On December 12, the next patch Eternal Frost will be released in New World. This brings a new season along with an associated story, a new endgame dungeon, and further content. However, three highlights that were actually supposed to be included in the patch have been postponed to 2024, as Scot Lane explains in the video.
What does the patch bring? The major innovations are:
A new season story in which you have to find and defeat a knight of the Round Table with the Silver Ravens.
The new expedition Glacier Lake, aimed at players at max level 65.
8 new artifacts, including a bow that stuns enemies, an ice gauntlet that freezes enemies, a life staff that deals a bit more damage, and shoes that reduce your cooldowns.
A new season pass with new challenges and rewards.
Cross-server dungeons will come before the next season, the trinket may even be dropped
Why were the contents postponed? Scot Lane first explains that the season trials are still planned, but will only appear with season 5 in the first quarter of 2024. The reason for this is that they wanted to focus on the new expedition and are still working on the details. The new trials are intended for 10 players but will come without a mutator.
The season trinket, on the other hand, has been postponed for a longer time because the artifacts were not planned as new equipment in the original roadmap at all. They are now focusing on bringing new artifacts and not overwhelming players with an additional equipment slot. It is possible that these trinkets will not appear at all.
However, the team is not satisfied with the main story, so they have decided to postpone this feature as well – to the upcoming season 5.
The revisions to the territory control are also being postponed because the developers have already made adjustments with the expansion and are still evaluating player feedback to provide a better gaming experience.
However, the cross-server dungeons and PvP arenas are expected to arrive earlier. They are planned as a mid-season update for the end of January or early February.
What else is in the patch? A highlight should be the new story. It revolves around a Varangian knight of the Round Table who has unearthed forbidden knowledge of the ancestors. His name is Mordret. We must fight him together with the Silver Ravens and a grumpy wizard named Daichi.
Within the story, there should be 4 solo boss fights, including against a giant ice dragon. There should also be a quest where you have to play on a chessboard.
Besides the expedition, the new artifacts, and the return of some seasonal events like the Winter Convergence festival, there are also small adjustments:
You can now customize your inventory as you wish, such as adjusting the number of columns or the order of the individual categories (armor, weapons, gems, materials, etc.).
You can also recycle multiple items at once by saying, for example: all blue, green, and purple weapons.
Overall, however, the patch is significantly smaller than the original season updates.
New group finder rewards you when you press the random button
What has been said about the new group finder? Together with the cross-server dungeons and arenas, a new group finder will also be implemented. This allows you to play both normal and mutated dungeons. You select a role as usual, with rarer roles like the tank receiving a small bonus in rewards.
Additionally, there is a triple reward for the first random dungeon per day. This is meant to motivate players to simply sign up randomly and be sent to the group that has been waiting the longest.
Moreover, groups that have formed completely randomly receive 15% more damage and 15% more healing to offset the disadvantage of not being coordinated.
What do you think about the upcoming patch, the planned innovations for season 5, and the new group finder? Are you still excited about the direction of New World or are you rather disappointed?
Those who want to quickly level their season pass before December 12 can find important tips here:
The sci-fi classic Planet of the Apes (1968) was revived in 2011 with a reboot trilogy. Now, the saga continues with Planet of the Apes 4: New Kingdom.
What kind of movie is this? With “Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom” (original title: “Kingdom of the Planets of the Apes”), one of the best sci-fi film series is getting a new installment in 2024. On November 2, 2023, the first trailer for the new film was released, which features the well-known mix of action and thought-provoking tones.
The film by director Wes Ball is set to hit theaters in the States on May 24, 2024.
Here you can already get a picture of it:

In Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom goes back to the Future
Are we moving towards the original?
What is the film about? The reboot trilogy concluded in 2017 with “Planet of the Apes: Survival,” and part 4 is expected to take place many years after its end. This could bring the story of New Kingdom closer in time to the events of the first “Planet of the Apes” from 1968.
The trilogy was actually an unofficial prequel. You can get an overview of the individual entries in the saga at Filmstarts.
At the time of the New Kingdom story, apes have already developed into the dominant species, while humans appear to be visibly wild. According to the official summary, the young ape Noa, played by Owen Teague, embarks on a journey through which he will question everything he believes he knows.
Noa will apparently be joined by the human girl Mae, played by Freya Allan. Fans of the Netflix fantasy series may recognize the British actress from her role as Cirilla “Ciri” from Cintra.
Those who love the classics might find some elements familiar when watching the trailer: The orangutan Raku, whom Noa converses with, bears a striking resemblance to the notorious Dr. Zaius. Additionally, a scene where a group of fur-clad humans flees from a herd of mounted apes evokes memories of the original.
The original from 1968 is considered one of the absolute classics of the science fiction genre. It was an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Pierre Boulle. However, one of the most iconic moments in film history did not originate from the original author’s writing:
Today, on November 7th, the Spotlight Hour with Irrbis starts in Pokémon GO. You will receive a bonus that brings you more candies. We will show you everything about the times, bonuses, and Shinys here in the guide.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a so-called Spotlight Hour takes place in Pokémon GO. For 60 minutes, a Pokémon is in focus, which Niantic sets at the beginning of each month. This is accompanied by a fixed bonus. Every Tuesday, the combination of Pokémon and Stardust, candy, or XP bonus changes.
Today, you will encounter the Pokémon Lampi and can earn additional candies.
Spotlight Hour on November 7th – Start, Shiny, and Bonuses
When does it start? As you may know from past Spotlight Hours, the event also starts today at 6:00 PM. It will be active for one hour and ends again at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are active? During the event, you will encounter Lampi almost everywhere in the wild. If you want, you can activate a smoke to open up additional encounters.
You will also receive double the amount of candy for sending Pokémon.
Today marks the first Spotlight Hour in November 2023. Three more events of this kind will start this month. You can see the details here:
Can you catch Shiny Lampi? Yes, the shiny version of Lampi is active in Pokémon GO and can be caught by you. But keep in mind that the chances of Shinys are not increased during Spotlight Hours. So, you need a lot of luck.
Is the Spotlight Hour today worth it? You can ignore Lampi as an attacker for your teams. Its evolution, Lanturn, is at least in the Super League among the upper midfield in PvP and nearly reaches the category of the best attackers. However, the Pokémon is not particularly valuable for raids.
The hour may be worthwhile for you if you want to tidy up your collection and want to get more candies for that.
The 31-year-old Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger is one of the biggest German-speaking gaming streamers on Twitch. Unlike his colleagues like Trymacs or MontanaBlack, he only streams one game: League of Legends, in which he previously shone as a professional player. Now the LoL streamer talks about an offer to leave Twitch, which would have secured him immediately.
How big is NoWay on Twitch?
The streamer NoWay4U_Sir is “secretly” the third-largest Twitch streamer in Germany, only the FIFA crack eliasn97 and “Bro, oh my God, Bro” – Papaplatte are ahead of him.
However, the trained LoL midlaner NoWay has gained more viewer hours on Twitch in the past 365 days than well-known streamers like Trymacs, MontanaBlack, or Gronkh.
Currently, NoWay is playing League of Legends in South Korea and is struggling there with success rates, private life, and biorhythm.

An offer of 6.5 million euros makes NoWay think
This is what he says about a possible change: In a live stream from South Korea, NoWay talks about an offer to switch from Twitch to another streaming platform, which has made him think a lot.
I had a really concrete, good offer: I would have gotten 6.5 million for 3 years. But that wasn’t from Kick – Kick usually pays better, especially if you take gambling deals, but I can’t say anything about that. […]
That was a very difficult decision. I had to struggle a lot with myself. That would have meant for me that I could simply – from one moment to the next – retire. But I felt like I was doing really well anyway. I like Twitch as a platform, I’m happy to be here, I grew up here, they gave me the opportunity to live out my hobby.
The other platform – that was just – that would have been the end of the career. That’s not something that could have worked. And with that knowledge, you would have gone in: You would have just been waiting.
The streamer said that the idea of switching there felt wrong. He is only in his early 30s. He does not want to retire yet.

Which platform could have made him such an offer? That’s quite tricky: He rules out Kick himself. YouTube would be possible, but there NoWay could have certainly continued his career. Streamers like Valkyrae, DrDisrespect, or TimTheTatman prove that live streaming works on YouTube.
It would be conceivable for an offer from Facebook/Mixer or a German provider. It has long been rumored, that a German streaming service is supposed to be created that pays high sums. There were talks about Joyn. But we probably won’t find out that anytime soon.
It is definitely exciting that NoWay has decided to work for his money instead of becoming a LoL retiree in one fell swoop.
Streamers who accepted such offers and then went “into exile” for a few years earned excellently there, but seemed to struggle with the missing viewers and especially the lack of relevance.
The Light Festival in Pokémon GO is coming. We show you all the content, bonuses, and new monsters you can get.
When does the Light Festival take place? The Light Festival starts on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM and ends on Sunday, November 12, at 8:00 PM. It is the second major Pokémon GO event in November after the “Día de Muertos”.
What kind of event is this? The winter is here, the days are getting shorter, and it is getting darker outside. With the Light Festival, Pokémon GO apparently wants to counteract this, as everything revolves around luminous Pokémon.
What bonuses are there? The following bonuses apply during the event:
A limited research task will be active, which gives you a shirt for your avatar
Additionally, a new monster will debut, as well as a new shiny. We will summarize all the content here.
What can you catch at the Light Festival?
This is the new Pokémon: As soon as the event starts, you can secure the Electric Pokémon Blipp. It comes from the ninth generation of games and has an evolution: Wampitz. You can trigger the evolution using 50 candies.
This is the new shiny: The mushroom Pokémon Bubungus will appear as a shiny for the first time. It belongs to the types Plant and Fairy. It can evolve into Lamellux.
Bubungus and its evolution in shiny variant
All spawns of the event: Overall, the monster pool will be adjusted for the event. You will find the following monsters during the event (possible shinies are marked with an asterisk*).
Pokémon GO: The strongest attackers of all types in the video
Additionally, showcases with Lichtel and Blipp will take place during the event. So make sure to catch the largest specimens possible to let them compete and secure rewards.
In addition, you can also look forward to the debut of a particularly powerful Pokémon on the weekend: Mega-Knakrack appears for the first time on Raid Day, which takes place on November 11 and is accompanied by the Light Festival.

MeinMMO demon Cortyn looks back at BlizzCon 2023. There were a lot of new things – but were the expectations met?
BlizzCon 2023 is over and while there were few announcements, there were a few really big ones. Whether it’s the addon cycle “Worldsoul Saga” for World of Warcraft or the addon for Diablo IV – there were smaller highlights for most. But could BlizzCon convince? I at least want to share my opinion with you, as I really enjoyed the fair.
What was announced? Basically, the announcements can be summarized in a nutshell:
World of Warcraft starts the “Worldsoul Saga” – a cycle of three expansions and the first, “The War Within”, launches in 2024.
WoW: The War Within – Brave and the right decision
The announcement of 3 expansions in World of Warcraft and thus the long-term plan until around 2030 is quite brave. Because if someone does not like the story of the “Worldsoul Saga”, they already know: “Goodbye, I’m out.” Therefore, this is a quite bold step that also shows that Blizzard is now “going through with it”. This was accompanied by an initial (very good) cinematic that brought some to tears.
Start video
WoW: The War Within – All the major features of the new expansion
With the Worldsoul Saga, WoW aims to conclude all major story arcs of the last 20 years – and then make room for something new. Whatever that will be.
Although there are some controversies, such as the 3-day early access for buyers of the Epic Edition – but the general announcement convinced me and makes me excited for more. But I also love the story surrounding Xal’atath and the Titans, whose true machinations are now coming to light.
WoW Classic – Two exciting ideas
Fans of WoW Classic also have some really big highlights. While opinions about “Cataclysm” are indeed divided – after all, it’s the beginning of the end for many – the Season of Discovery, in particular, has received great positive feedback. Because at its core, this is “Classic+”. There are new contents for Classic with new abilities, brand new raids, and many creative ideas. Those who are not interested do not have to participate – it only affects the new “season” realms. From my point of view, a clear win.
Diablo IV – More content and an expansion
Even though fans of Diablo IV are a little disappointed that there was relatively little new information, the announcement of the first expansion is clearly positive. The story of Mephisto and everything that happens after the main story offers a lot of potential for improvements and of course a new class.

Overwatch 2 – New hero, new mode, better battle pass
Since Overwatch 2, despite all the justified criticism, still belongs to my favorite games, I also found the announcements here super.
The new tank Mauga was already confirmed but turned out to be cooler than expected. After all, he not only got a stylish trailer but also seems to be a really good counter for flying enemies (like Pharah or Echo) – something that tanks have had little influence on so far.
Start video
Overwatch 2: This is Mauga, the crazy laughing tank who always gets headshots
What is also exciting is what Blizzard has not shown so far. The battle pass is supposed to be reworked and made more accessible. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to unlock old mythic skins if they do not want the new one – a good solution, in my opinion.
Hearthstone – Finally coop and catch-up packs
Hearthstone has been on a downward trend in recent years. With more and more cards and rising costs, Blizzard’s card game has become increasingly unattractive. But now they have presented solutions. In the future, there will be “catch-up” packs that contain a whopping 50 cards from the current expansions. This way, newcomers can quickly stock up and catch up.
At the same time, for the most popular mode, Battlegrounds, there will also be a two-player mode where players can cooperatively compete against other teams – overdue, but definitely a good announcement.
Lastly, I was also quite excited by the closing concert of LE SSERAFIM. K-Pop and BlizzCon seemed like a pretty critical combination, and obviously, many felt that way. When the band was announced, many left their seats, although new fans quickly came in.
The performance seemed to have thrilled the audience and according to our editor Benedict, it was so packed that you could only watch from outside on screens. The 30-minute performance of the band indeed led to the group appearing more frequently on my playlist – but that might also be due to my preference for idol anime.

It is no secret that I like most of Blizzard’s games, even though I also see many things critically, such as the German translations. Therefore, I really enjoyed BlizzCon and my expectations were more than met. Of course, they were also low ahead of time, but especially players of World of Warcraft (whether Classic or Retail) have a lot to look forward to.
The only ones who were probably disappointed were those expecting a big announcement of a new game. But that was likely the smallest group.
How did you like BlizzCon 2023? Which announcement was good and which was rather unsuccessful?

In conjunction with the Light Festival, Pokémon GO is launching a Limited Research for all trainers. We will show you an overview of all tasks and their rewards. This way, you can see what is hidden behind each quest.
However, a Limited Research is also part of the event. Due to the time difference, some trainers have already completed all tasks and share with the community which rewards are hidden behind them.
Light Festival: Limited Research

Stage Reward: If you complete all 7 tasks and claim the corresponding rewards, you will also receive an encounter with Alolan Raichu, 3,000 experience points, and a Light Festival-themed T-shirt for your character.
How much time do you have? Since this is a limited-time research, Niantic has set a period during which you should complete the tasks. You have time from November 7 at 10:00 AM to November 12 at 8:00 PM. This is based on local times.
However, the assigned tasks are chosen appropriately for the Light Festival. It should not be a problem for active players to complete all tasks within the first few days.
What else is happening? In the coming days, several exciting events are lined up for you, making it worthwhile to participate. Spotlight hours, raid hours, and themed events are planned, just like a community day in classic style.
Destiny 2 is currently in a crisis. Players have begun to discuss how the loot shooter can become successful again after the layoffs at Bungie and the decline in popularity. Many agree that Destiny 3 might be the solution to the game’s problems.
Here are the problems with Destiny 2: At the end of October, the business problems of Sony-owned developer studio Bungie came into the public focus.
This included employees from communication, PR, support, and sound design, such as community manager Liana Ruppert and the extremely popular Destiny song composer Michael Salvatori.
Additionally, the new PvP strike and security team was also downsized as part of the layoffs.
In light of the poor development and Bungie’s unclear statements, players are now thinking about possible solutions to bring Destiny back on track. Although the loot shooter is in a crisis, some players still show their commitment and willingness to find solutions.
The Final Shape was supposed to take the Guardians inside the Traveler for the first time. Now, what Bungie shows in this video is hardly desired by anyone:

Is Destiny 3 the lifeline for the franchise?
The idea of Destiny 3 as a lifeline for the franchise is widespread in the community. Players believe that a complete restart that solves the problems of Destiny 2 might be the key to reviving interest and excitement.
The player Edward Tracer states: “Destiny 2 feels bloated and contentless.” The season model is stale, activities feel too similar, and thus it is time for a reset in the form of Destiny 3.
Other players agree with his opinion for the following reasons:
Point 1: The current storyline of the game doesn’t look good
Especially new players cannot follow the story meaningfully. On one hand, because they don’t know what to do next. On the other, because essential parts of the story are currently not playable, leaving them clueless about what they are fighting for.
Point 2: The recycling of weapons and locations
Although Bungie attempted to largely reverse the sunsetting of weapons and locations in Destiny 2 and has gradually brought some of this content back into the game, many players found this to be too much recycling. Particularly since they did not want this content as a replacement for new content. They want to “play the complete game they paid for.”
Point 3: A new game engine
Destiny 2 is often plagued by bugs and odd glitches. While these have always existed, their number has significantly increased in recent months. Additionally, there are now regular DDoS attacks on the servers leading to error codes and drastically affecting the gameplay. Bungie has partially upgraded its engine under the hood, improving not only the lighting effects but also performance, but it often doesn’t feel that way in-game.
Point 4: The longing for something new
The old model of Destiny 2 feels too worn out for the players who have been around for a long time. They want a new saga, new locations, new enemies, and above all new worlds to explore, including new weapons.
There is also a fear that Bungie will continue to release content for Destiny 2 at the same rhythm as before, and that this will not change anything. All problems will still be there.
“The most obvious reset that we need right now”
These are the opinions about Destiny 3: A large portion of players believes that a complete restart in the form of Destiny 3 is necessary to address the many problems currently plaguing Destiny 2.
Bungie needs a break from the endless content delivery, and it seems players need this break just as urgently if they have not already enforced one themselves. I don’t see how you can maintain the same cycle and expect anything to change. Expenses stay the same, but engagement and revenues continue to decline.
xho sees parallels with Destiny 2 and The Division 2 and states: “Destiny 3 has to happen, or the franchise is at its end. If we look at another game that is currently ‘stagnant’ (which was once a major competitor to Destiny, please note), namely The Division 2, the studio behind it recently announced that The Division 3 is in the works. So why can’t Bungie resurrect Destiny with Destiny 3?”
The player James Tomlinson writes: “I would be happy if there were a Destiny 3. Destiny 2 became too convoluted as the economy systems kept changing, the grind worsened over time, and the PvP aspect seemed increasingly neglected. Even a soft reset that would reinvent the systems and the game world wouldn’t bother me.”
Destiny 2 is likely on the way to a “Destiny Universe”
On the other hand, there are also players who believe that Destiny 2 still has the potential to recover if targeted improvements and adjustments are made.
The difference is that past delays did not coincide with massive layoffs. I’m sure many of us agree it’s worth waiting for “The Final Shape” to be as good as possible. […]
is the opinion of the renowned Destiny streamer Aztecross
German Destiny player x T1duS x also finds: “A Destiny 3 would not solve anything, to deliver a game that matches the experience of Destiny 2, with additional great content and quality improvements will take years, and Bungie has no income in the meantime. […] Destiny 2 was much worse than Destiny 1 and it took years to fix that.”
tinytigerxo also does not believe in Destiny 3 and comments: “Destiny 3 will not happen until [Bungie] regains the trust of its players. Because even if they release it, people will just expect the same as happened with Destiny 2. ‘The Final Shape’ must be top-notch in quality and content if they ever want to regain that trust.”
For Dark Tetrad- Revenge(r) Cat, however, has completely different thoughts: “I often hear/read how people ask: ‘What can be done to save/fix Destiny 2?’ But for me, it becomes increasingly clear that the question people should rather be asking is, ‘What can be done to save/fix Destiny (the franchise)?'”
Destiny 3 has long been a topic in the community, mainly due to complaints about the technical state of Destiny 2:
This is another hurdle to consider: Some players pointed out in the discussion that creating Destiny 3 will be a long process that could take years.
Bungie needs to engage intensively in planning, design, and implementation to ensure the game meets player expectations.
During this phase, they might not see any revenues from Destiny, as resources and personnel would be focused on the development of the new title. It is also not clear yet whether Bungie’s latest game “Marathon” could financially fill this gap.
Without the regular income from Destiny 2 and other projects, it could be difficult to finance the development of Destiny 3.
This variant is more likely: Bungie announced in June 2022 that it wants to take new paths after “The Final Shape” so that more players can understand and capture future game worlds more easily.
This is also the reason why Luke Smith, Bungie’s mastermind for Destiny, currently has little to do directly with Destiny 2, as he mentioned in a podcast.
He and his long-time production partner Mark Noseworthy are responsible for expanding the “Destiny” brand. Their mission for the future is to “think about making Destiny a universe that… extends and persists beyond a single MMO project.”
As Luke Smith explained at the time, the future for Destiny 2 was what became increasingly clear since the introduction of the content vault in Destiny 2:
I think Destiny 2 is Destiny. The design of Destiny 1 and 2.
This endeavor to gradually bring the contents of Destiny 1 and 2 together has been evident in the last seasons as Bungie continuously incorporated content from Destiny 1 into Destiny 2. Recently, this included the raids “Crota’s End” and “Kingsfall.”
A Destiny universe would also appeal to player Saint_Victorious:
I don’t want a Destiny 3. I want a complete Destiny that creates a continuous and cohesive narrative across all campaigns. This would then be the starting platform for all future storytelling in the Destiny universe.
With all these comments, it is clear that players want Bungie to take their concerns and wishes into account and improve the game. It also seems that few want to give up on Destiny completely.
What would you need to like Destiny 2 again and return? Do you believe that a fresh start is necessary to get the game back on the right path? Or do you prefer the idea of a large Destiny universe that offers all content and also allows you to explore the rest of the solar system?
Feel free to share it with the community and us in the comments.
In the middle of the month, you canprove your good heart in a new cooperative platformer on Steambecause it will reward you in KarmaZoo. What this interesting concept is all about, you will find out in the trailer.
What kind of game is this? KarmaZoo is the new game from the developer Pastagames under the publisher Devolver Digital. It will be released on Steam on November 14, 2023 and costs you less than €10 at full price. Until November 28, 2023, you can even get KarmaZoo 25% cheaper.
KarmaZoo is a cooperative online platformer where you try to master the levels with up to 10 random players.
We have embedded the trailer for the game here for you:
Start video
KarmaZoo Trailer
What to expect: KarmaZoo is a pixelated and quite chaotic platformer, which presents you with some interesting puzzles, as already seen in the trailer.
You must solve these puzzles together. And the trailer already reveals the twist of the game. Because in KarmaZoo, your good deeds are rewarded and often ensure that you master the level as a group.
In the trailer, you see an example of a player who sacrifices himself and jumps on sharp spikes. Because at that point, a small gravestone is created, which all players can then use as an additional platform to cross the sharp spikes.
Such good deeds are also not left unrewarded in KarmaZoo. Not only do you advance in the level, but you also collect karma points that you can use for new characters and abilities.
In total, the developers promise 50 playable characters, which as seen in the trailer come in all shapes and sizes. From a brave wolf to a small owl or a cheerful anchor, you can experience a variety of characters.
In addition to the levels that you master online with random allies, KarmaZoo offers a local co-op mode. In this mode, you face your friends in a competition full of mini-games, which are perfect to play on a shared screen.
Players consider KarmaZoo the perfect game to make new friends
What are the reactions? In the comments under the trailer (via YouTube), users generally agree that KarmaZoo could become a good game, especially appealing to fans of online co-op.
For example, user user-ye1xx8ov4m writes that he can hardly wait because the game looks so fun and that he loves the idea of playing with complete strangers. He also shares the same opinion as user zeezenfrozen that KarmaZoo would be perfect for making new friends.
User lynnboartsdye1943 is particularly excited about the concept and believes that more of the gameplay mechanics that reward positivity and doing good are needed.
What do you think of this concept that really encourages you to think first about your fellow players rather than yourself? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments.
In Warcraft Rumble, you can make a lot of mistakes – some have long-term consequences. MyMMO demon Cortyn gives you 3 important tips.
A few days ago, the mobile game “Warcraft Rumble” launched. It is surprisingly popular among players and impresses with tactical depth and plenty of options. However, newcomers can quickly make mistakes that often have long-term consequences.
I have 3 important tips to help you avoid long-term mistakes.
1. Never spend gold on experience
Leveling the minis in Warcraft Rumble is important. After all, you can only progress in the PvE campaign if your minis’ levels increase. It can be tempting to purchase offers in the shop. You will repeatedly be offered packages with experience points that you need to spend gold, not real money. An enticing offer – or?
No, it is not. Gold is by far the most important resource in Warcraft Rumble. While you will collect a lot of it during the campaign at the beginning of the game, your gold income decreases drastically later.
Experience points, on the other hand, can be earned for almost every activity in the game. Whether you complete missions, finish quests, engage in PvP, or visit dungeons – experience points are available in every area of the game and are easily obtainable.
The golden (haha) rule here is: Never spend gold on experience points. You will regret it later.

Warcraft Rumble: Cinematic for the Game Launch
2. Join a guild
Guilds may not seem significant at first glance in Warcraft Rumble, as they are merely a loose association of friends and acquaintances. However, guilds have an important feature that makes them lucrative: the war chest.
When you play in a guild, you slowly fill the “war chest.” As soon as certain milestones are reached, you unlock special rewards. In the first season, this is the new mini “Sylvanas Windrunner,” which can only be obtained alternatively through a high PvP ranking or an investment of 15 euros in the shop.
In fact, large guilds have an advantage here, as more active players can fill the war chest faster and thus unlock the best rewards quickly. Even if you are a solo player at heart, you should join a guild and contribute to filling the war chest. This way, everyone benefits in the end, and you save gold, real money, or a lot of time to earn the latest mini of the season.
Join a guild to get new minis and other rewards for free.
The various minis in Warcraft Rumble are the heart of the game, yet many will think: I only want a few of them; not all are interesting.
This may seem logical at first glance. The fewer minis you own, the more deterministic you can be in distributing experience points. Of course, because the fewer minis you own, the more often the desired minis get experience points, and the faster they reach a high level.
However, this is countered by your collection level. The higher your collection level is, the more XP you gain.
In general, it is advisable to buy minis as early as possible to have a large collection, which in turn increases your collection level and thus all experience points gained in the game.
As your collection level increases, your experience gain from almost all sources in the game grows. These include:
Quests
Scrolls
XP boosts
Especially lucrative is the “New Units Bonus.” When you receive a mini that you do not already own, it receives a significant XP boost right away. At “Collection Level 17,” a new mini would thus not start at level 1, but already at level 8.
Your collection level grows in many ways. When your minis reach a new rarity, when you buy a brand new mini, or when your minis level up.
A high collection level massively increases your XP gain – definitely make use of it.
In the long run, you will want to have all minis anyway to play more versatile decks and also to excel in (unexpectedly fun) PvP.
Do you have any other tips and tricks that you want to recommend to newcomers?
The new season of Fortnite is just around the corner, bringing back the Chapter 1 map. Our Fortnite author Christos was there live and was excited. But when he saw the price of the Battle Pass, the fun faded away.
Update, November 6: Epic Games does not want to comment on this.
Epic Games monetizes Fortnite through five means:
Skins and items from the shop
the Battle Pass
Event passes
Skin packs for real money
Crew Pack
V-Bucks
While event passes and skins, crew packs, and V-Bucks are a topic of their own, skins in the shop and the Battle Pass have fixed prices that have existed for years.
As a long-time player with over 2000 hours of gameplay, I constantly follow Fortnite and have also dealt with leaks about upcoming content like Season 5. I already knew in advance that the current season would offer a smaller Battle Pass, as it only lasts for one month instead of the usual 3-4 months.
However, I was skeptical about what price Epic Games would set for this. I thought: since there would be only 4 skins with associated items, Epic would lower the price by half.
So instead of 950 V-Bucks (approximately €8.99 for a normal pass), down to 400 or 500 V-Bucks, but I was wrong.
I consider this to be a nasty trick because it seems to me that Epic Games is exploiting the emotions of players, and I will tell you why.
Did you miss the trailer for Season 5? Then we have just the thing for you:
Select a MMO video…
Epic is apparently exploiting OG and rarity to lure you in
What bothers me about it? I wouldn’t have said anything if the Battle Pass had been reduced, but demanding the same price for less content feels wrong to me. Normally, a regular Battle Pass offers 8 skins, including 7 in the pass and 1 as a “Secret Skin”, as a bonus.
Usually, the bonus is a skin from a collaboration. Each skin also gets its own set of back bling, pickaxe, stickers, paint jobs, and emotes. In Season 5, it’s the same; however, you only get half of what you would normally get for 950 V-Bucks.
In the pass, you only receive 4 instead of the usual 8 skins, which include:
Spectrum Knight
Lil’ Split
Omegorok
Marauder Lynx
Here are the skins on display
I am excited that Epic has chosen to revive the old map from Chapter 1 along with weapons and vehicles as a theme, but to me, it seems like they are purposely exploiting the “OG” theme and the rarity of certain items to attract players who want to complete their collection or drift back into nostalgia.
Just the skins in the Battle Pass are a mix of various favorites that were released in Chapter 1 between 2017 and 2019 and have not been available since. Players who didn’t play back then but wanted the skins now have a chance to get similar items.
However, the skins are not special in this sense, as these models already exist in their old form through their predecessors:
Peely as a naked banana already exists as a summer skin
Omegorok is just a mix of Omega and Ragnarok with an additional 5 color styles
The Marauder is a mix of Lynx and Renegade Raider
The Knight is a mix of the Ice King and the Black Knight
So these are not “new ideas”, but rather a special kind of reskins in which two skins have been combined.
Additionally, Epic will temporarily bring old items back to the shop in their “OG Shop” so that players have another chance to purchase them, but beware: if you are not quick enough, you will miss them again and no longer have a chance to get them.
For those who don’t know what OG is, it stands for “Original Gangster.” Something or someone is referred to as OG if they have been there from the beginning. All the old skins from Chapter 1 are thus OG and for many a coveted collector’s item to show off in front of other newcomers or players.
In essence, this seems to me to be a cunning plan to attract both old and new players to Fortnite, making them beg at the checkout. FOMO in its most natural form, and unfortunately, I also know that it will work on me. I am still missing some rare skins and emotes that I did not acquire in Chapter 1, and thus I will fall into the trap.
Nevertheless, I cannot understand the price of the Battle Pass. I want to know why, despite the stripped-down version of the Battle Pass, it still carries the same price as a full pass.
We have asked Epic Games for a statement to explain the pricing policy of the current pass. Once we have it, I will include it here in the post.
What do you think of the price of the Battle Pass? Do you find it justified, or do you also get angry at the thought? Let us know in the comments!
Yesterday, on November 5, 2023, one of the most well-known anime series came to an end. The last episode of Attack on Titan was released, evoking strong emotions among fans who bid farewell to their favorite series in the comments.
After 4 seasons, which aired between 2013 and 2023, the popular anime Attack on Titan (original title: Shingeki no Kyojin) has now reached its grand conclusion.
Last Sunday, the finale titled The Final Chapters: Special 2 was released, leading to an emotional farewell from fans to the post-apocalyptic series.
Attention! We tried to avoid spoilers, but you can read below whether the series ends well or poorly.
Here you can see a trailer for the cult anime Attack on Titan:

The trailer for the first season of Attack on Titan
After 10 years, Attack on Titan reaches its grand conclusion
What is Attack on Titan about? The anime takes place in a dark post-apocalyptic world where humanity is threatened and almost completely wiped out by massive humanoid creatures, the Titans.
In this world live Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert. They fight the monsters and attempt to uncover the mystery behind their existence.
What are the reactions to the grand finale of Attack on Titan? Many fans are saying goodbye to their favorite series on social media. The finale brought them to tears.
Users are writing, for example:
“This episode hit me HARD, I’ve never cried more in my life […]. Attack on Titan will always have a special place in my heart.” (via YouTube)
Goodbye Attack on Titan, goodbye Eren, I love you forever! (via X.com, formerly Twitter)
However, there are also negative comments from those who are not satisfied with the ending. Some users are comparing the ending of Attack on Titan to that of Game of Thrones and consider it a disappointing conclusion to a great saga (via reddit).
Overall, the ending seems to polarize fans’ opinions: either one celebrates it or finds it utterly terrible, although a positive conclusion and the gratitude of the fans slightly prevail.
The Twitch streamer and shooter expert Michael “shroud” Grzesiek (29) says he feels sorry when he sees talented shooter players wasting their talent in Call of Duty. They should rather play proper shooters. He mentions examples like Halo, Valorant, CS:GO, and Apex Legends.
Whom does shroud name as an example of wasted talent? In a Twitch stream, shroud primarily talked about the player Jordan “HusKerrs” Thomas, a 28-year-old content creator for Luminosity, who successfully competes in Call of Duty as an e-sport title.
The 27-year-old Huskerrs has earned over $336,000 in prize money from CoD Warzone (via esportearnings) and was the first pro to break the $100,000 mark.
Twitch streamer shroud says.
I don’t like that HusKerrs is wasting his talent in CoD because he’s such a great gamer. Honestly, anyone who wastes their talent on CoD makes me sad. That’s how people probably feel when they see me play WoW.

“Any other game would be better than CoD”
What should players play instead? If someone with talent plays Call of Duty just like that, that’s okay. But if someone wants to play CoD with ambition for the competitive kick, shroud can’t understand that:
You can play any other game. Even that damn Halo. Play games with a real esports scene like Valorant or Counter-Strike. Damn, even Apex.
A new Call of Duty every year ruins esports, according to experts
What’s the problem with CoD esports? As the site Dotesports points out, the way pros play Call of Duty differs significantly from how an average player competes in Call of Duty.

According to Dotesports, the problem is that a new Call of Duty is released every year:
It often takes a half year until ranked modes are available in Call of Duty.
When a meta and a stable map rotation are established in the current Call of Duty, the next Call of Duty is already on the market.
Moreover, CoD is repeatedly released in a poor state and there are many bugs.
In contrast, titles designed for esports are more stable and consistent.
It’s interesting that shroud notes that people also don’t understand why he, as a “shooter god,” prefers to play the MMORPG World of Warcraft. This shows that even as a professional gamer, one doesn’t only do what they are good at, but also what is fun:
Perfect New World has released a new gameplay trailer. It shows action-packed battles that make a surprisingly good impression. Just last May, things looked very different. Additionally, the developers revealed what new features the upcoming beta in November will bring.
What kind of trailer is this? In the nearly four minutes, the focus is clearly on the battles:
In the first 40 seconds, the new class Dragonspear is shown. This class fights with a large spear and can throw opponents into the air or swing around it.
Then there are the three other classes Berserker, Galeblade, and Mysticsword. Here you can see large, sprawling effects and many powerful strikes over and over.
At the end, there is a fast ride in a freight cart and a bit of PvP to see.
Although the game relies on tab-targeting, so you only need to target enemies once and then always hit with your skills, the animations and choreography of the abilities create a very smooth and action-packed impression.
Only the minor FPS drops and the somewhat empty-looking game world tarnish the otherwise very entertaining trailer. Here you can watch it:

Perfect New World – Equilibrious Test Gameplay
The first beta could not convince, but now everything is supposed to get better
What exactly is this beta? The new test takes place directly on Steam and starts on November 14 at 4:00 PM German time. To participate, you only need to register on the official website and fill out a questionnaire. In this questionnaire, the developers want to know what platforms and hardware you own and which MMORPGs you prefer to play.
You can also spin a fortune wheel once a day to increase your chances or even get direct access.
The registrations for the beta end on November 8 at 5:59 AM German time.
What do we know about the beta? The beta brings several new features, including the class Dragonspear, three new areas, and mounts. New and revised dungeons will also be shown, and the first PvP content will be released.
This involves a kind of battle royale, where players must collect ghost cores. To get them, you either have to kill tough PvE bosses or other players.
How did the last beta go? The test in May was not well received. There was criticism for the lack of diversity in classes, pixelated graphics, a boring combat system, menus reminiscent of a mobile game, and numerous bugs and performance issues.
Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you a lot of freedom in the game. One of the quirkiest features is probably the large salamis that you can equip as a weapon. The player “cRPG Bro” presents his sausage build on YouTube, with which you can master the entire game as a “Salami Warrior.”
A salami as a weapon? If you’ve already spent a few nights by the campfire in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ve probably consumed it at least once: the salami. Because as food, it provides 6 “camp supplies.”
However, the salami is also a simple melee weapon of the “bludgeon” category. Since it is a light weapon, it can conveniently be wielded by any character “dual-wielding” (one weapon in each hand).
See more about Baldur’s Gate 3 here:

Middle finger to the AAA industry: Baldur’s Gate 3 was no coincidence
With this combo, you will become the “Lord of the Salamis”
In his YouTube video, “cRPG Bro” presents the optimal sausage build to get the most out of the salamis. Since the sausages themselves only deal 1-4 bludgeoning damage, they need to be enhanced with various hit effects and elemental damage.
For this, “cRPG Bro” uses a multiclass combination of paladin, warlock, and fighter.
The levels in warlock and paladin allow for the “Divine Strike” to be cast as frequently as possible.
Equipment items like “Caustic Band” or “Helldusk Gloves” add the elemental damage.

Even though two sausages would surely look good in a tavern brawl, the “weapons” unfortunately do not count towards the “Tavern Brawler” talent, which enhances improvised attacks.
Nevertheless, “cRPG Bro” shows that his build can even hold its own on the highest difficulty level of the game. He also admits: “Of course, any other weapon would be better than the salamis“.
The magic of RPGs: Sure, the salami warrior is definitely not the strongest build in the game. But that’s not what it’s about anyway. The great thing about role-playing games is that you don’t always act optimally, but rather as the embodied character. And the weirder that character is, the funnier the role-playing experience becomes. So if you want to play “Worst of Carnivore, the swinger of the holy salamis” – go for it. It’s never too early for a new run of Baldur’s Gate 3.
Multiclass builds are not only interesting for the salami warrior. They allow you to give your character a personal touch.
Some combinations even make you truly overpowered. However, with so many combination options, it is not so easy to find the best class. Therefore, we have compiled the best multiclass builds for you here on MeinMMO:
The Twitch streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris (35) owes a lot to Fortnite. The return of an old map brings back memories for the 35-year-old and even makes him quite emotional.
What is it about? The Twitch streamer is none other than Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris, one of the biggest German content creators. The game is Fortnite, which once made him famous on Twitch. And the map isn’t actually that new: It’s the OG map that has returned with Chapter 4 Season 5.
Before Fortnite and Twitch, MontanaBlack was active on YouTube. You can see his beginnings in our video:

OG map brings back memories for MontanaBlack
How did MontanaBlack react to the map? A montage on YouTube shows how MontanaBlack manages his first round on the new old map. The Twitch streamer is visibly excited to rediscover old places (“In my very first round of Fortnite, I landed right here.”) and to notice small changes (“Oh my God, the crate is new here, it wasn’t there before.”)
In particular, the sound of the old weapons has captivated the 35-year-old, who sits with his eyes closed for a moment and simply enjoys. In between, MontanaBlack even becomes quite emotional, although he is otherwise known for portraying the “tough guy”:
Why is the map so special for MontanaBlack? Fortnite is the game that the streamer has spent by far the most time on Twitch: More than 1,100 hours has he accumulated. The only game he has spent more time with is “Just Chatting” (via TwitchTracker).
Before Fortnite, the 35-year-old was already successful on YouTube, where he primarily posted shooter gameplay and told stories, but it was Fortnite that made him number 1 in German Twitch in 2018 (via sullygnome).
It is therefore to be assumed that MontanaBlack feels he owes a lot to the game. Furthermore, the streamer explains that he has spent a considerable part of his life in it. He honored this special connection in October 2022 by getting the Fortnite Rift tattooed on his face.
“How this man, with this game shaped our youth”
How is this received? Many fans also indulge in nostalgia when seeing MontanaBlack on the OG map. On YouTube, the montage evokes memories for some viewers of how they – six years younger back then – watched their “Uncle Monte”.
We have compiled some reactions for you here:
“How this man, with this game shaped our youth. Thank you very much.”
“It will never be the same as before, but the memories that the game gave me yesterday in the first round were just beautiful!”
“I’ve had goosebumps and tears in my eyes the entire time; I never thought this would happen”
“An incredibly beautiful video! I followed you much more during the early days of Fortnite than I do today. But this video also awakened emotions in me that are unmatched. You ARE the OG map! Thank you Monte, for sweetening my weekend!”
But not everyone can appreciate the streamer’s emotional outburst. On TikTok, where a video of the crying MontanaBlack received more than 1 million views, some users express their incomprehension over a man in his mid-30s reacting so emotionally to a game.
Others explain: Fortnite changed his life back then. Besides, “It’s not the old map or Fortnite itself, but the memory […] of a better time.”
At the end of his first round, MontanaBlack narrowly misses the epic victory – it was enough for 4th place.
How did it go with the return of the OG map? Did you dive back into Fortnite over the weekend? Or did you struggle with the unfamiliar queues? Feel free to share your experiences in the comments.
For MeinMMO author Max Handwerk, the return of the OG map was something special:
David Fincher has made legendary films as a director. These include The Social Network, Seven, and Fight Club. His last film was Monk and now, after 3 years, his new film The Killer will be available on Netflix starting from November 10, 2023.
What is The Killer about?
The Killer is an action thriller based on a comic series.
The lead role is played by Michael Fassbender, whom most probably know as Magneto from the X-Men series.
It’s about a hitman who always completes his jobs with structure and perfect planning.
But, as often happens in such films, something goes wrong during a job, and Michael Fassbender’s character’s life is in danger as he suddenly has new enemies.
Those who prefer less thriller and more horror should check out this list:
The Killer – Trailer for the movie about a hitman starring Michael Fassbender
Why should you keep an eye on the film? First and foremost, of course, because of the director. David Fincher is especially known for his thrillers and dramas. Gone Girl, The Social Network, and Fight Club have a very special atmosphere.
The screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker is also involved, and in combination with David Fincher, they created the film Seven together. The story about a hitman, along with the focus on a detailed depiction of planning and execution of the work, promises a gripping story with Fincher and Walker.
But the actors are also noteworthy. Although Michael Fassbender has had missteps in his career, he has a cold yet charming presence, which can also be seen in his role as Magneto in the X-Men films. With Tilda Swinton, another great actress joins the film, who can impress in quirky roles.
When and where can you watch the film? Unfortunately, the film does not run regularly in German cinemas; only in special screenings, if at all. However, from Friday, November 10, 2023, you can watch the film on Netflix.
Have you heard of the film, and do you plan to watch it? Then let us know in the comments.
Fans of thrillers and dark films can only recommend Korean cinema:
In July 2023, Bungie banned the largest German-speaking Twitch streamer from Destiny 2 : Luis, known as Lachegga, was banned for toxic comments in Destiny 2. He believes these reasons are just a pretext. He was banned for openly criticizing Bungie. Although Luis still streams as much as before, his audience on Twitch has significantly shrunk in the last 90 days.
Who is Luis on Twitch?
The Twitch streamer and YouTuber Luis, known as Lachegga, has been active on Twitch since 2013.
He has always been an active streamer of Destiny: In 2016, he showed 141 hours of Destiny, but at that time had hardly any viewers, averaging about 1 viewer.
Over the years, his channel grew, and many other German streamers of Destiny 2 stopped streaming: As of the time of his ban in July 2023 , Luis was the German Twitch streamer with the most viewers. In May 2023, he had 140 viewers and 18,748 hours watched.

Ban from Destiny 2 leads to a drop in viewership
How have his viewer numbers developed after the ban? After being banned from Destiny 2, Luis primarily streamed Valorant on Twitch, but was able to reach much fewer viewers with Riot’s shooter than he did before with Destiny 2:
His average viewers dropped from 106 to 19 – that’s a decrease of 82.1%
He spent almost the same number of hours streaming as in the previous 90 days
That people want to see him play Destiny is shown by an attempt to play Destiny 1, during which he had an average of 94 viewers
Permanent ban from Destiny 2 due to toxic behavior
Why was he banned? As Bungie even stated in a tweet, Luis was banned for “ongoing violations of the code of conduct, particularly regarding harassment of players, other creators, and Bungie employees.”
This is what Luis says about the ban: The German creator considers this reason to be a pretext. No one in Bungie’s history has ever been banned for in-game toxicity.
Bungie is simply getting rid of annoying critics with this ban.
Successful with hate – but you still have to show the game
What’s behind this: It is well known that some streamers become very attached to a single game and lose viewers when they switch games or the game’s popularity wanes.
The example of Luis is thus interesting because he has long been characterized by a critical stance towards Destiny: Even though he found nothing good to say about Bungie and Destiny, he was nonetheless relatively successful with the content about Destiny. People watched him play Destiny games, especially in PvP, even though or because he constantly criticized the game.
Apparently, people also enjoyed it when Luis complained about “Destiny retirees” or weak PvP players.
One might have assumed that Twitch viewers, who view Destiny so critically, would stay with the critic even if he shows another game. But apparently, it is necessary to show the game in gameplay that one assesses so poorly in order to retain one’s viewers.
We have critically dealt with the streamer and his community on MeinMMO in August:
In Pokémon GO, trainers just caught many Felino and its Paldea variant. But are they useful?
This is happening in Pokémon GO: Over the weekend, the Community Day with Felino and its Paldea version took place. Paldea-Felino made its debut in the game and could be caught for the first time.
Thus, there was also another Pokémon premiere, as Paldea-Felino has its own evolution called ‘Suelord’. This can now also be played for the first time in Pokémon GO.
Numerous trainers expanded their collection with Felino, Morlord, and Suelord on Sunday.
And even though the three monsters don’t look like great fighters, you shouldn’t just let them gather dust in your collection. The evolutions particularly have their uses.
Start video
Pokémon GO brings the first Paldea Pokémon
What can Suelord and Morlord do in Pokémon GO?
Here, the Felino evolutions shine: One thing in advance: In raids, you won’t be able to do much with Felino and its evolutions. There are simply better options among the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
However, it looks different in the PvP battle league. Here, both Suelord and Morlord have a place and can hit hard.
Paldea-Felino in Pokémon GO and Suelord
Suelord is currently ranked 11th in the ranking of the best Pokémon for the Super League on the platform PvPoke. It can withstand a lot of damage, and with its combination of poison and ground types, it occupies a rather special niche. It can achieve victories against favorites like Registeel, Azumarill, Nachtara, or Lanturn.
Its best moveset as of now is:
Dragon Tail
Earthquake
Sludge Bomb
You don’t necessarily need its Community Day move ‘Vielender’.
Felino and Morlord
And Morlord, the evolution of the regular Felino, also holds its own in the Super League. PvPoke recommends the following moveset:
Mud Shot
Sludge Bomb
Stone Edge
PvP expert JRE47 also points out in an analysis of the monster that Morlord can definitely impress in the battle league with its new move ‘Nassschweif’ (via reddit). You should try that out as well.
Currently, Morlord is ranked 33rd among the best Super League Pokémon, while the shadow variant even reaches 24th place. Here, too, you have a good option if you want to surprise your opponents in the battle league.
Overall, the rule is: If you play in the battle league, don’t let the harmless appearance of the Felino evolutions deceive you. They can be stronger in battle than you might think.
With World of Warcraft The War Within, Blizzard aims to improve many aspects of the game that have been somewhat neglected in recent years. One major aspect of this: interesting, challenging content for all players, especially those who spend time in the open world – away from dungeons and raids.
We are talking about “Delves,” a new type of endgame content that takes place, at least partially, in the open world. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas introduced these new gameplay elements at BlizzCon 2023.

WoW: The War Within – All the major features of the new expansion
How do Delves work? You can find a total of 13 of these Delves in The War Within. These are cave entrances separated by a foggy wall – reminiscent of Dark Souls. As soon as you step through the fog wall, you find yourself (without a loading screen) in an instantiated version of this cave. There, it’s just you and – if applicable – your group of up to 5 players. Delves scale from 1-5 players, so you can approach them solo or in smaller groups.
What you find in a Delve varies each time. For example, you may have to navigate through darkness with a limited light source, while at another time you might help the Earthen defend against the kobolds. Not all encounters have to be tough fights; often, there are also different puzzles to solve or “Jumping Puzzles,” as known from other games.
At the end of each Delve, however, a large treasure chamber awaits with rewards. Most of these rewards can be claimed, though some chests are locked and require specific keys.
The Game Director presented the Delves in detail.
Companion changes every season: Another interesting feature is your companion. Each season, you will have a different, well-known NPC accompanying you to assist in the expeditions. In the first season, for example, it is the famous dwarf Brann Bronzebeard.
Brann can be equipped with talents and upgrades to fulfill various tasks. For instance, you can build him up to be a small tank, let him deal damage, or use him as a healer. This is especially interesting if you want to play the Delves yourself as a healer or tank and not in a DPS specialization.
Over the weeks, you will unlock new talents. Since each season brings a different companion, the abilities may differ each time, and perhaps there will even be a bit of story behind the individual characters.
Ion Hazzikostas introduced the Delves in the first 15 minutes of his presentation:

What makes Delves so special? Delves are intended to offer outdoor fans a way to acquire some of the best gear and rewards in the game without relying on raids or Mythic+. Therefore, with The War Within, a new series of rewards will be included in the weekly reward box for activities in the open world.
This series will be filled at the lowest level with weekly outdoor events (think of comparable things like the Feast of the Tuskarr or the Great Hunt) and at the highest level with the “Delves.” The higher the difficulty of these Delves, the better the selectable reward at the end.
Hazzikostas explained that the best rewards here should be on the level of loot from raid bosses from heroic raids – which is significantly better than anything else that could ever be obtained from open world content.
“Silly hats” are also available – and they look great.
Do you have to grind for this? Anyone worried that Delves are another feature that requires massive grinding to obtain the best rewards can be reassured. The best possible rewards from the Delves per week are limited. Each week, you can earn some keys through outdoor activities to open bonus chests in the Delves.
After that, you can still visit Delves and claim the “normal rewards” or increase the difficulty to fill the weekly chest, but you will no longer get the very best loot.
Apart from strong gear, there are also other seasonal rewards such as special mounts, pets, and toys – all that “good stuff” that collectors love in the open world.
In summary, Delves are meant to be an alternative to raids and dungeons that can also be completed solo or by smaller groups. Players in the open world should be rewarded for their playstyle while experiencing challenging content.
What do you think of the idea of Delves? A cool, meaningful innovation?
