In Korea, the LOA ON took place last night. It is an event for Lost Ark, where a glimpse into the future is given. A highlight was the new class Aeromancer, which is set to be released in Korea in 2022.
What kind of class is this? The Aeromancer belongs to the basic class “Specialist”. This was introduced in Korea with the Painter class in January 2022. It can only be played with a female character and uses a giant umbrella as a weapon.
Her attacks control the weather. She can create rain, tornadoes, sunlight, and wind to control opponents or assist her own group. This is generally her role. All Specialists are intended to be classes that take on some sort of supporter role within their group.
However, there are currently no detailed information about the abilities. The release in Korea is scheduled for July 6.

Much praise for the animations, but criticism for the childlike appearance
How is the new class received? On reddit, the Aeromancer receives a lot of positive feedback. The detailed animations used in the weather magic are especially praised:
- Suhtiva writes: “Both, the Painter and the Aeromancer, are so beautiful. Respect to the design team.”
- SakanaAtlas is absolutely thrilled: “Holy shit, she looks really incredible.”
However, there are also critical voices. NobleN6 calls the Aeromancer “Loli-Class”, a class that is deliberately designed to have a childlike appearance. Similar criticism was raised for the Painter class. Nevertheless, this led to record player numbers in Korea.
Some also do not like the pure “Mage feeling”. They would have preferred a mix of Mage and Assassin. However, the majority celebrates the new class.
What else was presented at the LOA ON? On reddit, users summarized the most important new information from the event:
- The Tripod system is being revised and should have a gathering effect like the engravings.
- A major balance patch for the classes is planned.
- The training room will be revamped to allow testing of different gems, tripods, card sets, and more.
- The world map is set to be overhauled.
- New Guardian and Legion raids have been announced.
- New content for the personal island is planned.
