One of the best alternatives for Elden Ring gets part 2, presenting itself in top form: “God of War and Dark Souls have a child”

At the Game Awards 2025, new gameplay of Lords of the Fallen II was shown. This action RPG is a true Soulslike and presents itself with brutal action and great visuals.

Which game is it about? After the announcement of Lords of the Fallen II at gamescom 2025, the first gameplay presentation followed at the Game Awards. The Soulslike builds on the brutal dark fantasy setting, hardcore action RPG combat, and an immersive world, just like its great predecessors Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

The new trailer underscores that we can expect a visually impressive graphics display, just like in the predecessor. The designs of the enemies and bosses are wonderfully twisted, the armors of our alter ego fit perfectly into the world, and those who cannot stand blood should definitely avoid Lords of the Fallen II. What else is known about Lords of the Fallen II? The action RPG is set to be released in 2026 for PC (exclusive to Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Whether there will be a Steam release at a later date is currently unclear. However, it seems likely as the predecessor has been available on Steam since 2023.

The Soulslike aims to offer a fast-paced, action-packed combat system, a shattered open world, a wonderfully dark fantasy setting, and ruthless bosses once again.
