GTA 6: Release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
When is the release of GTA 6? The release of GTA 6 is planned for November 19, 2026. The game will initially be released only on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Originally, GTA 6 was scheduled to be released in fall 2025, but Rockstar Games postponed the release on May 2, 2025. Then, a few months later, the second release date was also postponed. Now the game will be released in fall 2026.
GTA 6 for PC – What do we know?
Is GTA 6 coming to PC? Yes, a PC version is planned for GTA 6, but according to Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, it will be released later. The developers want to cater to the core players first, which includes console fans on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
When will GTA 6 come to PC? This cannot yet be assessed. A waiting period of several months is possible. When GTA 5 was released, players had to wait approximately up to 19 months before they could play the game on PC after its console release.
GTA 6 Trailer: Rockstar Games reveals first glimpses
The first trailer for GTA 6 was released on December 5, 2023. Rockstar Games released the 1.5-minute video 15 hours ahead of schedule because the trailer was leaked online and circulated on social networks.

What does the first trailer of GTA 6 show? The trailer of GTA 6 provides first impressions of the city life in the metropolis of Vice City. In addition to the first images of the skyline and a view into the surrounding swamps, we also see the main characters including the protagonist Lucia introduced. We also see some scenes that reference crazy situations from real life that occurred in Florida.
Trailer 2 of GTA 6 introduces new characters
On May 6, Rockstar Games released a second trailer for GTA 6, which also presented the new release date.
What does the second trailer of GTA 6 show? In the second trailer, Rockstar Games introduced the protagonists in more detail and placed a greater focus on their relationship – they apparently are a couple committing crimes together. Additionally, more characters like Cal Hampton, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder were introduced for the first time, who were unknown until the release of the second trailer.
