Today, on March 15th, the “Art of War” update comes to Lost Ark. Accompanying it is not only a new class but also the best combination of events that the game has ever offered. Especially for newcomers and returnees, the events are more than optimal.
What happens in Lost Ark? On March 15th, the first part of the “Art of War” update arrives in Arkesia. The second part will follow in April. And this update brings many new features, especially for newcomers and returnees.
- On one hand, the Artist, a new class, which has already broken records in Korea. It is highly anticipated and is expected to bring some players back to the game. This is at least the current sentiment on Twitter.
- To make it easy for these players, four events start on March 15th, making your return or entry as simple as possible.
- Besides that, endgame players will also receive new content in March. For them, there is a new 48 vs. 48 player battleground on the continent of Rowen, where you can earn faction XP and fight with people on other servers.

4 Events for new players and returnees – What’s included
In addition to the content for endgame players and the new classes, there are 4 events starting on March 15th, specifically tailored for beginners.
We would like to introduce these events to you, so you understand how they are interconnected and how you can best take advantage of them.
Story Event for complete beginners
What is behind the Story Express Event? This event is best suited for newcomers. It picks you up right at the beginning and helps significantly to catch up with the current endgame players.
It works as follows:
- The event can only be started on a character that is still below level 11
- Only one character per account can participate in the event
- It then guides you through the entire story, from level 10 to gear score 1,340
- Along the way, you will receive assistance in playing through the story in the form of free equipment and other items, which often come from the cash shop
- You even get a 2-week crystalline aura for free, the cash subscription from Lost Ark
- At the end, you even receive a legendary armor piece for free. Normally, you would have to complete the Abyss Raid Argos for 2 weeks to get it
Power Pass grants you the second character afterwards
What is behind the Power Pass Event? Players who have been around longer can imagine what this is about. In this event, the game gives you a slightly modified “Punika Power Pass”. This can be used on one character and immediately raises them to gear score 1,340 and beyond the story of the continent of Punika.
To receive this pass, however, you must have completed Punika with at least one character beforehand. As a new player, you will dive into the Story Express Event, complete it, and thus trigger the Power Pass Event. This way, you have two characters at gear score 1,340 and are almost at endgame.
Hyper Express Plus gives you the ultimate boost into endgame
What is behind Hyper Express Plus? With “Hyper Express Plus,” the express events are already entering their third round, this time stronger than ever before. The Hyper Express Plus can be used on one character per account, which must have reached at least gear score 1,340.
The event picks you up exactly where the other two events have now placed you with two characters. You can seamlessly continue and receive even more gifts than before.
- When you activate the event on a character, they receive valuable rewards every 15 gear score
- Included are silver, legendary cards, engraving boxes, jewels, and of course numerous upgrade materials to facilitate your ascent
- In the last express events, there was also a higher chance of successful upgrades. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed for Hyper Express Plus
- The event helps you up to item level 1,445 and then grants you a bonus that, depending on the characters, would cost several tens of thousands of gold
What gifts are there at the end? Once you reach gear score 1,445 on the Hyper Express Plus character, you will receive not only a lot of materials and engraving instructions, but also some very nice gifts.
Similar to the last express event, there will probably be event jewels again. You can reroll these for free until they have the values you need. However, a new reward is even stronger. You can also select 4 engravings that are automatically and entirely free activated at level 3 on the character. Normally, this would cost you several tens of thousands of gold.
These engravings will remain active throughout the event period. When exactly the event ends is not currently known. However, through these interconnected events, you will have enough time and rewards to catch up directly to endgame and to players who are still active and veterans.
Login event tailored for newcomers
What is behind the login event? Starting March 15th, there will also be new login rewards that are also aimed at returnees and new players. You will receive valuable gifts just for logging in every day.
The exact rewards for this are not yet known, but some hints have been made. You can look forward to legendary card selection chests and legendary engraving selection bags.
Both are items that are extremely valuable in Lost Ark and give you an advantage right at the start.

I have been playing Lost Ark since the release and have spent around 1,800 hours in this MMORPG. I regularly write articles about the world of Arkesia here on MeinMMO for you. And yes, I have tried to “convince” you to play Lost Ark a few times.
But these events are so well interwoven and promise you so many advantages that it is actually more worthwhile to start now than it was at release. The Story Express Event is so good that even I and my guild colleagues are starting new characters to take advantage of the rewards.
I can only warmly recommend to you: If you ever felt like playing Lost Ark, the March update is the best possible time to get started. You can catch up very quickly, and thanks to the Story Event, you will never be alone in low-level areas. Additionally, the Artist finally promises to solve the problem of missing support in the meta.
Likewise, the events are of course worth it for returnees and even for veterans like me. With “Art of War,” Lost Ark has hit the nail on the head for me and can hardly cater any further to the players. In this sense – see you in Arkesia!
