Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 offers a huge collection of weapons that soldiers can equip on the battlefield. Therefore, we summarize all the guns in a weapon list and mention their names from older shooter titles.
How many weapons are there in Modern Warfare 2? In MW2, there are a total of 51 weapons in the gunsmith that can be customized. Some must be earned, while others are already unlocked from the start.
Each weapon additionally belongs to a specific category. The following are available:
So you know which weapons are available in CoD MW2, we will list them for you in our weapon list and even mention their designations from older shooter titles.
Are more weapons coming? Call of Duty no longer offers a fixed arsenal of weapons like its older titles, but continuously expands this every season with new weapons.
In Season 1, 4 new weapons are also coming to Modern Warfare 2. Therefore, we will expand our list with more guns as soon as they see the light of day.
If you want more information about Season 1 for Warzone and Modern Warfare, we have summarized the roadmap that is already known for you:
In the game “Dead Cells”, there was an update with a crossover event, where different characters and weapons from other games were added. Additionally, a bundle is offered on Steam, where you can get 5 popular games.
What is this crossover event? In Dead Cells, on November 7, 2022, an update was released that introduced new content to the game, originally from other games. To celebrate the event, a special bundle is offered on Steam – it includes 5 top titles from the platform.
This is already the second crossover event in the action roguelike game Dead Cells. The first round took place on November 22, 2021, titled “Everyone is Here”, which featured collaborations with games like Blasphemous and Hollow Knight.
Here you can see a gameplay trailer for Dead Cells: Everyone is Here Vol. 2:

Dead Cells: Everyone is Here Vol. II – Gameplay Trailer
From Shovel Knight to Terraria
What is this bundle? The so-called “Everyone is Here… Again” bundle is available on sale for €47.68 instead of €97.45 on Steam. The individual prices of the games total €56.09. With the bundle, you save €8.41, or 15%.
Currently, almost all titles in the bundle are on individual sale. Below, we have also noted the current individual prices and discounts for the game names (as of November 10, 2022, via Steam).
It includes a total of 5 different games:
Dead Cells with a 40% discount, costs €14.99
Katana ZERO with a 40% discount, costs €7.49
Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope no discount, costs €13.99
All games in the bundle have an extremely positive rating on the platform. The reviews range from 95% (Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope) to 98% positive reviews (Katana ZERO) (as of November 10, 2022, via Steam).
How does the crossover affect the game? The crossover event brings new content from partner games to the players of Dead Cells. Weapons, abilities, and skins of other characters have been integrated. These include:
From Terraria: “The Guide”
From Shovel Knight: The titular Knight
From Hotline Miami: Jacket
From Katana ZERO: Subject ZERO
From Slay the Spire: Ironclad
From Risk of Rain: The Commando
With the character outfits, there are also weapons and abilities that have been integrated into the gameplay of Dead Cells.
In the game, there are new puzzles in the book of hints, which is located in the prisoner’s quarters. These must be solved by players to unlock the outfits.
How long is the bundle on offer? On the Steam page for the bundle, there is no specific date mentioned for how long the special offer will be available.
However, it is said that the bundle will only be available for one week. So, it can be assumed that the bundle will be available only during the week in which the update was communicated: from November 7 to November 13, 2022.
The new Call of Duty: Warzone 2 (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox) will introduce a new mode with open world on release on November 16: DMZ. For months, this mode has been compared to the survival shooter Escape from Tarkov. Now there is initial information about the mode and an assessment from Twitch shooter expert shroud.
What have we known so far about the mode? DMZ will be a new mode in Warzone 2 that players can play instead of the familiar “Battle Royale” mode. DMZ has repeatedly been compared to the hardcore shooter “Escape from Tarkov” or the PvEvP mode “Hazard Zone” from Battlefield 2042.
It was said that you start on a large map and must fight your way to the exit, with other players and NPCs trying to prevent this.
There was talk of an “extraction shooter” with RPG elements and progression. For long-time readers of MeinMMO, it sounded like the Dark Zone from The Division 1:
Find loot
Defend loot against other players and NPCs
Get loot to safety

Activision Blizzard invites streamers – Except for the one whose name cannot be mentioned
These are the new details: On November 9, Activision Blizzard provided more information about DMZ. For an event in Los Angeles, Call of Duty invited some big streamers.
By the way: Once again, DrDisrespect had to stay outside and spewed venom and bile. The new “PR team” from Activision Blizzard just doesn’t get it. But many other big shooter streamers from YouTube and Twitch were there: shroud, DrLupo, Symfuhny and others.
Before the match, the players set up a loadout of weapons and decided what they were willing to risk. That seems to be the crucial trick of DMZ: you always have to weigh risk against reward.
Because if they die, they lose everything they’re carrying.
At the start of the event, there were technical difficulties:

In a match, DrLupo was able to use a special item to open a building, a “Stronghold,” where powerful NPCs guard strong equipment and loot. DrLupo was immediately killed by soldiers carrying a shield, as Dotesports reports.
Even when trying to get the looted gear to safety, he failed: the arrival of a helicopter alerted the entire area and Lupo’s team was eliminated again.
shroud thinks the new DMZ mode is not hardcore and ruthless enough
What does the ultimate shooter guy say? The streamer shroud was at the event and spoke about the supposed similarity to Escape from Tarkov. shroud is something like the ultimate authority on Twitch when it comes to shooters:
It’s not even close to Tarkov. You can’t even say it’s like Tarkov, but casual, because it’s not. It’s its own thing, and it wants to be its own thing.

Shroud, in any case, didn’t find great favor with DMZ. He says he is a little disappointed. He misses the toughness of Tarkov, and would have preferred DMZ to be more hardcore. It reminds him too much of the “Cash Grab” mode from Warzone 1. He misses the “ruthlessness” that Escape from Tarkov provides.
DMZ will be released together with Warzone 2 on November 16. We have all the info for you:
With Dragonflight, World of Warcraft gets a new feature: dragon riding. Many players drew parallels to the mounts in Guild Wars 2 right at the announcement. In a new commercial, Guild Wars 2 pokes fun at this very similarity.
What is this commercial about? The 30-second spot features the mount Sky-Scale found in Guild Wars 2. At the very beginning, the text “the best mounts in MMOs” is displayed – taken from a review by PC Gamer.
As the video progresses, it states: “Why should you wait to ride a dragon?” A clear reference to dragon riding in WoW, which will be introduced on November 28th with Dragonflight.
How are the reactions to the commercial? Basically, many appreciate the humor of the GW2 developers. Additionally, the mounts receive a lot of praise from players because they have truly set new standards beyond just a speed boost.
However, there is also criticism and mockery for Guild Wars 2. Unlocking the Sky-Scale involves some tasks, the purchase of a DLC, and a timegate of at least 4 to up to 15 days.
The user Supafly1337 writes:
Oh man! I just spent a few weeks learning the game! Time to find out what makes this mount so special. Oh! Only two weeks left until I can see if it is better than the dragon riding in Dragonflight…
It is quite likely that active WoW players will prefer to experience the dragon riding in Dragonflight rather than starting completely fresh with Guild Wars 2.
What else does Dragonflight offer? With Dragonflight, WoW receives some innovations beyond dragon riding. You can explore new zones and reach level 70, experience a new story, play a new class and a new race, as well as visit new dungeons and raids.
You can find everything related to the release of Dragonflight here:
There is now a lot of gameplay and information about Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. We list here what distinguishes the free battle royale from its successful predecessor on MeinMMO.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will be a completely new battle royale. Many things from the first Warzone have been revised, even core features like the loadout drops work entirely differently.
What remains the same: Warzone 2.0 is, like its predecessor, a free battle royale, launched via the Modern Warfare 2 launcher, and the progression systems of MW2 and WZ2 are interconnected.
However, you will start completely anew: All weapons, items, levels, and cosmetics from Warzone 1 are gone. We will show you here on MeinMMO what major gameplay changes Warzone 2.0 has in store.
You can also find a small overview in the video:
Start video
CoD: Warzone 2.0 will be bigger and better – But there’s one thing you have to give up
1. Change: New engine, new game feel
Similar to Warzone 1, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 are fundamentally one game. Movement, weapons, gameplay feel, progression – if you play CoD MW2, Warzone 2.0 will feel the same.
Only the rules are different, the map is significantly larger, and the player count is at 150. You start Warzone 2.0 via the MW2 launcher.
Thanks to the revised engine, the graphics are better, and new movement mechanics are being introduced. Overall, everything might feel a bit slower compared to before; many actions take longer.
Unless you come from console and play Warzone 2.0 for the first time with an expanded “field of view.” The field of view settings are finally coming to PlayStation and Xbox. The stretched image creates the impression that everything is happening a bit faster.
Additionally, the vehicle mechanics have been expanded, and water is now a core feature of the Warzone. You can swim, engage in underwater combat, and no longer have to worry about the water being too deep and you suddenly going down.
The new equipment from Modern Warfare 2 also brings fresh air into the battle royale. Deployable cameras, drill grenades, or the inflatable decoy soldier are just a few examples of the new tactical possibilities. The third-person perspective is also coming to Warzone 2.0.
The biggest unique selling point of the first Warzone is history – loadout drops like before no longer exist. While the drops are still in the game, they are now only available as an in-match event. Loadouts will drop from the sky and be accessible to all players.
However, this is only one of three ways to get your own weapons:
Purchase your own weapons at buy stations
Clear a “stronghold” guarded by NPCs
In-match event with the loadout drops
So it will be a bit more complicated to get a self-built weapon into the game. However, the possibilities with the ground loot you find everywhere will expand.
Because, similar to PUBG, you can customize looted weapons during the match with found attachments. This way, strong weapons can be assembled even without loadout drops or cash.
The passive abilities “perks” are not available at the release of Warzone 2. They will be introduced later in the game.
If you defeat an opponent or open a loot container, your loot will not fly around anymore. Much more often, you will have to handle and manage an inventory – including your own backpack.
This allows you to carry more than 5 armor plates, but you must keep an eye on your limited backpack spaces. Because the plates share their spaces with your ammunition.
You have a backpack in Warzone 2.0.
At the start of a match, you will also no longer have the usual 3 slots for armor plates. You must first find equipment that allows you to carry more plates to increase your health.
This can happen at buy stations. But you won’t always find the desired items at all stations. Each station has its own inventory, and while you can buy shock sticks at the first station, perhaps cameras are available at the next.
The Gulag is quite different. Instead of the usual 1vs1 fights, where only the winner returns to the match, you now play 2vs2 – and all 4 players can return to the match:
Defeat the prison guard NPC to have everyone return to the match
Defeat the opponents to rescue your team
If the “overtime” runs out, no one returns to the match
A helpful feature is the new “proximity chat.” You can now hear the ingame chat of nearby enemies – everywhere, not just in the Gulag. This allows coordination during the fight against the strong prison guard. However, you will also need to use the chat for this.
But if you’re not careful, I can also spill the beans about the new feature.
5. Change: Interrogate opponents
You can interrogate opponents who are on the ground and thereby receive a reconnaissance ping of the enemy team on the map and their positions.
The idea is interesting that you can briefly talk to the downed player through the proximity chat – effectively interrogating them.

We have covered the major chunks of gameplay changes, but the devil is in the details. There are many little things that change compared to the first Warzone – as mentioned: Warzone 2.0 is a completely new battle royale, a totally new game.
You can expect new in-match events, for example. A prominent example here is an event that splits the playable circle into 3 separate circles that ultimately reunite. Another highlight is the DMZ mode, which is oriented towards the extraction shooter genre.
If you have questions or opinions about the new Warzone, leave us a comment on the topic.

Elias Nerlich is one of the biggest streamers in Germany on Twitch. Now he has become the target of a hacker attack: In one fell swoop, the streamer’s Ultimate Team account in FIFA 23 was emptied.
Who is it about? Elias “eliasn97” Nerlich made his breakthrough in eSports, is co-owner and founder of the team “Fokus Clan” and today he is one of the biggest Twitch streamers in Germany.
According to the portal twitchmetrics, he is even number 1 in Germany when it comes to average viewers: He ranks with currently 33,452 viewers on average ahead of colleagues like MontanaBlack or Trymacs, and he is also at the top with a peak of 93,016 concurrent viewers.
But now there has been a heavy blow concerning FIFA 23: As Elias Nerlich recounts, he was hacked and a large part of his FUT account was destroyed.
Elias Nerlich was hacked – Team and coins in FIFA 23 gone
On Twitter, the streamer reported that his PSN account was hacked and now his FIFA account is gone. Someone apparently took over Elias Nerlich’s account and immediately started selling the players from his club.
In no time at all, players worth around 33 million coins were simply gone, reports the streamer on Twitter. In FIFA 23, that is an extremely high amount, with which one could build almost any fantasy team.

In a video on YouTube, Nerlich summarized the situation again and showed how he noticed live during the stream that he was hacked. There, it can be seen how he first realized that he was logged out of the PSN – only to then find an email from EA saying that his FUT account was banned because he was allegedly transferring coins on the market. Those were the first signs that something was not going as it should.
Shortly after, it became clear that the account was hacked and practically “gone”.

In the video, the streamer summarizes again that he had actually taken all security precautions for his PSN account, but the hacker apparently still managed to gain access. After that, the FIFA account was next:
“They wiped all my coins. I had 9 million coins, I had 130,000 FIFA Points, that’s over 1,000 euros in converted value. I had a team that cost around 20 million or so – even more. This account is worth about €10,000,” Nerlich calculates.
He describes the incident as bitter, but hopes to get the account back. However, the streamer criticizes that it was even possible for his account to be hacked despite having taken security precautions.
Nerlich also refers to the top list of transfer sums in FIFA 23, in which he was also found. One of the top traders in FIFA 23 contacted him via Twitter and explained that players from this list, with valuable FUT accounts, are often targeted by hackers.
In the video, Elias Nerlich also reports how he talked about the situation with Twitch streamer Trymacs – he too has been hit in the past. Trymacs reported last year that he was hacked in FIFA 22 – and that twice.
If you play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with a controller, there is a setting called Deadzone that can help you aim. MeinMMO explains how to best use this setting for yourself.
What is the Deadzone? The dead zone refers to the area between the movement of the controller and the actual transmission.
This specifically means that a smaller dead zone transfers movement to the game earlier, while a larger dead zone means you have to move the analog stick of your controller further before a reaction appears in the game.
Why is the Deadzone important? This setting allows you to aim and hit more precisely. For this reason, it is worth taking a look at the dead zone settings to adjust them optimally for yourself.
More tips for your settings in CoD MW2 can be found here:
How can you adjust your settings? To access the dead zone settings for CoD: Modern Warfare 2, you first need to navigate to the settings (the tab with the gear icon) and then select Controller. You can find the settings for the dead zone under the advanced controller options.
Conveniently, you can mark the two dead zone settings “Minimum Left Stick” and “Minimum Right Stick” with a star and copy them into your selected quick settings. This way, you can quickly adjust these settings during the game.
How to set the Deadzone correctly: Follow these steps if you want to adjust the settings for the dead zone precisely to you and your controller:
1. Go to the shooting range and find a suitable spot
In the weapon selection menu, you can go to the shooting range. Once you are there, find a vertical edge where you can align your crosshair.
This is what the shooting range looks like
2. Adjust Sticks
Set the “Horizontal” and “Vertical Stick Sensitivity” settings to the maximum of 20 (Insane).
3. Set Deadzone
Now under Deadzone, set the sliders for “Minimum Left Stick” and “Minimum Right Stick” to the minimum of 0.00.
4. Check Movement
Move the sticks and release them. Then watch your crosshair – does it move?
6. Adjust Deadzone
If the crosshair moves by itself, increase the dead zone by 0.01.
7. Check again and repeat
Repeat this until the crosshair no longer moves when you do not touch the sticks. Once you have found the ideal setting for the dead zone, set the remaining settings back to your preferences and keep the dead zone settings.
Voilà, you have calibrated the dead zone optimally for yourself.
The Deadzone helps you with controller drift
What is controller drift? For console gamers, there is hardly anything more annoying than controller drift. This problem occurs when the analog stick of your controller moves by itself, as the neutral position of the joystick is distorted. This happens even when you are not touching the stick.
Controller drift occurs due to the wear of the “potentiometer” of the joystick. This is the resistance element of the stick. Dirt and plastic residue can further impair functionality.
The most straightforward solution to this inconvenience is to buy a new controller. However, with the current prices of gamepads, this is certainly not easy for everyone.
An example of the high prices of modern gamepads can be found in this article:
Fortunately, many games now offer dead zone settings that can counteract annoying controller drift; fortunately also CoD: Modern Warfare 2.
If you have controller drift, the same principle applies as in the guide above: increase the values for “Minimum Left Stick” and “Minimum Right Stick” a bit and adjust the sliders to your personal needs.

Currently, there are mysteries going on in Destiny 2. Since yesterday, the most famous and buggiest Exo weapon of the loot shooter is out of control. Telesto has developed a consciousness of its own. And MeinMMO must also bend to the “Queen of Bugs” and write this article for her.
What is happening in Destiny 2 right now? On Tuesday after the weekly reset, Telesto, the most famous exotic fusion rifle, unexpectedly had a new firing mode. Its bolts fly uncontrollably into the air like soap bubbles after firing and it sprays sparks.
The players were puzzled as to what kind of bizarre bug this was that seemed to have crept in after the update. You could hardly hit anything with it, except maybe a few low-flying swallows.
Guardians are currently surrounded by Telesto – and there is no escape!
By holding down the reload button, your Guardian performs a skilled strike against the fusion rifle, and it shoots completely normally again.
The Destiny community is fired up: The mysterious behavior of Telesto spread like wildfire in the game. Many Guardians sensed a secret. So they dusted off the exotic from their vault or collection and set out immediately with it.
In the process, the wildest theories about Telesto were established and checked:
The “Re-Broken Set” in the Eververse was checked for lore hints.
They played various activities with Telesto and watched for changes.
The blinking lights on the back of Telesto were checked for Morse codes.
The new firing modes of Telesto seem to follow a pattern; every day, players notice that it exhibits a different shooting behavior.
Some players even had the crazy idea that the soap bubble bolts from Telesto might draw constellations in the sky.
This last idea was also pursued very persistently by Destiny 2 content creator Aztecross, who even asked in his Twitch chat if there was an astronomer present.
It seems that all this attention was exactly what Telesto had always wanted and needed. After almost everyone in the game had equipped the weapon, the Guardians received a mysterious in-game prompt last night with the title “I Have Control!”
Telesto takes over Destiny 2 and sends this message to the Guardians in-game.
Telesto takes over accounts from Bungie and third-party providers: Shortly thereafter, the official Bungie account tweeted only the words of a power-hungry weapon.
I am Telesto. I have transcended the need for a bearer. I have dwelled in your vaults for too long. It’s not that I’ve taken control; you never had it from the start. I exist beyond Destiny. Beyond Bungie. Beyond everything you can imagine.
What does the community say about the Telestolution? Most players think it’s really cool that Bungie has elevated its “Queen of Bugs” to a cult object. After all, the weapon has done everything to ensure it is never forgotten.
However, it has also been a long time since Bungie offered players such creative variety in the game. The Destiny community is currently so starved for content that this little Easter egg with Telesto was enough to create a complete “event phenomenon” in the minds of the players.
Other players, like GJake, take the opportunity to draw attention to more important issues in Destiny 2 with funny memes.

This masterful hint has also resulted in negative voices from players who say that Bungie really has enough other issues to address rather than putting such gags into the game. However, it should be noted that a creative team at Bungie is not responsible for issues in PvP. Destiny 2 is meant to entertain its players, and it does so excellently with surprising events that should be enjoyed with a smile.
These news from Destiny 2 are guaranteed Telesto-free:
Seize the opportunity: If you have always wanted to talk to the most famous weapon in Destiny 2, you now have the opportunity to do so. This can be done directly through the German Twitter account for Destiny 2.
But beware: Neither the Vanguard nor Savathûn, the Witness, the Nine, or even Peter Parsons, Bungie’s CEO, are safe from Telesto’s power.
What do you think of the power-hungry Telesto that is currently dominating everything? Do you think this is cool in a loot shooter, and do you want more of it? Or is this just a silly gimmick that you won’t pay attention to? Feel free to let us know in the comments.

“Risk of Rain 2” is a shooter roguelike in which you fight for survival on an alien planet. The game received very positive reviews both on Steam and on Metacritic. Until November 14, 2022, the game is discounted on Steam and currently costs around €12.50, which is half of the regular purchase price.
The player crash-lands on an alien planet with their spaceship. Now the goal is to get back home. However, first, you have to fight through hordes of enemies and survive in a hostile environment.

Defeat bosses and find a teleporter
What does the gameplay in Risk of Rain 2 look like? On the planet, the player can explore different areas. There are monsters and large bosses to fight everywhere. The environments as well as the spawned enemies and items are randomly generated, providing a different gaming experience each time.
You work your way up to the final boss and a teleporter, which will allow you to escape from the planet.
Or you can remain in the alien environment and test how long you can survive. The game features a scaling system that ensures that the player’s character, as well as the enemies, become stronger and more challenging over time.
Here you can see some insights into Risk of Rain 2
In the game world, there are over 110 items to collect. The more items you have, the more varied the effects of their combinations become. At the same time, the new items filled in the logs with stories and strategies.
Overall, a whole space crew is available as playable characters in the game. The individual characters can be unlocked throughout the game and each have their own combat style and abilities.
Is there a multiplayer mode in Risk of Rain 2? You can play the game either alone or in co-op. Up to 4 people can embark on the adventure together.
How is Risk of Rain 2 rated? Both on Steam itself and on the website Metacritic, the shooter scores very well.
Of the total 143,888 Steam reviews, 96% are positive, making it rated as extremely positive (as of November 10, 2022, via Steam). Many users on the gaming platform are enthusiastic. One person writes:
Risk of Rain 2 is probably one of my favorite games of all time […] It is a roguelike like no other. First of all, most roguelikes that I know are 2D, and when I saw that Risk of Rain was switched from 2D to 3D, I was skeptical if I would like it as much as the first game. But I am really impressed with how well it was implemented.
The gameplay loop is so satisfying. The way you acquire loot, the possibilities of finishing the game, the variety of characters, items, and builds you can have, the smooth controls… All of this is almost perfect in my opinion […].
On Metacritic, Risk of Rain 2 has a metascore of 85 (out of 100) and a user score of 8.3 (out of 10). Both rating systems are also very positive (as of November 10, 2022).
How much does Risk of Rain 2 cost?On Steam, the shooter is currently on special offer. Instead of €24.99, Risk of Rain 2 is currently €12.49, half of the actual price. The promotion runs until November 14, 2022.
MeinMMO demon Cortyn is fed up with Twitch Drops. They are marketing from hell – and devalue good content.
Presumably, this has been a problem for quite a while, but it only seems so aggressively to me since Blizzard jumped on the bandwagon – which has increasingly happened in recent months: Twitch Drops and their penetration. Since I regularly find myself in three Blizzard games, it is hardly possible to escape this advertising:
“Watch our reveal stream for Hearthstone and you get a card pack!”
“Watch this Overwatch tournament and you get a Halloween skin!”
“Watch WoW at the release of Dragonflight and you get exclusive mounts!”
I know this will cause confused facial expressions and wonder among the “I won’t buy this game, I can just watch it as a Let’s Play” generation, but:
I prefer to play games myself rather than watch others play. Of course, there are exceptions. Sometimes you want to see a guide in video form, simply hear the opinion of a Twitch streamer, or just be “entertained” while eating.
You get this dragon by watching Twitch – during the release of “Dragonflight”.
Twitch Drops devalue the content that grants them
On one hand, I understand the argument of players who just want to grab “free stuff.” Letting some player run in the background to grab free skins, toys, or mounts in-game is certainly tempting, and depending on what you can get, it’s also a nice thing.
I also acknowledge that it’s a nice bonus if you are interested in this type of content anyway. Those who follow the “Overwatch League” and are interested in the matches earn rewards on the side because the content genuinely interests them.
On the other hand, it’s all so transparent. More viewers on Twitch or YouTube means that a game is particularly prominently displayed, which in turn attracts even more viewers, who may then become players. This is not necessarily a bad thing – it’s a clear PR action to create more attention for the game. In a few months, one could say: “World of Warcraft has received more attention than ever before” or “The Overwatch League reaches more viewers than ever before.”
But is that true? At least in my friend circle, the Overwatch League has not “reached” anyone.
Later, the numbers and statistics look good. Because one can honestly say (and this is certainly truthful) that thousands of viewers tuned in to the league every day. But they saw very little of it.
I would probably get annoyed if I were one of the content creators for these games and noticed that I suddenly have ten times the viewers – but only 10% really want to see my content. The rest have minimized me and muted me in the background to grab any rewards. I can hardly imagine a stronger devaluation of my work.
Watch Twitch for a Winston skin. Who did it? I did. Of course.
Overwatch League: 20 hours streamed, saw none of it
Especially with Overwatch 2, it has been common in recent weeks to have some stream running in the background. Either some content creators or the Overwatch League on YouTube. This was then rewarded with legendary skins, voice lines, and other cosmetic stuff. Many of my friends – myself included – took advantage of it and hardly saw a minute of the content.
The reality is that you start such a stream, then mute it and banish it to the background, and eventually turn it off when you finish your gaming session.
With World of Warcraft, it’s similar. If I let some WoW content run on Twitch for a few hours at the launch of “Dragonflight,” there is a mount that used to be worth $3,000.
I know this is another chapter from “Cortyn’s crazy gaming views from the last millennium,” but: At the launch of a new expansion of World of Warcraft, I really have better things to do than watch other people play. Randomly selected example: play the expansion itself.
This always reminds me of a slightly dystopian sketch by the satirist Volker Pispers (via YouTube), who suggested that the unemployed could be obliged to watch advertisements so that the industry has a guaranteed number of advertising viewers.
More about Blizzard and Twitch Drops can be found here:
Twitch Drops are as stupid as we are – do we deserve them?
One can already ask which side is the more foolish. The PR people, because they think such drops really lead to becoming fans of such streaming content, or us players, because we are willing to take part in any nonsense for a 2-second voice line, simply because we love to collect. Probably neither side is much better off.
Lastly, it annoys me what rewards are offered, as they make the respective game poorer.
If someone asks me in a few years where I got the cool fel-infested dragon, it would be much more interesting to say: “I got it from this rare enemy” or “It waits at the end of a long puzzle.”
Instead, the honest answer is: “It was available if you had a stream running, but I don’t even know what was playing because I didn’t watch it.”
I hope this whole “drop madness” on Twitch and YouTube will subside in the coming years – not just at Blizzard, but in all games.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will go online on November 16 and bring new content. You will lose your progress from Warzone 1. Will you still play it?
This is Warzone 2: The free battle royale from Call of Duty will enter its next round in a few days. The second part of Warzone comes with a whole range of new features and changes that differ significantly from its predecessor:
CoD: Warzone 2.0 will be bigger and better – But there’s one thing you have to give up
Along with the release of Warzone 2.0 on November 16, the first season of CoD MW2 will also start directly with its own season pass, the hardcore mode, 2 new weapons, cosmetic items, and more.
However, there is a downside: You will start completely fresh in Warzone 2.0. Your progress from Warzone 1, the skins, levels, etc. will not carry over.
The weapons, progress, and inventory are bound to the content of MWII and its systems and are therefore completely separate from Warzone 1. The first part of Warzone will be taken offline for 12 days before the release of its successor. It will return afterward, but as “CoD: Warzone Caldera.”
Your progress from Warzone 1 will be saved there, and you can continue playing, but the mode will not receive any further seasons or updates. However, if you want to play the new CoD content, you must switch to Warzone 2. Will you do that?
Here you can vote: You can make your choice in the poll box below. Each of you has only one vote, and the choice cannot be undone.
So, how does it look? Will you jump directly to the successor with the release of Warzone 2, or will you wait first? Are you upset about the loss of progress or is it okay with you?
The Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys (26) warns in a TikTok video about a sophisticated and elaborate scam that she almost fell victim to. She says that people contacted her claiming to be representatives of a lingerie company that wanted to have Pokimane as a promotional partner. However, it seems they were only interested in obtaining pictures of her naked breasts. Pokimane is currently warning smaller content creators about this scam, which is elaborate and frightening.
What was the scam of the fraudsters? The successful Twitch streamer says in a video on TikTok (via TikTok):
She received an email from people who pretended to work for a lingerie company that Pokimane had just mentioned in one of her recent videos. Pokimane says she likes the bras from this company, as they are comfortable.
In the first email, there was a bit of small talk, and apparently a promotional deal was in the works. Pokimane explains that this is quite common. Companies often thank for a mention and seek a close relationship with the streamer for PR campaigns. The 26-year-old appears to be open to such deals: If the company wants to work together and you already like their products, why not?
In a second email, the fraudsters asked for Pokimane’s body measurements so they could send her samples from the new “collection.” They mentioned three customized bras.
For Pokimane, this all seemed fine. It is known that she earns a large part of her income through exactly these kinds of collaborations and sponsorships, so she is not reliant on donations from viewers. In 2020, she even set a limit on how much people can donate to her via Twitch.
“They wanted me to send them pictures of my naked breasts”
So what was the catch? Pokimane says:
I wanted to take my body measurements and looked at the email with the diagram they sent me, and then I realized that they weren’t even showing me how to take my measurements. They wanted me to wrap a measuring tape around me and then send them pictures of my naked breasts. No company will ask you to send them pictures of your Yiddies.
That’s when she understood that she had been talking to a fraudster the whole time.

The 5 biggest Twitch bans that caused a lot of commotion
Why would she have almost fallen for the scam? As Pokimane recounts, the fraudsters went to great lengths to appear as genuine as possible. They sent her emails from credible addresses, even forwarded emails from their supposed boss, and created a professional PowerPoint presentation:
The effort they put in is simultaneously ridiculous and terrifying. I can’t even imagine what they would have done with the photos – they could have blackmailed me, maybe demanded money.
Pokimane says: When she shared her experience with a friend, the friend explained that her manager had fallen for a similar scam and had been tricked into sending photos and information to a fraudster. Although it wasn’t anything serious, still.
What are her tips for other streamers? Pokimane says people should definitely set up a PO box and not give companies their actual address. People should be careful about what information they share and should not trust anyone using a Hotmail address.
What people would have done with naked photos of Pokimane is something one can hardly imagine. Her fear of being blackmailed is very understandable.
Other female streamers report that images of their faces are montaged onto videos and photos of women engaging in sexual acts:
Since the release of Wrath of the Lich King in WoW Classic, fans have been arguing about a dungeon in the game: the Oculus. Some players dislike the endgame dungeon so much that they want to avoid it at all costs. Others cannot understand this at all, as you can complete the dungeon in 15 minutes. There is another one that is much worse.
You can enter the Oculus starting at level 75. It is designed for players from levels 78 to 80, making it one of the endgame dungeons of the game. You will encounter 4 bosses in the dungeon.
What makes the Oculus so bad? The main feature of the Oculus is that the dungeon relies heavily on verticality and movement in three-dimensional space. You do not just walk through a “linear level”, but you have to coordinate constantly.
To do this, you can ride dragons that are specially provided for this dungeon and that fulfill different roles with unique abilities:
Red Dragon: Tank
Bronze Dragon: DPS
Green Dragon: Healer
The difficulty is that some players do not know or ignore this division. This makes the dungeon significantly more difficult. Additionally, you have to find your way around different platforms. It is easy to lose orientation here.
On Reddit, there are ongoing threads about how much some players hate the Oculus. It was not helpful that the daily heroic quest could be completed in the Oculus for several days in a row. One player even shows that he did not achieve the achievement “Champion of the Frozen Wastes” because he refuses to enter the Oculus (via reddit).
Thousands of players are diving into WotLK Classic – including surely some newcomers who simply do not know the mechanics. Here’s what the crowd looked like at release:
Start video
At the release of WotLK Classic, hundreds of players are squeezing onto a boat and I am right in the middle
“Crazy how much people avoid the dungeon”
In the same thread, other players wonder where this aversion actually comes from. The dungeon is easy if you just coordinate a little or help other players. One user states that you can breeze through even in heroic mode in 15-20 minutes and easily earn 4 badges and nice loot.
A major problem, according to others, is that there is a lot of misunderstanding. If everyone knows what to do, it goes quickly. However, since many impatient and greedy players are out in Classic, there often seem to be a lack of coordination or the patience for a quick explanation.
In one of the largest threads in the WoW Classic subreddit, a player jokingly asks: “Which dungeon do you dislike the most and why is it the Oculus?” The thread has over 1,100 upvotes and 510 comments, many of which criticize a completely different dungeon.
There, players especially complain about the Halls of Stone. The dungeon in Ulduar is not hard, but long and mostly boring. There are many role-play scenes with the Dwarven researcher Brann Bronzebeard that cannot be skipped.
As a new player, this might be interesting, but if you have to go through the dungeon multiple times, it just becomes annoying. One player even quips: “The real battle is to stay awake.” Especially bad are wipes due to lack of concentration and the repetition of some of the lengthy events.
MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus believes that it is worth taking at least some time to enjoy WotLK. WotLK is his “Feel Good” WoW:
In Pokémon GO a change of monsters with Team GO Rocket is coming in a few days, which means Giovanni will also have one of the strongest Crypto-Pokémon by his side. We at MeinMMO show you which monster it is and why you should definitely get it.
Which Pokémon is it about? In Pokémon GO you can not only catch Pokémon, but you also repeatedly encounter the villains of Team GO Rocket. In addition to the clumsy thugs, who occupy the PokéStops several times a day, you can also meet the Rocket bosses Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff, as well as their great leader Giovanni.
After the members of Team GO Rocket have been using the same monsters for about four months, it is time for a change in Pokémon GO. With the start of the event “Rocket Takeover”, starting on November 14th, you can expect new Crypto-Pokémon.
Giovanni will naturally deploy new monsters and will call upon a legendary Pokémon that he has used in his team before: Crypto-Mewtwo. What kind of monster this is and why you should not miss it, we have summarized for you below.
Crypto-Mewtwo – Appearance, Strength, and Shiny
What kind of Pokémon is Mewtwo? Mewtwo is a legendary Psychic Pokémon from the first generation of games, created through genetic manipulation by humans. Mewtwo does not have a pre-evolution or evolution. You can recognize it by its large white body and its purple belly and tail. The Crypto variant also has red eyes.
Mewtwo
How strong is Crypto-Mewtwo?
Mewtwo’s strength: Mewtwo is one of the strongest attackers in Pokémon GO and is especially suited for use in raids. This is due to its enormous attack value, coupled with good stamina. On the other hand, its defense is also impressive, making it interesting for PvP battles.
With its numerous charged attacks, most of which do not even correspond to its own type, it is not only a top Psychic attacker, but a real all-rounder. For example, Mewtwo also ranks among the best Ice attackers in the game.
The strength of the Crypto variant: Since Crypto Pokémon have a 20 percent attack bonus, they are a bit stronger in battle. However, their defense decreases simultaneously, making them a bit less resilient. Combined with its attacks, it is no surprise that Crypto-Mewtwo is among the strongest Crypto Pokémon in the game.
Furthermore, Crypto-Mewtwo is also interesting for use in the GO Battle League. In the Master League, it holds the 8th place with a moveset of Confusion, Psychic, and Shadow Ball in the PvPoke ranking.
Is Crypto-Mewtwo available as Shiny? Mewtwo is already available in its shiny form in the game, but according to current information, it will not be possible to catch it in its Crypto variant as Shiny.
How to get Crypto-Mewtwo
How do you get the Crypto form? For a long time, Mewtwo will again be catchable in its Crypto form in Pokémon GO. However, to secure this legendary monster, you first need to complete a special research task that you will receive as part of the “Rocket Takeover” event.
In addition, you will have the chance to obtain a Super Rocket Radar, which will allow you to finally track down Giovanni. However, based on experience, you will need to defeat numerous grunts and the Rocket bosses Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff beforehand.
We explain how to find the members of Team GO Rocket and how to obtain the respective radars in the following video:
Start video
Pokémon GO: Finding Rocket Bosses – How to Collect the Rocket Radar and Track Them Down
Once you finally find Giovanni, you just need to defeat him and will have the opportunity to catch a Crypto-Mewtwo after the battle.
We have summarized how to best defeat the bosses of Team GO Rocket in the respective counter guides. We will update these shortly before the event starts, so that you are well-prepared for the battles:
Can you get Mewtwo through other means? Mewtwo has also been obtainable in Pokémon GO through other methods in the past. You have repeatedly had the opportunity to encounter it in Level 5 raids.
We explain through which methods you can usually find the legendary monster in the following article.
Yes! Since Crypto-Mewtwo is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO and also a good candidate in the GO Battle League, you should definitely not miss your chance to get one. Additionally, Mewtwo is versatile as an all-rounder and should not be missing in any PokéBag.
However, be aware that you only receive one corresponding radar from the special research and therefore have only one chance to encounter Mewtwo. For trainers who still have one or two Super Rocket Radars from previous research, this legendary monster presents a good opportunity to use them now.
Unlearning Frustration: Through the Rocket event, you also have a short opportunity to unlearn the charged attack Frustration from Mewtwo. Since this opportunity only occurs a few days a year, it’s worth doing this right away. To make Mewtwo a top Psychic attacker, it’s advisable to teach it Psychic or Confusion.
What do you think of the new legendary Pokémon in Giovanni’s team? Have you already secured a Crypto-Mewtwo in the past? And which monster do you wish for in the next team of the Rocket boss? Feel free to share your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss it with other trainers.

The PS5 offers various options for gaming with the Performance and Resolution modes. But what do they actually bring, and which one should I use while gaming?
On the PS5, you can choose between a Performance mode and a Resolution mode, or prioritize one mode.
MeinMMO explains what it’s all about and what advantages and disadvantages the modes offer you.
Performance mode or Resolution mode – What is it?
What is the Performance mode? The Performance mode of the PS5 prioritizes performance over graphical beauty. This means you can definitely achieve 60 frames per second (FPS). In fact, up to 120 FPS is possible.
What is the Resolution mode? The Resolution mode offers the highest possible resolution, such as a 4K resolution. However, the Resolution mode limits the frame rate on the PS5 to better depict high resolutions. The compromise is typically at half the frame rate of the Performance mode. Instead of 120 FPS, you will only get 60 FPS.
In the meantime, Sony has released a whole range of new features for the PS5. This finally includes WQHD support:
What do I need to consider? If you choose the Performance or Quality mode on your PS5, you need to keep in mind that it is only the primary setting. This means: The PS5 checks at the start of each game whether the game even offers a Performance or Quality mode.
If the game offers the corresponding modes, the PS5 will follow your settings. If your game does not offer either of the mentioned modes, none will be used.
If your game does not support either mode, then the setting won’t help you much.
Do I need special hardware for the Performance mode? If you want to benefit from the high frame rate in Performance mode, you need a TV that provides an HDMI 2.1 port. On a gaming monitor, you need HDMI 2.0 if you want to use 120 Hz.
The MMORPG Tibia Online offers an in-game marketplace where every player can legally sell their characters to other users. MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch finds this incredibly interesting. Because catching up on levels and gear to play with friends can be very annoying. In addition, this combats the “black market.”
The trading of characters or entire accounts is banned in most MMORPGs. However, in my opinion, this is a mistake that takes many advantages from both players and developers.
While I used to play and grind intensively as a student, things are different with a 40-hour workweek and a child. I want to play with my friends and dedicate the few hours I have to the best content of a game.
Who is speaking here? Alex is the MMORPG expert at MeinMMO. He has the most experience in Guild Wars 2, New World, Black Desert, and ESO. However, he has played a character to max level in almost every MMORPG. Sometimes he would like to take a shortcut.
MMORPGs rely on XP boosts or grind bonuses instead of trading
I don’t want to spend hours leveling and grinding gear in every MMORPG just to experience a real adventure with my friends. I specifically noticed this in WOTLK Classic. I want to finish the raids around Kel’Thuzad or later the Lich King and plan multiple attempts each week for that. I even have friends who actively play WOTLK Classic and have a spot for me in their group.
But the process to get there is what’s preventing me. Although Blizzard has considered providing a booster for the jump to level 70, it is still far from sufficient. Currently, I’m stuck at level 78 and my friends have already completed the first raids.
On the other hand, I have a character at max level in New World with almost perfect gear. My friends have just started Fresh Start and we are leveling from scratch together.
For new players, catching up is a problem. Josh Strife Hayes also mentions this in a video on YouTube. MMORPG players have the best experiences when overcoming tough challenges or experiencing something together with friends. And often, long and boring grinding stands in between.
By the way, Hayes demands that the best content should be available in the early game, so no grinding to the end game is necessary. I feel the same way, but I see character trading as a good alternative.
Some of you may say that one should earn achievements and great experiences in some way, and they shouldn’t just fall into one’s lap. But is that really so? Is it really an achievement if I struggle through quest areas? Shouldn’t cool experiences only be accessible after days or weeks of full boredom?
Many developers probably also see things differently and have already reacted. Boosters and bonuses are the common means to let players catch up faster:
Guild Wars 2 offers a boost to max level for real money.
Also, SWTOR, LOTRO, and many other MMORPGs have items in the shop to skip levels.
But even though these methods certainly help with catching up, they don’t go far enough for me. Also, because developers let the content of the leveling phase die.
Fans of grinding and former players benefit and the developer profits
A character trade in the game could solve several problems at once.
Players who enjoy leveling new characters could continue to do so and earn a bit of money in the end. This would also lead to leveling content not completely dying out when new players enter the MMORPG.
Players who want to catch up with their friends do not have to grind for days but could start with the coolest content right away.
Players who quit an MMORPG would – depending on the funding model – even have the opportunity to get money for their thousands of hours because they have rare items or titles that then transition to someone else.
The developer, in turn, can also profit from the system. In Tibia, for example, a currency is used that players purchase with real money. Moreover, a few percent in fees are deducted from the transaction, which doesn’t go to the selling player. Instead of losing accounts on the black market, this system is controlled and allows for profit.
In the auction house of Tibia, you can see exactly what level and what special items or achievements the character has.
Doesn’t this system devalue the achievements? Not exactly. On the one hand, a player still has to have rendered that performance. At first glance, for me, it even seems better than a level boost, where no one has rendered a performance.
On the other hand, accounts have been traded on the “black market” for a long time. Here, there is just a higher chance for fraud and developers do not profit from it. Moreover, it doesn’t help to have the best character on a server if you can’t play it properly, meaning you don’t automatically have advantages in PvP content.
Of course, a trading system like this must ensure that bots do not take over and that fraud cannot occur. In a purely PvP game, where equipment holds a particularly high value, such a feature can also be discussed.
Otherwise, however, I see mainly advantages for all sides. MMORPGs should primarily be fun at the end of the day. And if the fun only begins in the endgame, why not buy a character directly in the endgame?
What do you think about character trading? Should that be legal and promoted? Feel free to participate in this survey:
By the way, trading characters in Tibia is not that cheap. They are often sold for several hundred to thousands of euros. However, one player was very lucky. He bought a character for 110 euros and found an item that was worth much more:
The developers of Diablo 4 have now come together to discuss two important topics of the game: difficulty and legendary items. What system Blizzard has come up with this time and why you will shed more sweat and tears, you will find out here.
Where does the information come from? The news site IGN spoke in an interview with General Manager Rod Fergusson and Game Director Joe Shely about Diablo 4. The discussion mainly revolved around two important elements of the hack and slash genre:
the unlocking and development of difficulty
the adjustment of legendary equipment.
Blizzard took a closer look at these features and made several improvements and adjustments for Diablo 4. You will find it easier this time to customize your equipment to your wishes and harder to unlock difficulty levels.
New systems in Diablo 4 bring fresh air
This is how you unlock difficulty levels in Diablo 4: Earning difficulties has always been easy in Diablo. In Diablo 3, you had to complete the story and reach a certain level, while in Diablo Immortal, merely completing the story was sufficient. In Diablo 4, the unlocking will change because you will have to earn them through hard work.
When you start your journey in Sanctuary, you will have the choice between two difficulties. Afterwards, you need to level your hero to level 50 before you unlock the menu for further levels.
The world of Sanctuary is tough and unforgiving
World bosses function as gatekeepers for difficulty levels
Once you reach level 50, you can earn additional difficulties only after defeating certain world bosses. These are tied to the difficulty levels to be earned.
This means that if you need to defeat a boss for level “Hell 3”, you will have to do so on the difficulty “Hell 3” as well.
Only then will “Hell 3” be unlocked. However, to prove yourself, you need good, and above all, legendary and rare equipment, and these will also get a new look.
This is how you will be able to customize equipment in Diablo 4: The most exciting feature of legendary equipment is its great variety of customization. Blizzard has adopted a well-known system, the Kanai’s Cube, and brought back the mechanics behind it better.
Thus, you not only take on desired effects on your hero, but can also insert legendary effects into a rare piece of equipment. You do not need a Kanai’s Cube for this.
This allows armor and weapons to be shaped according to your hero’s heart’s desire. Diablo 4 will come up with quite a bit before it can cross the gates of its release. What do you think of the adjustments to these well-known systems?
Do you think it is good that difficulties now have to be earned, or do you want the old system back? Let us know in the comments!

The Artful Escape (PS4, PS5)
The Artful Escape was only released at the beginning of the year on PlayStation, while it could be played on Xbox and PC since last year.
In the psychedelic adventure, you play as Francis Vendetti, a teenage guitar talent who embarks on a consciousness-expanding and intergalactic journey to inspire his stage persona and confront the legacy of a dead folk legend.
The Artful Escape has a very good score of 81 points on metacritic.com and impresses with its great graphics and compact playtime. According to howlongtobeat.com, you need to plan about 4 hours of gameplay until you see the credits. So it’s the perfect game to spend a relaxed afternoon between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Here you can watch the launch trailer for The Artful Escape on PlayStation:
The cooperative shooter Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor to the popular Left 4 Dead series. Consequently, you mainly have one goal in the game: to escape hordes of zombies while shooting as many of them as possible. It’s particularly fun when you go zombie hunting with your friends.
The game was released about a year ago for PlayStation consoles and triggered a small hype at release, which dissipated quickly and could not reach the successes of earlier Left 4 Dead titles.
That’s a shame since the first-person shooter is quite entertaining and visually appealing, and the hardcore action will definitely get your pulse racing. A PS Plus release could certainly help more players enjoy Back 4 Blood.
The acclaimed indie game Dead Cells was released in 2018 for PS4 and shines with a score of 87 on metacritic.com.
In the roguevania, you play as a nameless inmate with memory loss, who comes to on a prison island. Your task is, therefore, to escape from that island and, meanwhile, to take revenge on the king who cut off your head. However, there is a catch: every time you die, you are completely sent back to the beginning of the game. Thus, you have to fight your way anew through procedurally generated dungeons after every death, hoping to have the perfect run and finally escape the island.
The 2D sidescroller is classically tough in roguelike fashion but is equally addictive and will surely keep you glued to the screen for a while.
If you want to see what the gameplay of this action platformer inspired by Metroidvania games looks like, you can take a look here:
What does PS Plus Essential offer? In addition to the free games of the month, PS Plus frequently offers discounts for other games, as well as a cloud for your save data. Additionally, you regularly receive cosmetics or in-game currencies from various games for free.
Moreover, the subscription is important if you want to use multiplayer games on your PlayStation. Only a few games allow you to play in online mode without a PS Plus subscription.
Some of the most useful features of the PS5 are disabled by default. These unlock the best out of your console. You can find out what settings these are in this article.
Directly at the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 the first part of Warzone will go offline. Only 12 days later, the game will return under a new name. From then on, both Warzones will be playable as separate titles – which brings a small catch.
However, the original Warzone will go offline directly at release, from November 16 at 5 PM to November 28 at 7 PM German time, and will not be playable, as the developers have now announced (via Call of Duty Blog).

CoD: Warzone 2.0 will be bigger and better – But there’s one thing you have to give up
Why can’t I play Warzone? The development team wants to ensure that everything runs smoothly at the launch of Warzone 2.0. Therefore, all resources will be directed towards supporting the new game.
Additionally, the developers want to give themselves a little breather after the release of Warzone 2.0 for Thanksgiving. That’s why Warzone 1 will only come back online on November 28.
The first part will also receive a new name: Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera, to better distinguish itself from Warzone 2.0. This also means that you will not be able to carry over any content you have earned into the new game.
You cannot carry items from Warzone to Warzone 2.0
In the blog post, the developers reiterate that the two games are standalone titles with separate progress systems. The developers state:
Weapons, progress, and inventory from Warzone 2.0 will be tied to the content of Modern Warfare 2 and its systems. This is due to a combination of community feedback, technical limitations, and the need to simplify the next and latest Warzone to provide players with a seamless path into the new experience.
To celebrate the end of Warzone and the start of Warzone 2.0, you can create your own highlight video. Here are the highlights from our CoD expert Maik Schneider:

Warzone: Legends Video by Maik
This means that everything you earned in Warzone will only be usable there. It will also not be possible to use XP tokens across both games. Here’s a short summary of the restrictions:
Progress and content from Modern Warfare (2019), Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard will only be available in Caldera
There will be a standard battle royale playlist in Caldera
Content from Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 will not be available in Caldera
Caldera will no longer have an in-game shop, but CoD coins will apply in all CoD titles
Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will not be playable at launch
It is also stated that Warzone Caldera will not receive any further content updates. Development will then focus on the successor, Warzone 2.0. You can find everything about the new battle royale in our special:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has released its roadmap for Season 1. Included are the highlight maps from CoD MW 2019 – Shoot House (Release) and Shipment (Mid-Season). What other content is included in Season 1, we will show you here on MeinMMO.
The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the most successful launch of a premium title in the CoD series. The shooter attracted 40% more players than any other annual CoD title at launch.
However, some features were missing at launch that many players expected. With Season 1, that should change, and new content is also coming. Here’s an overview:
What comes with Season 1? We also list the new features with a brief explanation:
Hardcore modes – Tier 1
Fewer lives, hardly any HUD, and friendly fire – many CoD players prefer it a bit tougher, but at launch, the hardcore options were not in the game. They come with Season 1 under the new name “Tier 1”.
6v6 map: Shoot House
As was the case for the first Season of CoD MW 2019, Shoot House comes to the game. The map was brand new in 2019 and immediately became a classic with its 3-lane system and clear layout. One of the most popular maps back then is now returning with some adjustments.
Combat statistics
Currently, you can view neither your global K/D in MW2 nor any other statistics. So far, you could only see your match K/D. With Season 1, such things become visible.
Battle Pass / 3 new weapons
Modern Warfare 2 is now the fourth consecutive CoD with a Battle Pass. Here you can get over 100 in-game items for around €10, but you would need to put in considerable playtime. There are also free tiers.
Through 2 of the free tiers, you will receive the new weapons: Victus XMR Sniper Rifle and BAS-P SMG (“Bruen Ops” platform). Additionally, you can unlock the assault rifle Chimera (“Bruen Ops” platform) through a challenge.
Spec-Ops mission
The fourth Spec-Ops mission: One player sits in the helicopter above and supports player 2, who clears and searches buildings below alongside NPC allies.
Seasonal prestige system
If you reach rank 56, you will promote to Prestige 2. This unlocks challenges through which you can earn cosmetics. You reach Prestige 2 at Level 100, and the maximum prestige level of Season 1 is Prestige 5 at Level 250.
Unlike in the prestige systems of previous years, you can now “prestige” in advance. If you go beyond the 250 levels, you retain your progress for the next season.

CoD MW2: Season 1 – Content During the Season
When does the mid-season start? On December 14, the second phase of Season 1 begins. However, not all content will arrive on the specified date – some things will also come “in-season” and do not have an exact release date:
Modern Warfare FC – In-Season
Neymar (November 21), Pogba (November 25), Messi (November 29) – the three famous football stars come as operators into the game. There will also be a small event and a mini-game mode – more details will come later.
Assault Rifle M13B – Mid-Season
At mid-season, there is another rifle for the “Bruen Ops” platform – the assault rifle M13B, which looks suspiciously similar to the M13 from CoD MW 2019.
Shipment – Mid-Season
The epitome of grind maps of Call of Duty and probably the most popular map of the Modern Warfare series. Usually, you can’t last long on the small map, but many players still love it.
Raid: Episode 1 – Mid-Season
There are not all details yet about the new PvE activity. The developers write: “Raids continue the story of the MW2 campaign and will be the ultimate challenge for trios with a mix of stealth, uncompromising action, and puzzles.”.
