The American started his streaming career with videos on NBA 2k and GTA 5, but became successful with controversial ‘Just Chatting’ content. He regarded the controversial Andrew Tate as his mentor. Twitch has now permanently banned him.
Who is Adin Ross? The 22-year-old has been one of the most successful streamers on Twitch worldwide in recent years. In 2021 alone, his channel grew by 4.76 million followers; no one grew faster:
The now 22-year-old has been on Twitch since 2014, but his career really took off in 2020. He reached an average of 5,000 viewers then. He showcased a lot of NBA 2k, played live for money, and wanted to improve the game under the hashtag ‘Make2kfunagain.’
In 2021, his viewer numbers multiplied tenfold. The channel exploded to an average of 50,800 viewers: He had turned to ‘Just Chatting,’ represented controversial views, and saw himself walking in the footsteps of his mentor ‘Andrew Tate.’ He allegedly sought a girlfriend live during ‘Dating Shows.’
How much money did he make on Twitch? Adin Ross was extremely successful on Twitch in 2021 and 2022:
With his viewer numbers around 55,000, he ranked 25th among the average viewers worldwide.
Regarding earnings from Twitch subs, he was at 55,406 subs by November 2022, earning around €180,000, assuming a 70:30 split. Therefore, he earned very well on Twitch.
Ross increasingly dissatisfied on Twitch, announces switch
Recent developments: Since February 11, a conflict between Ross and Twitch escalated: After a one-week ban, Ross complained that Twitch was trying to “silence” him and no longer allowed him to speak freely. He felt like Andrew Tate.
Subsequently, he announced on February 12 that he would stream on the new platform “Kick” from now on. There he broadcasted the Super Bowl live to 100,000 viewers.
On February 23, he announced that he would stream permanently on Kick.
Kick is a new competitor to Twitch, apparently backed by an online casino.
What was his ban? The platform Twitch banned him for the 8th time on February 25. According to Ross, this ban is permanent, meaning there is no end date.
Reasons for the ban are not known.
What does Adin Ross say? After the ban, speculation arose that Adin Ross is now facing a problem:
Adin Ross was apparently offered a highly lucrative exclusive contract from the platform Kick.
But if Ross can no longer stream on Twitch, his bargaining position would now be much worse, and Kick could offer him much less money.

The streamer says he fears that Ross is walking a “dark, deep path”.
