroth,” about 90% of the night elf population in the WoW universe died, and Tyrande’s quest for revenge began, which for many ended unsatisfactorily as Sylvanas did not die completely but has to search for souls in the Maw.
Datamining from the Alpha of Dragonflight shows that night elves will also play an important role in the upcoming expansion. It is likely that an incident will occur where the Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage must descend into the Shadowlands to facilitate Ysera’s rebirth in Azeroth – a trade-off to maintain balance.
Even though the exact details of the quest, the decision-making process, and all the particulars are not yet known, the outcry in the night elf community has already been enormous. Story writers are once again being severely insulted, the “everything was better back then” faction is on the rise, and there is generally so much criticism of the night elves in the last two years that I’ll casually summarize this as “howling”.
The demand is clear: things should finally get better for the night elves; they should no longer suffer setbacks, and rosy times (without thorns!) should dawn, during which the nation can thrive without problems once again.
Night elves introduced as a suffering race
Losses and setbacks are natural in a story, and some suffer more than others. Night elves should actually be used to this. Already in Warcraft III, they endured much. Their elven forests were largely desecrated and deforested by the orcs, the demigod Cenarius was slain, and the World Tree Hyjal lost the power that made the night elves immortal during the explosion of the Emerald Dream.
It is precisely these stories of loss and coping that have sparked such strong interest in night elves—along with their culture and everything that makes the Kaldorei what they are.
And yes, in the end, this dissatisfaction with story developments is somehow natural. One is no longer in the process of falling freshly in love with the game world and the characters; they have already grown close to one’s heart, and now one wants to see how the story unfolds and hopes that they are happy and satisfied. I can understand that desire, but if you think about it longer, it simply falls apart.
The night elves are who they are because their nation has repeatedly been exposed to massive problems. Whether it was the first invasion of the Legion 10,000 years ago with the shattering of the world, the Third War in Warcraft III, or just recently the War of the Thorns.
Night elves have more story than any other race
To put it simply: the complaints of some night elf fans really annoy me. The most absurd accusation is that Blizzard always provides so little new story for the night elves. Every other race supposedly received so much more story, while the night elves merely occupy a minor role and are almost “forgotten.”
I often wonder if players really believe that or are just still half-stuck in the emerald dream. Since “Cataclysm,” night elves have been prominently featured in almost every expansion and have had several interesting and exciting quest lines, if not entire areas devoted solely to their culture.
In Cataclysm, there was much new night elf lore. The “old” areas were at least overhauled. Ashenvale, Feralas, Darkshore, and the Felwood—all traditional night elf areas offered new stories with deeper backgrounds. Additionally, there was Hyjal, the sacred World Tree of the night elves, which players had previously only known from Warcraft III.
Although Mists of Pandaria focused heavily on the Pandaren, night elves also had a very interesting appearance here. The search for the Spring of Youth in Krasarang is one of the most fascinating and interesting quest lines revolving around the Kaldorei. How they attempt to regain their immortality—and what they are willing to sacrifice for it.
The “Legion” expansion could have simply been called “Kaldorei-Story.” The zone of Azsuna mainly revolves around ancient night elf culture and the spirits of elves who lived many millennia ago. It provided more information about Azshara, her followers, the faith of Elune, and magic within the night elf nation—and on top of that, it included the first confirmed homosexual relationship between two night elves. The same applied to Val’sharah. Here, it strongly focused on druidism, the Emerald Dream, and the priesthood of Elune, as well as the former aristocracy of the night elves. The dungeon “Ravencrest” is pure night elf story.
This image of Tyrande drew many to the night elves.
It continued into Suramar. Here, the Shal’dorei, night elves who have developed differently, are in focus. There was also contact with the Moon Guard, a legendary order of night elf mages who fought in the War of the Ancients.
Oh, and before I forget: The Tomb of Sargeras had an incredibly interesting number of night elf details. After all, the entire raid is built in an ancient Elune temple, which also had an additional dungeon.
Battle for Azeroth had the War of the Thorns, the destruction of Teldrassil, the loss and retaking of Darkshore, Tyrande’s ritual that turned her into the Night Warrior, the escape of the elves, and a whole lot of war actions during the war campaign alongside Shandris.
Shadowlands featured the Night Fae campaign, which could easily be called the “Night Elf campaign,” as it primarily focused on the search for Tyrande, the souls of the night elves, and even a confrontation with the moon goddess Elune herself.
And all of this is just the night elf content that comes to my mind at first. I haven’t even mentioned new stories about the Shen’dralar and other splinter groups.
So, when night elf fans complain about a lack of story, I carefully point the finger at Goblins, Gnomes, Worgen, Tauren, and Blood Elves. Their stories have hardly moved since their introduction if a leader was taken down somewhere.
Absolutely every other race in World of Warcraft can only wish for so much “screen time” and such an important role in the story, whether in terms of the big cosmic threats or the small “daily quests.”
As for representation in pure “story time,” the night elves have it incredibly comfortable and should be glad that they will probably play a more significant role in Dragonflight as well.
Tyrande and Malfurion during the attack on Darkshore.
Night elves are the exception to the “Faction Tax”
This is not often discussed in the German-speaking world, but in relation to the Warcraft story, people often mock the “Faction Tax.” This refers to a concept where there are always balancing factors in the story. If something big happens with the Alliance, something similar must shortly happen with the Horde to balance things out.
The Alliance loses Teldrassil and thus Darnassus as a capital? Then shortly thereafter, the Horde loses Undercity.
The Horde loses Vol’jin as warchief in the battle against the Legion? Then almost simultaneously, King Varian Wrynn bites the dust on the Alliance side.
Sylvanas exits as the leader of the Horde in the story? Poof, Anduin disappears from the Alliance as well.
The night elves currently hold a very interesting and fascinating special position here, in my opinion. The quasi-genocide caused by the burning of Teldrassil, in which about 90% of the night elves died, is the only major case where there is no counterpart and thus no “Faction Tax.”
Of course, they are the only race that had to suffer so massively—but that also presents a rather exciting special situation.
Once a huge race, now decimated and having to deal with many problems simultaneously. This is exciting for role players and should be for everyone looking forward to stories from quests or books. The possibilities that arise here for storytelling are fascinating and can bring more individual fates into focus.
However, it’s not just the criticism of the “evil” story itself that is getting on my nerves, but another detail that has become increasingly irritating in recent years.
It’s the desire to change the story of a game, book, or movie that I always find extremely problematic.
That’s why I also think it’s terrible when people want to pressure the developers and story writers to steer the night elf narrative in a specific direction where everything runs perfectly immediately. Because that’s boring. After a major setback, there’s usually a struggle, an adjustment with sacrifices and changes, to create something new from it. Give the developers the freedom to tell it as they see fit.
I fully support pointing out obvious errors in the story and wanting to ensure that the lore remains logical and that obvious contradictions do not occur. A good example was the “Red Shirt Guy” who pointed out to Blizzard years ago that a certain dwarf was not dead, as the developers believed.
But when players try to take control of the exact direction of the story itself, I find that problematic. You don’t have to like every story decision, but in the end, it’s still a story whose content is created by artists.
Malfurions departure creates space for new stories
Finally, I want to end on a positive note. I love night elves. I regularly play one in role play because they have such an interesting and rich history. The night elves have always been a matriarchal society, where women held the power—be it during the reign of Queen Azshara or all the millennia thereafter under the priestesses of Elune. They have been a tribe resembling amazons, very connected to nature, and their faith and closeness to all the “mythical beings” such as dryads, ancients, and demigods has given them a unique mystique.
This is something I think has been somewhat diluted in recent years. The War of the Thorns with all its implications brought this “wildness” back to the forefront and reminded me why I always thought night elves were so cool.
Tyrande and Shandris could take on more important roles – without Malfurion.
If Malfurion, as one of the most powerful personalities among the night elves, now disappears from the scene, then the Kaldorei will again be almost completely under Tyrande’s rule as High Priestess of Elune. This allows for much development back to the “old” night elves as we once knew them and simultaneously has the potential for internal conflicts with elves who have embraced the new lifestyle alongside different races or in dealing with magic.
Malfurion’s departure is, if it comes to pass, of course sad for all who wanted to see this relationship deepen at long last. Even after 10,000 years of separation, they still do not have a happy ending.
However, if Malfurion disappears and a new World Tree is planted, it has an incredible amount of potential—and one should simply look forward to that. Because if the night elves were to have a “happy ending” now, it is likely that their character development as a race would also come to an end.
And then the night elf fans would indeed have a reason to cry.

The German scene in League of Legends is booming in 2022. Now, a second division match of the Prime League has reached about 70,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch. Because the biggest German Twitch streamer for League of Legends, NoWay4U, faced off against Eintracht Frankfurt with his LoL team “NNO” in a playoff match.
Why is one considered a retiree in LoL at such a young age? The fan account of “No Need Orga” (NNO) refers to the team as a “retirement team.” Because NNO consists of some of the biggest German Twitch streamers for LoL, some of whom have already passed the age of 30.
additionally, South Korean professionals must fulfill mandatory military service and cannot avoid it indefinitely – unless you are Faker
Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger (30) is the second largest German Twitch streamer and plays competitively in LoL with success.
5 of the biggest German Twitch streamers for LoL play in a team together
Who plays in the team? In No Need Orga, 5 Germans play, all of whom have a Twitch channel, and these are among the largest LoL streamers in Germany, as measured by the viewer hours in the last 7 days:
So many were watching: On the official channel of the Prime League, nearly 45,000 people tuned in. Many also watched the match on the channel of Jona “JustJohnny” Schmitt. He had Maxim, a legendary caster in LoL, as a guest.
Both channels together peaked at over 70,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch (via reddit).
JustJohnny and Maxim had so much fun in their stream that they made it onto reddit with “champion imitations,” where the English-speaking community was astonished to find that Germans actually have a sense of humor.

What happens next? In the final of Division 2 of the Prime League, NNO will face Hertha BSC. The match will take place on August 23.
The streamer JustJohnny has already announced that he will have Maxim and HandofBlood with him.
This could turn out to be quite a spectacle.
A driving force behind the boom of the Prime League: He founded his own team.
Toxic fans are also a problem in German LoL
Is there also a bittersweet aspect? Caster Johnny addressed the fans almost two weeks ago in an appeal: German viewers should be less toxic in the Twitch chat and not immediately type every hateful thought into the world.
It seems to be a problem that LoL cannot shake, no matter who is currently playing.

Destiny 2 offers much story and information about its universe and the characters within. Therefore, we are putting your knowledge to the test and asking you, how well do you know Destiny 2? Test yourself in our quiz!
In Destiny 2, things are getting exciting as new content in the form of Season 18 and its accompanying reveal is coming on August 23. Until then, almost all Guardians are either on vacation or dabbling in other games. To provide you with a bit of variety and to increase your anticipation for the upcoming season, we have come up with a quiz for the loot shooter.
More about the new Season 18, leaks, and dates can be found here:
What knowledge is being tested? We test your complete knowledge about Destiny 2. Since with Witch Queen the focus was also placed on the Hive, some statements regarding this have also crept into our quiz.
However, there are no prerequisites, and any player, regardless of knowledge level, can take on the quiz.
How does the quiz work? In our trivia quiz, we present you with 12 statements that you must label as true or false. For each correct answer, you will earn points. At the end, the quiz generates a result with your achieved level. So prepare yourselves and impress the Vanguard:
Dieses Quiz ist geschlossen.
That was our tricky quiz about Destiny 2. How did you find the difficulty and the statements made? Were you able to distinguish well between true and false, or did you completely lose yourself in the statements? Feel free to share your result with us and discuss with other Guardians.
If you’re looking for another Destiny 2 quiz, we have created a flip quiz about cool weapons for you:
MultiVersus is a free-to-play brawler that lets characters from the “Warner Brothers” universe fight against each other in colorful battles. MeinMMO has looked at all the characters, examined their strengths and weaknesses, and compiled a tier list of the best fighters.
How did this tier list come about? To deliver you the best fighters from MultiVersus, we look at current trends from players and professionals and mix that with a dose of our own experience.
Every player perceives the fighters differently, prefers certain playstyles, or may not connect with a character at all. Therefore, view our tier list more as a recommendation and not as fixed fighters that must be present in every match.
Whenever there are balance changes in MultiVersus or new characters, we will adjust our list and keep you regularly updated.
More about the author Maik Schneider: For Maik, games need to offer a challenge. He wants to be tested and improve after being played against the wall. Fighting games are exactly what that is about.
Street Fighter 5 was his entry into the genre in 2016, and he trained hundreds of hours with his arcade stick until the combos finally landed. For a while, he lost interest, but with MultiVersus, he returns to fighting games and particularly likes to use the DC heroes to “smash” his opponents.
MultiVersus: Tier List – 1vs1
S-Tier
Finn, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark
A-Tier
Jake, Shaggy, Tom & Jerry, Harley Quinn, Superman, Batman
B-Tier
Garnet, Wonder Woman, LeBron, Giant from space, Velma, Taz
C-Tier
Dog, Steven Universe
MultiVersus: S-Tier – Best Fighters in 1vs1
Finn – Assassin
The character from “Adventure Time” wreaks havoc in Season 1 through the arenas of MultiVersus. His attacks have huge hitboxes, allowing for easy hits, and he has strong smash attacks both up and down.
Additionally, he has his crazy coin shop through which Finn can acquire advantages, a good pace in combat, and strong attack chains. Overall good, easy to learn, hard to master.
The classic character from Warner Brothers was considered the over-fighter in the early days after release, and a nerf has already been announced. Mages are generally considered very strong, but also harder to master.
But Bugs makes it easy for you, as he offers strong close combat attacks with large hitboxes and can cause a lot of chaos and damage with his special attacks, knocking enemies out of the picture in seconds.
Arya Stark – Assassin
Arya is striving for greater things following the changes in Season 1 and is a very nimble fighter with a brutal side special attack. This allows for an additional charged strike after a hit.
Moreover, Arya’s moves are easy to connect. New combinations can always be found, making her playstyle hard to predict if you have a few combos down.
Harley Quinn, Tom & Jerry, Jake, Superman, Velma, Wonder Woman, Arya Stark
B-Tier
Dog, Steven Universe, Shaggy, LeBron, Taz
C-Tier
Garnet, Giant from space
MultiVersus: S-Tier – Best Fighters in 2vs2
Finn – Assassin
The swordsman rocks in the team playlist too. His speed and large hitboxes help protect your teammates while dealing a lot of damage.
With his shop ability, you can also adapt your playstyle during the match and adjust even better to teammates and opponents. Right now, Finn is super strong and has virtually no downsides.
Bugs Bunny – Mage
Bugs also annoys in team battles and drives your opponents to despair – if you can handle his tools. With his ACME magic, you constantly spread some nonsense on the battlefield and opponents are always at risk of taking a hard, unexpected hit.
In addition, his strength in close combat makes the mage Bugs Bunny an all-rounder who is capable of handling any task in the right hands.
Batman – Bruiser
Batman scores in team battles with his speed and can switch sides of the arena in the blink of an eye. This allows you to focus on the enemy fighter who actually doesn’t want to engage in close combat.
If you can use Batman’s insane speed to throw off opponents, your teammate has enough space to deal a lot of damage.
In our tier list, we rank the fighters from MultiVersus based on their subjective strengths. We mix our opinions on the fighters from the editorial team with trends from players and professionals and look at the current rankings in the game.
This is what the rankings mean:
S-Tier: Very strong, possible nerf on the way
A-Tier: Well balanced, not too strong or too weak
B-Tier: Somewhat weaker, but still a good choice
C-Tier: Currently struggles to compete
However, keep in mind that every player perceives the fighters differently and there can be significant deviations between different tier lists that you find. What is a C-Tier for us might be overpowered in the right hands.
We aim to reach an average of the general opinions and are also happy for you to help with that.
Leave us a comment if you see fighters at other levels or if you want to share your opinion about the fighters.

In The Division 2 there is a very special exotic light machine gun that not only reminds us of a former elite boss but also of a major farming exploit. MeinMMO takes a look back at the past of The Division and tells you the story of the legendary Loot King.
Who or what is Bullet King? In The Division, the predecessor of The Division 2, Bullet King was initially just the name of one of many elite bosses in the open world. He only became truly famous when a groundbreaking exploit made him the favorite farming spot for players.
Thanks to the boss of the Rykers faction named “Bullet King,” an agent in The Division could obtain superior weapons, Phoenix Credits, and, with some luck, even high-end weapons in no time.
To achieve this, players simply traveled to the safehouse “Autumns Hope” and made a quick detour to the street to the left of it. There, the Rykers boss was waiting to be killed. His guards, however, were spared. After that, players fast traveled back to the safehouse, and meanwhile, Bullet King spawned again. The fun could thus begin anew.
Bullet King became a cult figure in The Division due to an exploit.
In a way, Bullet King is sort of the first loot cave of The Division. His lucrative farming spot spread through the community like wildfire and players enjoyed one or more audiences with him.
The exploit, however, also significantly disrupted the crafting economy of The Division at the time. It took Ubisoft a good 5 days to respond and implement a fix that removed all named bosses from the open world as soon as they were defeated for the first time. This made it impossible to exploit this exploit and thus also Bullet King further. But by then, many players were already well-equipped.
A loot legend was born: However, the royal influence of Bullet King extended far beyond patch 1.0.2. The Rykers boss had already become a cult figure among players and the ultimate “Loot King” about whom legendary stories are still told today.
In the weeks and months that followed, the community repeatedly expressed desires for some kind of monument for him. Ubisoft eventually complied.
The Division honors Bullet King as a true legend
Honor to whom honor is due: In a later update, Bullet King received his monument. First in The Division and later even in The Division 2.
Similar to how Destiny 2 once did with its famous loot cave, Ubisoft also created a tribute to the Bullet King farm spot in The Division.
Attentive agents discovered it after update 1.2 on a semi-truck parked right at the corner where the former elite enemy could also be found. It featured a magnificent Bullet King graffiti in vibrant colors.
The location quickly spread, and players rushed there to salute the King once again.
Many agents saluted before the Bullet King graffiti in The Division, as DANNYonPC
And even the successor The Division 2 received further tribute for him with Title Update 8, when the exotic LMG Bullet King (translated as “Ball Hell”) came to the game, which is also named after the popular elite enemy.
For this, Ubisoft outfitted the standard LMG IWI Negev with massive gold and wrapped a long ammunition belt around it. The Ball Hell was born and dropped exclusively from Rikers bosses.
Even the exotic talents of the weapon are as unique in The Division 2 as its predecessor:
The Ball Hell practically never needs to be reloaded, as its magazine mod is “a miraculous magazine with seemingly endless capacity.”
If you hit an enemy with 100 bullets, you automatically get ammunition back. So you can afford to hold down the trigger a little longer if something tries to crawl away from the DPS monster.
Additionally, the LMG offers a group buff that also brings some ammunition to your allies. Especially when playing with directives like “Ammo Shortage,” this is helpful.
Bullet King becomes even better when combined with the Sharpshooter specialization, as these LMGs are optimally supported.
Finally, anyone inspecting the weapon can also read a written tribute from Bullet Queen, the sister of Bullet King and the boss from one of the side missions in the Warlords of New York expansion.
Let’s drink to my brother. If he had used the [weapon], he would have never run out of bullets.
Bullet Queen
The Exo “Ball Hell” in The Division 2.
This is how you get the exotic LMG Ball Hell: With its strong advantages, everyone playing The Division 2 actually wants a Ball Hell. And for agents who already possess it, the Exotic is solidly integrated into at least one LMG build, so players can just hold down the trigger.
If you’re already level 40 and the Exotic is still missing from your collection, then based on our experience, you have the best chances of getting it as a drop from the end boss in the Tombs or Wallstreet mission. The drop chance exists in every difficulty level, but the higher you select the difficulty, the higher your chances become.
The Bullet King trick is still used by players today
After the farming exploit with Bullet King, players began developing theories about how the boss spawn mechanics in The Division worked and how they could be exploited.
Ubisoft hasn’t completely removed this bug from the game to this day. You can still take advantage of this old trick while looting, for example in the skyscraper “The Summit” on every boss floor.
The elevator takes you to floor 10 in the Summit.
Play on the difficulty level “Normal” until you reach, for example, floor 10. Then return to the lobby and change the difficulty level to “Legendary”.
Afterward, restart the floor. Just like back then with Bullet King, focus only on the elite enemy, ensuring that at least 1 or more NPCs stay alive.
Once the boss is dead, just grab its top loot and return to the lobby.
As long as you leave 1 NPC alive, you will retain the respective floor as a checkpoint, allowing you to farm the elite enemies there, which can also drop Exotics, over and over again.
Did you already know the story of Bullet King and how it inspired one of the best Exotics in The Division 2? And were you perhaps even there when players ruthlessly farmed the Rykers boss? Feel free to let us know in the comments and tell us your coolest memory of The Division.
Currently, The Division 2 is once again on the rise. Season 10 will bring more sets and Exotics to the game. Additionally, the new content that Ubisoft has planned could finally unveil a major secret of the cover shooter. You can find out more about this here:
In Dragonflight, warlocks can summon some hefty demons from World of Warcraft. Even huge pit lords are included.
With the new talent system, a lot changes in Dragonflight for World of Warcraft. Although Blizzard mainly tries to incorporate the “evergreens” into the talents, most classes still receive a few new talents. One of these is now available for the demonology warlock, who can summon some of the most powerful demons in the WoW universe: pit lords.
What do warlocks learn in Dragonflight? Demonology warlocks can learn the talent “Gul’dan’s Ambition” in Dragonflight. This is an enhancement to the “Nether Portal,” allowing warlocks to summon additional demons for 15 seconds whenever they spend soul shards.
“Gul’dan’s Ambition” ensures that at the end of the Nether Portal, one additional demon is summoned, namely a pit lord. How strong this pit lord is depends on the soul shards spent during the activation of Nether Portal.
As is common with other demons, the duration of the pit lord can be extended by 15 seconds if the warlock summons their tyrant.
Pit lords are among the most powerful demons in the WoW cosmos.
What kind of demons are these? Pit lords have been familiar to most players since Warcraft III – it was revealed there that the orcs were corrupted by the pit lord Mannoroth. Mannoroth was subsequently killed by Grommash Hellscream, freeing the orcs from their bloodthirst.
Since then, pit lords have appeared from time to time, mostly as raid bosses or particularly powerful adversaries. They are usually generals or other commanders of the Legion and represent some of the most powerful demons available. Hence, Magtheridon was captured with great difficulty in the shattered world.
What is the problem with this? At first glance, such a ability seems really cool – but upon closer inspection, it could cause some visual problems. A pit lord is quite large, even in the warlock variant. When he charges at a boss, he will likely take up a large part of the field of view, which is especially nerve-wracking for melee fighters. Especially considering that multiple warlocks in a raid could all have a pit lord active simultaneously.
Typically, pets from other players in group and raid content are somewhat “shrunk” for other players, but a pit lord is still an impressive sight.
For the power fantasy of a crazed warlock who can summon the mightiest demons, this is probably a blessing.
Semiconductors are found in graphics cards and processors. Now researchers have tested a new material that could make GPUs much faster in the future. However, it will likely still be a long way off, as the researchers explain.
Semiconductors are small components and are found in many electronic devices. In everyday life, you encounter semiconductors in many places. Without these parts, you wouldn’t be able to use your computer, your smartphone, or any other everyday devices. Without semiconductors, you couldn’t even turn the ignition key in your car.
A research team has now experimented with new materials. They found that these materials are much better than the silicon currently used in semiconductors. MeinMMO explains what it’s all about.
New material could significantly increase semiconductor performance
What is currently in semiconductors? Currently, the industry mainly uses silicon to produce semiconductors. However, silicon has the disadvantage of not being able to conduct heat well. Devices with silicon semiconductors therefore always require a comprehensive cooling system to prevent the chips from overheating.
The industry also tries to make the chips in their devices smaller and faster. But developers are now facing the natural limits of silicon.
What is the new discovery? A team of researchers from MIT, the University of Houston, and other institutions conducted experiments and found that cubic boron arsenide is theoretically a much better material for semiconductors (via meche.mit.edu).
Jungwoo Shin, the lead author of the study, described the new material as a potential “Game Changer”:
Cubic boron arsenide conducts heat 10 times better than conventional silicon.
The study also shows that cubic boron arsenide conducts both electrons and its positively charged counterpart, the “electron hole” (or defect electron), better than silicon.
Both points are weaknesses of silicon. The poor thermal conductivity and the conductivity of electrons restrict the speed of semiconductors. This could mean a huge performance boost for electronic devices.
It could still take years until the new material is used
When could that happen? So far, cubic boron arsenide has only been produced and tested in small, inconsistent lab batches. This is still very labor-intensive and costly.
Therefore, it is also still unclear whether cubic boron arsenide can be produced economically. That would also be a prerequisite for it to potentially replace silicon in semiconductors in the long term.
Gang Chen, a professor in MIT’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, who is also part of the team, explained that scientists also took years to get silicon to the level of purity that chip manufacturers require for their semiconductors. He himself refers to the material as a “promising candidate for the next generation of electronics.” (via fortune.com (Paywall)).
Tips for new hardware: If you are considering upgrading your PC this year and, for example, buying a graphics card, you should definitely get informed about AMD’s RX 7000 and Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series. Because there are already lots of rumors:
