Windrose: All Factions – How to farm reputation for them

In Windrose there are a variety of factions that you can encounter. They can be leveled up so you can benefit from some bonuses. We will show you where to find them all and how to farm reputation for them here.

How many factions are there? In total, there are 4 different factions that are named as follows:

• Rebellious Buccaneers
• People of Tortuga
• Smugglers of Port Royal
• Brotherhood of the Coast

Those who want directions to the respective merchants and their leaders will be disappointed. All maps in Windrose are procedurally generated, and therefore the positions of the factions also vary for each map. So just keep your eyes open and complete quests – sooner or later you will discover them anyway.

But aside from their positions, their assortment is particularly interesting because if you want to go far as a pirate, you must raise their rank, and to achieve that you need to earn reputation. We will now show you the assortment of all factions and explain how you can quickly gather reputation with the respective factions.

Farming Reputation – Here’s How

How can I quickly gain reputation? To increase your rank with the respective factions, you must either submit insignias (received by defeating enemies), grant letters of favor (received by completing quests), or complete faction quests. All factions have a maximum of 4 reputation levels, which require different amounts of reputation to achieve:

The fastest way is to complete easy quests and defeat as many enemies as possible along the way to collect insignias. These items have higher rarity levels depending on the type of enemies defeated, which in turn allow for more reputation points upon submission.

What should I be aware of with the insignias? Especially when it comes to submitting items that grant you reputation, you should be cautious. Once you have increased your reputation points with a faction using, for example, insignias, you cannot undo this decision. Therefore, it is important to know which faction deserves your attention first based on your build and goal. We will now show you which items await you with the respective merchants.

All Factions and Their Assortment

Do I need to know anything about the merchants of the factions? Among the factions, there are bounty hunters, suppliers, and buyers. The former accept your reputation items and thus increase your level with the respective faction.

The suppliers provide you with various materials and blueprints depending on your rank, which will help you progress in the game – including new ships.

The buyers, on the other hand, want to acquire a variety of items for Piasters and Guineas from you. So if you loot a lot, a small detour to them can be worthwhile, especially if you’re low on cash.
