Elden Ring shows first trailer for the new DLC in just a few minutes – Here’s how you can participate

Elden Ring has been on the market for almost two years now, and many Tarnished have since been waiting to learn more about the new DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree.” The wait is finally over, as the developers are revealing the first trailer for the DLC today.

What kind of DLC is this? This is the first DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree” for Elden Ring. Back in 2023, we speculated about when the DLC might be released, but the developers kept silent. No leaks or hints indicated when the DLC could be released. Only in the FAQ of the parent company of FromSoftware was the question about the release of the Elden Ring DLC addressed, but the answer left players disappointed and revealed no release timeframe.

Despite the sparse information, the developers have now announced that they will release the first gameplay video regarding the DLC. We will show you how you can be part of the reveal.

First Gameplay for the DLC – Here’s how you can watch the trailer

How can I watch? The reveal starts today, February 21, at 4:00 PM German time, but the stream including the preview will begin at 3:30 PM. The stream will start on YouTube at the following link:

According to the developers, the presentation will last 3 minutes and offer several subtitle options. It is not known whether only raw gameplay footage will be shown or if snippets of the story will also be revealed.

However, it is interesting to mention that the developers explicitly call the video the “First Trailer” on x.com. This could mean that the expansion is so extensive that FromSoftware needs several trailers to reveal all the new content or aspects of the DLC.

When is the release? Despite the announcement of the reveal, the developers still have not provided a timeframe for the release of the “Shadow of the Erdtree” DLC. We will have to wait and see if a release date will be announced after the trailer, but until then, we need to be patient.
