Amazon has released the patch notes for the major June update in Lost Ark. It will be applied tomorrow, June 30th. Highlights include the new endgame content. However, the patch notes also contain two small surprises. The weekly reset will be moved forward by one day, and a new event island is coming into play.
What are the highlights of the update? The major June patch focuses primarily on new endgame content, including:
- The new Legion Raid Vykas
- The new Guardian Raid Kungelanium
- The Tier 3 Tower Throne Peak
- A buff makes it easier for you to upgrade your gear to gear score 1,415
- The Super Express Event will be extended by 20 days to initiate a new one
- New skins are coming into the game
What didn’t we know yet? A new feature in the patch is the Heartbeat Island. This is a new location that does not require a quest to enter. On the island, you can collect festival coins through daily quests and relax on the beach and while dancing.
Additionally, the developers announced a major adjustment to the weekly resets. These will now always occur on Wednesdays. The weekly patches are also expected to be released on Wednesdays from now on. The reason given is that this gives the developers more time to respond to issues before the weekend.
When exactly does the patch come out and how long will the maintenance last? The update will be released on June 30 at 9:00 AM German time. Maintenance will accompany the update. The server downtime is expected to last about 4 hours. The servers should be back online by 1:00 PM.

Schedule: Weekly Updates & Resets
Starting next week, the weekly update and reset will take place a day earlier. The update and reset for next week will take place on Wednesday, July 6, instead of Thursday, July 7. Please keep this in mind when you are working to challenge Vykas and complete other content that gets reset weekly, as you will only have 6 days instead of 7 days! We are making this change to ensure that our teams at Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG have time to address any potential issues that may arise in an update before the weekend.
Spotlight
Vykas’ Legion Raid
Vykas is the second Legion Raid in the western version of Lost Ark, following Valtan. In it, you will fight against dangerously seductive members of the Greed Legion before eventually facing the Legion Commander Vykas in her “Garden of Scarlet Ecstasy.” During the battle, there are no revives. Prepare to fight for your life. Vykas is a Legion Raid for eight players, has three portals, and brings a whole new set of features, skills, and mechanics. Players must have reached item level 1430 to play normal mode and 1460 for hard mode.
The relic sets available from Legion Commander gear crafting NPCs require materials from both Valtan and Vykas’ Legion Raid to create a complete set. Vykas’ Legion Raid brings two new items from which gear can be crafted: Coveted Fangs for legendary gear and Coveted Wings for relic gear. Players who master the three portals in Vykas’ Legion Raid will receive increasingly coveted loot corresponding to the increasing difficulty of these fights at each level. Completing each portal grants gold, Coveted Fangs and Wings, relic accessories, and enhancement materials. The last portal may also contain special items such as engraving recipes, card packs, and enhancement books. Additionally, after completing each portal, a bonus chest can be purchased for a portion of the gold earned, which contains additional crafting and enhancement materials, accessories, and skill stones. After completing the last portal in the Legion Raid, there will also be a loot auction where players can bid for additional chests of crafting materials, engravings, enhancement books, and more.
Players can participate in Legion Raids once they have completed the guide quest “[Guide] Note: Legion Raid”.
Kungelanium Guardian Raid
Kungelanium, a fearsome power of evil in the Great War, has awakened from its icy slumber due to the re-emergence of demon legions and the chaos spreading in Arkesia. Together with Deskaluda, the Frost Predator Kungelanium will join the gauntlet of powerful Tier 6 Guardians that can be challenged in a Guardian Raid. Kungelanium will be available as an opponent for players starting at item level 1460. Like other Guardian Raids, you can tackle him solo, with a group, or through matchmaking with up to three other heroes.
Throne Peak
The demon tower, which came to Arkesia with the demon invasion after the events in South Vern, is connected to Petrania – the world where Kazeros’ demon legions reside. Through the resonance between Petrania and the tower, a distorted dimension was created. The Holy Kingdom of Sacria has confirmed that demons are breaching through this dimension and has named it Throne Peak. The dimension is growing and threatening Arkesia. The priests and knights of the Holy Kingdom of Sacria are trying to hold their position, but their supplies are running low. Defeat the demons that flow from Throne Peak and defend Arkesia.
Throne Peak is a new single-player dungeon experience with 50 floors in a twisted dimension. In Throne Peak, you fight until time runs out, and must complete as many floors and defeat as many enemies as possible before the demon legion catches you. For the first 25 floors, there are rewards for clearing them for the first time (you receive all rewards for the conquered floors). In the second 25 floors, it’s all about glory and playtime. Here you must prove that you are capable of defeating everything the demon legions throw at you alone. Participation is possible from level 1325.
General Updates
Heartbeat Island
Need some relaxation after battling the demon legions in the hot summer months in Arkesia? Spend some time on the beach or dance with your friends on the new event island: Heartbeat Island. You can find Heartbeat Island by talking to Jollous, the festival expert in the major cities, or by sailing directly there (near Anikka). To enter the island, you do not need to complete a quest in a city. And when you are there, you can return on the overseas steamer!
Once you arrive at Heartbeat Island, you can collect festival coins through various activities that you can exchange for a variety of rewards. There are daily quests where you receive festival coins for relaxing in a specific area and hourly quests for dancing against and defeating Rekiel, the dancing queen.
General and Comfort Adjustments
- A fortress research has been added that improves the enhancement rate of other characters on their journey to item level 1415. This can be researched to item level 1460.
- A CAPTCHA system has been added as an ongoing measure to prevent bots. When entering a new zone, you may be asked to submit a CAPTCHA response in text form within a few minutes.
- The daily login reward series has been updated.
- New settings have been added to change the damage font size.
- Chest contents can now be sorted alphabetically.
- Preventive measures have been added to limit the activity of gold sellers. New purchases in the store now have a waiting time of 3 days before they can be traded or transferred from the buyer’s account via mail, trade, gift, or sale in the auction house.
- Translations and in-game terms have been updated. For example, Class 3 sharpening stones have been changed from Guardian Stone Crystals to Crystallized Guardian Stones.
Shop Updates
The new collection of cosmetic items and new companions are available in the shop. There are also new growth support packages and new item packs in the in-game shop that include some existing items, such as Unas completion cards and card packs.

- Fixed an issue that caused some bi-color hair/beard styles to not render correctly.
- Fixed an issue that caused some tattoos to be mirrored on the character’s face.
- Fixed an issue that caused the attack type of the “Earth Splitter” ability of the Death Blade to not display correctly in the skill menu.
- Fixed a rare issue where fewer enemies spawned than required to complete the quest “Shandi’s Trial: Focusing” on Bamboo Island.
- Fixed an issue that restricted the number of guild usernames to 6 characters.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from claiming the Friendly Relationship Reward from Thirain.
- Fixed an issue that displayed incorrect rewards for Thirain’s friendship level.
- Fixed an issue that displayed the wrong number of relationship points when gifting Lenora a “Sound Stone of Dusk”.
