Anyone who loves the chaos of the GTA games doesn’t have to worry about GTA 6. The Florida setting and the absurd crimes of the locals take care of that before anyone has to come up with their own stories.
GTA 6 will use a different American state as the basis for its setting compared to its predecessor. From the Los Santos resembling Los Angeles in GTA 5, it goes to Vice City, which is already known from the 2002 released Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
This city and its fictional US state Leonida are inspired by the city and state of Miami and Florida. So, despite the sun, beach, and American flair, it’s still a completely different setting compared to its predecessor.
Based on the trailer for GTA 6, it becomes clear that the open-world action game likes to rely on the absolute clichés that come to mind with the word Florida: humid heat, marshland, overcrowded beaches, alligators, and eccentric personalities.
Based on the archetype of the so-called “Florida Man”, on whose name more and more absurd-sounding crimes follow in big news headlines, it’s clear: The wildest stories in GTA 6 write themselves through reality.
And yes, you read that right: The following cases involving Florida men are all real and actually happened. If you ever doubted whether Florida is a suitable place for a Grand Theft Auto title. The favorite of the author, MeinMMO editor Caro, is at the very end …

Florida Man Arrested for Throwing Alligator Through Drive-in Window
A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly throwing a live alligator through the drive-in window of a Wendy’s in Florida. He reportedly admitted to officers after the arrest that he picked up the animal from the roadside and threw it through the restaurant’s kitchen window from his pickup truck – but only after he had ordered a large soft drink.
For this, he was held on a $6,000 bond and received a ban from all Wendy’s locations.
The alligator was rescued by the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) and released into a nearby canal.
