The next patch of World of Warcraft is coming much earlier than expected. Already at the beginning of May, it will be heading to Aberrus, in the new raid.
The current patch 10.0.7 has only been live for a few weeks, but this year, Blizzard apparently knows no respite for the fans of World of Warcraft. The first “big” update of the expansion is coming and has already received a release date. With the early release of patch 10.1 Glut of Neltharion, WoW is likely surpassing its own schedule and not allowing the risk of content drought to arise.
When is patch 10.1 released? The official release date of patch 10.1 is May 3, 2023 – exactly one month from now. As usual, the patch will go live on the US realms a few hours earlier on May 2, due to the time difference and different maintenance work.
What’s included in the patch? With the patch, players will descend into the Zaralek Caverns. This is a new area located directly beneath the Dragon Isles and is accessible from several entry points. Here, the Incarnates plan their next steps, and above all, the fiery Fyrrak seeks new strength and allies to constrain the aspects and the heroes of Azeroth.
The second “big piece” is the new raid: Aberrus, the Shadow Crucible. In this raid, the secrets of Neltharion and the origins of the Dracthyr await to be explored. This of course comes with some challenging bosses and also some special loot that makes your fellow players weaker.
When does the raid start? Players will not have to wait long for the raid either, as Aberrus, the Shadow Crucible, will start just a week later, on May 10, 2023. Accordingly, the “World First” race will also begin then, as the mythic difficulty will open simultaneously with the normal and heroic!

What is up with Bjergsen? The Dane Bjergsen came to TSM in 2013 and stayed in the organization until 2021: He became a superstar in LoL.
However, in 2021, Bjergsen left the team. At that time, there were conflicts involving Reginald, who was portrayed as a tyrant.

Is there a release date for Genshin Impact for Switch? No. Unfortunately, HoYoverse has remained tight-lipped about this so far.

In February 2023, a video went viral: The Polish streamer Sidneuke ran over a dog while streaming, driving, and looking at her phone. A clip of the incident went viral on Twitter. The clip shocked and outraged people worldwide. For the streamer, the act had drastic consequences: Twitch banned her permanently. But now she has switched to Kick.com. The platform is becoming a safe haven for those who have fallen from grace on Twitch.

This was the incident that shocked so many:
The Polish streamer is sitting in the car, filming herself with her phone, and complaining that so many dogs are running free (via twitter).
The streamer looks at her phone when she suddenly gets startled because the car jolts. She then says, “I ran over a dog!”
In the aftermath of the clip, she gets upset about how many people let their dogs run around freely. They should be leashed. She does not further address her behavior of staring at her phone while driving.
Moments before the accident, the streamer has eyes only for her phone, not the road.
This was the reaction: The situation outraged people worldwide in February 2023, especially on Twitter. The behavior of the streamer was seen as irresponsible.
According to reports, a Polish animal protection authority opened an investigation against her and wanted to transfer the case to the prosecutor’s office.
The streaming platform Twitch, where this took place, has issued a permanent ban against her. Twitch often responds to public outrage with permanent bans, especially on Twitter.
This is what the streamer said about it: The streamer later stated on Twitter that the dog is fine. She is in contact with the owner. She has learned her lesson and will not look at her phone while driving anymore.
However, according to the streamer, the criticism of her is hypocritical. She said (via twitter):
Top influencers, who have never used a phone while driving, put pressure on me and spread misinformation. I made a mistake, but I got out and took care of it! I didn’t leave the dog to die!
What happened next? According to a report by the Spanish site 3D Juegos, the streamer initially accepted the consequences of her actions and apologized on Twitter.
However, she is now simply bypassing the ban by continuing to stream on Kick, Twitch’s competitor. She has already been active there for 18 days and has 142 followers.

What kind of game is this?Bellatores was originally announced as Project N1 in 2020. It is set to be a fantasy MMORPG with a focus on a medieval world. This world is promised to be particularly realistic, with a mix of PvE, PvP, and survival:

Dungeons and raids are only available in the open world, so other factions can attack you during these boss fights.

With the Endwalker addon in Final Fantasy XIV, the great storyline around Hydaelyn and Zodiark has concluded, but the game is far from over. What does the near and distant future hold for the MMORPG?
Here’s what the director says: Many months before the release of Endwalker, the director of FFXIV, Naoki Yoshida, emphasized that his game does not end there. The support for the MMORPG would continue for years afterwards, Yoshida stated.
Concrete plans exist for at least another 5 years (via Kotaku) and the next addon is already in the works, as the director explained in an interview on Radio Mogstation. However, the details are still shrouded in silence.

Into the Void
This is the status of the story: In the ongoing story of FFXIV, a quieter phase has begun after Endwalker. The end of the world has been averted, and the Warriors of Light suddenly have a lot of free time, which they spend seeking new adventures.
These adventures take them back to the beginnings of FFXIV, the Crystal Tower raid. The world of darkness, also known as the Void, which is briefly visited during the raid, is the next travel destination.
In search of Azdaja, the sister of the great dragon Vrtra, the Warrior of Light and his allies have found a way to traverse the Void. There they meet Zero, part Voidsent, part human, who tells more about the history and the rules of their world.
The new antagonist of the story is initially a Voidsent named Golbez, whom some Final Fantasy fans may recognize from FFIV. He commands a massive army led by his generals and holds Vrtra’s sister captive.
Fun Fact: After completing the story quests of 6.2, visiting Cyella and Unukalhai in the Crystarium allows for a conversation about the journey to the 13th shard. They both originally hail from there and now have new dialogue options. However, this is only possible if you have completed their respective quest lines beforehand.
What’s next? In the upcoming patches, fans can expect further confrontations with Golbez and his henchmen. The few fragments and clues from the cutscenes of patch 6.2 have sparked many speculations among players, primarily centered around Golbez and who he really is. These include:
He is one of the Warriors of Light from the 13th shard.
To become so powerful, he consumed a portion of Zodiac’s ether.
Some even suspect that Golbez is one of Azem’s shards.
Golbez in front of a figure dressed like one of the Ancients.
In any case, it can be assumed that the further story will initially revolve around the 13th shard world. The remaining loose ends of the Endwalker story will be concluded in the side content of the raids. Pandemonium showcases players’ shared adventures with Elidibus, and in the 24-man raids, they will learn who the 12 gods worshipped in Eorzea are.
The release date of patch 6.4 is set for the end of May, with the patch again being divided into several parts. Updates 6.41 and 6.45 will be released a few weeks to months later.

The developers of the upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation recently held their monthly livestream. In it, they provided fans with new details about the storyline and the next alpha.
Originally, the release of Ashes of Creation was scheduled for 2019, but the MMORPG has been postponed several times. Currently, fans are waiting for Alpha 2, which is supposed to be followed by Beta one day. Every month, the developers at Intrepid Studios discuss in a stream how their work is progressing.
At the beginning of the livestream, someone immediately asked about the second alpha and whether it was “months or years away.” Intrepid Studios replied: “Alpha 2 is not years away, but it is also not just around the corner” (via Youtube).
The developers promised their community not to give more data until they feel completely sure. This is probably due to the repeatedly postponed tests and release dates in the past.

The story continues based on what the players do
In addition to upcoming tests, the developers are discussing the storyline. It is not linear; players cannot even accept their quests themselves.
Instead, the MMORPG injects appropriate content based on what the players are doing and how far the nodes have progressed. When a node, for example, reaches a certain level, the story continues.
What are nodes? Nodes are locations in the open world that can be captured, expanded, and defended by players. Each node has a zone that it influences. Everything that happens within this zone affects the node. Completing tasks or collecting materials gives the node experience.
The story then proceeds not only through emerging quests and dialogues but also through changes in the environment, as the developers explain.
Although Alpha 2 still seems far away, the community appears enthusiastic in the comments. “I’m so glad about these streams! Ashes of Creation is one of the few games where I follow the development so closely. Keep up the good work,” writes one of the fans.
“The passion that every team member has for Ashes of Creation comes through when you just listen – I love that. I can’t wait for Alpha 2,” says another user in the comments.

The MMORPG RuneScape is now considered one of the classics among MMORPGs. It was originally released in 2001 and is still very popular today, 22 years later.
RuneScape is one of the oldest MMORPGs still online. The developer is the British company Jagex. Many associate strong nostalgia with the game, others have never stopped playing.
There are 2 versions of the MMORPG:
RuneScape 3: This is the regular game version that receives regular updates.

Originally, RuneScape started in 2001 as a free browser game. Back then, it was only in English, with the German version following in 2007.
Over the years, it received regular updates and even launched on Steam in 2020. Both Old School RuneScape and RuneScape 3 are available there.
People report that the MMORPG doesn’t let them go. “This game ruined my life”, reads a comment next to a positive review on Steam. Another user writes: “I played the game as a child. I played the game as a teenager. Now I play the game as an adult.”
Especially Old School RuneScape retains its players due to the familiarity, as Senior Product Manager Mathew Kemp explains in an interview. It is kept simple, the mechanics are by no means simplified, and much of the content takes a long time. But because of the nostalgia that players feel with no other MMORPG, they stay.
However, there are not only veterans in RuneScape. According to Mathew Kemp, young players also find their way into the game.

A new incident shows why addons in World of Warcraft urgently need to be restricted. This is at least what MeinMMO demon Cortyn thinks.
If you know me and my posts a little, you know that I like to use different addons. Whether for character descriptions in roleplay, better dungeon planning, or just a long chat log to look back on later. A damage meter also must not be missing.
But addons can do much more than just present information more clearly. In many cases, people talk about WoW addons as being “cheats.” While this is demonstrably not the case, in some instances, it is indeed so. Such a case has now become known. Because an addon allowed to completely skip a game mechanic.
The Court of Stars has a special mechanic – one that an addon can skip.
To briefly explain the mechanic: The last part of the dungeon “Court of Stars” consists of a small puzzle game. The heroes know that somewhere at a party, a demon is infiltrated, disguised as an elf. Five different NPCs have hints about this “spy.” So you talk to the NPCs that are scattered at this party and receive tips such as: “The spy is definitely a woman” or “The traitor wears a long cloak.”
With all 5 tips, you can then pinpoint who the spy is, as the description only matches one single NPC.
If you accuse the wrong party guest here, there is a small penalty: You get stunned, teleported to the foyer, and have to run back – thus losing time.
If you find the culprit, you accompany them outside and defeat them to finish the dungeon with the final boss.
Some classes have an advantage here:
Paladins can identify the group where the spy is located using an old shield from “Legion.”
Demon hunters can, after all 5 pieces of information have been gathered, even directly identify the spy using spectral sight – they can see demons, after all.
Addon solves problem in seconds, which takes players minutes
One of the most powerful addons in World of Warcraft is WeakAuras. It’s like the all-in-one solution because WeakAuras can do just about everything imaginable in WoW. You can use WeakAuras to highlight individual effects and display them better. However, the addon can also do significantly more and reaches into many areas where I would say: A bot could play for me there.

How does the gameplay work at level 90? The Dark Knight, unlike other tanks, has only one combo, but you must manage three important resources simultaneously in combat:
Mana
Blood of Shadows
and the timer for “Dark Side”
Dark Side is a buff that increases your attack and should always be kept active. This is accomplished by repeatedly using the abilities Shadow Blade or Shadow Flare. This buff is also needed to use the strong skill Shadowbringer at level 90.

What is the story of the Gunbreaker? In times of war, many resources flow into the invention of new weapons that might turn the tide. The Gunsteel workshops of the nation Ishgard have specialized in this activity.
The talented engineers under the leadership of Stephanivien de Haillenarte work tirelessly to improve their machines. They use a technology that absorbs the innate aether of fighters and converts it into electricity that powers these machines.
Although some nobles criticize and mock the work of the Gunsteel workshop, the Gunbreakers have saved many lives during the bloody battles in the 1000-year war against the dragons with their pistols and automatons.

What is the story of the Dancer? In the vast ocean, far from Eorzea, lies the island of Thavnair. It is known for its deserts, alchemy, and the exotic dancers who occasionally come to the city-states with their dance troupes.
But few know that these troupes do not just provide beautiful spectacles and great performances. They consist of battle-hardened warriors who master weapons as well as the choreography of their dances.
And their tours through Eorzea have a specific goal. For centuries they have fought an invisible and formless danger that hides in the hearts of people.

How does the gameplay work at level 90? Similar to the Bard, the Dancer is also based on “procs,” meaning random triggers that allow it to use additional abilities in combat.
This means that the job does not have a fixed rotation, but rather one that arises from the procs that light up on your skill bar. This means you initially use your basic combo for single target and AoE and look to see if other abilities can be triggered afterward.
The core of the Dancer’s gameplay consists of its two choreographies: Simple and Complex. Once activated, you must execute a specific number of dance steps.

Ms. Secker: My name is Elisabeth Secker. I am the managing director at the USK and I look forward to your questions.
Since January 2023, a series of new regulations regarding the labeling of games have been valid. They include warnings about chats and cash shops in video games. Why can these be specifically problematic for children and adolescents from the USK’s perspective?
Correct. Since January 1, 2023, new rules apply to the age labeling of digital games. This is due to an amendment to the Youth Protection Act aimed at improving the protection of children and adolescents in the digital space. As a result, the age ratings have been expanded with additional information regarding content and usage, and the criteria for age classification have been updated.
Chat functions allow players to communicate across boundaries, form digital teams, discuss game tactics, and simply chat. This is not inherently problematic and can indeed improve the gaming experience.
