What have the developers released? For about a year, it has been very quiet around the strategy game. Now the developers released an update on Steam. In it, they explain that development has been progressing well and they plan to publish more updates on the final steps from now on.
The post already shows some first gameplay moments. For example, Jon Snow can be seen, boosting the morale of his soldiers with a skill. It looks almost exactly like when a hero from Lord of the Rings does the same in “The Battle for Middle-earth”.
At the same time, the developers show that they rely on physical calculations. Cavalry charging at archers should be able to knock them away in all directions.
What makes the game special? In the update, the developers also show that each faction has its own trump card. They show a giant here, but we immediately thought of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons, which are likely to represent her trump card.
The tactical counter-play between units is intended to make each match exciting and promote unique strategies. The battles take place at famous locations from the series but also offer different tactical starting conditions.
In conclusion, the developers announce that they plan to release the game in early 2027. Until then, they want to show more of their game, which is intended to please fans of Game of Thrones as well as fans of real-time strategy.
