To get into the cow level in Diablo 4, you actually need to grind for days. However, there is a trick to do it immediately, although with limitations. Players are now explaining what you need to pay attention to and how to behave correctly when you are mooed at… because yes, that is important.
With the release of Lord of Hatred players finally discovered the cow level in Diablo 4. However, the journey there is complicated:
- You first need to kill thousands of cows and collect items.
- Then you should solve some puzzles.
- Finally, you even have to fish and enter the cow island.
- Only on a specific day of the week does the secret cow level open.

Every player who gets mooed at immediately gains access to the cow level. On Reddit, users are now explaining: As the target of the emote, you need to behave “correctly”. The mooing player must look directly at the mooed player.
The user Tindomerelhloni writes: “If someone wants to moo at you, just stand still.” That is what the “Moo Etiquette” demands, so both players don’t have to dance around forever. Just stand still, then it goes faster for both. The unofficial pose or the appropriate emote to be mooed at is, according to the community, “Hands on hips”.

Tindomerelhloni also advises: If you hear someone mooing, simply ask in the chat where it just happened to also get a… Moo. Alternatively, you should look for people with “Moo” in their title.
Many players of the cow-munity would be distinguished this way. The title combination “Moo Moo” is part of the achievement, so a combination of Moo prefixes or suffixes indicates who can moo at you.
A good place to get mooed at would be world bosses, as everyone is waiting a while for something to happen anyway. This should happen more often, especially on torment 12. Alternatively, the capitals should be a good place, such as by the blacksmith in Temis.
If someone gives you the required items for the cow level, you can actually skip many of the steps and get to the achievement faster, because that is not obtained just by being mooed at.
