In the avatar pose, your character pretends to surf on an invisible surfboard. He wobbles, holds his balance with his arms, and occasionally goes down on his knees.

When does it start? The Water Festival starts on June 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time. It is active until Monday, June 12, at 8:00 PM local time.
The new Pokémon: You can expect the Pokémon Sankabuh and its evolution Colossand as new Pokémon. Evolving into Colossand costs you 50 candies.

The global challenge: During the event, trainers around the world will work together on a challenge. The goal is to land a total of 300 million nice throws. If the goal is reached, you will receive the following bonuses until the end of the event:

Limited research for €6: A ticket is available in the shop for about €6, with which you can unlock a limited research task for the event. If you complete the tasks in it, you can unlock a surfer pose for your avatar and additional encounters with event Pokémon.
Pokémon in the wild: During the event, you will encounter Tentacha*, Muschas*, Krabby*, Alola-Kokowei*, Seeper*, Sterndu*, Marill*, Wingull*, Wailmer*, Seemops*, Finneon*, Lithomith*, Quabbel*, and Scampisto* more often in the wild. With luck, you might encounter Mantax* and Robball. Pokémon marked with a star (*) can be found as Shiny with luck.
Pokémon in field research: Field researches you receive during the event can bring you the following Pokémon: Lapras with scarf*, Quabbel*, Bithora*, Scampisto*, and Sankabuh. Additionally, you can get Mega Energy for Turtok and Sumpex.
With Twitch Drops for Diablo 4, you can unlock cool items in the coming weeks. From now on, the first cosmetics can be earned. You can also unlock the mount Instinct through Twitch.
What are these drops? The livestreaming platform TwitchTV plays a significant role in the releases of many new games. Fans watch their favorite streamers explore new games. Game studios know this and reward you for watching their games in livestreams.
For Diablo 4, there are skins that you can unlock for free. Those who spend money and gift subscriptions can even earn a mount.

How do you get the items? Depending on the item, you need to watch streamers who have activated these drops for Diablo 4 for 3 or 6 hours. Blizzard has released a huge list of all streamers participating. You can find the document as a PDF here at Blizzard on BattleNet.
You do not have to watch all the hours with the same streamer, but can split them over different channels.
Keep in mind that watching via Twitch apps on gaming consoles, Smart TVs, and other TV apps does not support drops. You must watch on PC or Mac or in the Twitch app on Android or iOS.
Once you have watched enough hours, you can claim the drops through your inventory menu on Twitch.
When does it start? On June 6 at 01:00 AM German time, the time window for the Twitch Drops began. You have until June 12 at 08:59 AM to watch the three or six hours of stream.
How does it work? With the “Support a Streamer” program, you can unlock the mount Instinct.
How does it work? To get the mount, you need to gift a total of two Twitch subscriptions to eligible streamers. It doesn’t matter what tier the subscriptions have; you can choose the lowest tier.
Once you have gifted two subscriptions, you will receive the sturdy mount Instinct as a reward.
When does it go live? Gifting subscriptions to eligible streamers has been counted since June 6 at 01:00 AM and will run until July 3 at 08:59 AM German time.

When can you play Diablo 4?
The release time is on the night of June 5 to June 6 at 01:00 AM German time. From then on, anyone who purchased Diablo 4 can play.
If you still need to download Diablo 4, you need roughly 90 GB of free space – or 50 if you don’t download the HD textures or play on PS4/Xbox One. Here you can find information about the system requirements for Diablo 4.
Meanwhile, there are small queues of about a minute if you want to log in. Additionally, players reporting the license issue claim to have lost all their progress from early access. However, it’s likely just a display error like before with Diablo 2.

What makes Dune so special
The YouTuber mentions that Dune was a very special project for director Denis Villeneuve and describes the years-long journey until he finally fulfilled his dream of making the film.
The composer of the film is Hans Zimmer, who even gave up a project with Christopher Nolan to work on Dune. He dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the composition of the film’s soundtrack, spending a week alone in the Utah desert for it.
The different fighting styles in the film were created by fight choreographer Roger Yuan, based on historical styles and assigned to the various factions in the film according to their characteristics.

The 31-year-old content creator Edwin “Castro1021” Castro is dedicated to the football simulation FIFA on Twitch and YouTube. In March, he founded his own team in 7-a-side football. However, the team’s first major tournament ended quickly after an alleged racist incident.
What kind of team is this? Edwin “Castro1021” is one of the biggest FIFA streamers in the world (via sullygnome). At the end of March 2023, he announced that he wanted to participate with his own team in The Soccer Tournament. For the streamer, it was “like FIFA in real life” – just probably with fewer packs. However, in the game, it is quite rare that one is eliminated from a tournament due to a player’s misconduct.

Opponent reportedly leaves the field after racist incident
What was the incident? After a disappointing 3–1 in the opening match, Dallas United faced West Ham United F.C. on June 1.
Castro’s team was in the lead when there was a longer interruption, after which West Ham left the field together and the match was abandoned. The trigger was allegedly a racist insult by a player from Dallas United against an opposing player.
It is unclear what exactly was said, however, the Daily Mail reports that a Black West Ham player was insulted with the N-word. In a video, Anton Ferdinand from West Ham appears to be telling the referee that he wants to set a precedent.

The official Twitter account of the TST soon released a statement stating that they had conducted an investigation into the last moments of the game and found that Dallas United had violated the code of conduct.

In an interview with Inverse, Milla Jovovich explained why she almost threw in the towel on the Resident Evil project:
I almost left the film. I was filming something else, and Paul had cast Michelle Rodriguez for the role of Rain. She had just come off Girlfight, and there was an Oscar buzz. She was very new at that time, and I had already been in the business for four years.
So Paul rewrote the script for her. This made my character essentially ‘the girl’ and Rain was ‘the guy’. She got all of my big action scenes, and she became like Alice. And then Alice became this sidekick.
Jovovich received the revised script only when she wanted to travel from Canada to Germany for a project. She read the new version on the plane and was very angry when she landed in Berlin.
Upon arriving at the hotel, she told director and screenwriter Paul Anderson that they needed to have a big discussion.
The actress continues, “So Paul came over that evening, and we really sat there for three hours going through the script page by page. He said: ‘What do you think? Not much has changed?’
So I said: ‘Okay, why don’t we start with page one?’ I pointed out every time I felt that my great scenes were taken away.” After that, Jovovich ultimately took on the lead role in the successful film series.
According to the actress, this was also the moment when their relationship began. Jovovich and Anderson have been married since 2009 and have three children.

Why did he waste his time? On June 2, the Early Access of Diablo 4 started – pre-order customers could play before the official Diablo 4 release on June 6. This includes Honor and the Bonjwa team.
Honor wanted to play the highly anticipated action RPG with a hardcore character. A death means the end of the character. Whoever dies loses everything and has to start over. Players set the corresponding settings during character creation.
However, the Bonjwa streamer must have made a mistake during character creation and mode selection – instead of hardcore, he played softcore and since his character did not die at any point, the mistake went unnoticed for days.
Overall, Honor grinded for three days, so the entire Early Access weekend (via Twitter). When the streamer noticed the mistake, his Barbarian Heidi was already level 47.
How did the streamer react? Honor understandably reacted in shock to the mistake and was deeply frustrated. At first, he wondered how this could have happened and was appalled that it was only noticed now.
After his streaming colleague Matteo “Mental” Ricciardi suggested it was the most extreme thing that had ever happened at Bonjwa, Honor replied: “This is the biggest fail of my life”

How is the streamer playing now? Honor has created a new character with which he starts over and wants to really play hardcore this time.

Who is the new member? A new member of the FaZe clan is the actress Grace Van Dien. She is 26, starred in the Netflix series “Greenhouse Academy” and in “The Village”; she was also seen in Season 4 of Stranger Things.
As “FlueFille,” the actress has been active on Twitch since May 2021, playing Valorant, 180 hours last year, and has about 1,700 viewers on average.
In March 2023, she decided to focus more on her streaming career, joining the FaZe clan on May 25, 2023.

Where is the dispute? The long-standing shooter influencers of FaZe publicly shot against her joining and criticized their own clan.
The FaZe clan only posted “friendly” tweets on Twitter on May 26 from people like Twitch streamer Pokimane, YouTuber Valkyrae, strategist Disgusied Toast, or Valorant boss Tarik.
But beneath the tweet, FaZe Rain (27) complained: “Oh, so you picked them.”

Where did the dispute really begin? When the FaZe clan published a statement on June 1 saying that they stand behind Grace Van Dien, one of the shooter players, FaZe Rain, wrote under the clan’s tweet: “Ratio, shut your dumb mouth, Cbass.”
A ratio serves to indicate “displeasure” with a tweet.
The dispute appears to be a continuation of problems that Rain has long had with the clan’s “Social Media Director”, CBass. On May 2, 2023, Rain threatened to leave the FaZe clan if they would not publicly oust Cbass (via dexert).

Dispute escalates until the actress cries
How did the dispute escalate? FaZe Rain apparently had the most problems with Van Dien. He said that the 26-year-old “is an innocent girl” who surely doesn’t even know what it’s all about. She is probably still playing with Barbies.
Van Dien, on the other hand, said in a video that Rain was known for his trick shots in the past, but she mainly knew him because of his drug problems, as he once overdosed while streaming.
Ultimately, they agreed to meet for a personal conversation.

“Are you getting emotional?” – Clarifying conversation escalates
The conversation went completely wrong. The two confronted each other during the meeting:
Van Dien did apologize for the overdose comment, but confronted Rain about his sexist remarks
Rain accused her of being unable to handle a comment. Apparently, she lacks self-confidence. Why does it even interest her what he says about her? He understands her, but he is just being honest. After all, she has also shot against him.
The conversation grew increasingly heated. Van Dien told Rain that she didn’t like him; he is a terrible person. Rain calmly countered: That’s okay with him.

How do the bosses work? After my story outing, I spent all my remaining time on the bosses. You can select and start them directly from the menu, as long as you are near the corresponding quest.
Eight different bosses await you, each in 10 different difficulty levels. You will fight the tough opponents alone in an instanced area. The quicker you can take down the nasty foes, the better. This way, you automatically enter a leaderboard that is divided by difficulty level, boss, and your class.
Although you fight alone in your own area, you do not use up your fever here, which is your hour a day that you can slip into your own farming spots. Instead, the bosses are limited in number. You can kill a total of 5 bosses per week per account.
You can gather certain “orbs” through various tasks in the expansion, which give you an advantage against each of the bosses and are relevant for the remaining 90% of your damage. Thus, players starting in Land of the Morning Light and veteran players with years of experience can play on a closely matching level and have similar chances for the top spots on the leaderboards.

Bosses require skill and mechanics
How difficult are the bosses really? During my play session, I fought against a total of 5 bosses. It stands out that all of them bring their own setting and a fitting atmosphere.
They also require you to adapt quickly and learn their attack patterns and mechanics, or they will wipe the floor with you in no time. The difficulty levels scale upwards very quickly and present problems earlier than I initially thought.
I could still handle the first level bosses reasonably well by the 2nd or 3rd attempt. Most of them have wipe mechanics that you must understand first, or you will quickly find yourself stuck at level 1. But once you understand them, there is hardly a challenge in level 1.
Land of the Morning Light is also the home of the last two classes Maegu and Woosa.
But that changes quickly. At level 3, I could only defeat 3 of the 5 bosses, and at level 5, I couldn’t defeat any. I would like to mention again that, although I had no orbs collected, I had an absolute endgame character that was practically equipped for every challenge in Black Desert.
In level 5, every move must be precise: Nevertheless, the bosses were already brutal at level 5. Here, I had to not only understand and play the mechanics but also memorize the normal attack patterns. If I didn’t dodge before the boss got me, those nasty critters knocked me back to reality with just one or two hits.
One of the present developers told me that he is stuck on level 7 privately and can’t seem to progress further. The bosses are indeed tough and require learning.
But the reward is new endgame gear and other rewards that slightly differ depending on the boss. Plus, there is a lot of fun to be had in the challenging battles that you shouldn’t miss out on. However, you should bring some tolerance for frustration.
Conclusion
After three hours of Land of the Morning Light, I really wanted to stop hardly at all, even as quite a “Black Desert” newcomer. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of the Korean setting, the story managed to completely captivate me.
Beyond the successful story, bosses await me that I couldn’t seem to get enough of. The level 5 bosses already evoked a kind of Dark Souls vibe in me, true to the motto: “I can do this, just one more try, please!” But then, the three hours were already over.
Land of the Morning Light feels like a well-executed expansion after three hours, capable of exciting both veterans and newcomers. I already look forward to the release on June 14 and can’t wait to experience the remaining 7 storylines and at least tackle one of the bosses on level 6.
