Pre-orders for GTA 6 actually start on Thursday, June 25. A retailer has already published its prices, and if they turn out to be true, it could get really expensive.
How much are the prices? The Portuguese retailer FNAC has listed five different editions of GTA 6 under a working title in its online shop. The five product entries with the code name “RS,” which could stand for Rockstar, are all scheduled to release on the GTA 6 release date of November 19, 2026.
It seems likely that these are five different editions of GTA 6. The prices for the five editions are not cheap:
- RS1 – 89.99 Euros
- RS2 – 99.99 Euros
- RS3 – 109.99 Euros
- RS4 – 119.99 Euros
- RS5 – 199.99 Euros
Even though the product listing has since been removed, a screenshot on Reddit clearly shows that the entries existed.

Expensive GTA 6
What does this price mean? The gaming industry needs money. Various leading figures have recently expressed this and also show the many layoffs and cost reductions. If GTA 6 really charges nearly 90 € for the base version, a corresponding rise in prices across the industry is to be expected.
This means: Full-price titles would rise to 90 € in the future, while special editions could even cost 120 € or 200 €. For gamers’ strained wallets, this is not good news. However, the industry has already made it clear that GTA 6 will set a new price anchor that will need to be adhered to.
How certain is this? The prices mentioned above are extremely uncertain. Not only has the listing disappeared, but it could just as easily be a placeholder.
The prices are just as unconfirmed as the existence of five different editions. At the same time, the price is quite conceivable, plausible, and credible. For example, the 200 € edition might include physical merchandise, while the 100 € edition could include bonuses for the new GTA Online.
