Counter-Strike 2 is a tactical shooter by Valve, released as an update to its predecessor Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. As in previous Counter-Strike installments, two groups, the terrorists and the counter-terrorist unit (CT), fight each other with weapons and tactical gear. After CS2 was announced in March 2023 and underwent a limited testing phase, it was released on September 27, 2023, fully replacing CS:GO.
