Good morning and welcome to our live ticker. We are monitoring the server status today and providing you with all leaks related to the server downtime. So stay tuned so you don’t miss anything!
What happens during server downtime? The servers will be taken down. During this time, you cannot play Fortnite.
When does the server downtime start in Fortnite? The servers will go down on May 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A short time before (about half an hour, around 09:30 AM), matchmaking will be disabled (Source: x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? This depends on the size of the update as well as the duration of the downtime. This is a major update, so expect around one to three hours or more.
What do the patch notes say? So far, there are no official details about the upcoming patch notes. If Epic Games shares these, we will update this section.
Fortnite: Patch 40.40 – What do leakers say?
What can I expect from the upcoming update? The leaker Shiina has already made some predictions about what exactly could be included in the update on x.com . According to him, you can expect the following things:
- Overwatch skins & gameplay updates
- EsDeeKid collaboration
- Data on Fortnite Community Day (May 30)
- New Mandalorian & BDX collaboration
- LEGO Fortnite Star Wars update
Regarding the collaboration with Overwatch, there will be further details. A trailer will be released soon in a few hours. In total, 4 skins will be released, namely: Genji, Mercy, D.Va, and Tracer. Items from the Overwatch universe will also be available, but these are not known yet (Source: x.com).
