Who is it worth it for? Ragnarok Begins is aimed primarily at fans of the Ragnarok universe who still miss the original. If you weren’t interested in the mobile games from Ragnarok, you should take a look at Ragnarok Begins.
Additionally, the MMORPG is worth it for all anime fans who appreciate cute, but not overly modern graphics. You should also enjoy side-scrollers to find your way in Ragnarok Begins.
When will the game be released? There is currently no exact date. It has already been released in Korea, and we know for sure that it is also coming to the West. A closed beta in North America was recently completed and pre-registration via email has opened. It can’t be long now. On the Steam page for Ragnarok Begins, it currently says ‘Coming Soon’.

MeinMMO editor Maik Schneider has played through and absorbed nearly every campaign of Call of Duty. This will be no different with Modern Warfare 2. As a precaution, he’s already placing tissues on the coffee table – he can use them well when an old CoD story repeats itself.
I can still vividly remember my first few minutes in a Call of Duty campaign. A buddy sat me down at his PC, and I was playing a mission for the Soviet Army. Unlike my comrades, however, my superior didn’t hand me a weapon.
“Unarmed in the middle of a combat area? This must be broken, let’s restart.”
We only realized after a few restarts that this was a story twist intended to showcase the Soviets’ lack of equipment in World War II. However, the fascination with the story campaigns of Call of Duty has never gone away since.
Update, October 24: I’ve completed the campaign and will reveal below in a spoiler box whether I was brought to tears.
Ultimately, only a few such story snippets remained in my head after all these years. CoD has always been more about spectacle, with a pinch of controversy and lots of scripted scenes that put me, as a player, through the wringer and spit me back onto the couch all sweaty.
However, there is a twist in the story of CoD that really hit me hard.
A story so full of pain and misunderstanding that it still causes nightmares as a kind of trauma in the minds of many CoD veterans – and Modern Warfare 2 2022 served everything needed to repeat the story.

It’s the year 2009. With a slight headache from the previous night, I tumble out of my bed in the dorm; the first two lectures have already passed. I skip the third one as it’s release day: Modern Warfare 2.
First, I go into the campaign. The story is murky, wants to lead me astray, portrays friends as enemies.
Just when everything seems to be clarified, a twist hits hard: General Shepherd, actually our buddy in the U.S. Army, betrays the squad around Taskforce 141.
For the general, it’s no big deal; the task force is working unofficially, and Shepherd has no consequences to fear. To present himself as a great war hero, Shepherd wanted to eliminate all traces of Taskforce 141.
He meets with Ghost and Roach at the end of a mission, unexpectedly pulls out a big Magnum, and fires a bullet into each of the two CoD heroes’ chests. “What the hell just happened here?”
Ghost is instantly dead. I, as the player in the role of Roach, lie motionless before the lifeless Ghost. Dramatic music plays in the background as I hear the rest of Taskforce 141 screaming over the radio, under attack by Shepherd’s men – “Do not trust Shepherd!”. But it was too late.
Shepherd douses us with gasoline, takes a deep puff from his cigar, and throws the big smoldering stick into the flammable puddle. My mouth is dry, my eyes are wet. What have they just done to me?

I am sure that the developers of CoD MW2 2022 will pick up something from the old story again. However, I hope they are merciful with me. Otherwise, the tears will roll faster than I can reload my M4 magazine.

Unfortunately, it was not as emotional as hoped. The story from back then was picked up a bit – General Shepherd pulls nasty tricks, the Shadow Company stands against us, and Makarov is at least mentioned.

The opinions on solo content in MMORPGs are divided. Some say they are responsible for its decline, while others argue they save the genre. We at MeinMMO summarize.
MMORPG stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game – yet many of you play alone. This has been revealed by our previous surveys on the topic, one in 2020, and another in 2022.
In older MMORPGs, one was lost without a group, or at least making very slow progress. Today, the content can often be completed just as well alone. Whether this development is viewed positively or negatively for the entire genre varies greatly.
In this article, we refer to statements from various YouTubers as well as comments from players. It is important to note that it is by no means about personally attacking anyone for their playstyle, but merely about highlighting the arguments for and against solo content in MMORPGs.
“Solo players kill MMORPGs”
For YouTuber NoblePlayers, it is clear that solo players are responsible for the downfall of the MMORPG genre. But not only the players, but also the developers who cater to their wishes.
According to NoblePlayers, solo players in MMORPGs could just as well switch to single-player games like Skyrim and it would change nothing about their experience. MMORPGs were originally not developed for solo players.
The encounters with other players, the joint setting out to face new challenges, and the exchange in guilds or groups are the actual core concept of MMORPGs.
For the YouTuber, the genre thrives on the social aspects within guilds and groups that create a community that keeps players in the MMORPG. Players who travel alone, on the other hand, drop a game faster.
He blames solo players for the fact that, for example, his favorite MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic has gotten “worse” over the years since the developers increasingly bring the desired solo content instead of focusing on group content.
However, in the comments under the video, there is more contradiction than agreement. While solo content has changed the genre, it has not ruined it.

“Solo players have saved the genre”
The YouTuber Lucky Ghost discusses the topic extensively in a video. For him, solo players have not killed the genre, but saved it: “Solo content has not ruined MMORPGs, it keeps them relevant.”
A common reason for playing MMORPGs alone, according to our 2020 survey, is that players wish to explore the MMO worlds and content at their own pace without needing to coordinate with others.
For many players, according to Lucky Ghost, the focus is on the main story, which is continuously progressed in MMORPGs when they receive updates. In a solo RPG, the story ends after a few hours and the game is over, which is why it is also worthwhile for solo players to play MMORPGs to have more content. Thus, MMORPGs become an RPG that takes place online.
Additionally, it used to be a big problem for some players to find groups. In games with a holy trinity of tank, healer, and damage dealer, tanks and healers could choose the best DPS for their groups and leave the others out, as most played a DPS. As a result, lesser DPSs had a hard time finding a group. “I was often preferred as DPS and invited to groups, but at other times it was not the case,” confirms Asmongold.
Dungeon finder in modern MMORPGs solves this problem. No one has to deal too much with other players, and no one gets excluded. Now, players without friends find it easier to find groups for content and are “no longer standing for hours in the city looking for teammates.”
In general, MMORPGs with a lot of solo content are more successful, explains Lucky Ghost. He cites Lost Ark, New World, and Final Fantasy XIV as examples. Thanks to this content, there are more players in MMORPGs because most prefer to play alone, as our survey results suggest.

The 17-year-old American Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins is a hot gaming star on YouTube, but he keeps causing scandals. Now, on Saturday, October 22nd, he spoke with famous soccer players during a livestream on YouTube. In the process, he shared the private phone number of Alphonso Davies: The Canadian plays left-back for FC Bayern and has an estimated market value of 70 million euros. Only seconds after the leak, Davies’ phone practically exploded from a barrage of messages and calls, as the 21-year-old Davies recounted on Twitch.
This was IShowSpeed’s plan: In a stream on October 22nd, IShowSpeed apparently intended to call professional soccer players.
He asked professional footballer Jesse Lingard from Nottingham Forest for his phone number via Instagram, which the latter also freely gave. Then, IShowSpeed had a FaceTime conversation with Jesse Lingard. So far, so good.
IShowSpeed wanted to do the same with Alphonso Davies, the star defender of FC Bayern. The 21-year-old Canadian footballer Davies has already played 15 times for Bayern this year. His market value is estimated at 70 million USD (via transfermarkt.de).
IShowSpeed is a young, successful gaming YouTuber who has quickly powered his channel to 10 million subscribers with music videos and TikTok clips. He is an enthusiastic soccer player and hip-hop artist. IShowSpeed frequently messes up badly and causes public outrage, which he excuses by his young age.
The phone number of Davies is immediately visible during the call
This went wrong: In a hurry, IShowSpeed asked for Davies’ private phone number on Instagram and received it:
IShowSpeed apparently saved Davies’ number with the wrong first name “Anthony”. The plan was that only Davies’ name would be displayed during the call via the stream.
But already during the call, the plan went wrong and the full number of Alphonso Davies with the German area code was live on YouTube.
Since the stream was live, the YouTuber could no longer cut or blur it out – the number was now out in the world. At that moment, 92,000 people were watching IShowSpeed.

Here you can see the call and that the situation immediately goes south.
How did IShowSpeed react? He quickly realized what had happened and eagerly switched away, but the number had already been visible for several seconds.
IShowSpeed apologized to Davies, saying he was sorry. He ran his hands through his hair and said: “God bless America, I’m sorry.”
Davies replied that his phone was glitching and hung up.
IShowSpeed was visibly uncomfortable with the situation. He swore to God, his father, and his life that the phone number was leaked unintentionally. He did not intend to do that at all.
According to IShowSpeed, it was because Alphonso Davies had his camera off, which made the number visible.
How does Davies react? Shortly after, a video of Davies appeared where he says:

This is how Davies viewed the incident in hindsight: Alphonso Davies runs a Twitch channel as “Thatboydavies19” with 345,000 followers – he is not online there very often.
In a Twitch stream on Sunday, Alphonso Davies addressed the incident (via twitch). Davies explained, he didn’t quite understand why Speed calls him “Anthony” Davies, but he can overlook that.
The conversation came about after a brief chat: Speed said he has been watching Davies since he was 9 years old, is a huge fan, and would like to talk to him on FaceTime during the stream.
Davies assured him: “Yeah, I’ll do it – but promise me not to leak my number.” Speed quickly promised him not to reveal the phone number under any circumstances.
Davies had answered IShowSpeed’s phone call in his car, and due to technical difficulties with the connection, FaceTime was not displayed, but the phone number. As IShowSpeed immediately began to apologize, the madness began just seconds later:
He started to apologize: “Bro, I’m sorry” – I asked: “What happened?” – And literally 3 seconds later my phone went nuts: calls, messages, FaceTime, WhatsApp messages, WhatsApp calls, this and that.
Davies says ultimately it was probably the fault of both sides; he should have turned off “Car Play,” but IShowSpeed also promised him he had saved Davies’ number – so it was probably 50/50. Davies sees the blame equally divided between the two.

What are these teasers? Pokémon GO shared two short teasers on Twitter. Both look like footage from a trainer who is outside in the dark. Then suddenly hordes of wild Pokémon appear.
In the first teaser, it was a swarm of wild eF-eM, the rare bat Pokémon. The swarm appears after the first eF-eM is fed a Knursp. The video also shows the numbers 10, 25, as well as 05:36 and 06:00 PM.

This could hint at the end of the Spotlight Hour, which actually focuses on Shuppet. However, the event announcement mentioned that you should bring your buddy to experience something special at the beginning and end of the hour.
But what exactly could it be about? We looked at three theories from the Pokémon GO subreddit “TheSilphRoad”.
Theory 1: Secret Event with eF-eM and Karpador
What supports this? The theory suggests that it could simply be some “bonus spawn minutes” with eF-eM and Karpador. This is conceivable since these are the two monsters seen in the teaser. eF-eM could appear at the beginning, Karpador at the end.
eF-eM now also comes as Shiny – but it is rare
Both monsters, but especially eF-eM, should be well-received spawns – after all, both monsters need 400 candies for evolution, and eF-eM has been very rare so far. Only the role of the buddy in this is rather unclear.
Theory 2: Pokémon Horde depends on Buddy Pokémon
What supports this? The second theory suggests that eF-eM and Karpador in the teaser could be placeholders, and players can influence which monsters suddenly appear in the form of a mass encounter: “In the Spotlight Hour next week, it says you should bring your buddy for a surprise. eF-eM & Karpador are pretty common buddy Pokémon… I wonder if your buddy attracts the same type?” suggests a user (via reddit).
You choose a buddy, feed a Knursp – and in the brief minutes at the beginning and end of the Spotlight Hour, the respective monster will appear.
Here, the inclusion of the Knursp would support this, as well as the fact that you are supposed to “bring your buddy” to the Spotlight Hour. However, this would be a pretty powerful feature, if complete freedom were given here – because you could quickly secure candies for rare monsters.
Theory 3: The shapeshifter “Zorua” plays a role
What supports this? In the subreddit “TheSilphRoad”, several users mention the monster “Zorua” – from their perspective, this monster could also be behind the hordes. One user suggests: “If you walk with your buddy during the Spotlight Hour, you will be swarmed by copies of it, but if you click on one, it will flee. However, hidden among them are Zorua that look like your buddy and do not flee” (via reddit).
This is a shapeshifter that can disguise itself as both a human and a Pokémon to confuse its enemies. It also has an evolution called “Zoroark”.
In the main games, Zorua has the ability “Illusion”, with which it imitates the appearance of the last fighting Pokémon. It is conceivable that Zorua copies your buddy – and then suddenly appears in the wild.
The fact that Zorua is even being discussed is likely also due to data mining. Because data miners found various clues about the shapeshifter and it was expected that the dark type monster could appear during the Halloween event.
So far, Zorua is still missing in Pokémon GO, just like in the announcements about the elements of the ongoing Halloween event. Could this be the way in which the monster ultimately lands in the game?

A YouTuber plays the shooter CS:GO with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 at insane frame rates beyond 4,000. But why would one need that, and what does it bring?
Frames per second (FPS) has become an important metric for many gamers across various games. The higher the frame rate, the smoother the game runs. Especially for fast shooters and games where quick reaction times are crucial, high frame rates play a significant role. Many pros therefore play on extremely low graphic settings because they expect to gain an advantage over their competitors.
Now a YouTuber has taken on the challenge of achieving the highest possible frame rate in the popular shooter “Counter Strike.” The advantage is that Counter Strike does not have high hardware requirements and runs on nearly any computer, thus allowing for high frame rates without much effort.

Who is even doing this? The YouTuber 3kliksphilip has just over 1 million subscribers on YouTube and has specialized primarily in Counter Strike. In his latest video, he tested whether he could reach over 1000 FPS.
How did he do that? To achieve this, he first disabled and removed all things that could lower the frame rate:
He disables the game’s interface (HUD) first.
He also reduces the visibility in the game and disables various graphic settings.
In a further step, he disables the AI bots that run around the map.
With all settings, he eventually reaches just over 4,400 FPS in a scene where he stares at a boring wall on an even more boring map.

What does he gain from it? The basic idea behind such absurd FPS numbers is that one wants to have a maximum advantage over opponents. The smoother the game, the more accurately one can aim and hit.
In fact, the YouTuber doesn’t get much from his thousands of FPS, as Counter-Strike has a built-in limit of 400 FPS, which is already quite high. More cannot be displayed in the game itself.

Twitter users are outraged by “tasteless” cosplay
Which cosplay is it about? An erotic model who operates online under the name Ellie Rae caused a stir with a costume that many considered in bad taste.
The cosplay bore an unmistakable resemblance to Amouranth’s outfit from her emotional stream. Additionally, the model wore restraints on her legs and feet. She posted the images with the caption: “When I stop streaming for the simps, he teaches me a lesson.”
The caption appears to be a reference to Amouranth’s allegations against her husband: He is said to have forced her to stream, threatened her dogs, and controlled her finances.
However, Ellie Rae did not explicitly state that she wanted to portray Amouranth.

How was the reaction? Mostly critical. Several internet personalities shared the images on Twitter. The streamer Chloe “Chlooeeeexo” wrote that it is the most tasteless tweet she has ever seen (via Twitter).
Journalist Jake Lucky wondered what is wrong with people.
Similarly, the comments reflected this judgment. One user even suggested that they were only being held back from saying what they truly think by Twitter’s terms of service (via Twitter).
Critics are criticized themselves
What troubles the readers? The comments under Jake Lucky’s post quickly divided into two camps. While there was mostly agreement that the photos were inappropriate, the manner of reporting did not receive unanimous approval.
Some Twitter users expressed concern that the cosplayer would only gain more attention this way – and that is apparently exactly what she wants. At least the journalist should have censored her name, according to one comment (via Twitter).
Others argued that a problem cannot be solved by ignoring it. Holding those responsible accountable is important; otherwise, they could simply act as if nothing happened in a few months (via Twitter).
The cosplayer herself has not yet responded to the criticism. However, she did remove the relevant post.
The discussion about the real Amouranth does not cease. In addition to her husband, she also made allegations against her former employee and cameraman. He is said to have relayed information against her will. He is now commenting on the allegations.
