That games become more expensive with their full release is almost normal now. However, the developers of Palworld see it differently and have now announced the price for version 1.0.
How expensive will Palworld be? While many games increase their price at final launch, the price of Palworld remains absolutely unchanged. You can purchase the survival game at the old price both now in Early Access and at the final release:
- Steam: 28.99 €
- Xbox Store: 29.99 € (“free” through Game Pass Premium)
- PlayStation Store: 28.99 €
That the price remains unchanged is not a given, as even in the official FAQ on Steam it is stated that the price might increase just before or after the official release.
Why isn’t Palworld becoming more expensive? In a post on X, the developers addressed the community on July 8, 2026. They explain that they are deliberately keeping the old price. The reason is the enormous support from the player base. This ultimately led to the huge success of Palworld, which has exceeded the wildest expectations and dreams of the team.

What can I expect in the full version? With version 1.0 of Palworld, a major content update will be released. Those who already own the game will receive this update completely for free. New content includes:
- Numerous new Pals
- New regions, including access to the World Tree
- An adjusted story and progression system
- Numerous “Quality of Life” adjustments
And the building system will also be revamped. The developers of Palworld demonstrate the innovations in a new video, and one change particularly excites the fans.
